Our Monier Tile Roof is not an easy job. He takes care of details and does fabulous work. Then we added more work, he did an extended patio and extended master bedroom. We think he is so great, he painted our whole house. What a talented Contractor. He's not just roofing, he can do any job. Nothing is too small or too big for him. He will take the time and follow your design. But April 2026, our solar water guy cracked some tiles. We got a bad leak around it. Our ceiling was getting moldy and we shouldn't have put it off. I called Francis and he remembered me after 22 years. He promptly gave us a proposal for the replacement of cracked tiles and for a Solar Ceiling fan. He is so honest. The price was again very reasonable! Then on top of that, he said he can work us in his busy schedule! We are so thrilled. Other roofers will try to sell you a new roof. They lie and say they cannot find monier tiles and to do the whole roof. Or even tell you when they go on the roof, they will crack more tiles. You don't want high pressure sales. He does big projects as well, Honolulu Hale and many companies. If they also trust him, you can too! He is very busy but will do everything to expedite your start date. You will be Blessed!

Terrible customer service. HORRIBLE!…read more We bought an older house and after these past few months of rain, we noted some leaks coming from the ceiling. The roof was within the five year warranty period (according to the house/disclosure documents) so we called up international roofing which was listed as the company who did the original job. I've had two distinct encounters with international roofing so far and i will retell them in detail: 1) this past August after the a week straight of heavy rain, we noted a leak in our extension. I called international roofing and requested an assessment. At first, they took my information and said they would call and schedule one as soon as they can, but after two days of not hearing from them I called them again. I was met with the same promise so after another day of no response, I called again and only after calling the office several times in a span of 48 hours was I able to get Ariel, the owner to come assess the house. When he arrived he informed me that the area where the leak was was not part of their original repair and did not fall under the warranty. Fair enough, so I requested a quote (which he gave verbally) and I agreed. He said he would return another time to fix the area. Fast forward one week later, No follow up or call from either the owner or the office. I called the office again who seemed to not remember my case, so I explained my story and told them I wanted to proceed with the repairs, and they requested that I email them a formal request. I went ahead and did that and one week later still no response. I was finally fed up so my husband decided to buy a temporary sealant for a temporary repair and we went with another company for the actual fix 2) my second experience with international roofing was just this past week. Again, after days of heavy rain we noted two other leaks...this time it was under the area that WAS done by international roofing and is within the warranty...so I sucked it up (even if I didn't want to) and called the company again. I spoke with a pleasant lady on Monday who told me that the owner Ariel was on big island and would call me back the next day (Tuesday). By Wednesday, still no phone call, so I called the office again and was informed that Ariel would get back to me. No explanation or anything and like a fool I continued to wait. It is now Friday (granted it was thanksgiving on Thursday) and still no email or call or explanation. This is probably the worst customer service I've experienced from a TERRIBLY unprofessional company. At this point I am so frustrated that I don't care if it's within the warranty or not as I'll probably call another company for the actual repairs. International roofing's lack of response is rude, unprofessional and plain disrespectful of its customers. I can understand if they are busy or inundated with requests, but I didn't even get that explanation. I got NOTHING from this company! Take your business elsewhere.

Jherard worked with the insurance adjuster since I had no idea how to handle that aspect, and kept me informed of the progress. Speaking of communication, he was reachable by phone/text at all hours of the day, not just during "business" hours. Absolutely recommend him and his company to others needing roofing and related repairs.

We had a little bit of miscommunication, but once that was cleared up BJ came out quickly to inspect and come up with a plan to fix the issue. So despite a couple hiccups, I appreciate that they're working hard so my home stays dry and protected and I'm pleased with their service.

I asked if he could come lay down an emergency tarp and he simply stated he would be at my house in 45 min. 15 min later Kevin rang my doorbell and immediately jumped onto the roof to start bolting down the mitigation in the middle of the chaos. He even came back for free to help make adjustments the following day to better address the affected areas. After the storm I had them replace my entire downstairs and upstairs roof and they did an excellent job. Any concerns we brought up were addressed thoughtfully and immediately. My experience with all around roofing was phenomenal. My take prior to dealing with Ohana was that all of these companies all very similar other than who has a GC license and who doesn't but I've been sadly mistaken. Speed, timing, responsibility and reliability is everything and makes the world of difference when it comes to not only operations but for the affected Units. Called and spoke with Shen he came over the next day and gave a reasonable quote. What made us choose them was the professional manner and knowledge. Shen was always there to answer questions and ensure we were happy. The workers were very kind and skilled. James the owner was amazing and he understood right away what concerns we had. The whole process was smooth and let's say I'm enjoying my kitchen even more! They removed the window and secured the outside and inside, they put up our beautiful glass blue tiles. This was done during the whole Kona storms and we had an issue with getting our hood (it was on one of the ships that was put out to sea due to the storm but once it came to port I went to pick it up and called Shen, they came a few days later and magic! Final walk through was great and truly our family is so happy with everything from day 1 to the final day! Highly recommend they are super professional from their electrician, tile worker, countertop installation workers and everyone was great! I was looking for a construction company on Yelp and found LG constructtion. It had good reviews…read moreso my sister and i set up an appt. with Shen. He was easy to work with and explained all the work that needed to be done. I was hesittant at first because of the cost, but my friend who was having her place remodelled in California said that it was an appropriate bid. Well, when we saw the final result, it looked like a new townhouse. Shen was very helpful picking out the colors and appropriate fixtures. I would definitely recomment LG construction for your remodelling and give it a 5 star/excellent rating. To top things off, he finished the work ahead of schedule and this is my honest opinion.
