I tried this spot this weekend for breakfast and it was great. It's a huge restaurant, with a big room in the back plus outdoor seating on the patio. The weather was a little chilly so we sat inside at a little table by the window with a nice pond view. The menu has so many choices! Different avocado toasts, savory and sweet breakfast too. Plus a lot of lunch/dinner options. I just went with the basic eggs and bacon and my friend got the classic eggs Benedict. We both subbed potatoes for fruit and it was a great bowl with berries and pineapple. My poached eggs were perfect as was my bacon, and the sourdough toast was yummy. My friend enjoyed her Benedict as well. Service was friendly and not rushed. It's a great spot at Quarry Ponds with lots of parking. Definitely recommended! read more

My boyfriend, daughter, son in law brought me here for brunch. We always try to patronize different brunch restaurants. The place is nice we sat outside. This is the only good thing about this place. 1. The service was terrible from the time we sat down until we left. 2. The only person who enjoyed their food was my boyfriend he order the county skillet, however, he asked the waitress to bring ketchup and hot sauce before and after she brought his meal well she never brought it another waiter did. 3. My daughter, son-in-law and myself order the French toast, which was supposed to be made out of sourdough when they brought it out literally they toasted the sourdough and sprinkle powered sugar over it, we sent it back both me and my daughter ordered pancake instead they brought her two and me one. Then the waitress finally brought out the 2nd pancake and boxed it up. My son-in-law had his meal taken off the check. My son-in-law ask to speak to the manager, it took the manager 15mins to come over to see what my son-in-law wanted to discuss very bad service we will not be patronizing this place again. read more

Better than average place for breakfast and brunch. Clean, well-organized, with good service. They do brunch well with a variety of tasty options. Never had a bad meal here. The staff working there were incredibly friendly and provided great customer service throughout our visit.The food itself was okay, and if we return, we will probably try different menu options. My husband ordered the corned beef hash, but it surprisingly did not come with hash browns--and there was no option to add them--so he got it with potatoes instead, which worked out fine. We were in Granite Bay and looking for a brunch place and glad we found this out. I had the vegetable eggs Benedict and my husband had the omelette and both were very good. The host was friendly and welcoming, but unfortunately the service went downhill from there. Our server didn't seem very interested in being there and wasn't particularly attentive. It took about 30 minutes for our food to arrive, and when it finally did, I had to ask for utensils. She never checked on our table, offered drink refills, or asked how everything was. The only time she came back was to drop off the check. As for the food, it was average at best. Nothing really stood out, and some of the potatoes and bell peppers were burnt. While it wasn't terrible, it definitely wasn't worth the wait. And yes, I finished my food despite not loving it, food is expensive these days, and I'm not about to let it go to waste. I went here for Sunday brunch to celebrate my aunt's birthday. We had a larger group of 12 and called ahead but they said they did not do reservations. I arrived a bit earlier than the crew and we were graciously seated in the private back room by the owner, I presume, which had a view and private entrance onto the patio. There was one large table that fit our entire group and also a smaller table on the side which my kids dubbed the kid's table and didn't allow the adults to sit at. Their menu was quite large with lots of options to please everyone. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and pancakes and waffles "to share" with the table, but really for me to not look like a big back! There was a kid's menu as well and my girls devoured their chicken tenders and fries and their Jr. breakfast plate. Food was very good and this could have been a 5 star review, however I think we were forgotten about by the staff since we were in the back room. Out of sight out of mind I guess! It already started badly when the server brought out most of the drinks but not the mimosas that were ordered. Understandable if the drinks were poured at the bar instead. But 20 min later, the server came back and said they were out of the guava juice and asked us to pick a different flavor. Then I didn't get my mimosa for another 15 after that! Also, we waited about 45-60 minutes for our food to come out and it came out sporadically with no rhyme or reason. Not in the order it was ordered, even the same dish for two people sitting side by side came out at 10 min apart. The bummer was one person ordered an eggs Benedict with no onions, which was the last plate to come out after an hour, and there were onions in his side of potatoes. It was way too late by then to wait for a new one to be made and truly disappointing. Unfortunately the service was lacking that day and the owner avoided eye contact and ignored me when I said good bye and thank you as I was leaving. Which was quite different from how friendly he was before. I could really love this place if the service, on a busy Sunday brunch, was improved. read more

Looks smaller than it is when you walk in. The dining space really opens up in the back of the restaurant. The view is really pretty too! We had a large group (about 15 people) and they seated us in the back room by ourselves, which was fantastic because we also had 4 small children in our party and they were able to stretch their legs without interrupting other tables or parents having to forgo their meals so they could supervise the kids playing outside. Food came out quite quickly for us being a decent size group, and most of us really liked our plates! I'd say, out of a group our size, only 2 people were unimpressed (which is good odds) and they felt the place is worth another try with a different entree. Staff was friendly. Environment was calm, clean, and inviting. Overall this was a win and I'm sure we'll be back in the near future. :) read more

She literally slams the menus on the table. Risqué clothing doesn't bother me but the server is literally wearing hooter shorts. Every chair is filthy. We have to wipe them all off to sit. We sit there for about 10 minutes. No one ever comes to the table for waters, or to greet us after this point. The manager or owner is standing right there the whole time. We leave. He asks why we're leaving. We tell him no one came by our table, and he looks at us blankly and says nothing. We walk out. read more

We probably get take out from the GB location once per month. While I enjoy the food, it is overpriced. The service is horrendous (one waitress in particular). She is consistently rude, dismissive, and in no hurry to help customers. One time my husband picked up food and on the white board for all customers to see was "hustle for those tips. Cash money!" While I totally appreciate working for tips, it perhaps would be better to not put this statement for all to se. I hope she finds a job she enjoys more, because the service industry is not for her and I don't think we will be back after our most recent visit. read more

The ambience is very nice. It's family friendly. They have nice windows looking out to the pond. They even have a separate party room for seating up to 20 for a private event. When our food arrived it sealed the deal. I ordered the Monterey Chicken Sandwich and fries (see photo). The presentation was great. The flavors were delicious and the fries... oh my goodness they were so good! My husband ordered the Cobb Salad with Grilled Chicken and a side of Sweet Potato Fries. Everything was delicious. (Egg whites, applewood sausage and avocado topped with micro greens and a side of hashbrowns. 4/10: Unfortunately there wasn't any flavor whatsoever. I added a bunch of Cholula and Tabasco to get some flavor- and I never use hot sauces. The portion of hash browns was quite small. What I loved was the amount of egg whites and sausage. My sister in law even commented "it was the tallest avocado toast she's seen". The ultimate omelette 10/10: very good fillings to egg ratio. It's wasn't mostly egg like some omelettes are. Crab Benedict 8/10. California Benedict (w/o avocado) 8/10. Artichoke omelette 9/10, would have been a 10 but again the hash brown portion was quite small. Our waitress was very nice and attentive, always checking in on our drinks for refills. Inside is nice and clean, modern/chic and they were playing Christmas music. read more

Our friend chose this wonderful spot for lunch. She was a regular and we had not been in this area for quite some time, The location offered a nice view overlooking the pond and a pleasant place to talk and eat some good food. The two ladies had crab benedict and I had a meatloaf lunch. The two ladies took home half of their meal for later that nite. I consumed the meatloaf. This last time we ordered the different clubs, only 1 came with cheese and none of them came with the bacon. My bread was toasted and part of the crust was too hard to bite into. My wife and I are new to the area and we loved this place! The ambiance, employee vibes and value of the food was perfect! The interior is clean, modern with indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating in the back has a nice view of roses, plants, trees and the quarry. The employees all said hi and bye when coming in and leaving. It was nice to be acknowledged even when leaving. Our waiter conversed with us, was nice and thoughtful. We came for breakfast and there were so many options on the menu. The menu had very creative omelettes, skillets, French toasts and even sandwiches. They even have 3 eggs and a choice side of fruit on most breakfast choices which is rare. Oak Leaf Café is a true breakfast gem! I had their fluffy pancakes and they were incredible; light, airy, and full of flavor. Added the skillet and an omelette to our meal. The food overall was fresh and delicious, and the service couldn't have been better: friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. The cozy atmosphere made it the perfect spot to start our day. Came here for a last minute lunch date and it was beyond our expectations! We got the mozzarella sticks, French dip, and Serrano burger. Probably the best mozzarella sticks/marinara sauce I've had, the bread and meat on the French dip was so good but definitely needs some cheese or onions. Service was great and quick.
