Lips drink water. Hearts drink wine. --E.E. Cummings Hoopes Vineyard is a family owned and operated winery. Lindsay Hoopes is a second generation wine maker. Interesting to learn about her story and the challenges that she faces from her marketing director at a wine tasting event that I recently attended.

The most family friendly winery I've visited! We have a large family with 4 kids ranging from 14 years to 6 months old and were looking for a Napa Valley winery to stop at on our way from the Bay Area to Hidden Valley and came across this hidden gem via Google search. We were greeted with a glass of their Sauv Blanc and were given various seating options to choose from with lots of shade. The farm and animal sanctuary surround you; it is well maintained and doesn't have any "farm" odor! The animals intermingle and look very happy and well taken care of. The kids really enjoyed our time at this winery, which is a hard sell since wine tasting is an adult activity. Children over age 2 are a $20 fee and it includes a snack/activity box for them to enjoy. We received a complimentary tasting of 5 wines with our purchase of 2 bottles per adult. It was a bit pricey for a single tasting, but we walked away with happy kids and 4 bottles of wine to enjoy on our vacation. Highly recommend their Rose! Also enjoyed the Chardonnay and Shiraz. Forgot to mention that you have the option to purchase some delicious Smitten ice cream at the end of your tasting and we also had the cutest puppy come visit our table!

This is the spot is perfect for families and animal lovers. This place hosts a quaint animal sanctuary and incredible views of the vineyard. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Special shout-out to Livia who let us talk her ear off and educated my husband and I on the local wines, also shout-out to Denise who educated us in the animals in the property. We loved the wine but came back primarily for the adorable animals and 5 star service. Tastings are on the house when you buy 2 bottles (per person) however, we had no problem doing that as the Rosé was perfectly refreshing on the 80 degree weather day we arrived, and the Cab Sauv is crowd pleaser. Thank you Livia and Denise for making our time here one of our highlights on our anniversary trip. We will be back!

Wonderful family owned winery that is extremely family and dog friendly. We celebrated a couple birthdays here with some toddlers and they enjoyed the animals very much. The wine was really good and it was a very relaxed tasting. Theres no food but you can bring your own or DoorDash. Livia was super kind and knowledgeable and very accommodating. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Absolutely loved our time here!! Came here to celebrate a birthday with 5 other people and can't tell you how well (especially Richard) took care of us! They even gave the birthday girl a personalized card, wine tasting, and ice cream. Amazing service, wines, and we loved the atmosphere!!! Excited to come here again for all of our special events!

This place is aptly named- an oasis! It's a unique and tranquil environment in Napa. Not only can you taste some yummy wine, but you are surrounded by beautiful vineyards, gardens and animals as part of the property's sanctuary. A highlight was meeting two baby pigs they recently took in - chicharron and piggy smalls! About the tasting- There is a fee ($50/person/hr) that can be used towards wine to go or wine to drink there. They do not do traditional tasting flights at the moment. You have the option to purchase mini bottles of wine (3 of your choice for $95) or full bottles (ranging from $35-125). We chose the mini bottle option so we could try a variety- We enjoyed what we had and that they had a few cabs to choose from.

    inside is so cool too

if there were more stars they would have earned every one of them today! i loved Richard's comment it is "Napa valley with a Sonoma vibe"! simply put in my mind.... Shangri La!!! this is a magical winery filled with the most amazing people and fantastic wines! the property is stunning, love that they have animals (which they rescued) so think donkey, goats, chickens (yes you can get farm fresh eggs and fresh garden veggies grown with LOVE by Katie! oh my gosh. and you can go and get a cornucopia of her fresh veggies with your wine tasting!! or they say your experience and what an an amazing experience it is!! so make you reservation, grab your happy face(no negativity please as these guys are seriously soooo filled with love) and go have fun! if you wish

    Awesome spot for tastings

But dog friendly. Quality/Quantity - I had a hard time with the website making my appointment, it's a user issue as I am just not tech savvy. So I called and someone actually answered the phone and made my appointment for me, THANK you! We arrived 15 mins early, so we hung out in the lobby reading all the history, etc. Then Skip took us to the best view overlooking the vineyard for our tasting; see pictures! We sampled almost ALL the reds! All of which were good. See pictures. I like the fact that we did side by side tastings of many of his wines. My favorites were the 2022 Primitivo and 2021 Malbec, which we bought a few bottles of. Ambiance - Secluded private winery. Close to main Downtown Napa, but far enough away for privacy and a feeling of being far away. Appointment only, so very private and customer focused. Typically no more than 3 parties at a time. Today was considered a very busy day as there were 4 parties including us, lol. Gated private estate. 200 acres. Plenty of parking, especially since hosting only 3 guests at a time. Events - See their website. Well behaved dogs are allowed outdoors. Service - Skip is a history buff and we both talked for hours... After leaving, well really the next day (LOL), I realized that our tasting was supposed to be only 60 minutes. I guess because we got along so well, we stayed until closing! And he gave me a glass with a generous splash and let us walk the property alone after they left! So welcoming and trusting. Price - Depends on which tasting and what you buy; see their website for prices. Tastings range from $50 to $100 per person. One free designated driver allowed. Tasting fees waived with wine equivalent purchases. Hike tours $75 per person ($60 for club members). See their website for more information. My husband and I were able to call ahead and schedule a very last-minute tasting, and from the very beginning, the hospitality was exceptional. I work in the wine industry on the retail side in Texas, while my husband does not, so creating an experience that feels both educational and approachable for both of us is not always easy. Steve absolutely nailed it. He welcomed us warmly, shared thoughtful stories about the wines and the winery, and made the experience feel incredibly personal. The tasting room itself is beautiful and feels like a hidden gem in Napa. We especially loved learning about the wines and the woman winemaker behind Levendi. The tasting was stunning from start to finish. What truly sets Levendi apart, though, is the level of hospitality. Since our visit, I have referred many of my favorite clients to Levendi, and Steve consistently goes above and beyond for them. He bends over backwards to make sure my customers are taken care of, and every single person I've sent has come back raving about their experience. At this point, a trip to Napa would not feel complete without a stop at Levendi. I honestly cannot imagine Napa without Levendi -- or Steve. Shortly after, her husband (and the winery's owner) Adam walks up with their daughter and asks us how we're doing. We continue to be starstruck. Service was wonderful. Seating was comfy. The views weren't the best (we were drinking on the sidewalk and there's a parklet too.) The 5 wines for $29 was not bad, but the size of the pours was lacking. The first pour was the smallest and then slowly they seemed to give us more (maybe they heard me!) Honestly, the pricier wines tasted better. This is a winery if you're interested in the wine label itself not a vineyard tour. We are impressed by the wines and enjoyed almost all of them. They are reasonably priced for wine purchase though I'm not used to paying $75-150 per person for tastings during the almost post pandemic Napa climate though I understand the price increase. . The wines range from $25-75 which is not considered over the top in Napa. We enjoy Saxum wines ( $100 to $500) very very occasionally and I would consider that high end , so Vinoce is definitely not on the high end in terms of price nor overpriced for their wines. Fun fact: Our host mentioned that their wines are seen on the TV show series "succession" ... We enjoyed our tasting and especially loved the Pinot and Cabernet. I booked this experience to celebrate my husband's birthday, and one of the reasons I chose it was because the website advertises that guests can "relax in a private cabana at the Overlook." Unfortunately, that was not our experience. We were seated at a regular table without a view of the Overlook. When I asked if we could move to one of the cabanas, I was told they were reserved for parties larger than 2. However, there was a couple (party of 2) seated in one of the cabanas, so that explanation was inaccurate and left me feeling embarrassed for even asking. Had I known we would not be seated in a cabana as advertised, I would have booked a different experience. The scenery and photo opportunities were a big part of why I chose this package, and because of where we were seated, we weren't able to enjoy that aspect at all. This experience was not cheap, so I don't think it's unreasonable to expect that what is advertised is what guests actually receive. When people are paying for a specific experience, it's important that the website accurately reflects what is included or clearly states if certain features, such as cabana seating, are not guaranteed. As for the horseback riding tour, I was near the back of the line and could barely hear what the guide was saying. As a result, we missed most of the information shared throughout the ride. It would be helpful if the tour guides periodically stopped to speak to the group or used a system that allows everyone to hear, regardless of where they are in the line, especially when some people may be hard of hearing. This is something that really needs improvement, as the educational aspect of the tour is part of the experience guests are paying for. I would also recommend updating the website so it accurately sets expectations for future guests. I also hope staff provide honest and transparent explanations rather than giving information that is inconsistent with what guests can clearly see.
