We are very favorably impressed by the performance and customer service of Oak Plumbing. We hired them to re-pipe our broken sewer line from near our front door to the middle of the street, a Concord city requirement. This involved 65 feet of pipe and about 6 feet down in the street, including support beams to protect the workers. Initially we were impressed by the quality of customer service by the person who answers the office phone. After setting up an appointment for a camera inspection we received follow-up phone calls and were texted a picture of the person who would be coming to our door. This alone inspired confidence in the company. The person turned out to be Danny - an extremely knowledgeable plumber who walked me through the camera inspection, explained the proposed repairs and answered all my questions in great detail. He wrote up a repair plan which I signed, then we scheduled the repair for the following week. Concord requires quite a few permits and inspections, so those arrangements had to be in place before any work would start. Oak Plumbing took care of all this. I informed the neighbors on our street about the forthcoming noise and possible street closure. The day the repair was planned, Danny arrived early, again asked if I had any concerns, and carefully monitored the work throughout the day from 8 through 4:30. Our concrete was cut, a large hole in the street asphalt was cut, the pipes were threaded through, a new Christy box brought us up to code, the concrete was replaced and the asphalt replaced. All the markings for PG&E and CCWD were then removed. Danny took "before and after" pictures which are now in our files documenting the work. He reviewed the final paperwork with me, again answered my questions, and asked if there was anything the company could have done to better the experience. The entire experience went very smoothly. These people clearly know their business and have honed their performance to a tightly choreographed dance. Clean efficient, simple, and elegant. My water heater was having issues and needed a plumber's attention. Oak Plumbing was one of the few that responded to my request within 30 minutes. There was another plumber in my neighborhood that I initially wanted to use due to their proximity to my house but they never responded. Given the quick response and the special they had for water heater maintenance, I decided to reach out to Chad from Oak Plumbing and give them a try. The scheduling was easy and I had someone coming out the next day. Stan showed up the next day within the scheduled window and took a look at my water heater. Since the problem I had was not readily evident, Stan tried different things and waited until we replicated the problem. Once we were able to do that, Stan knew what was wrong. Although Stan had over 20 years of experience, it was not a common situation therefore he consulted with his co-workers to confirm his findings. He noticed my water heater was still under warranty and called the manufacturer and have them send out the parts FedEx the next day. Once the parts arrived, Stan was here next morning and replaced the parts within a couple of hours. Stan told me what I needed and don't need and was willing to work around my schedule to get the job done. Most plumbers will try to sell me what they have in stock or have me hunt done the parts myself but Stan went the extra mile to save me money and dealt with the manufacturer. I had a lot of questions and Stan answered them all and he was easy to talk to. Their pricing was upfront on everything we discussed and there were no side bar conversations with the home office to make it sound like they will give me a deal if I do these extra work now. Legit- 5 stars. So... i recently, and by recently I mean as of May, rented a sweet little spot in Benicia for me and my 2 little humans. From the day we moved in, I right away noticed the drains were slow. (Your instinct knows;-) We werent living there full time so the clogged guts of the 75 year old home hadn't quite shown their wrath yet. Eventually laundry began, dishes, and with each load- a pipe somewhere else in the house would regurgitate stuff from somewhere that stunk, like... real bad. After having standing water in the showers and dishwasher (), The homeowners, trying their hardest to fix the problem through emails as they were overseas, gave me the phn number to This company. Right away the owner was professional and eager to help. We all corresponded through emails, and they were able to get someone out to assess the problem the next day. Long story, slightly shortened; The back-up was bad and the entire front yard had to be dug up and new water lines would have to be placed. It was devastating news that was delivered professionally to myself and the homeowners. Without delay, an Oak Plumbing employee named Anthony was in my front yard from start to finish. Digging trenches, replacing pipe, answering my many questions... finishing the work much quicker than expected, and finally filling in the super deep trench that he dug just a few days prior. Anthony always kept me informed of what was going on, and he didn't leave until every faucet, was running properly, and every drain flowed freely. So, as a busy Nurse and mom of 2, if your system is backed up, and you have slow draining pipes or standing water, call Oak Plumbing and ask for Anthony, or at least give him a shout out! I've used Oak Plumbing twice in the past few months and have been satisfied with the results. I choose Oak Plumbing because they are a Diamond Certified company, and I have had good results with other Diamond Certified contractors before. I first called Oak Plumbing because of a several water leaks in our house, including one that had put our upstairs bathroom out of service. Frank Carranza came out and gave us an estimate. He recommended replumbing the entire house. Since I had heard that recommendation several times from other plumbers over the years, I accepted. The Oak Plumbing office was easy to work with and they guided us through the entire process, including getting the permits and county inspections. Frank Carranza, Matt Harris, and an apprentice, Andrew came out and did the work. It lasted over a week. They showed up on time and finished when they said they would. A couple afternoons, Frank stayed around and fixed minor problems at the end of the day. We were always able to have water and one bathroom working after they left each day. They were professional and easy to have working around the house. After they were done, Frank checked with me to make sure that they had finished everything to my satisfaction. Then a week ago our water heater started leaking badly. I called Oak Plumbing and Matt Harris, and Andrew came out came out and replaced the water heater. It went smoothly and we have more hot water than we have had in a couple years. I've been happy with Oak Plumbing. Our experience with Oak Plumbing was excellent. Martina was extremely helpful and so friendly. She made what could have been a stressful situation much less so. Luis was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Luis inspected our water heater, diagnosed the problem, and provided several quotes depending on if we would be able to get parts under warranty. He suggested reaching out to the water heater company to see if we could get parts under warranty. Jacob came several weeks later once our parts arrived to install and do the job. He was also professional and courteous. Several weeks later, we suspected there might be a leak and they came back to take a look and fix the problem. When I googled water heater repairs, I actually first called another company. They made me an appointment but immediately called back saying they won't even touch water heaters made by AO Smith because hundreds or thousands were recalled. You can imagine my stress thinking I would have to buy a whole new water heater. Then I called Oak Plumbing. When Luis came out, he said to call AO Smith to find out the situation with our water heater. AO Smith confirmed that my water heater was not one that was recalled and provided the parts Oak plumbing needed to fix it. The person answering the calls, talking to customers, and making the appointments is the face of the company. Martina definitely represents Oak Plumbing in a positive and professional manner! In October and November, Oak Plumbing completely replaced my two sewer lines - along the back of the house, and then going out to the street. I had not anticipated the extent of the work, but they never pushed anything. They gave me options, focusing first on the least expensive, but also told me that eventually the back sewer line would have to be replaced (which I already knew) . It was my suggestion to go ahead and replace it. It was a no brainer. I also realized that down the road, I would have to replace the sewer line from the back going out to the city, which would entail redigging up the area they were currently working on. I suggested and chose to also have the additional sewer line replaced. As a result I got a lower-cost then if I had replaced it later on. Luis was great. He was competent, courteous, professional, respectful, personable, and. enjoyable to have around for the time that the job took. His coworker, Travis, was also excellent in the same ways. There were issues with the City of Fairfield's changing permitting requirements, but they handled it expeditiously. Communication was outstanding both from Luis and Travis, and also with the office. Zach also worked one day, with the same level of professionalism and courtesy. They gave me a 15 year warranty on the work, and threw in a brand new Kohler toilet (which I selected) with installation. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome. Oak Plumbing is a great company, and Luis was the best. I've had lots of plumbers over the years, but these guys are the best. read more

We needed plumbing help and called Oak Plumbing. Our original call was to Martina, who was very helpful. Nate came out later that same day after we had spoken with Martina, and provided an estimate. We asked for and received a couple of changes from what we thought originally was the work wanted. Revised estimates were provided in writing for us so we had a clear idea of what would be done and the total costs. On the day the work was to be performed, Alex arrived on time and started to work right away. He installed a pressure regulating valve first and then worked on fixing and changing a faucet that had failed by our back yard patio. He had to open up drywall inside the house to check out the pipe leading from the backyard faucet. Alex did a very neat job when he cut out and opened up the drywall and also replaced the piece of drywall that he carefully had removed. Alex even cleaned up all the dust that accumulated by cutting the drywall. He wore those shoe covers inside the house. Once I approved the quote, Johnny applied discounts and then scheduled me for the next available time slot. He did the work as planned and explained what he was doing while he was doing it. Nate and Matt from Oak Plumbing definitely knows what they're doing...We woke up with no water and found water over flowing in front of our driveway. Because they are a Diamond Certified company our builder contacted Oak Plumbing and came to the rescue. Initially Nate came in and evaluated were the leak was coming from. Due to the extent of the issue they had to come back the very next day and Matt was the one that helped us with the repair. He was very informative, helpful and precise and got our water back up and running. We had a plumbing issue many years ago and used a different company back then so I definitely know and can compare the difference between these companies. As you all know plumbing issues is no joke when it comes to costs. Nate and Matt both helped us and gave us options to save money. Matt was also very careful in removing the drywall/Sheetrock in our garage so it can just be easily placed back once the work is complete. Lauren was very polite and with great enthusiasm when she answered the phone and scheduled my appointment. I received a text a few hours prior to Stan, the technician, arriving letting me know exactly what time they would be at my house. He was honest and didn't try to scare me into doing more than I needed to do and actually made it all very palatable despite the cost being a rather expensive job, but not more so than anyone else other than one other plumber who tried to scare me into replacing the whole unit and installing a cabinet over an outdoor unit that doesn't need one. Stan was upfront and honest and told me what I really needed to do to descale the unit and install valves at a reasonable rate. Stan encouraged me to watch his work and talked to me about everything he was doing and even cleaned out the aerator in the bathroom sink after the flush was done to get any debris cleaned out that the flushing had broken loose in the lines. We had several problems with our shower and sink upstairs and our downstairs bathtub and sink. We called and James came out the next day to give us an exact quote. The day after, he and DeMarus fixed the downstairs bathtub and upstairs sink (which shared a common drain). Unfortunately, the upstairs shower and downstairs sink (which also share a common drain) were still giving us trouble. When we informed Oak Plumbing of this, DeMarus returned and fixed both problems at no charge. Evidently, there had been a miscommunication and the originally quoted price had only been for the downstairs bathtub and upstairs sink. However, since James had quoted us a fixed price to "fix all of the problems," DeMarus did the rest of the work for free. They do good work (even if there was a bit of a misunderstanding) and stand by both their work and their word, which are both rarities in this day and age. I would not hesitate to use their company again for any future needs and give them my highest recommendation without reservation. I would definitely ask for DeMarus in the future. read more

We moved into a new home in Brentwood a year ago and had maintenance done on our water tank for the first time. We called Oak Plumbing based on a neighbor's recommendation. Oak is a Diamond Certified company and they definitely lived up to their rating. The office staff set up the appointment with ease and followed up with an appointment reminder and on the day of the service sent an email with a picture and short bio of the tech who would be providing the service. The Tech arrived at the time promised and completed his work in about an hour. He explained everything he was doing and was very personable. We had a minor problem the following day but Oak Plumbing responded immediately and the issue was quickly resolved. The only item to call out is make sure you specify a water tank. If not, your quote and the actual price will not be even close to matching. But besides that small item, Oak Plumbing is excellent and we have asked them to place us on an annual maintenance plan. I chose Oak Plumbing after Googling plumbers who also perform leak detection. The receptionist was super friendly and polite and quickly set me up with an appointment. Prior to the arrival of the plumber, I received a text with a photo, name (Anthony), and short bio of the plumber who would be making the call. He arrived well within my time window. He immediately introduced himself and put on boot covers before entering my home. He was also very polite. I was suspecting a dreaded slab leak and huge expense to access and repair the leak. After spending a great deal of time looking for the leak that couldn't be found, Anthony discounted the cost of the leak detection and offered information about what might be going on. I really appreciated the time he spent looking for the leak as well as his honesty and discounting the cost to detect the leak (which I hope doesn't get him into hot water... no pun intended.) If we ever do find the leak or need any plumbing projects completed, I will definitely be contacting Oak Plumbing again, and I recommend them very highly. read more

Over the last couple of months our water bill had been increasing substantially each month. I figured I had a leak! Looked up plumbers on Home Advisor and spoke to Nicole from Oak Plumbing who immediately scheduled an appointment. She was extremely professional and courteous. I received an email of who would be coming and their picture (nice touch)! Matt deduced that there was water leaking from my two lowest sprinkler heads and then noticed that my irrigation anti-siphon valve was leaking. He suggested replacing the valve which I was able to do myself. I also explained that one of my toilets seemed to continue running after flushing. Matt checked and was able to determine the toilet fill valve was defective and that the reservoir tank was loose too. I had him go ahead and replace the valve and tighten up the tank. Matt arrived for the appointment within the set window. He was courteous, polite and had great customer service. I would highly recommend this company and would definitely request Matt again!! Our technician was on time, extremely polite, wore booties and responded to our situation in a timely manner. Matt was very well versed in plumbing issues. We had a couple of quirky issues with our new home-- one was murky or cloudy water at various faucets throughout the house. Another was warm water coming from the cold faucet late in the afternoon at the main kitchen sink. We suspected air pockets in the pipes was causing the murkiness in the water and that the pipes were getting warm from the sun in the kitchen. This was confirmed, but we went through a number of tests to rule out other possibilities. Our technician thoroughly analyzed our entire house, the products we installed, and then went away and did some research on his own on our water heater and other products or solutions that we could consider. We were very pleased with his knowledge and attention. The charge was more than fair for the amount of work and time he put into researching our problems. Stan Z. and Oak Plumbing are the best! Our house has narrow pipes and we were experiencing drainage problems in our bathroom. We have several trees on our property and were concerned that roots might be interfering with the pipes. Stan arrived (at the beginning of the four-hour "window"; definitely a first in our experience!), diagnosed that it was nothing more severe than a clog, and didn't leave until he made sure that the water was running through the pipes efficiently. He also provided us with a biodegradable cleaner to use weekly that would keep the pipes clear without damaging them. If you want to find an honest plumbing company, this is the company to use. I had been told that I had a leak under my house by a tech from a pest control company that I hired to do a termite inspection.. He told me there was too much mud under the house to finish what he heeded to do. I thought I had better check it out since my house was built in 1958. and three years ago the sewerage pipes had had to be replaced. I figured I was looking at another very expensive repair. Oak plumbing sent Lenny to my house. . He was efficient,andd careful. He checked the house, and found nothing wrong. Then he checked the water meter make sure it wasn't showing signs of a leak. He assured me everything was as it should be. I am a woman of 87 and can be easily fooled. That didn't happen. I will call this company. again if I need plumbing help. Needing a plumber, I contacted Angie, looking for help. I got an immediate response from Amy at Oak Plumbing and had an appointment the next day. Daniel came out, listened to my concerns and investigated. He found the problem of old, broken, leaking, pipes in my crawl space.
