My sister and brother-in-law were there, as was my cousin Buddy, father of Henri and Bill. OK, enough name-dropping. I'll talk about the venue itself--I really will--but I have to focus on parking, because it's an utter joke. We knew we would be late because of when we left, but we did arrive at the parking lot in time to see at least part of the opening act--or we would have, if the place's parking lot hadn't been tiny. The attendant told us to make a left and right and then turn right on the first street and look for parking there. If there wasn't any, we were to proceed to the following street, in front of the Jack in the Box, and if there was no parking there, we could probably (!) park in the Jack in the Box parking lot without getting a ticket (!!). I followed his directions to a tee, and there were no spaces on either street in indicated, and I wasn't about to get my car towed two days before I had to drive it back to San Francisco. This part of Santa Ana is all commercial and industrial businesses in strip malls with parking lots, but for some reason, there's no street parking. I would understand a no-overnight-parking restriction to prevent people from living in their vehicles, but what purpose does the current restriction serve? None, other than to frustrate would-be spenders of sales tax in Santa Ana--stupid policy. Anyway, we spent the next twenty minutes driving up and down similarly long blocks, hoping for some legal parking. Then my brother-in-law saved the day by calling us and telling us to go to the Jack in the Box parking lot and look for the guy in the safety vest. We did so, and after we paid him $20, he directed us to one of those empty business parking lots. And we still had to walk like a half-mile to the venue. The Constellation Room is part of the Observatory, which was also hosting another band in a separate room at the same time. That explains the lack of parking, but why exactly is a venue booking more bands than it has parking for? Why don't they proactively reach out to their neighbor businesses and pay them (or have us pay them) to use their empty parking lots? It makes no sense. The Observatory looks pretty cool, but we only walked through it into the Constellation Room, which also looks very neat with the lights on. When we arrived, Buddy was right next to the door, and my sister was talking to Henri's girlfriend, who was manning the merch table in the back. I walked toward my sister and proceeded to fall flat on my stomach (I broke my fall with my hands, so I didn't hit my head). There's a single large step to get up onto the platform where the table is set up, but I couldn't see it even with the lights on, and there's no handrail. I didn't care at the time besides being embarrassed, but the following week, I had a some excruciatingly painful case of sciatica that lasted almost five days, and I'm still taking steroids for it. I don't know whether that fall caused the sciatica to flare up, but it couldn't have helped, and it's the only weird jarring-type of thing that I experienced a few days beforehand. The show itself was amazing. The sound quality is really good. I'm sure it helped that I was standing against the back wall. I think they allowed in more people than the official capacity, but I didn't have to worry about crowd churn where I was standing. It's always worth it to see and support my cousins, but this venue needs some serious nuts-and-bolts work. Parking is zero stars. Get more; don't encourage people to park illegally. Maybe spend less time on the glow tape and other nice details on the venue's interior signs and ripoff-price-drink menus and add some glow tape to the edge of that single stair. For the majority of the concert, the room was a sold four-and-a-half stars.

With the parking traffic, we just made ot to our seats as the concert started (start time 830pm, started at 845pm). When there was a short break just after 930pm, we decided to get drinks (Espresso Martinis) but found everything shut down! Very surprised as were many other patrons looking for snacks and drinks. Many Yelp comments stated you could bring in your own food and drinks but the venue's website states outside food and beverages are prohibited. Then the concert ended promptly at 10pm. Not sure if other concerts offered here start earlier? We heard that concerts had to end by 10pm at this Venue. The tickets were inexpensive in comparison to other venues. Fun venue and would go again.

Went to the OC Fair to watch a concert at the Hangar. The Bee Gee cover band was playing. Great…read moreshow! The Hangar acoustics was good. I can hear the concert wherever I am stationed. They also televise the concert on two big screens. One inside and one outside. Pretty much it is a free concert for people to enjoy. Hangar usually has great cover band lineup. You cannot go wrong with this place. If you purchase a concert ticket, admission to the fair is free. That is a deal you cannot beat. Inside seating and outdoor standing is available. If it wasn't for the Hangar, the OC fair would be very boring. Aside from the Pacific Amphitheater. I come back every year. Sales of adult beverages is surrounding this place.

Wow, what an honor for me to be the 2nd person to write a review on this indoor venue…read more After 16 years of being in the spotlight, I am so surprised that first off, The Hangar has a Yelp page, and even more surprised that no one has done a review on this simple, practical, lovely venue for concerts. While we were at the OC Fair, my son purchased a single ticket just for me to go and see Breakdown, the Tom Petty tribute band. It was purchased a week before the show. They were doing a special tribute for all of his greatest songs/hits that he had throughout the years. My ticket was $30. Show started exactly at 8:15pm. I had a great seat. Section 102, Row M, Seat 17. When I got there, I couldn't find my seat. Asked one of the ushers over there to show me my seat and he had a better suggestion by telling me to sit more closer to the stage. Smart usher, so I took up on his offer. They had one of those metal folding chairs. Place was super crowded, but in a very good way. No one was in your face and the venue had almost 700 people, if not more. The energy in the venue was electrifying, magical and magnetic. I have been a fan of Tom Petty for the past 25 years when one of my neighbors would blast his music everyday on repeat.. They allow you to bring in alcohol, (beer & wine), and snacks. The sound system of the venue was spectacular, it was just perfect! Not too loud. And had 2 large TVs by the sides of the stage. Place was very clean, so were both restrooms, and the show lasted for almost 2 hours. People were even dancing by the stage. 4 security guards were close to the stage so they can protect everyone. Especially the crazy fans. May Tom Petty (RIP) and all we have now is his photos, memorabilia, CDs DVDs, and memories.. What a legend he was... Classical music is something that I grew up with and still enjoy listening to until now. I can name a lot of my favorite composers from back in early 16, 17, 18 hundreds but I'd rather not. I listen to symphony/classical music with a different ear. It is always relaxing, soothing, and calming. Also, let me not forget to mention that I grew up playing the piano very well. That also has something to do with it. The Renée & Henry Segerstrom Hall is the newest addition to the Segerstrom Center for the Arts campus, opening in 2006. I have been to this place 5 times in my life. Each time that I have gone there has been a beautiful experience, top notch, in every way. Great location with so many dining options within walking distance & the Pacific Symphony are glorious, glamorous and amazing to listen to. This hall is GORGEOUS, BEAUTIFUL, & EXTRAORDINARY! It has 4 levels and no matter where you sit, you can see and hear the performance very clearly. The sound system is FANTASTIC!! I have seen/heard Itzhak Perlman, Scandinavian dance performance, couple of Jazz artists like Berry Perkins Bobby Rush, and few others.. On February 7th, a friend of mine invited me to the event "St.Clair Conducts Beethoven & Don Quixote". Tickets started at $33 and up. Our tickets were $108.00 each. I know, pretty steep, but, totally worth it. We were sitting in the orchestra level row U, seats 10 & 11. I can go on and on and on about this wonderful venue, the architecture of the building, but my fingers are now tired, so I will conclude my review by saying that staff are very professional, helpful, ushers will direct/escort you to your seats, parking is $20 and the rest I am leaving it to your own imagination. Pristine, super clean restrooms. Lights off, and enjoy the program:-)!! I wish this place was close to my city/home.

We have also been there for seated dinner style events with Chef's and it has been amazing as well. Last night my Mom and I attended the 40th anniversary screening of the movie Clue and it was amazing! There were rows of seats and I felt we had a good amount of leg room and the seats were not the most comfortable but they worked well for the amount of time we were seated. It was so much fun, the audience was involved and we had a Q&A beforehand which was neat to learn some background of the movie. The venue has plenty of seating out in the happy hour area where you can grab a drink and snacks. Prices were reasonable, popcorn, pretzels, movie snacks, as well as more sufficient foods like pizza, flatbreads, and burgers. Parking is fairly easy in and out. We were coming in just as Angel Stadium was getting out (and it was packed Angel's vs. Dodgers) but entry was still seemless. Great venue, awesome people, and an overall amazing event last night!!!

The lobby was very clean and shiny, and the restrooms were large and clean. The theatre's interior was very beautiful and comfortable. Every comfortable seat in the theatre offers a perfect view of the stage, and the sound system was perfect. The employees were all very friendly and professional, and they assisted anyone and everyone who needed help. Though the music was a tad different from what we are used to on the radio, the performers worked hard and did a GREAT job of keeping the audience engaged and entertained.

Traffic to enter the venue was ugly and slow due to other venue events that were ending as we were entering. I take partial blame for not realizing that Great Park Irvine sent both a text and email to me approx. 7 hours before showtime to advise me of parking and traffic issues that I would encounter. Once we entered, we were both pleasantly surprised that the varied foods and drinks available for purchase. Finding our seats was somewhat aggravating. When I purchased our tickets on-line, it provided the section row and seat numbers. But at this concert, the signage for sections was not very prominent. We had to ask several Symphony volunteers where our section was. We finally stumbled onto the section but where the hell was row 03310??? Turns out that row was more like a table number, with 4 chairs and no seat numbers. Unsure if we had reached the right seating area, we asked some very nice folks sitting at the table next to us if we were in the right location. Yes! we were. My wife and I were quite impressed with the seating that we got for $70 each. We were seated at a round table with a tablecloth on it. The folding chairs we sat on were very comfortable as well. This seating arrangement was very nice for watching a concert in style. Just wish we were hungry, I saw a stand selling charcuterie boards and that would have made the evening that more special for us. After the concert, we waited several minutes for the majority nof the crowd to leave the parking lot. Overall, we really like attending the Pacific Symphony's Outdoor Summer Concert at Great Park Live. Knowing what we learned that night, we can now better plan our next evening concert there.

They allow small clutches or up to a 12x13 clear bag. Our first visit on July 4th was super busy and parking took a while because there were roads closed off, however yesterday's Star Wars concert was really easy to get into with no wait at all for parking. It's very easy to get into the venue and there were ushers showing us to our seats. The VIP section and forward middle areas were all circular tables with chairs so you can eat and drink comfortably while watching the performance. The other seats are foldout style seats in rows with cup holders. The chairs in some areas had little platforms to put your snacks. There are vendors that sell all kinds of food and drink at premium prices but that's expected at these events. There are large screens to view different camera angles of the concert if you are further back and don't have a full clear view of the stage. The sound quality was excellent and the performance was spectacular.
