We noticed this place last month while we were driving to the pumpkin patch. We almost came by then for the first time, but we decided against it. That was a huge mistake. We went in for lunch today to see what they were all about. They walked us through every item on the menu and took time to answer all of my questions. In the end my wife and daughter ordered pizzas and I got the beef wrap. Everything is prepared fresh and it tasted that way. The wrap was amazing. I have never had Afgan food before in my life, but I am glad I decided to try something new. It was delicious. The pizzas are cooked in a brick oven which made the crust divine. Their garlic sticks were amazing too. All in all this was an amazing experience. With top notch service and amazing food my family will be adding this restaurant to our normal rotation of eateries. read more

I wanted to love this place based off the reviews and being local, I really did. .. However this was not the case. My husband and I decided to go out on a date night with another couple, we were excited to try something new and to get out of the house. We walked in to a way to bright of a restaurant felt as if I needed my sunglasses, but it was fairly busy so I thought must be good. We walk up to the counter and were greeted by a very busy employee who told us to pick a seat, so we did. 20 minutes later not one person has come by to see if we wanted a drink, I mean water at this point would have been great! We noticed people lining up to order, so we thought maybe we got it wrong and need to go up to the counter. We get up to get in line to be told someone would be with us shortly. Five minutes later a waitress came by, she seemed as if she couldn't take our order fast enough almost skipped mine completely, we ordered a round of "draft" beers. The beers were Flat, all of them and we all ordered a different beer. Okay, no problem we are moving forward. We ordered apps and our meals. The first part of our apps came out and they were frozen poppers that were thrown into the deep fryer, same with the mozzarella sticks. Okay well Apps and beer were a bust food must be great, cause I mean the place is pretty busy, right? No, unfortunately another disappointment, the chopped burger was just ok and the bun was stale In the end we left hungry and disappointed and went down the street for food and drinks. Ambience and food was not at all what I expected based off of the reviews. Seemed like family owned and operated business which I love to support but seemed like that was likely the majority of the customers last night, family and or friend's as staff seemed to know and pay attention to certain tables in which I saw walking into the kitchen as well. Our first experience today. Picked up our order. Was told 20 minutes. Got there in 20 minutes and order was ready. Inside 3 p.m there were only a couple customers inside eating. I got to look at the inside and must say I was impressed. Very attractive space and looked VERY clean! Girl at register was o.k. did not seem to cheery but that's o.k. maybe it was a hard day. Pizza: we ordered large Tavern Special. Light sauce tender chicken pieces- bacon- onion- red & green and a bit of tomatoes & fresh basil on top, and of course cheese. Crust was crunchy and thin. Very fresh tasting all the way around.ingredients tasted high quality. Being as pizza is cooked in brick oven we expected some slight burnt edges. I would rate the pizza a 9 out of 10. We also ordered 12 Hickenlooper wings. They don't mind if you choose 2 flavors. We chose 1/2 Korean and 1/2 spicy Honey ( I think that's the name) both had nice heat! Both were perfectly cooked. No dried out chicken wings here. I give them a 10/10 for wings. The ranch dressing....o.k so I'm a ranch snob. I know bottled ranch is easy, but it's just not good ranch. So that being said, ranch mix is easy to make. Just need the big one from Costco....some mayo & milk and you make us all happy. All in all I give Oakley Tavern a 9 for now. Next time I order if the ranch is made in house, I will give them a 10!! Husband and I tried Oakley Tavern for the first time today. He ordered tavern special pizza and I got a combo kabob. Both were very good. The potato pea curry was good (more like a soup than a thick curry) and while both the beef and chicken were tasty, I preferred the chicken. We've Been in Oakley for a few months now and Oakley Tavern has been on our radar to try. We finally had an opportunity to try it and I'm so glad we did. We were a party of 6 literally coming in 45 min before closing, because we got back in from out of town late. Needless to say the service and the food were both excellent. Everything from the Kabob combo to the garlic cheese sticks and brick oven chicken wings were delicious! The service was on point and the owner made sure to welcomed us to OT and Oakley. Absolutely the best hospitality. The management here genuinely cares about you and your food. The management the servers the cashier were all very respectful and amazing. I've always heard good things about this place and I finally got to come and try it. I had the Buffalo chicken wrap and it was really good and my wife got the cauliflower pizza bbq and tavern special which was very delicious.
