I received a prenatal massage which was great, very gentle. It definitely got rid of my ankle swelling up due to my pregnancy. However, I don't plan to return to this spa because of the poor customer service I received when I called to book my appointment. I called on a Saturday and I was placed on hold for for a long time and they eventually hung up the phone. So I called back later in the afternoon and I was told me to hold again and I said I waited previously on hold and you guys hung up. The staff person responded that they are very busy and that they have a long line. There was no apology for hanging up while I was waiting. Really nice Day Spa in Westchester with an extensive menu of services in the massage and facial categories. Above the NYSC (New York Sports Club), it's in a newer building which is often difficult to find parking near at off peak hours, it doesn't give you the feeling of escape and relaxation until you are in the lobby of Oasis itself. In fact, I'm not sure that I ever totally got the feeling of relaxation and escape, but after an hour massage and 5 minutes in the steam room, I was pretty content. My massage guy...Mitch, said I should get a 90 min. massage for me athletes shoulders. I have to admit I don't think of myself as an athlete, but I know that swimming is turning me into a buff back lady! Um, enough about me......! The check in people are nice, helpful, and prompt. If it's your first time there, they give you a brief tour. The locker room/changing area is really nice, new still, and clean. The lockers are digital so you can set a pass code yourself. I feel like I've been too spoiled by spas in California and my wonderful esthetican and massage therapist at home to truly surrender to the hands of a strange man I've never met before, even though Mitch did a great job, but as far as Spa's go, this is probably one of your best bet's in Westchester. I'd like to give it a try in the summer and relax on that outdoor patio they have. read more

His massage was the worst of his life- my facial was painful. Only reason they get two stars is the swapped services were adequate. We will keep looking for our spa oasis. Ain't here!! 4.6 stars. Went on a completely random Tuesday evening. You'll just know when your body needs it. I looked online, called a few places and I was just lucky that they happened to have someone on call. Its on the fourth floor of an indoor plaza, fittingly and conveniently amid a GNC and NY Sports Club. So good, there's that atmosphere of health and making your body happy. Take the stairs or elevator up, depending on your ambition. Very nice entrance and boutique. Everything was displayed neatly and you actually feel like rumaging and taking something home with you that you don't necessarily need. The place is so simple and zen that you momentarily consider starting a collection of yoga tops and moroccan oil conditioners. A lovely, professional and well dressed woman gave me a robe and showed me into the locker area and explained where to find everything. So far it had the best layout of any spa I've been to. Appearance, cleanliness and practicality were all present. The stuffiness, apathy and pretention were not! It also was a mega bonus to be the ONLY person there that evening. Having a spa facility all to ones self is like masterbation for the soul. It really is. They have four showers if you need so you dont have to ask for a special room when calling, they have you covered ahead of time. The waiting room is nice and big with plenty of seats windows and magazines. Water, hot tea and even dried fruit and nuts to munch on. How thoughtful! I snuck a couple of prunes since no one was there to judge me. My massage therapist was nice. I did not mind at all that she was late but for the first half hour I could sense that she was preoccupied and still trying to shake off that rushed adrenaline. The room wasn't cramped which I loved. They didn't have tons of sheets or bolsters so if you like no fuss draping thats what you'll get. Massage was good and what I needed. Always seems to go by so fast. The descent back to the real world is so sobering. Everything feels colder after being rubbed for an hour and a half. I recommend sitting on their roof top to take it all in and meditate for a good bit. Then it's back to the waiting area for more water, or a shower or run back to your responsibilities if you must. You choose, and they don't seem to push you in either direction. Oasis is definately a place to heal. And make sure your therapist knows whether you want to feel relaxed or rejuvinated. I had a fantastic facial with Clara. She knows her stuff!! She knew exactly what my skin needed and gave me suggestions on how to target my problem areas. She has a bit of a strong hand so the scrub was really good! What I appreciated the most is that she gave me a full 60 minutes, actually a few minutes over 60, even though we started a little late. A girlfriend suggested my husband & I go to Oasis because we're in town, we drove up from VA and we're beat. We called to make a appointment, but showed up an hour early. We ended up relaxing in the eucalyptus steam rooms and then sitting in the relaxing room drinking chilled water. Also, while getting ready for the massage, the lady in the front was setting aside gifts to purchase when we were done. I had Max and I get massages regularly, but she was amazing!!! She apparently has magic hands -- very healing. I fell asleep a couple times and felt so relaxed. Her pressure was perfect and I felt like butta when I came out of there. My husband had the same compliments for his masseuse, Juan. Just what we needed after traveling in the car for hours. We are relaxed and will sleep like babies tonight! read more

This was truly the worst experience. Although the message therapists were amazing our check in experience and interaction with staff was very disappointing. When checking in with my mom for massages we were told that we owed a balance from a no show appointment THREE YEARS AGO. We were adamant that it was a mistake, and ask to confirm with a manager. In the meantime we went through with the services thinking this would be resolved by the time we finished with our messages. However, at check out I was charged $72 for a no show appointment, that was never scheduled, which I will be disputing with my credit card merchant. The stress of the experience totally defeated the purpose of going to a spa - would not recommend. read more

THIS REVIEW IS ABOUT BAD PEDICURE AREA (the pedicure technician is GREAT and very nice. I went to the location in Dobbs Ferry twice. It's pricey. As are spas. The first time i had a facial. Great facial. The second time I had a pedicure. I will never do that again. Here's the deal. The pedicurist did a GREAT job. It's NOT her fault. It's the facility. I can pay $20 for a mani/pedi, and sit in a wonderful massaging chair at my neighborhood place. At Oasis, you sit on a bench like sitting on bleachers. I'm tall so it was too short for underneath my legs. I'm also chubby, so it wasn't a comfortable seat. The pillows provided pushed me out too far. Terrible experience, I won't go back for a pedicure. read more

I was really happy the staff was able to accommodate a couples package on such short notice. I'm not a fan of the building's elevator (rickety) but it's not part of the spa establishment so you just have put your trust in the Lord when u take the ride to the 4th floor. The staff was very friendly and once u enter through their doors there's a serene ambiance with lovely natural scents from the shop's candles that seem to dance in the air. I received the Swedish massage and was pretty content with the service. I also had the basic 1 hr facial and I was also satisfied with it. 1 Update 7/18/2022 Bruce the business owner called me to apologize for my experience with his staff and asked me to give them another chance. He explained the situation & I appreciated that~Let me start by giving credit where credit is due. Jimmy,Jasmine and Gretchen were amazing!! They were professional and knowledgeable. They made me feel comfortable and at ease. The actual facility is clean and well maintained. I was given $540 package as a gift. I was told everything is paid for,all you have to do is give tip. I got there 2 minutes before my appointment and was greeted by a young african american guy with curly hair and valley girl accent. He said "Omg your services start right now" as if I was late. He rushed me to the back and quickly told me where I can change and put my stuff down, and proceeded to tell me to wait in the relaxation room. As this is my first time there I had no idea where that was or what exactly was going to happen next. I went back to the front to ask and the other girl receptionist she let me know that someone was coming to get me. The guy looked exasperated at me. I went back to the relaxation room and waited and then Jimmy came to get me. From that moment on the day was amazing and I had forgotten about Valley girl accent guy. All my services were done. I was super relaxed, happy and in a zen state. I went out to the front and asked for him to please write the names of the lovely people that made me feel special down on the tip envelopes. He looked at me annoyed and was about to tell me something and then said yes I can do that for you. I then asked how much each service was so I can calculate the tip for each person. When I was done I turned to leave. He said "umm excuse me you have to pay" I said O Im sorry, this was a gift and I was told everything was paid for in advance. He proceeded to tell me no and then that he doesn't see a card on file and ask me if I had a gift card. I said no and told him to look up the name of the person who gifted it to me.He said "o it was paid for another person not you. By this time I started to get annoyed and decided to call the person who gave it to me. He starts getting super annoyed and tells Valley girl accent guy this was set up way in advanced to avoid this. Then finally this kid says o it doesn't matter who's name is on it I can apply you gift card to her services today. My friend and I were totally angry now and my zen was gone. Why make a fuss about it if you can apply it to anyone?! O but wait there's more... He then says you still owe $20 for the extra service that isn't part of the package. To this I say "I didn't do any extra service", he said I did. My friend was still on speaker and says that he got a discount because he bought it during the father's day promotion and then he asked for the manager. They made me go through all this embarrassing stuff while other people were checking in. BTW it bother me how he spoke to me and then turned around and was pleasant to all the White ladies checking in. At one point I was waiting for the manager to come back to let me know if I was going to pay or not and start browsing the products they have for sale and he calls after me and says "um are you waiting for something else" I said i'm waiting for your manager. I guess he didn't want me to steal anything. I sat down and waited once she came back out she and him were whispering right in front of me. I waited while they finished talking about me in front of me and then this kid comes and wants me to fill paperwork I gave my name and phone and didn't fill anything else out. I told him I do not want to give anymore information. His treatment of the spanish female staff was also horrible and you can tell she didn't like him. He was calling her Maria and she was like thats not my name. Needless to say I will never be back and it's sad because prior to this I did enjoy myself. They need to be more organized, and give more training to the front staff. I gave two stars because of the services but if I could I would separate the front desk people and give the 0. read more

PROS: nice women's locker room; quite and large relaxation room; beautiful roof deck; quality towels and robes; sincere interest in doing a good job. CONS: massage not as great as expected (I'd grade it a C+) - masseuse seemed uncertain how give a 90 min massage - as though it was too long; no sauna or hot tub; steam room broken; ran out of towels quickly and I had to remind them to replace them; parking on weekend mornings is impossible (took us at least 15 minutes just to find a spot). I'm willing to give them another shot because the price is reasonable but next time I'll request Veronica or Amy, who I hear are good masseuses. read more

I haven't been back in awhile for good reason. They just confirmed why again today. I called on a Thursday afternoon to ask for an apt the same day or the earliest available. I was told there was no availability that same day but they could place me with someone tomorrow (which was Friday). I was told there was a 9:00am and 11:45am apt. I confirmed the 9am immediately. She explained they have a very strict cancellation policy (which I was aware of and never had to cancel before). Took my payment info over the phone and once again said "I want to make sure you understand you will be charge for this visit if you don't show or cancel as it's within less than the 24 hour window." Yes, I GET IT! She had a slightly rude and condescending tone. I show up at 8:45am the next morning to check in. I give my name and they can't find my apt - AT ALL. They finally look under my maiden name (which I explicitly told her not to use for booking). They found an apt for me on Sat. morning at 9am?! She confirmed she was the same person who made my apt over the phone and initially proceeded to tell me it was my confusion (again slightly rude tone). I said I didn't think that was possible because I would be out of town Sat. to Sun. so there was no way I would book for Sat. I also pointed out to her that she was the one who clearly stated (repeatedly) that I would be charged for the apt since it was within the 24 hour window period of cancellation! How could that be possible if my apt was Sat!!! She looked confused and finally apologized for making the mistake. She offered me no alternative or solution. Kind of just shrugged her shoulders. I was clearly upset and disappointed. I also had to get child coverage for this apt (if you're a parent, you'll understand). She said they would not charge for the apt. Oh geez, thank you and I would hope not! Management: please train your staff to have better customer service. Yes, mistakes happen but it's how your staff deals with people and the issues that leaves a lasting impression. In all my years, I've never had such terrible service at place of business like this. read more

This place is so serene and so peaceful and clean and warm and inviting. Perfect spa atmosphere. I love the locker rooms and plush robe and slippers. I felt like I was being treated like someone spending a lot of money when I really wasn't. I got a bikini wax and it was very reasonable! Cheapest I could find in my area. And yet it's the nicest spa I've been to by far! And the woman who did my wax was so friendly. I hate it when I go and the person doesn't speak to me. Like I'm doing something dirty. Not here. The overall experience at oasis spa was poor. I was given a robe which had holes in it and was extremely worn. The woman who took me into the locker room just gave me my robes, slippers and gave me instructions for the locker. Did not tell me where to go to meet the masseuse. The overall massage was below average. My masseuse name was Ming. I am currently pregnant and choice oasis for the cushion pregnancy pillow thing , it was hard to get into , i am in my 3rd trimester. I told Ming i wanted to focus on my lower back and calf muscles. She barely massaged my calf muscles. And the lower back part she did decent on but once again no focus there. The way she gave me a hand and foot massage was terrible! It was like she was scratching my hands and feet. Also, when i turned over she did not have the blanket laid correct because my feet were sticking out and at that point it was too late to fix. When i did turn over that was the worst part of the massage. She was awkwardly massaging behind my ears for far too long and overall i was not happy with her technique. I also asked to include the heavenly hand and foot treatment when i booked my appt which was neglected on the receipt Ming had and did not happen . Would not go back or recommend to anyone . But decided to treat my mom to an early Mothers day gift and booked an appointment days in advance for a Massage and as we are driving there they called saying there was a mix up in the Scheduling. Great massages & relaxing ambience. I'm reviewing their spray tans. I get a spray tan a few times a year prior to vacation. I am very disappointed with the one I received from Oasis today. I requested a dark look as if I had just been away - and the tan I received is barely noticeable. I was specifically looking to have tan lines covered for a dress I need to wear and the spray tan did not even do that. This was my second time going to Oasis for a tan - the first time I was also disappointed as it was just as unnoticeable. I gave them a second chance since the first time I did not request a "dark tan". Never again. read more

My experience was wonderful and my service was great. I had an amazing 2 hour massage with Mary. I was EXTREMELY IMPRESSED by the extent of the protocols that Oasis put in place to assure my safety and comfort level. From the moment I arrived the cleanliness and the appointment to detail at this spa was noticeable. Oasis had a newly installed UV Ventilation system to assure their spa has fresh clean air, the slippers given to me we're wrapped and sealed and my robe was new. Both the locker room and the relaxation room were prepared for social distancing. While waiting for my service the amenities such as the fruit and nuts were offered in sealed individual packs and bottled water was served. All of this gave me huge peace of mind knowing that my safety was paramount. It all just reinforced how professional this spa operated. It is no wonder Oasis Day Spa is rated Best of New York.
