The host was friendly and welcoming, but unfortunately the service went downhill from there. Our server didn't seem very interested in being there and wasn't particularly attentive. It took about 30 minutes for our food to arrive, and when it finally did, I had to ask for utensils. She never checked on our table, offered drink refills, or asked how everything was. The only time she came back was to drop off the check. As for the food, it was average at best. Nothing really stood out, and some of the potatoes and bell peppers were burnt. While it wasn't terrible, it definitely wasn't worth the wait. And yes, I finished my food despite not loving it, food is expensive these days, and I'm not about to let it go to waste. Overall, not the experience I was hoping for, and I don't see myself rushing back.

I went here for Sunday brunch to celebrate my aunt's birthday. We had a larger group of 12 and called ahead but they said they did not do reservations. I arrived a bit earlier than the crew and we were graciously seated in the private back room by the owner, I presume, which had a view and private entrance onto the patio. There was one large table that fit our entire group and also a smaller table on the side which my kids dubbed the kid's table and didn't allow the adults to sit at. Their menu was quite large with lots of options to please everyone. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and pancakes and waffles "to share" with the table, but really for me to not look like a big back! There was a kid's menu as well and my girls devoured their chicken tenders and fries and their Jr. breakfast plate. Food was very good and this could have been a 5 star review, however I think we were forgotten about by the staff since we were in the back room. Out of sight out of mind I guess! It already started badly when the server brought out most of the drinks but not the mimosas that were ordered. Understandable if the drinks were poured at the bar instead. But 20 min later, the server came back and said they were out of the guava juice and asked us to pick a different flavor. Then I didn't get my mimosa for another 15 after that! Also, we waited about 45-60 minutes for our food to come out and it came out sporadically with no rhyme or reason. Not in the order it was ordered, even the same dish for two people sitting side by side came out at 10 min apart. The bummer was one person ordered an eggs Benedict with no onions, which was the last plate to come out after an hour, and there were onions in his side of potatoes. It was way too late by then to wait for a new one to be made and truly disappointing. Unfortunately the service was lacking that day and the owner avoided eye contact and ignored me when I said good bye and thank you as I was leaving. Which was quite different from how friendly he was before. I could really love this place if the service, on a busy Sunday brunch, was improved.

The ambience is perfect for lunch, brunch, and anytime they're open! Cozy seats, and a lovely seating area outside when it warms up. The food was absolutely delicious with so many options and fresh squeezed orange juice. The service was amazing and fast. I had a wonderful brunch here the other day and was pleasantly surprised. I will definitely try this place again!

One of my favorite spots to go to! The food quality is great and they have the most delicious and unique alcoholic drinks that everybody needs to try! The view is amazing and their customer service is 10/10. Highly recommend.

The breakfast was phenomenal! Arnoldo took very good care of me and the environment was great. It is spotless in there, which is very important to me.

This was our first time and the menu is what intrigued us. They have a vast menu for breakfast and lunch with many versatile options. When we arrived, we were greeted, sat and attended to right away. The ambience is very nice. It's family friendly. They have nice windows looking out to the pond. They even have a separate party room for seating up to 20 for a private event. When our food arrived it sealed the deal. I ordered the Monterey Chicken Sandwich and fries (see photo). The presentation was great. The flavors were delicious and the fries... oh my goodness they were so good! My husband ordered the Cobb Salad with Grilled Chicken and a side of Sweet Potato Fries. Everything was delicious. The food was fresh and well worth the cost. The prices are pretty reasonable. I am already looking forward to our next visit! We'll be back soon!

We had breakfast here. We had omelettes they were great. They also have a large selection of crapes and next time I will try one. The service was quick and friendly. It over looks a small pond that makes it a very relaxing place to enjoy the meal and embrace the country surroundings.

Not many places are open on Xmas Eve, but the Oak Leaf Cafe is! I asked my family to rate their dishes so let's get to it! I'll start with mine, the pro fit avocado toast. (Egg whites, applewood sausage and avocado topped with micro greens and a side of hashbrowns. 4/10: Unfortunately there wasn't any flavor whatsoever. I added a bunch of Cholula and Tabasco to get some flavor- and I never use hot sauces. The portion of hash browns was quite small. What I loved was the amount of egg whites and sausage. My sister in law even commented "it was the tallest avocado toast she's seen". The ultimate omelette 10/10: very good fillings to egg ratio. It's wasn't mostly egg like some omelettes are. Crab Benedict 8/10. California Benedict (w/o avocado) 8/10. Artichoke omelette 9/10, would have been a 10 but again the hash brown portion was quite small. Our waitress was very nice and attentive, always checking in on our drinks for refills. Inside is nice and clean, modern/chic and they were playing Christmas music.

Who doesn't love the idea of a speakeasy?? We decided to head to Roseville in pursuit of a secret place. We found the secret door, knocked, and a young man answered. He asked for the password. Unfortunately I am not on social media and that's where you're supposed to find it. Bummer! I decided to use my own password. It worked and we entered the inner sanctum. It was a cool, smallish place with nice decor. The bar was the first thing we saw. I looked around to see a few tables and couches to the left. It was pretty early and there were only a few people there so we got a cozy little table in front of a velvety couch. I went to the bar where a burly tattooed OG bartender greeted me. I ordered an old fashioned and a raspberry lemon drop. My old fashioned was done very well. I'm on an old fashioned kick right now and love to try them at different places that look like they know how to make them. This one was really good. My friend wasn't so keen on her lemon drop, saying the lavender was a bit overpowering. We had another round and this time she had something different that she enjoyed. My second old fashioned was just as good as the first. It was getting later and more people happened to have the password and it was getting crowded. We were done, paid the tab, which wasn't bad considering how most speakeasy's can be pretty pricy. Overall, it was a great experience, the place was nice, friendly, and the drinks were done well. You can imagine my happiness when I stumbled upon this bar/gaming room with the funny German sounding name when I realized it was a glorified pinball arcade room that also served beer. This place is straight amazing-50+ of the greatest pinball machines are available to play. They do use the "game-card" system to pay for these games, which can make playing these games way too easy-games tend to cost about $1 a game in game credits to play, which is far more than I paid when I was an 8 year old kid but then again, that was 45 years ago. They have a pretty solid beer selection-beers tend to go for anywhere between $7-$8 a beer-not too bad in my opinion.Though they do offer a pretty unique item called "Das Boot" which is a pretty large boot that cost $40 and comes with a fill up at time of purchase and 20% off on future fill ups-though not sure what the original cost of a fill up is exactly. One massive upgrade I've learned in the pinball world is nowadays you can download an app by Stern Inc,the majority manufacturer of most of the popular pinball machines and you can register your pinball play and it will keep tabs of everywhere u play and all the scores u achieved on the various pinball machines-I really enjoyed this feature-I only wish they had this when I was in my prime of pinball play when I was a youth. This place doesn't have the best hours but I'm sure there is a reason for these hours-M-F the hours are 5p-10p and on weekends they open at 12p... That was exactly what happened after my first visit here. Those meatballs lived rent-free in my brain, so coming back was an easy call. Earlier in the day we took a nice walk around Folsom Lake with some friends. Fresh air, good conversation, and by the time we wrapped up everyone had that universal look of "okay... where are we eating?" As we drove back and passed Dominick's it was one of those moments where the decision basically made itself. I was like yep... this is happening. Pulling up I noticed the line was out the door, which honestly is the Italian restaurant version of a five-star Yelp wink. A line like that usually means something good is happening inside. The place itself has a great vibe and you can tell people genuinely love this spot. While waiting I looked around the shop area and noticed they have wines available for purchase. One bottle caught my eye immediately... a 100-point rated wine. For anyone who knows wine, that's basically the culinary equivalent of a mic drop. A perfect score from top critics is rare air. Naturally I did what any responsible food lover would do... I snagged it. A 2020 Super Tuscan that felt like finding hidden treasure on a shelf. The young lady behind the counter was an absolute delight. Super friendly, welcoming, and she even laughed at one of my dad jokes... which means either it was actually funny or she deserves an Oscar. Either way, great hospitality all around. The food came out and the table looked like a proper Italian feast. We had the meatballs, calzones, a chicken panini, and the coleslaw salad. My friends were loving everything. Plates were disappearing fast which is always a good sign. Now for the moment I had been waiting for... the meatballs. They were still good, but they didn't quite pop the way they did in my memory. You know that nostalgic flavor that takes you right back to the first bite you ever had? That lightning bolt moment? I was hoping for that same flavor encore. This time it felt more like the band playing an acoustic version of the hit song. Still enjoyable... just missing a little of that original fireworks. But hey, every great restaurant gets an off day, and honestly the overall experience was still a great stop. Good food, great hospitality, and a place that clearly has a loyal following. And those meatballs? I'm confident they'll make their comeback tour. When they do... best believe I'll be back for the encore.
