Food is always wonderful. The service is great too. They never rush you and you always have time to enjoy. Definitely a must try.

Being from New York, I often find it difficult to find good Italian food in the south. This spot knocked my socks off though, what a pleasant surprise! The restaurant is tucked away in an unassuming strip mall by Food Lion. The bread was so fresh and tasty, we greatly enjoyed it. Drinks were good, service was attentive and our meals were yummy. All around a wonderful experience. This is a popular spot too....Our first visit was in January 2024, we tried to come back on a Friday night in March, but unfortunately the only reservations available were for 8 pm. I'd recommend making a reservation a day or two in advance, as this is a popular spot to dine. Highly recommend this eatery!

Small little joint, fantastic food for our party of 10. Everything was spot on!! From stuffed shells w/bolognese, scallops & shrimp, chicken piccata, chicken marsala, veal dishes, the bread was hot/fresh on table as seated, nice bourbon selection & vino as well Service was over the top with Ryan, he was very personable & witty. He memorized 10 different orders w/everyone's tweaks and needs. Amazing carries out an arm's length of entry's & places each in front of the correct person.... What a gem of an establishment... Scratch made & legit, see you next time!

Make a reservation! This is a smaller restaurant but worth it. When you walk in you immediately can smell the delicious food and know it will be good. The bread is garlicky and hot and soo good (get more). Everything came out pretty quickly and hot. I had the scallops and shrimp in champagne sauce and it was delicious it is my go to meal! My niece had the chicken piccatta and ate every bite. If you love italian you must try this unassuming restaurant! You will keep coming back for sure.

My Valentine drove us from Myrtle Beach to NC just for a dinner date here. The restaurant inside is small but inviting and well decorated. There were many locals there that night who seemed to be regulars and even suggested certain things on the menu before our waiter came. They were all raving about the bread and they were absolutely right. This has to be the best starter bread I've ever had at a restaurant. They do not serve it with with oil/balsamic vinegar like most Italian places do, but I was not complaining. The top of the bread is very well seasoned, not at all bland, and there is fresh oil being absorbed through the top of the bread. It was so good we ended having three whole loaves. For our appetizer we shared the fried raviolis. Each serving comes with five pieces and fresh marinara sauce. Filling was nice and creamy, pasta had a nice crunch and was well seasoned. The sauce is great too and we dipped some of the bread in it as well. I ended up ordering the veal saltimbocca and my partner ordered the chicken alfredo. This is THE BEST v.s. I have had thus far compared to other high Italian restaurants I've had the same dish at. It was absolutely delicious all the components worked so well together. When a place gets flavor even down to the mushrooms I know the dish is a winner. The veal was thin, crispy, seasoned, and you're given an extremely generous portion. Most v.s. are served with angel hair to soak up more of the sauce, this location uses fettuccine which still holds up the sauce and has a thicker, chewier bite that works very well with the meat and vegetables accompanying it. The waiter also shreds all the fresh parmesan you would desire. We were too full for dessert but we will definitely be visiting again soon to try more offerings. I highly recommend you visit this restaurant as soon as you can!

Early dinner with friends and family!

There are several reasons you should make La Cucina Italian Grill your go to choice for date nights. 1. Personalized service from cordial, efficient, and caring servers like Ryan and crew. 2. Flavorful in house handmade dishes, starting with italian bread, italian sausage, and so many other freshly made choices. 3. Small bustling, intimate, atmosphere. I recommend reservations when you can.

My friend ordered the lobster & shrimp special served over pasta. It was good, but again - nothing that made it jump out as amazing. Overall the meals were good and affordable. Not sure this would be on our "must return" list of Italian restaurants. Many others in the area that are more authentic.

I have eaten at Roberto's probably three dozen times. This past Friday we did again, with a smaller party of six. The two that had chicken picatta were over the moon. I had a salmon "Mediterranean" that I couldn't tell was salmon. Overcooked with no color to the fish at all. The flavors were great. (I had the same dish at 584 in Burlington three nights later, but it was definitely salmon.) The continuing issue at Roberto's is service. Our server was spread out over both ends of the restaurant, and I think everyone took the hit, including the server. The floor manager needs to rethink the floor plan. Stuff that should be basic (grated cheese for pasta?) was not given until I went to the desk and asked for some. The Bar: a continuing and inexcusable problem. WHY is there a single bartender for both bar and table service? We were asked for our dinner orders while we were waiting for our drinks!, which were ordered when the menus dropped. C'mon! It's supposed to be a flowing process, and this has ALWAYS been a problem. (Waiting for a glass of wine for 10 minutes?). Overall : the Chef (always visible) clearly has enthusiasm for his menu, and it is good! But this restaurant should be better.

Our server was... well, I'm not sure how to put it, let's just say he didn't seem to be present at work that day, but we roll with punches around here, and we ordered our food. I absolutely loved the teriyaki wings. They were cooked perfectly. The sauce was great, and my only critique would be the blue cheese, which was not the same quality as the wings themselves. The bread service was terrible. I am not exactly sure what kind of bread that was supposed to be, but it was improperly cooked and tasted very bitter. We were able to jazz it up with some olive oil and balsamic vinegar that was left on the table. I ordered the margarita pizza and was excited because of all the buzz around the pizza at Maria's. It was fine. It just wasn't the quality of pizza I was looking for. The sauce was fresh and had a great tomato flavor, but lacked any sort of spice of any kind. The crust was decent. It was probably the best part of the pizza. That cheese was a good flavor, but one bite and the whole cheese was coming off with the pizza into your mouth. The tomatoes were cut a little too thick so they didn't get quite cooked well enough on top of the pie. My friends marsala also lacked in flavor. The sauce was missing that delicious wine element and it was kind of on the bitter side. It wants to be marsala, but it's not. I have to give extra credits to the manager who came around and talked to us and took our critiques seriously. One thing we did forget to mention was that their booths are like sitting on the gym bleachers in high school and for any extended period of time they can become increasingly uncomfortable. I could see maybe how some people enjoyed Maria's, it just wasn't for us, so keep an open mind. Maybe Maria's is for you and maybe it's not but you have to give them a try to find out.

My mom and sister and I visited from Charleston and planned a trip to Little River specifically to have dinner at The Brentwood and take their ghost tour. The entire evening though was one disappointment after another: from the food to the service to the "ghost tour". Dinner was chaotic before it even began. The menu was changed multiple times by head cook Steve...first the chicken was unavailable, then it was duck, then suddenly chicken Marsala, then back to chicken Caprese. My sister and I went with the chicken caprese and our mom the short ribs. When we finally did get our meals, the chicken dish looked NOTHING like what was described and it was NOT good. It was almost like they just took whatever extra ingredients they had in the kitchen and threw it together to make some type of a chicken pasta dish. They were literally giving away additional plates of it to the other diners during the ghost tour experience for free. My sister and I both left our plates mostly untouched, and our server Lorena didn't ask a single question about why two entrées went back almost full. For the price, it was disappointing to leave hungry. Dessert didn't help either...no one around us finished theirs. And then there was the ghost tour. To call it a "tour" is generous...and it was somehow even worse than dinner. It started with reality TV clips from different ghost hunting show that we could've watched online for free. After that, our guide Steve (yes, the same person who cooked our dinner) led us on what was maybe a 15-minute walk while repeating the same stories multple times he'd already told us earlier in the evening. He seemed extremely disheveled and under the influence of something. His Levi's boxers were literally hanging out of his jeans the entire time. It was unprofessional and uncomfortable. When the "tour" ended, we didn't even bother sticking around to explore the historic property. We were over it. We ended up talking with another couple who had driven in (like us) to celebrate their anniversary, and they were just as disappointed and confused by the whole experience as we were. I absolutely would not recommend this restaurant or the ghost tour to anyone in its current state.
