My boyfriend, daughter, son in law brought me here for brunch. We always try to patronize different brunch restaurants. The place is nice we sat outside. This is the only good thing about this place. 1. The service was terrible from the time we sat down until we left. 2. The only person who enjoyed their food was my boyfriend he order the county skillet, however, he asked the waitress to bring ketchup and hot sauce before and after she brought his meal well she never brought it another waiter did. 3. My daughter, son-in-law and myself order the French toast, which was supposed to be made out of sourdough when they brought it out literally they toasted the sourdough and sprinkle powered sugar over it, we sent it back both me and my daughter ordered pancake instead they brought her two and me one. Then the waitress finally brought out the 2nd pancake and boxed it up. My son-in-law had his meal taken off the check. My son-in-law ask to speak to the manager, it took the manager 15mins to come over to see what my son-in-law wanted to discuss very bad service we will not be patronizing this place again. read more

Better than average place for breakfast and brunch. Clean, well-organized, with good service. They do brunch well with a variety of tasty options. Never had a bad meal here. Most recently had an omelette that was very good. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful with questions about allergens and dietary restrictions. read more

Looks smaller than it is when you walk in. The dining space really opens up in the back of the restaurant. The view is really pretty too! We had a large group (about 15 people) and they seated us in the back room by ourselves, which was fantastic because we also had 4 small children in our party and they were able to stretch their legs without interrupting other tables or parents having to forgo their meals so they could supervise the kids playing outside. Food came out quite quickly for us being a decent size group, and most of us really liked our plates! I'd say, out of a group our size, only 2 people were unimpressed (which is good odds) and they felt the place is worth another try with a different entree. Staff was friendly. Environment was calm, clean, and inviting. Overall this was a win and I'm sure we'll be back in the near future. :) read more

Stopped in this morning for a quick business meeting - I hadn't been here and what a hidden gem! This breakfast spot has a great menu and I fell in love with the coffee, eggs, bacon and potatoes! I went here for Sunday brunch to celebrate my aunt's birthday. We had a larger group of 12 and called ahead but they said they did not do reservations. I arrived a bit earlier than the crew and we were graciously seated in the private back room by the owner, I presume, which had a view and private entrance onto the patio. There was one large table that fit our entire group and also a smaller table on the side which my kids dubbed the kid's table and didn't allow the adults to sit at. Their menu was quite large with lots of options to please everyone. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and pancakes and waffles "to share" with the table, but really for me to not look like a big back! There was a kid's menu as well and my girls devoured their chicken tenders and fries and their Jr. breakfast plate. Food was very good and this could have been a 5 star review, however I think we were forgotten about by the staff since we were in the back room. Out of sight out of mind I guess! It already started badly when the server brought out most of the drinks but not the mimosas that were ordered. Understandable if the drinks were poured at the bar instead. But 20 min later, the server came back and said they were out of the guava juice and asked us to pick a different flavor. Then I didn't get my mimosa for another 15 after that! Also, we waited about 45-60 minutes for our food to come out and it came out sporadically with no rhyme or reason. Not in the order it was ordered, even the same dish for two people sitting side by side came out at 10 min apart. The bummer was one person ordered an eggs Benedict with no onions, which was the last plate to come out after an hour, and there were onions in his side of potatoes. It was way too late by then to wait for a new one to be made and truly disappointing. Unfortunately the service was lacking that day and the owner avoided eye contact and ignored me when I said good bye and thank you as I was leaving. Which was quite different from how friendly he was before. I could really love this place if the service, on a busy Sunday brunch, was improved. read more

Waitress was terrible. So rude & unwelcoming. Food took almost an hour (that is not an over exaggeration by any means either) we had to ask where our food was. Waitress NEVER came over once before we had to flag someone down to ask about our order. I worked in the industry for 7 years, it's not that hard to make the customers have a pleasant experience even if the kitchen is backed up. Food was not good either. We have been going here for years. The last three times we felt the food wasn't as good as prior visits. This last time we ordered the different clubs, only 1 came with cheese and none of them came with the bacon. My bread was toasted and part of the crust was too hard to bite into. We also had to ask for refills. We sat outside which was nice. Unfortunately, we won't be back due to the food issues from this time and the last 2 times we came here. This was our first time and the menu is what intrigued us. They have a vast menu for breakfast and lunch with many versatile options. When we arrived, we were greeted, sat and attended to right away. The ambience is very nice. It's family friendly. They have nice windows looking out to the pond. They even have a separate party room for seating up to 20 for a private event. When our food arrived it sealed the deal. I ordered the Monterey Chicken Sandwich and fries (see photo). The presentation was great. The flavors were delicious and the fries... oh my goodness they were so good! My husband ordered the Cobb Salad with Grilled Chicken and a side of Sweet Potato Fries. Everything was delicious. Not many places are open on Xmas Eve, but the Oak Leaf Cafe is! I asked my family to rate their dishes so let's get to it! I'll start with mine, the pro fit avocado toast. (Egg whites, applewood sausage and avocado topped with micro greens and a side of hashbrowns. 4/10: Unfortunately there wasn't any flavor whatsoever. I added a bunch of Cholula and Tabasco to get some flavor- and I never use hot sauces. The portion of hash browns was quite small. What I loved was the amount of egg whites and sausage. My sister in law even commented "it was the tallest avocado toast she's seen". The ultimate omelette 10/10: very good fillings to egg ratio. It's wasn't mostly egg like some omelettes are. Crab Benedict 8/10. California Benedict (w/o avocado) 8/10. Artichoke omelette 9/10, would have been a 10 but again the hash brown portion was quite small. Our waitress was very nice and attentive, always checking in on our drinks for refills. Inside is nice and clean, modern/chic and they were playing Christmas music. read more

Our friend chose this wonderful spot for lunch. She was a regular and we had not been in this area for quite some time, The location offered a nice view overlooking the pond and a pleasant place to talk and eat some good food. The two ladies had crab benedict and I had a meatloaf lunch. The two ladies took home half of their meal for later that nite. I consumed the meatloaf. Good was great, our server seemed a little moody but overall enjoyed the food. My husband ordered a breakfast country skillet, and I ordered a Serrano burger. Both tasted solid. Would have salted it more, but not a big deal. I was served flared champagne, but that was fixed immediately. Overall an ok experience. Restaurant was loud and bustling read more

I stopped in at Oak Leaf Café again for a late breakfast and it was really nice. The place was just like before, calm not bustling and loud. The staff were friendly but gone for long periods of time. Both times we've tried them we weren't super impressed. The service was good. The back patio has a really great view. I like that they use big coffee cups. I hate paying $3-4 and having a tiny cup, so it takes forever to get your money's worth. The service was really nice. Went early so was just me and got to sit wherever. They made me potatoes without onions as allergic which was awesome. Also, they used red potatoes so was especially yummy. Lighting quite glaring over head on one side of the room. Small trays would be nice when paying individual bills as change and cash sitting on table. The food overall was fresh and delicious, and the service couldn't have been better: friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. Came here for a last minute lunch date and it was beyond our expectations! We got the mozzarella sticks, French dip, and Serrano burger. Probably the best mozzarella sticks/marinara sauce I've had, the bread and meat on the French dip was so good but definitely needs some cheese or onions. Service was great and quick. Their interiors need revitalizing. They have some stark lighting in there that makes you feel like you are in a warehouse and the echo is very bad when it's busy. They need a designer to easily solve these issues without a lot of money. The food was average. read more

Went for breakfast with friends and had a bit of a mixed experience. The service was friendly and quick, partly due I think to it being a quiet morning. Still appreciated. It's a nice bright space with windows overlooking the quarry pond. We ordered two chile verde omelettes, chocolate chip pancakes and avocado toast. Everyone enjoyed the food, but my omelette came with a piece of wax paper in it (probably something that was between cheese slices in the packaging). Fortunately I spotted it before eating it, and our very sweet server offered to replace it (I'd probably already eaten a third of it before spotting the paper), and the new dish was still pretty good. I also tasted the pancakes which were pretty tasty as well. The Bloody Mary was fine, if somewhat unremarkable. I'd probably skip that next time but I would be willing to try the food again. read more

Fantastic breakfast spot! I can't believe I never went here before. Friendly staff, bright, spacious and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Great for families, large parties, professional meetings, and dates. Parking was easy as it's in a traditional parking lot within a shopping plaza. Service was fast, we didn't wait long at all for the food. I also enjoyed the variety on the menu. There was something for everyone and the food was served hot and fresh. Unfortunately did not get to try the food despite all of the great things I've heard about Oak Leaf Cafe. My mom & I stopped by to give it a shot. Upon arrival, we were not greeted, nor even looked at, even though there were 2 workers up at front. We waited a while before we were acknowledged. After getting seated, no one bothered to check on us for about 10-15 mins. Another table was seated after us and they were served right away. The other table got their drinks and were able to place their order immediately. The server then left, again not batting an eye towards us. After another 10 minutes of us sitting with no drinks of food, we decided to leave. It simply did not seem fair that as the only people of color in the establishment we were ignored despite getting there before other tables. However, I will say that there was one young man up at front that was very apologetic & wanted to help us anyway he could, but we decided it was best for us to go. A great spot for brunch or lunch. It's not conveniently located, but they have a nice patio out back which is great during the spring and fall. We had Cannelloni Crepes, and the Country Breakfast.
