Came in at 12:40, didn't get our food until 2pm. Unfortunately, not an exaggeration since everyone in our party commented on it and checked the time. They apologized a few times but that was about it, the restaurant wasn't super busy/crowded since 50% of tables were empty (maybe they had a huge catering event or lots of takeout orders?). Food wise, wasn't super impressed either- not to warrant waiting that long. Ordered the vegan biscuit (hard) and smothered it in jam and vegan butter, sausage (super salty), sautéd kale (bland) and whipped coffee (good and super sweet). Maybe my experience would have been better if I had gotten what I wanted originally- the French toast but they were out. Partner got the poutine and that was salty but overall nice.

Tried out Oak. You could say I went in with high expectations. I shouldn't have. It's a cute little spot. A row of quaint eateries. We sat near the window so lighting was good. It was a lil tight but not bad. Make sure you come here with people you like since you gotta sit close. lol. Our servers were all very nice so that a plus in my books. I ordered some fries as an appetizer and my friend ordered the Brussels. Both were very mid. I then ordered the bacon cheeseburger with mushrooms and pepperjack on a gluten free bun. That was mid as well. It was good but I wanted OMG YUMM!! I could've bought this at 5 guys. It would be amazing if they incorporated some exotic burger toppers. It was a positive experience just not one that would bring me back. Thanks for the great night with friends.

Reservation for a party of 12. Rustic, cozy little place around the corner from our AirBnB. Fellow diners had:chimichuri chicken sandwich, grilled cheese plus sandwich, lots of burgers, a chicken wrap. Everyone seemed very pleased with their meals. Another diner & I ordered the chicken pot pie. By definition there is pastry, chicken, veggies & a SAUCE/GRAVY. The phyllo pastry top was great, veggies were ok. However, where's the sauce/gravy? There wasn't any. Tasted like mashed potato mixed with thyme flavored chicken. Plenty of tasty chicken. But the lack of sauce. My husband ordered a burger said, "it looks dry where's the sauce?" My fellow diner had said the same. Why 4 stars? The cocktail was good, everyone else really liked their meals. The giant chocolate chip cookie served to our recent college grad was warmed with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. If you pass on the chicken pot pie, you will be fine.

Glad we got around to trying them out! We came on a Sunday early dinner. The bar was packed. The dining room wasn't yet we seated right away. Our server seemed a little occupied, but she was very friendly and knowledgeable. They offer vegan vegetarian and all of the above. I am vegan and we tried: Vegans pot pie 5/5 Kale fried chicken salad 5/5 Vegan Fish sandwich 5/5 Peanut butter, chocolate custard 5/5 Apple bourbon pie 4/5 So as you can see, we were very happy and pleased with all of our food. As for the ambience, I will say it is very casual. Kind of makes me think of a tavern. Dark. Lots of fun decor, lots of PNW vibes. The bathrooms could use improvements, but.. yeah I guess that's vegan casual dining?!?

Oak was a pleasant surprise. We live in the area and have passed by the restaurant so many times, but finally decided to stop in for dinner. The food was great. We shared the creamed sweet corn nuggets, curried chickpeas, and spicy fried chicken kale Caesar salad. Everything was flavorful. My fiancée is from the south and hasn't had corn nuggets in years. She said these brought her back to the ones her grandmother would make when she was a kid! The chicken on the salad was crispy and tender. The chimichurri on the chickpeas balanced the curry flavor nicely. The portions were shareable, especially the salad which was LARGE! Service was fantastic. Our waitress was super sweet and attentive, but not in an overwhelming way. Overall we had a great experience at Oak and will return to try more items on the menu.

Cute homey inside seating area! Some tables are pretty close together, but overall easy to grab a table with some friends. Chicken dinner: the fried chicken was perfectly crispy and tender! Super good boneless fried chicken. However, this would have been even better with some sauce! I tried my friend's mushroom gravy and that would have been perfect for this. Although, there was honey that came on the dish. But I do like me some gravy!! Cornbread had a savory addition like green chile or something in the batter? Came with butter and honey, but was a bit dry in the middle. Green beans were tasty, but a little floppy on some parts. I like their fried chicken, so I might try their sandwich next time!

I started with an old fashioned that really hit the spot. Oak is a nice, casual American food spot. I got the chicken pot pie and the Brussel sprouts and was happy with them. We also got the cupcake and bourbon apple crumble. I much preferred the bourbon apple crumble. Service was good and the restaurant was decorated with autumnal things.

BEST BURGER 2025.... No lie hands down this burger was so delicious and fries as well. It hit the spot. Would definitely go back just for the burger. They have a lot of vegan options not my taste but the only burger on the menu is a BURGER BURGER!!... service was awesome and place is nice and clean and well kept and thjs is all I gotta say THEY DELIVERED ON IT....

Good bacon cheese burger and fried chicken Cesar salad. Their Cesar dressing is made w cashews so it taste creamy. Portions are huge. I'm guessing they used coconut cream for their corn chowder, it tastes good but similar to a curry taste than chowder though.

I asked for it a tad spicy and it came prettttyyyy spicy, but my stomach also wasn't at it's normal state that day, so who knows. They come topped with olives, bacon, and pepperoni. At first I wasn't digging that, but after I sucked some of the drink down and came alive again, the bacon was tasting really good! Staff is friendly, they've got tons of space, and there's a solid food menu (didn't order but lots sounded good). Definitely a hole-in-the-wall spot. Don't expect to walk into something fancy, it's definitely just a dive but it's fun, fairly clean, and prices are fair. We'll be back!

A pint of beer will cost you $8.50 with tax but without tip, so that's basically $10! Service was a bit slow and not too friendly, but definitely not rude. I got the St. Germaine spritz and we shared the lemongrass steak nachos, frites, and kimchi arancini! St Germaine spritz: I love a cocktail/alcoholic beverage that is on the sweeter side. I don't really love when can I taste the alcohol in a mixed drink so this drink was definitely up my alley. It was super refreshing and had a nice bubblyness to it. Lemongrass steak nachos: the lemongrass was definitely a standout taste in these nachos which I loved! I loved the combo of the fresh ingredients like the cilantro, lemongrass, and cabbage with the steak and queso, it helped to balance all the flavors and didn't feel heavy Frites: pretty standard tasting fries, not too skinny and not too thick which I liked! The chili mayo had a nice smoky sweet flavor and it was a great dipping sauce! Kimchi Arancini: these were crispy and had a nice gooey cheese in the middle which definitely had a cheese pull. The kimchi taste I felt was relatively mild which is great for people that don't want such a strong sour kimchi flavor, I love kimchi so I could've definitely had it stronger. They do give you a side of kimchi to go with it, but I didn't love the kimchi it came with. I'm used to getting kimchi from Hmart or other Asian grocery stores but this was pretty mid to me. Overall I would definitely come back to try their other dishes and cocktails! Their brunch menu looks good and I'll probably be back for that next time.

The cauliflower dish feels almost like a fresh salad, light and easy to eat, and the gnocchi with chipotle sauce had a nice subtle kick. The focaccia and sardines paired perfectly with champagne and white wine. Right next door is Homer, a very popular restaurant, and I've been to both--but honestly, I prefer this place. Maybe it's a bit less trendy because there aren't many main-course options, but everything I've tried here has been consistently delicious. Overall, it's just a comfortable, inviting spot that's perfect when you want good food and a relaxed drink. Also staff are friendly and welcoming. I've been back many times and will definitely keep coming.
