It is truly a grab and go type place. It is located across the street from the BART station on the backside of an office building. Service was very quick, and the prices are fair for what you get. Not many places offer a combo of a wrap, chips and a soda for $12, but they do here, which was great. Service was very quick, too. There is no seating inside, and a little bit outside but it is just the building furniture, not specific to this cafe. Wrap was about 70% lettuce, 20% chicken, and 10% tomato, which was more or less to be expected for the price. It's a nice spot to quickly grab something and then go up to the office or hop on Bart, but it's nothing special. read more

Solid place for a bite near Pleasant Hill BART station. I visited earlier this afternoon just before they closed at 3. Today was one of those back-to-back meeting days, and I had to work through lunch, so I was very hungry. I needed a bite before meeting colleagues for drinks and appetizers later in the afternoon. I ordered the Asian Chicken Salad ($10). Service was friendly and prompt - I appreciate that they pulled out a fresh salad bag for me even though it was just minutes before they closed. I took the salad to go, and enjoyed it to the last delicious morsel. Will be back! read more

Raul and team are awesome. They cater our office breakfast and lunches without hesitation and do it with a smile. I don't frequent the office daily, but when I do, I try and make sure to pick up breakfast or lunch from here. Sandwiches and wraps are fantastic here. I really like their chicken salad sandwich/wrap and you can't go wrong with the pastrami either. My choice of salad is the Asian chicken salad, but there are a variety of others to choose from. They also have daily specials if you want to switch it up. Breakfast is served until a certain time, and they only stay open until about 3 pm. An excellent breakfast quick stop. Right by the BART station, and only a few steps outside the hotel I was staying at. The Cafe is very small with no indoor seating as it is on the ground floor of the 2990 Oak building. That's no issue because there's a ton of seating in the courtyard right outside the Cafe. I got the big boy burrito, and boy was it big. More than enough to feed two people, filled with meat, eggs, potatoes and more. Washed down with yummy house coffee. The lady who took and prepared my order was pleasant and fast. I think I was only inside rhe Cafe for about 5 minutes total. Fresh good food that's fast, what more could you ask for? read more

Stopped by this cafe for lunch. Beautiful outdoor patio, quiet, easy to walk to from the Canal Trail. The sandwich was fresh and flavorful. We also had mocha coffee and it was just the right amount of chocolate to coffee ratio. We will be back for the breakfast burritos next time we visit. Guy at front cashier is always extremely rude to me and warm/friendly with other customers. No greeting no questions to help out. Told him to keep the change and he insisted I didn't. Had nothing to say when I confronted him about always being rude to me when I go in there. read more

This cafe is amazing and I am honestly blessed that I live close enough to eat from here during the workweek. This is definitely a to-go location catered towards the office workers in the Pleasant Hill Business District, offering classic sandwiches, salads, and wraps done well and consistently every time. They have a good variety of drinks, including energy drinks, VitaminWater, Jarritos, Joes Tea, Snapple, and more, and their chip selection rotates as well, offering Dirty Chips, Uglies, Deep River, Lays (baked), and Popchips. They also have a rotating daily special, all of which are delicious - the main star being their tri tip sandwiches on Tuesdays. Other specials they have had are: Chicken Teriyaki over rice Carnitas/Chicken burritos and bowls Taco salad Al pastor, carne asada, and kalua pork tacos Ground turkey with basil over rice Meatball sandwich Tuscan chicken over rice Honestly the list goes on! Today was the first time that I tried a lunch special from the Cafe and I have to say that the price and food was perfect! Today was the Lasagna, and it was a healthy portion served with 2 pieces of yummy garlic bread. Sorry, no picture because I ate it so fast. It was tasty and just a perfect lunch. Work moved to an office nearby recently and this cafe is an absolute blessing for quick work lunches--really reasonably priced, quick, and a decent selection with some really good specials in rotation (chicken florentine rice bowl is my favorite). My employer just moved office out to the Contra Costa Centre area. It's been difficult to find a good variety of lunch options out here. I saw this places street signs/placards and decided to try them. Very friendly employees. But the actual food was not that great. I ordered a Chicken Salad Wrap. What I got was a lettuce wrap with a little Chicken Salad on it. I would say it was about 1/4 Chicken Salad and 3/4 lettuce. Very disappointing. read more
