I love the food and the employees! My husband and I have visit the restaurant twice since they have opened. The location is on Main St. with plenty of parking. The restaurant itself is very new and clean, and the bar looks amazing. Our favorite things on the menu so far are the wings and kebab wrap with waffle fries. The plates come with a lot of food, and very well worth the money!! All the workers are so nice and the food is prepared fairly fast. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone! read more

First time trying out Oakley Tavern and I had an excellent experience. Cashier was super friendly and answered all of my questions. I had the combo steak and chicken kabob and it was delicious. What a great establishment! Not only is the food delicious but prices are great, the inside of the restaurant is very clean and tastefully done. The staff is very friendly and professional and pickup up food was very easy. I've had issues in the area of restaurants forgetting items when I order takeout but this place packed up everything nicely and the person (I think was maybe the owner or manager) checked my entire order to make sure everything was in the bag and also threw in a free soda. I'm a regular at this place. I was blown away from the very first time I ate here. They treat you like family and I never leave unsatisfied. Everything I've tried on the menus is very good, and they offer a "sample" soup with your meal. DO NOT PASS THIS UP! Its delicious. I think the only critique I have is that I don't always know where to order. Do I go to the front, or table service? But don't let that deter you from trying this place. Food was AMAZING! We ordered the Tavern Special pizza (regular and cauliflower) the chicken tiki masala pizza, kabobs and the kabob wrap. Staff was incredibly friendly and efficient. We didn't have to wait for a table and loved the complimentary soup, while we waited for our order. The restaurant was super clean and tables were bused quickly after customers left. There wasn't an empty table the entire time we were there. We heard great things and drove all the way from Tracy to try it out. We were not disappointed and will be back! read more

We tried them again after finding out they serve halal meat with all their kabobs. It was mighty delicious. They made the change about a month ago. Service was great and food was even better. Living in Oakley where there are not that many restaurants, it is nice to see something like this open up. The Oakley tavern has a pleasant variety of food options, from Wood fired Pizza to chicken wings and wraps. It's been awhile since I've had a good wood-fired pizza, so I decided to give this place a try. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to order and how quickly the food was ready. I drove to the tavern and parked on the street. Once inside, I noticed that the restaurant was very clean and everybody was taking a pandemic seriously. There was plexiglass by the cash register and everybody was wearing masks. The pizza was hot and ready to go. I noticed that both the inside and outside of the restaurant were as packed as they could be considering the circumstances. While it certainly was not my favorite pizza, it was pretty good. One of my favorite parts of the pizza were the pepperoni, which were so delicious. Probably the closest pizza I can compare this to is round table. The crust looks to be layered in a similar way to their pizza, but with a wood-fired twist. I really enjoyed the other toppings too, including the bell peppers. My only criticisms of this pizza, and I know that this is hard to get right with wood-fired pizzas in general, is that the crust was a little too burnt and there was some kind of flavor lacking in the tomato sauce. These criticisms are minor and would not prevent me from coming back to this place. I can't wait for the pandemic to be over so I can come here and enjoy some pizza and beer, and maybe try their wings and other menu items too. I find that this place is very promising and has a bright future ahead of it if they keep up the quality control. I am definitely looking forward to coming back in the future. read more

You never want to be too harsh on a small business, but our dining experience here was frustrating. It was fairly busy for a week night, and we had a table and our food, pretty quickly, but that's where the service ended. Literally. No one ever came back to check in on us, no one ever even came to get our bill and my husband had to go up to the desk and ask to pay. The gentleman who I assume is the owner was confused and offered to bring our daughter a cookie, but at that point we'd waited so long to leave we were ready to go. Maybe it was just a missed communication on who was suppose to have our table, but it wasn't a good enough experience for us to really want to return. This new restaurant is really yummy & has outdoor dining for COVID. You order inside and then they will bring the food out to you. We had pizza and breadsticks, really tasty. They have heat lamps outdoors which was nice. The owner was extremely friendly and offered us coffee, dessert, and checked on us frequently. He was really sweet. First off, I work for FedEx Express. So, i'm all over place in East Bay. I'm picky when it comes to food. I tried a lot of Mediterranean but this place is one of my favorite. The restaurant is nice and clean I love their food! Costumer service is excellent 10/10, especially the owner! I remember I was new eating to this restaurant, he takes care of his costumer as if you've been eating here for a year. Tried the kabobs and they were good and huge portions! I'm not a fan of the soup curry pea soup but to each their own. When I first became aware that this establishment existed, I drove by to check it out. My thought was, I have no idea. Looking through the menu, you would not think anything would be great ad it spans so many different types of foods. After trying it, it has quickly become a favorite of everyone in my household. From Burgers that come with fries and a soda (yes, they still believe in the combo being a standard service), Chicken sandwiches combos, Pizzas, Gyros, Kabob plates, salads, soups and more! Oh and did I mention that they specialize in local brews and wines too? They even have craft selections. But this post is about my newest favorite item: Tiramisu Pudding!!!! ITS EXCELLENT!!! I wish I had a pic but I was too anxious to try because what I haven't said is EVERYTHING THEY COOK TASTES EXCELLENT! Yep, first 100% excellency rating by yours truly. Now the set up is quaint but does not match the quality of flavor, perfection in cooking of their food. This is one of my favorites for sure! read more
