    Artful display!!

I've yet to have a bad experience with any of the sushi chefs here, but Fuji truly knocks it out of the park. I requested a custom Valentine's preparation and be far surpassed my expectations. He's cordial, knowledgeable and a major asset to AJ's. Fuji- thank you for making my vday plans extra special!!

Gotta remember this! I had been look for good grade fresh fish for a sashimi salad when I stumbled onto this hidden little secret, a tiny sushi bar inside AJ's! Absolutely love it!

This sushi bar is a hidden gem. Their sushi is as good as anywhere priced accordingly. Highly recommend happy hour go to three times a week.

Haru Sushi absolutely lived up to the hype! We were recommended this spot and were excited to try…read moreit, and it did not disappoint. The first thing that stood out was the beautiful interior design. The space feels modern, stylish, and inviting, making it perfect for a date night or even a solo dining experience. The aesthetic bar area creates a great atmosphere, and while we chose to sit inside, they also have a lovely covered patio for those who prefer outdoor seating. The food and customer service were both excellent. Portions were generous, flavors were on point, and every dish we ordered was enjoyable. We started with the Heart Attack, garlic edamame, and shrimp tempura appetizers. The garlic edamame was especially memorable--I loved the addition of sesame oil, which added so much flavor and made it stand out from the typical version. To drink, we ordered green tea and a Sapporo on draft. The Sapporo was light, crisp, and airy--definitely something I would order again. For our main dishes, we enjoyed the Sensei Roll, the Screaming "O" Roll, and a nigiri plate from the happy hour menu. Everything was delicious, but the Screaming "O" Roll was the clear highlight of the meal and a must-order in my opinion. Between the beautiful ambiance, attentive service, generous portions, and flavorful food, Haru Sushi delivered a fantastic dining experience. We'll definitely be back!

Some of their specialty rolls are $50/roll!!! I repeat- FiIFTY American dollars per roll. I don't know that I've seen prices that high even in Scottsdale or Las Vegas. There's no reason that this casual sushi spot should be charging like they're off the coast of Japan in an elite cliffside restaurant. The food is very good, but it's not "I need to finance this meal", $50/roll good. Also.. I asked for the WiFi password (literally titled "Haru Sushi Guest") so I could work on my laptop if needed, just to be told they were not allowed to give out their WiFi password out to anyone (even the staff aren't allowed to use it). Kind of silly to be gatekeeping something as simple as WiFi in the year 2026. I would have loved to make this my new working lunch spot, but between the egregiously high prices and the WiFi witness protection program, I'll be skipping it next time.

Been to Kanuki now before a game and just for fun, parking is easy and free (register for free pn event days and/or get validation) Fresh sushi, huge bar selection and large menu book. Not liking the fake krab, Kabuki lists all thier ingredients on the menu, making it easy to navigate around the krab. Their rolls are always sized nicely, even on happy hour specials. Lots of wasabi and ginger Service is great, plates cleaned away quickly and water refilled constantly. Seating is large and varied, eat outside, booths, tables or sushi bar. Even on quiet days, this restaurant is usually busier than the others you walk past. Draft Ashai and Saporro at great prices.

We sat at the booth closest to the front door - the interior is cute, but looks cheap. The wooden tables are not high end and we were disappointed with this restaurant before we even ordered anything. We ordered miso soup to start - so salty, mushy tofu, did not finish. We ordered two rolls. Both seemed to be a decent serving size, but the pieces were rice heavy. The fish itself seemed.... fishy. Definitely did not taste like real salmon or tuna; we're from a city with fresh seafood, and I'm not surprised that this fish did not taste right. I doubt they get fresh fish flown in and likely use previously frozen items, where you can taste the difference. The wasabi obviously came out of a tube instead of fresh wasabi, another red flag. The only saving grace was their cocktail menu. Come here for drinks and skip the meal, save yourself the disappointment. Based on other reviews, some of their other menu items might make up for the poor sushi, but we will not be returning.

It's a good mid-tier sushi restaurant and, of course, has the novelty of the revolving sushi belt. If you're looking for a high end experience, this may not be your place. But, if looking for value, Kiku is a good choice. Note: 1) Ika (my personal favorite) is listed both on their website before you come in and even on their printed menu once you are seated in the restaurant, but be aware they do not have any and 2) be extra careful when communicating your order as the waitstaff will make assumptions on your behalf. For example, I asked if they have salmon roe to which the waitstaff said "yes", but when they brought my order to our table they had substituted salmon nigiri in its place offering no explanation nor telling me what to expect, just leaving me to discover it after taking the plastic cover off the plate.

I know there are mixed reviews about the sushi, and unfortunately my experience leaned toward the negative. The sushi did not seem fresh and was sitting at room temperature. You could tell some of the rolls, especially ones with sauce, had likely gone around the belt multiple times since the sauce had started to soak into them. That said, the flavors were actually good and the fish itself did not taste bad. I have been to other rotating sushi spots where items circle more than once but still taste fresh, so this stood out to me. The restaurant itself seemed clean and I did not have any issues there. I just wish the freshness matched the flavor.
