You need to eat at this restaurant! We stopped in for lunch after discovering it was near our house. I love the idea of rotating sushi because the portions are smaller and you have an opportunity to have more variety than committing yourself to one or two rolls. This restaurant is perfect. It's very clean and modern with amazing sushi to choose from. We tried several types off of the rotating bar and all were fresh and delicious. The staff were so warm and friendly and really added to our dining experience. Mike made several recommendations and specially made us some creations we have never had before. Ask him to surprise you and you will be glad you did. He even gave us a little Japanese lesson. So friendly and kind! I'm so happy that this gem of a place is right around the corner. This is a great place to eat at if you are looking to enjoy sushi for a reasonable price. This is conveyor belt sushi though so it's nothing like you would get if you were to get sushi at a sushi restaurant. A lot of the rolls are tasty. This is for sure the best conveyer belt sushi I been to. The staff is so happy and very nice. They are great with their service. Very speedy service indeed. They do not keep their hungry customers waiting which is great! I had to check this place out especially since it's so close to home. I'm really happy they opened this up. Ok, I am impressed. I have been here twice since they very recently opened and I will definitely return! I am a frequent customer at a similar conveyor belt style sushi restaurant in Desert Ridge and I honestly did not have high expectations walking into O2 (especially since it just opened up) but wow. The fish tasted fresh and there is a good selection of rolls to choose from. The customer service is great and the sushi chefs seemed to be really engaged with their customers. I am particularly picky with sushi and if it's not fresh it gets my critical review. After reading so many positive reviews I was excited to try a brand new sushi place less than a mile from my house. My wife and I went there this evening and were extremely impressed with the freshness of the food and the friendliness of the staff. We have frequented a similar revolving sushi restaurant at desert ridge and thought that was about a three star restaurant. This new concept and new restaurant is far and away deserving of five stars. Of course this may not compare to fives*Michelin type cloth napkin sushi places but for an inexpensive fresh experience check these guys out. I was so beyond excited to come in on Friday since this place is so close to me and the reviews were so amazing. To sum up my experience here in one word; disappointing! I walked in and clearly saw maybe 2 empty tables and about 4-5 empty seats at the "bar". Okay, great, we should get right in! The lady asked me how many in my party, two, two of us. She told us to hold on and she needs to clean every table/bar area off. Okay, great, we'll wait. While we were waiting two families of 4 walked in and one couple (party of two). The worker sat the two families ahead of me. I let it go, didn't say anything since I figured she was going to sit us at the "bar". Mind you I was waiting for a good 10 minutes by the time other people were seated before us. A gentleman who worked there looked at the other couple and asked how many in their party and the couple said two. He went to sit them at the bar. By the time this happens another couple has walked in and he sat both couples at the bar. I voiced myself and told him we were there long before both couples! He didn't care. He sat them anyways. I let it go, what ever. About 5 minutes later another table opens up. Awesome! We get to eat. NOPE! About another 15 minutes and the damn table was cleaned THEN we were seated. I literally set the timer on my phone to see how long it would take for service; 29 minutes until I finally was fed up and voiced myself to the waitress who has helped every other table around us multiple times that I wanted a drink. She stupidly said "oh, no one helped you!?"....Obviously not or I wouldn't be asking you to help us. No one came over, no one asked what we wanted to drink or order off of the menu. I WAS PISSED! By this time, we were already 4 plates (each) in on sushi. She brought our drinks & walked away. I didn't even have time to tell her I wanted to order off of the menu by the time she dropped our drinks and walked away. So aggravated. I was able to catch the gentleman working after he was helping the table behind us. I asked him if I could please order the "roll of the day" or what ever it was called because I already ate one and every time that particular sign came by, no "roll of the day" was there (other people got to it before it came to us). His VERBATIM response "you're going to have to ask the guys making the sushi because I don't know what that is"......okay, let me lean over other people eating at the "bar" and yell to the guy making the rolls that I want "the roll of the day". Are you kidding me!? I literally couldn't make this shit up! We finally, loudly, asked for our check when the waitress was helping a table across from us, paid and will never come back. I also heard the waitress make a comment about us not tipping once she quickly came over to take the signed credit card slip. Read this review, that's why we didn't tip you! read more

The quality of the sushi is adequate and there's quite a variety to try and if you don't see what you want they will whip up anything on the menu on the spot. Met my wife for lunch here today and we both walked away satisfied. They serve up fairly standard stuff like tuna, salmon, and shrimp nigiri, along with a fair selection of fresh and fried rolls to fill you up. I'm personally a bit more adventurous than anything served here, but every plate we had was a quality rendition of what it was trying to be. While not a place to go for mind blowing sushi, it's clean, fresh, cheap, and fast. We got in and out of the place in about 20 minutes for under 30 bucks, including miso, a soda and tip. We had a bad experience at the other conveyor belt sushi restaurant in Tempe, but I was convinced to try this restaurant by a friend and I'm glad I went. This sushi place is amazing! I've been to one other conveyer belt-styled sushi place in the Bay Area in California and they've got their sushi down. This place is a heavy competitor with them. The food is fantastic and the staff is incredible. I actually spilled my friend's miso soup all over myself and the floor (I know I'm embarrassing) and the staff was so concerned for me being burned/my pants being wet instead of me ruining their restaurant. Just stopped in for a quick late lunch snack. Wasn't very busy at 1:30 PM but that's to be expected. Super friendly staff. There were just a few rolls going around, which makes sense when it's not busy, and they were fresh and tasty. The nice waitress offered that I could make any request I wanted and the chefs would make, but I declined since what they had was good enough for me. Prices are good. 3 plates and a Pepsi for $10. It was my fifth time their since it has opened. Every time it has been good, finally time to write a review. Sushi was amazing today, we got there about half past noon, they open at noon on Sunday. The sushi was fresh and they kept adding new items to the conveyor belt. One of the coolest items I have had to date was a mini bowl with fried salmon in sushi rice with seaweed and sesame seed topped with salmon roe. I have eaten at sushi station @ Tatum and Kiku in Peoria, this place is by far the best. Also their non-sushi menu items of udon and agedashi tofu were delicious. Conveyor belt sushi is fun as sometimes you just don't know what you want. At this place they slowly add new items so that you can try something new every time the rotation completes a cycle. Although she did nothing as a server except give us water being that the food and sodas travel past your seat on a conveyor-belt, I still left 20% assuming some would be shared with the people preparing the food. What disappoints me more than the service is the fact that while I was going through my bills today I saw that she had added a little extra to the final amount, charging my credit card more than I signed of on. You might think sushi is great, but did you try conveyor-belt-delivered-sushi? Oh man, this place is great. Cute little plates of sushi that zoom by you as you look for one that might catch your eye. The gist is that they have assortments of sushi going round the restaurant on the conveyor belt, and you simply grab whichever plates you want to try out. Pricing goes by plate color, with a hierarchy of white-yellow-blue-black $(2-2.5-3-4). It's definitely an experience by itself, but the sushi was also extremely enjoyable. This brings back memories from my time in Japan. The sushi belt is very convenient and allows you to try new foods and get out of your comfort zone. You can also order directly from the sushi chef. So excited to have a new sushi spot right in our neighborhood! This was our first time experiencing a conveyor belt sushi concept and we have to say we enjoyed it! You get to try many different rolls without committing to ordering the entire roll. The sushi was fresh (which had been my concern and reason for not trying this concept sooner)...but the reviews were so great that we took a chance and we are glad we did! The staff was so welcoming and really appreciated our business. We tried many different sushi rolls, the cucumber salad, spring rolls, goyza, and sashimi...all were great. We really loved how fast you get to start eating...which is usually the problem with regular sushi bars...the wait.
