EXCELLENT!!! Had lunch there today. We went after searching yelp because we are not local but we are very critical about good food. We both ordered Chicken Marsala kebabs. Great dish. Very tender and tasty chicken and lots of it. Rice was really good, really soft. And the STAFF WERE EXCEPTIONAL --very friendly and they checked with us twice while we ate to ask if we needed anything-- unheard of in most restaurants these days. We eat here often and one time our lock to our bike wouldn't open, we needed something to break the lock, the owner let my dad use his vehicle to go get the right tools. Ordered a cauliflower pizza with two toppings, pineapple and sausage. The cauliflower crust was amazing and delicious....I was worried it wasn't cauliflower b/c it was so good. The only reason why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5, they barely gave me any pineapple pieces on the pizza. They up charged me $4 for cauliflower crust - the least they can do is give me a decent amount of pineapple pieces. My friend got the chopped cheese sandwich.... It's basically a Philly cheese sub. We'll it happened again. Another good experience at Oakley Tavern. It's less of a bar feel and more of a restaurant but there is a bar area with monitors showing the game. But we were there for a special occasion and they did not disappoint. The food is always plentiful with larger than normal portions. When we asked to sit on the large patio outside, they were quick to setup the heater and gave us attentive service. The food is flavorful Mediterranean that has been consistently delicious each time. The dinner salad was large and more than enough food. The Kabob Combo is my usual and has great flavor on the beef and Chicken as well as the rice. Be sure to try the chutney. It takes everything up a level. Sometimes the noise of being on Main Street is a bit much but there is music on the patio to counter that and the setting is nice. No pictures this time. We gave this place a try on Mother's Day. Location is bright and open, not the typical "tavern" that I had in mind. The food was diverse but we were pleasantly surprised with how well they were executed. The wings were done perfectly with right oil temperature so it's crisp, not greasy. The crusts on the pizza & Turkish bread were light and crispy. The gyros were okay, but the highlight is the chicken noodle soup! I tasted lemon, turmeric, & zaartar spices...so good! The server Jose was helpful & friendly. Then Naim himself made everyone feel like family and took time to talk to all patrons, deliver food (& performing quality control/check) to our table. He made good recommendations with local wine, & deserts. We will be back mostly for that soup & the friendly environment. read more

Went down on October 9th, a Friday afternoon around 3pm for take away. Clean and fairly modern looking for a pizza/kebob joint as it's only a week old. Ordered inside from a nice young lady. Explained it was my first visit, but heard good things from friends. Ordered a 12" cauliflower crust Margherita pizza and a 12" thin crust sausage, black olives and mushroom pizza. When I asked about a mixed kebob plate to try the different types, she recommended the combo of beef and chicken with rice. Could have been a bit more helpful while trying to order, but that will come with time. They were a full 12 inches. Pizza's were good (if a bit blackened on the bottom), though I prefer that to being undercooked. Not crispy but not rubbery, either. Pizza was very tasty and a fair price. Didn't feel thirsty or bloated like most pizza places. The only thing I would change is to not use cherry tomatoes on the Margherita pizza as it gives a chewy texture to the skin when baked. Diced or sliced tomatoes would be preferred. Had the kebobs the next night. Very good and not dried out. Generous portions for the price. The sample of curry peas/potatoes was a nice tasting side. My Armenian wife is a big fan now and can't wait to go and try more dishes on the outside patio. Only downside (not the fault of the Oakley Tavern) is the amount of traffic Main St. funnels down in front of the place. I do love outdoor seating, though the patio is a courtyard which opens to the street with only a sidewalk separating the two. Around commute time, noise and exhaust fumes were a drawback. At some point, sound dampening measures would be a good idea. read more

Went for lunch today with my husband. The food was so good! I had the tavern gyro and my husband had the Santa Fe wrap. Everything was so fresh and delicious.
