5 stars all the way! If I could give more than five stars, believe me, I would!! 10 of 10 for customer service, quality, and efficiency! I had a linkage issue and got stuck at Kam shopping center. Instantly I started to make my way through mechanical shops on Yelp near by but every shop I talked to before Oahu Autoshop kept turning me down. I understand business is business but man these other shops literally showed no compassion and were so quick to dismiss me especially after they heard the issue and considered this an "emergency" job. And then I got in contact with Jessica from Oahu Autoshop and let me tell you, her customer service and kindness in her tone of voice made a world of difference for me. Naturally I was worried and didn't know what my options were but she helped me stay calm. During our initial phone call, she advised that the next available appointment may not be for a couple days due to other deadlines. I explained my situation and that I was going to see if anyone else could take me in sooner. I wanted to avoid paying a tow fee twice and rather tow it directly to a shop. She was very understanding about that and reassured me that they were there just in case. I called a few more places afterwards and then I got a call from Jessica. She went above and beyond by letting the mechanic know the situation and they allowed me to bring in the car within a 1 hour after this call! This saved me from towing my car twice In addition, the mechanic (owner) explained that it was a small piece that was needed in order to fix the shifting problem. He was very thorough regarding the fix and what would need to be done. He is a well educated mechanic for sure. My spouse hit a pothole and there was a tapping sound coming from the right rear wheel area, but I couldn't tell where it was causing it. Contacted the dealership but they couldn't see us for almost two weeks. This turned out to be a blessing because one of my family members told be about Oahu Autoshop, in particular Darius the mechanic. I inquired for diagnosis through Yelp and received a response within two hours. I was able to get an appointment on Thursday to see Darius this coming Monday morning . I just had to give my name, phone number and license plate number. I arrived maybe 10 minutes before my appointment. I thought I missed the shop because it's a small drive way through a black fenced gate right after the Texaco gas station. There were a few cars that lined the driveway so I didn't know where to go or park. But two gentlemen came out of the garage and came to greet me. One of them I didn't know, was Darius. Super friendly guy. He knew I was his appointment before I even opened my mouth. He said I could wait in the waiting area while he test drove my car. I swear not even 10 minutes he came to the waiting area and told me what was causing the tapping. He even took care of the problem which was very minor. From the recommendation of my cousin, to the quick response and ease of appointment scheduling from the Jessica (I hope I remembered your name correctly) on Yelp, to the awesome, fair, friendly, kind, fast, service of Darius, I can't stop saying great things about my experience. Darrius helped me out several mo ths ago when my car broke down. He let me know then that my brakes needed to be changed but I was stubborn and waited. I was so lucky to find this little auto shop in Kalihi. They fixed my problems efficiently and found additional problems that could have been very dangerous for me if I continued driving. He even fixed a noise that I have had in my car for three years with something super simple. Multiple mechanics failed to fix it and it was super loud. He listened to it and identified exactly what the problem was in less than a minute. He also gave me a quote for everything, including parts and labor, and that was the final amount that I paid. I am so appreciative and will only be using this auto shop from now on. Very fair, honest, respectful, clean, efficient, quick, no complains at all.
