Great basic turkey sandwich! I was surprised by how large the sandwich was. Added mustard!

Lafayette, California in early October is like an autumnal daydream. At high noon, the shaking tree leaves seem to sing in unison off Mt Diablo Valley Blvd. On the adjacent to BevMo off Mt Diablo Blvd, you will run into a rare parking lot with space ($2/hour metered parking) and this little cozy place. It's quiet and an excellent place to sit outdoors and eat a sandwich and relax for 30-45 minutes on your lunch break. I had the Turkey Avocado Turkey Pannini. The toasted bread is almost like a large cross-cut fry and this tasted decent. Not a ton of flavor but did the job. With a Pelligrino, it will cost you $20. Service is reliable and sincere.

Hidden behind a couple buildings, Oasis Cafe is a delightful little cafe serving Mediterranean with fairly decent prices for the area. Bowls, gyros, and the greek platter top the list on what looks the most appetizing. It's quite a small place with a few tables indoors and outside. It's a much more casual environment, and the employee here was pretty nice and friendly. It doesn't seem to get too crowded here which is pretty nice especially for the lunch hour. I ordered the chicken Shawarma bowl (~$9), and my coworkers tried out the lamb gyro and the greek platter. The bowl came with some pita, lots of good looking veggies, and of course some pretty good chicken. The bowl was pretty filling, and had plenty of variety to keep me interested. Great place if you're looking for a quick bite. The greek platter also looked really good too

We opted to not sit outside, rather inside right by the exterior seating to still get the vibes but also some AC. I love places like Lafayette where all the businesses support each other and help each other grow. Their brews on tap are mostly all local, and we grabbed some Pilsners sourced from Lafayette's new brewery, Western Flyer. So fresh and crisp. Can't wait to also check that spot out. Food-wise, we came in mid-afternoon and grabbed a Kale Pancetta salad (they pre-split the salad for us on two plates which was so nice), and for the mains, we both grabbed the Tuna Melt with fries. The salad was delicious. I'm def a tuna melt girly, and I loved the addition of the ciabatta (?) as the bread option, so fresh as well. This tuna melt comes with grapes fyi, and a few other elements mixed in. I absolutely loved it, just sharing though as I know how some tuna stans like their tuna :) This spot is clean, spacious, and perfectly situated in walking distance downtown. Would love to come back for brunch with a group of friends, or even again during the upcoming Lafayette Art & Wine Fest. Food is good, service is quick and friendly, and vibes are right. Metered parking located across the street.

There's plentiful inside seating and a comfortable shaded outdoor patio. There is a full bar that some folks were sitting at. We opted for the outside patio since we had our kids with us and they can be loud. Our server was kind and accommodating. She checked in often, but not in an invasive way. Everything here is farm to table, and tasted fresh. The oysters were delicious and so were the mussels which came with a delightful coconut broth and grilled bread. The kids enjoyed a fried chicken slider with fries. My favorite was the beet salad with goat cheese. It was so flavorful and perfectly cooked. This is definitely a spot to try with or without your kiddos. I would come back for dinner with the hubby.

Honestly, it went by pretty fast since we just walked around and talked. There are also benches outside if you want to sit while you wait. Once we were seated, the ambiance inside was so nice; dim lighting, cozy, and just a really good vibe overall. Shoutout to whoever was on aux because the music was hitting they were playing Mac Ayres, Gabe Bondoc, lots of R&B . The music added to the atmosphere without being too loud, even though the place itself was lively. The food was AMAZING. My favorites were the sisig and garlic fried rice, both were so flavorful and satisfying. The drinks were also really good!! Definitely recommend this spot, and I can't wait to come back!!

I wasn't a huge fan of the service we had. A lot of strange side comments from the waiter probably made for conversation and to seem comfortable, but it wasn't really appreciated. We were also sat first outdoors and it seemed like other tables that got seated after us got their food and were done before us. There were many times we had to waive someone down for things. We ordered the kilawen, chicken Inasal, sisig, pancit, and adobo rice. Everything was good but as Filipinos we still had our thoughts. The kilawen was probably my favorite, it was so refreshing, flavorful, and well balanced. A great appetizer to have, it came with plantain chips. The chicken inasal wasn't anything special, just was like grilled chicken, didn't have much popping flavors. The sisig was my boyfriend's favorite! I thought it was a bit salty and not sizzling enough, but it was still good. The pancit had a very citrusy flavor profile to it, I liked it. The adobo rice was our issue. As a Filipino, rice is a must with our meal. We got all of our food but no rice and had to flag someone down for it. All to be told, they ran out of rice for the adobo rice so they gave us garlic rice in the mean time. The garlic rice tasted very buttery, more butter than garlic I'd say. We practically finished our food, and wanted to cancel the adobo rice and it eventually came out. It was good, but by the time we got it we were so full. I'd say note for the resto - have the rice ready with the meal... esp as a Filipino restaurant. We ended with the turon which came with langka ice cream and the tres leches. Do not miss out on the tres leches!!! It was soooo good. Milky, soft/moist, didn't break apart or crumble in a bad way. I'd go back just for the tres leches tbh.
