I almost never get manicures, and I only stopped by this place because I was in the area and needed to kill some time. I was excited to see that their manicures cost only $25, but... you get what you pay for. There were bubbles in my polish on several of the fingers (see my photo attached), and the polish doesn't cover the whole nail on some of the nails. I could have done a better job myself at home! Sure, it feels nice to get pampered (the hand massage was my favorite part), but if you're looking for a good, standard manicure, this isn't the place. read more

They did a great job! The space is really nice and definitely has a relaxing atmosphere. They have a great color selection, and the pedicure was thorough and felt wonderful. They also asked me when I sat down if I'd care for anything to drink, which was nice. I only have two complaints: the cost and the lack of the post-pedicure shoulder rub. They charge $15 for a 10 minute rub here if you want one, which is fine, but I'm accustomed to a brief (1-3 minute) shoulder rub after a spa service. Also, $33 for a standard pedicure is bonkers. They also never asked if I'd like to add tip to my charge, so then I had to navigate the awkwardness of not having cash on me. It's 2019. I don't carry cash. Thankfully, Venmo was an option, but my nail tech didn't seem thrilled about it. I'll only come back here if I'm short on time. read more

I am not writing this for customers but for the employees to recognize that even though it's a beautiful nail salon and the customer service is amazing you cannot let your clients walk out like this. My nails are uneven out of shape and they keeps flaking. When I get my nails done they usually last me 3 weeks, 2 weeks if they did a horrible job but these won't even last me a week. I wanted to come back and ask them to be fixed but honestly the trust is gone. I am not writing this to bash your business or anything but to bring to your attention to pay attention to details. Nails are not cheap and money does not come easy, so if you offer a service make sure you are able to do that service. I would have patiently waited for someone else to do my nails because we walked in there 3 and only 1 of us had a proper nail set. read more

I went back to get my nails done for the first time in quarantine, Im glad I chose this place.Super safe! Clean, temperature checks, guests hands were being sanitized and then washed, everyone wore masks and there was plexiglass separating mine and my manicurists faces! The actual nails were perfect. I got gel on top of acrylic and they were still not gloopy and thick. My nail tech, Bella, laid the acrylic so perfectly and meticulously that she barely had to file to shape. And you know sometimes there are little bumps of product under the nails or at the edge? I had none of that at all. No exaggeration, she gave me the best acrylic set of my life. read more

I've been living in Rosslyn for a year now but have continued to return to my regular salon in downtown DC for my nails. This time around I decided to support a business in the neighborhood so I chose Oasis Nail & Spa for a pedicure. Upon entering the salon, I was surprised at how crowded it was for a COVID Saturday. When they led me to the chair, I felt more comfortable because they were seating patrons one chair apart from each other. The pedicure massage chair I got was barely working so that was disappointing. The most disappointing part was the nail technician clipping my cuticle very roughly. I felt the pinch and asked her to check if I was bleeding but she just stared at me and my toes blankly. It's been two full days and my toe still hurts from whatever she did. I'm praying it doesn't get infected. Other than that, there was really nothing memorable or special here. I'm going to keep exploring for a nail place in Rosslyn. read more

UPDATE: I walked in today to inform them about my chip nail and the lady at the front was extremely condescending and rude. She informed me that "nail polish chips within 3-5 days" yes, those were her words. I have been getting my toes down for decades at numerous establishment and have never had nail polish chip within 3-5 days. Maybe 2 weeks. I will never step foot at this establishment. I hate leaving bad reviews especially for a small, local business. I went here less than a week ago and my nail polish is already chipping off. It is frustrating spending $45 for a service that typically lasts for 3-4 weeks. The nail technician who was doing my pedicure didn't even shape my nails straight as one of toenails looks crooked. On top of that, I don't even think she put a clear protective coat, hence the chipping. I will not be back! read more

This Nail Spa never fails to do my nails but the reason why I'm leaving a 1 star rating it's because of the Nail Technician. At first, they complimented my eyebrows cause it's thick (yes, they. Two of them are talking to me) then this other nail tech who was doing my mom's nails told me that "put it on your body" (basically telling me that my body should be thick instead of my eyebrows) I am skinny by the way. I felt offended but I tried ignoring them. They won't stop questioning how skinny I am and asked me if I eat foods. I said yeah but I don't eat that much.. and she was like if you go here you need to eat cause we all eat. Like I care. Then lastly, my mom's nail tech asked me if I work or I go to school, I said I work and she was like "how can you have the energy to work?" I was in the verge to tell them to shut up but they might mess up our nails. I was so pissed. And oh, one last thing. I told them that I go to the gym to help me gain weight/muscles and they were like "no you don't need to go to the gym, you need to eat" I was like these people don't know anything about gossiping and being nosy as hell. I don't know if I am coming back here or not. To the owner, please teach your workers to At least keep their mouth shut cause we just want to get our nails done and we don't need criticism from your nail techs. This place does some of the best, longest lasting pedicures in the area. I do not live anywhere near this nail salon, but I've been going out of my way to keep coming here for about 2 years. The pedicures are just that good. I never have an appointment and they've always been able to take me immediately as a walk in. I don't get pedicures often, so when I do, I want them to last at least a month, and I usually need some legit attention to my cuticles and stubborn big toe nails that always threaten to grow inward. These nail technicians are like surgeons. So thorough and yet gentle. (I say this as I'm currently getting a pedicure with Lily and am amazed at her skill). I've never done gel and I don't typically get manicures, so I can't speak to those services, but the pedicure is top notch. read more

Worst experience, my tech was very rude, he did not confirm how I wanted my nails before starting and got upset when I corrected him while doing my nails. I asked a question and he ignored me. He was huffing and puffing then speaking Vietnamese to his colleague. All the employees had negative attitudes. Do not go here! Today I visited and I asked if someone could do a simple nail trim as I had just had back surgery and can't sit long or bend. It wasn't busy and so I was sent to a chair. I had to ask the technician to remove my socks (remember I said I can't bend), and she then did a quick cursory job. That was ok - I didn't need more. But then she walked away leaving me socks and shoeless. When I asked her kindly if she could help with my sock, she huffed and picked them up and threw them at me. Then I asked for my shoes - same response. I walked barefoot to the front and waited to pay. She came, took my $20 and then pocketed it. Then I waited barefoot while the other techs looked on and did nothing. One said ... "we can't do that" I had to call my husband to come and help. Not only is this bad service (I have been going to this salon for over 5 years) but also just unkind to someone with a disability. If they can't help they should have said so when I came in and ASKED if they could help me. they have lost me as a customer. rating - 0/10. read more

Oasis will not be getting my business anymore. Extremely hit or miss place. I've gotten my gel manicures done here and they were okay, but because of my my recent experience here I will not be coming back. First of all, I was provided with such careless customer service. I walked in to get a simple acrylic set and wanted to clarify the difference between the pink acrylic set and the regular acrylic set with my technician. She didn't answer my question, but decided to get agitated by it and spent the rest of the session giving me such horrible attitude. I understand everyone has a bad day, but she can't be taking it out on a client. Secondly, the set itself came out horrible. She was extremely rough with my hands, kept burning me with her filing. The nail polish were dropped on my hand and the end result was plain disappointing. The acrylic set ended up being so thick and uneven with messy nail polish. read more

Attractive newish looking salon. I was happy with the quality of the work, which was limited to a spa pedicure. The service cost $60, and I feel that it was money well spent. My nail technician, Lee, took her time and did a good job. I must admit, she was not super friendly, and I observed her being quite unfriendly to another customer. The customer was asking to purchase a bottle of Prosecco, the availability of which seemed to be advertised in the front of the salon. Lee glared at her and exclaimed "We don't have it!" I thought she could have provided a much friendlier response to the customer's request. Some of the other technicians seemed a lot friendlier than mine, so I guess the level of service largely depends on who you get paired with. read more

Never going back! I went to this establishment to get a pedicure and a full acrylic set of nails. My tech proceeded to pile layers of gel polish on my toes. It became too bubbly for my liking, but I shrug it off and let it go. Figured I may like it later. Then things went further down hill. While getting my nails done I had to repeatedly critique my nail tech about things I did not like. Eventually I told her I would like to speak to a manager because I really did not like my nails. This is before we even got to the polish. She proceeds to tell me she can fix it. She tried, but kept failing. I said to her I know you are trying but this is not good. She says ok how about I give you a discount and you keep them. Repeatedly I told her no, but she was consistent. Eventually she said ok how about you keep the nails for free and just pay for your pedicure. I gave in and said ok. She finished my nails. STILL I DIDNT LIKE THEM. Get to the register and the manager is literally trying to charge me for the nails. Im showing everything that is wrong with these nails and now people are starting to notice the confrontation. I told a group of employees I would rather pay to remove them then to keep them or pay for them. You could literally see they were uneven and badly filed. Not to mention my ring finger was in pain from her continuously trying to file the side of my nails. I sat back down at the table and was ready to have them remove the nails because I was very serious and upset at this point. Eventually the nail tech told me I could leave with the nails on and I paid for my pedicure only (which honestly I wanted to take off too). So now I'm leaving this establishment with an ugly pedicure and fullset. read more

They are rude especially Jane and Susan (which I don't believe is her real name - she ignored me when I asked her her name so I believe she went with the first one). Anyways, I am a communicator, so when I say there is NO communication barrier - there ISN'T. They speak their own language and look at you and continuously talk bad about you.
