My wife and I went to Sunset Beach's newest restaurant last night and we were blown away! Arguably the best restaurant in the area and that's saying something as we have several restaurants nearby that we love. Oak and Palm is a real gem "under the bridge". We started with the coconut shrimp at the suggestion of our server, Kim, who was suburb. My wife ordered the Ramen and I got the ribeye. Both dishes were outstanding! The restaurant was bustling but it appeared everyone was being taken care of well. Can't recommend this restaurant highly enough! Outstanding. read more

We had a lunch event planned with 60 ladies. Dan and Daniel, as well as all the servers, were wonderful to work with. The food portions were generous and delicious. We had a room that overlooked the water which gave it a great ambiance. read more

7 friends had a birthday dinner last night at Oak and Palm. Our server Derek was phenomenal. Very knowledgeable and attentive. The food was fantastic. We had ribeye, Korean short rib, Sunset style Blackened grouper, Miso sea bass. Everyone loved it. Specialty cocktails were on point with a large selection. I so want to love oak and palm- but food quality is still inconsistent. We arrived last night at 8 pm. After hearing about how Italian chefs have been brought in to train the chefs here we were excited to try the special spinach linguini with oysters. It was served to us - the pasta was lukewarm like it had been cooked an hour ago and the blanched in hot water- the oysters were hard and tasteless , no evident sauce on the pasta and the toast points were blackened. I'm just shocked that a chef would send out a plate looking like that!!! I took one bite and sent it back. Please- train your chefs that quality matters. We are a town full of transplants from the north ( and south) so we know good food. Don't treat us as fools or your doors will not be open much longer. I will go again for dinner, because I want to support, but you need to get better!! read more

Sat at bar for dinner which we like to do, Ciera and Logan provided excellent service and conversation! Wine choices were great I am fussy about my SB! Coconut Shrimp was delicious I had Korean Short Rib entree fall off the bone juicy could have been more veggies, my husband had Chicken Fettuccini I think he might have licked the plate (kidding) but the best Coconut Layer Cake I have ever eaten, sometimes cake is dry...not here..portion was huge enough for 2! We had dinner here and It was exquisite! The service was the best, they work as a team. Our waitress had a table of 20 and we initially were concerned but she was amazing along with her team. The food was outstanding and everyone looked very happy dining here. read more

I heard good things about this newly opened restaurant from some friends in our community. So my husband & I went there for an early Sunday dinner last Sunday, 11/16. We were pleasantly surprised with the newly redecorated interior... very stylish & welcoming! Frank, our server, was very courier & attentive. We each ordered a small plate as our entree: mine was Coconut shrimp with palm slaw & his was Korean ribs with pickled veggies. Each was delicious & the portions were great. I also got an order of Parmesan Risotto. The large windows overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway gave us a beautiful view of boaters passing by. We'll definitely be returning here to dine! read more

This is a wonderful new restaurant right on the water. The bartenders and staff are awesome. The food was prepared perfect. My only concern is that the dinning room is light up like a nursing home cafeteria. It really takes away from the overall impact of the excellent service and food. Please put a dimmer on the lights so customers can enjoy all you have to offer. Thanks so much! read more

My wife and I ate here tonight. The interior has been totally done over and looks great! The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. My wife had the salmon and she said it was delicious. I had the special which was Korean Short Rib over rice. Delicious!! Both meals were a good amount of food. Our waitress was very good and made the evening and meal enjoyable. The only negative is that I think the prices are a bit high. Most of the menu was $30 and above. read more

Needs much improvement. Pluses are; good menu, okay service, some nice views of the Intracoastal Waterway. Negatives: horribly noisy (barely able to carry on a conversation), main course arrived very late after ordering (barely warm), uncomfortable chairs, downstairs bar seating crowded together. Would only return on occasions when not crowded. Very doubtful it will make it unless noise reduction modifications are put in place. read more
