Unless you want your toes to be rubbed raw and then get a sub-par pedicure, don't come here! My little toe is bleeding from where the lady rubbed or filed my skin raw. I work out every day and the burn while in shoes is terribly annoying and painful. Something I didn't need. UPDATE: after manager called to apologize, told me I'd get a refund, I walked in today for my refund and the technician attacked me in front of everyone. Said I was ruining her reputation and that she didn't do the damage. Well, who did? In addition, it took about three days to scab but my leg was also rubbed raw and now I have scabs (seen in pictures). The manager is great (I got a refund and tip back) she has apologized and was making it all right but the technician doesn't understand business, customer care, or how to do a simple pedicure. I'm new here so I'm looking for a good nail salon. The sign said they talk walk-ins so I came in. The salon was quiet with your typical background music. The people at the counter referred me to their website for a list of services. I asked for the Signature Manicure and Deluxe Spa Pedicure. I wasn't paying attention the entire time so I'm not sure whether my nail tech scrubbed my feet with the purple thingy or the shredder thingy. The foot massage was good, but the paint job was less than subpar. The manicure was fine, until I asked about the paraffin. The nail tech said it costs $10. The site states it's included in the Signature Manicure price. She called another lady and the lady said, "We don't do that anymore since the pandemic. It's no longer included in the service, but you can add on." I'm confused because if it isn't a part of the service offered, the site should be updated. I didn't argue though, I just said "okay." The other nail tech walked off and said "if she wants it, she needs to just pay the $10 or don't get it. It's only $10." It irritated me because it isn't about the money, it's the principle. It's false advertisement because the website shows it is included, but you're telling me "now" it's a separate add-on. If it weren't included, I would have added it but I won't because to me this is shady. The paint job on my nails is okay. I went with gel, "Pink Sparkles." She painted around my skin some and didn't do the paint correction thingy, but I'm just ready to go so it is what is. I'm offended by the lady's comment and inconsistent service listing, so it threw me for a loop. I was debating on returning after the pedicure issue because I honestly don't know whether I received the full service. I debated on coming back to try it again to see if it was missed. But with the manicure fiasco, I'm good. It sucks because it's conveniently located but meh. I am huge on customer service and business integrity. To miss the mark on both in one visit just isn't something I can look beyond. Update: I came to the counter to pay for my subpar services. Although the service could have been better, I was going to leave a small tip. Well, there is no tip option for credit cards. Not my problem, it's your problem. I don't carry cash for safety reasons. The lady says, "excuse me, you need to leave me a tip. I take cash or Venmo." I was so thrown off at her audacity...I don't "need" to leave anything. I responded, "I don't carry cash and I don't have Venmo." She rolled her eyes at me so hard and didn't bother to say "okay thank you, have a nice day." She instantly stopped talking to me and acted like I no longer existed. I certainly won't come back here. I'm good on crappy customer service, subpar services, and false advertising. read more

Update: I'm changing my review from four to three stars because I've been here several times now and the manicures are never consistent and definitely not worth $40. Sometimes a gel manicure takes 40 minutes and the technician is very meticulous, but other times they rush and I'm done in 20 minutes and my manicure is subpar. I went before vacation one time for a gel manicure and pedicure and while the pedicure was ok (except she made my nails uncomfortably short) the gel manicure chipped later that night. I went back the next morning and they fixed it for free, but then another nail chipped that night again! I couldn't go back because I was leaving for vacation and all my nails slowly starting chipping until they all were all off less than one week later. I won't be going back. I really enjoy going to this salon to get my nails done and have never had a bad experience. The technicians are all friendly and the salon is very clean. They offer a variety of beverages to sip on while you have your services done and the manicures and pedicures are thorough. The first time I went there I got a regular pedicure and the second time I went there I got a regular pedicure and a gel manicure. I give it four stars because the prices are a bit high. I walked in a little bit after opening on a Tuesday and was immediately tended to. I was really impressed with the salon for a variety of reasons: + A virtual wall of color options + The place was visually very clean and chic -- this is the perfect mid-priced salon to catch up with friends or gorge on some celebrity gossip rags which is exactly what I did + My technician was very professional, friendly, gentle and detail oriented. He wasn't too chatty which allowed me to catch up on so much needed me time. I asked for some nail art and the dude totally free styled it with very steady hands. I was impressed! The only reason I am docking a star is because the nail tools that he used on me did not come from a sterilized bag and when he started cutting my cuticles I could see OPC (other people's cuticles) stuck in the back of the clipper and quite honestly was a little grossed out. I didn't want to make a scene but hopefully the business reads this reviews and takes this feedback into consideration. If I could give this 0 stars I would. It's so sad in 2022 that a minority company could be so racist. Yes we are in Virginia but this is UNACCEPTABLE! I left this place crying from anger. I came in one day before to check it out to see if this was an acceptable nail salon. I was told the total and everything. I came in to do my nails the next day and the lady completely switched up. There were serval people available to do my nails but none of them actually wanted to do my nails. She finally asked on of the other girls to do what I asked but she was not happy to be servicing me. When a group of white women walked in they jumped up happy to service them! This is completely unacceptable. I did not get serviced at this place and will be following up with everyone I need to. The spaciousness and low noise level of this nail salon/spa makes this place a pleasure to go to. One doesn't feel crowded and rushed. The atmosphere feels a bit more elegant with the conversation piece chandelier and the self-conscious attempt to a stylish interior. I've always had solid mani-pedis here. Finally made my way into this salon after 3 years in Rosslyn. Pass by it all the time and today I decided to try a pedicure here. I am an amputee first off, so most places give me half off the service. But here I was offered 25% off which wasn't bad either. The tech I had was amazing, she gave me the best foot/calf massage I'd had in quite some time. I added on an extra 10 mins because I work standing up all day(nurse life). Wine! They give you wine. I love nail places that do this. Granted you only get one glass, but still, it's such a nice gesture and allows you to enjoy your relaxation to the fullest. I came here on my lunch break with some co-workers, and I unfortunately didn't have enough time to get my usual over-the-top acrylics. I settled for a gel mani, which was $38 (reasonable) and included a paraffin wax. It came out well - no complaints. Not giving five stars this time because the true measure of a salon is how well they can do acrylics, and I didn't get a chance to gauge their talents in that area today. So me and my cousin came here for Valentine's Day treatments we got a regular pedicure which was $50 and it had all the basics of the spa feeling. It comes with a sugar scrub some lotion warm towels it was really nice. I also got a full set. I didn't catch the person who did my nails names but her touch was so gentle I almost forgot I was getting my nails done. And then she was so patient with me when I described how I wanted my nails because I did not have a picture for reference and she did a good job with my verbal description. Highly recommend Oasis Nail Spa. They stand by their work. This week I had a Dip Mani at Oasis but after I left I thought my nails were too long. Returned today and asked for a regular pedicure and if they could shorten my nails. They were happy to make me happy. While one technician shortened my nails LILI worked on my toes. I say worked because that's what she did. She worked on my Ingrown toe nails. Ladies I get pedicures because yes they are relaxing but I also get pedicures because I have large feet and ingrown toe nails that make my feet ache!!! I came back and had a different woman who literally mocked me in English to her friend (who she was nonstop talking loudly with the whole time) when I asked for a different color between my toes and my nails. Top 3 worst nail experiences of my entire life. When I first walked in I asked if they had time for a dip mani and regular pedi and they said yes. I asked the wait and they said "not long." It was over 30 minutes. This didn't upset me that much as it was a bit expected. Pedi was okay, but not very spa-like and felt like it was mostly to get polish on my toes. The dip mani was by far one of the worst I have ever had. Nails are crooked, uneven, bubbly, and thick. Gunk still under my nails and I was knicked on literally every nail using the automatic filer. Nail tech left me to do a wax after I already had to wait 30 minutes just to get to a chair. Honestly, I wouldn't have minded this either if my nails looked anywhere near decent. Please do not waste your money here, my nails haven't looked worse since my first acrylic set at 15 years old. read more

I got a dip manicure and regular pedicure on 10/13/19 and am so disappointed with my dip manicure. I've never had a dip manicure last for such a short amount of time, but this one has not only chipped on my left thumb, but cracked on my left pinky and right thumb within 9 days. My right thumb was also done so incorrectly and is wavy and bumpy. Unfortunately, I didn't notice that issue until it was too late so couldn't ask for it to be redone while I was still at the spa. If I was hard on my nails, I wouldn't be so disappointed. But I've had dip manicures last 3 weeks without an issue, so it's clearly the way they did it here. I had a superb, $35 basic pedicure today with Natalie. I appreciated what was included in that price. Nice chairs and atmosphere. Bright/lots of windows. Water was warm. Great foot exfoliation with a chemical/then metal scraper. Basic, scented scrub on the legs and feet. Basic foot massage. Hot towel. Could tell they do a great job keeping their tools sanitized and the bowl had a disposable liner. I brought my own polish -- looks great. Not trimmed too short - no jabs or pain. Nice place to sit while your toes dry. This is my 3rd pedicure here -- efficient too with my time - 45 min tops - and they haven't skipped steps which I appreciate. With regard to the reviews on racism and feeling uncomfortable as a POC (I'm White to be clear) -- that's unacceptable and I'm very concerned to hear about this treatment. I can share I went/still go to Divine Nail Spa on Glebe for 5 years until Covid. Cindy is still there and is great. Their customer base always seems diverse and often I've seen men of color getting basic pedicures. My problem with Divine is - hard to stop by - they are typically very busy on weekends, etc.. This used to be my go-to spot when they first opened, but I feel like it's gone downhill some in recent years. It's still clean and quick, but it used to seem a little more upscale, somehow. I get gel manicures and sometimes they're great and sometimes they're not. Once I went back after just a few days because there was a big chip, and my last gel mani lasted 5 days before I started getting tiny chips on the tips. I had asked the lady if she thought she should "wrap the tips" with the polish but she said I wouldn't need it. Unfortunately I just use my hands a lot, I guess. At other salons I consistently get at least 2 weeks out of a gel mani, sometimes even 3. If you're not super picky/particular, it's still a solid option and usually there's not a wait in the evenings. read more

Then while doing my pedicure she cut off half of my pinky toe nail and my nail bled for the entirety of the appointment. I then when to do my gel manicure, she did the wrong color. When I told her the color was wrong she got so angry and defensive. Another woman came in and ended up finishing my nails. This place has aged over the years, and could use a deep clean. Ok mani/pedi though I did have a few rough edges on my fingernails that I noticed after I left. Pedicure was solid. My experience at Oasis Nail was just as the name suggests, an oasis - a very much needed escape. I left feeling pampered and relaxed from head to toe. The wine/complimentary beverages are a luxurious touch though I only opted for water. I called to make an appointment Monday morning for later that afternoon - upon arrival, the salon wasn't terribly packed. I counted a total of 5 people (including myself) getting pedicures and a handful others getting manicures. I had virtually no wait to get started. My nail technician, Wendy, did a beautiful job on my matte, dark taupe pedi. I'm in love with the color and my toes are now ready for sandal season. It's been about two weeks now and my gel pedicure still looks as nice as the day I left the salon (will update later on how long it actually lasted). Overall, very happy with my experience and I will definitely be back. Pricing-wise, Oasis is competitive/if not lower compared to other salons in the area so I definitely think it's one of the better deals. read more

The decor and service areas set up were not only gorgeous, they feature an extremely efficient use of space and tools. I mean, this place ran like a well oiled engine! My nail technician, Kelly (I think was her name), was super professional and gave me a beautiful French pedi and French gel manicure all within the span of 1:20. I've had a lot of bad manicures. This time I found a great place. Had a really nice mani/pedi. Would definitely go again!

Disgusting place with rude employees. This is a factory for nail service with girls who either do not have licenses or are 100% inexperienced. In fact I just got my nails done and called to speak with the manager who apparently doesn't work most of the time. The floor and facility is filthy - I will be calling the health department, especially after viewing the tools that are not clean. The girl totally ruined my nails which will now take me a good 2 to 3 months to grow. She took the coarsest of files and "buffed" rigorously on my already thinned out nails. I have scratch marks all over my the top of my nails. She also removed my nail polish and kept the acetone on my fingers for close to 30 to 45 minutes. When I asked her to remove it "she said it's not ready". I ended up walking out with unpainted nails and totally disappointed. There was no point in finishing anything bc the attempted service was horrible. read more

One of my BFFs and I came here under her recommendation because she lived a few blocks away from Oasis. She wanted to treat herself to a luxurious and relaxing afternoon because it was her birthday. I came along to accompany her because what isn't more fun than a girl's day together? Since we booked our appointment on a Friday afternoon, we were lucky to not be waiting like most walk-in customers. Oasis has an incredibly wide-range of colors and excellent nail polish products, ranging from OPI to Essie. Finding a color was slightly difficult because there were so many customers gawking at colors and not really moving along or making space for other customers (i.e. me) to pick a color, too. When my friend and I were seated, we enjoyed our massage chairs and waited for our manicurists to arrive. We were pampered and given our choice of drinks -she got white wine and I got a coke. My friend ultimately decided to get a more luxurious pedicure spa treatment, which got her manicurist to come and work on her earlier than me. My manicurist was running behind by 20-30 minutes. During my pedicure, my manicurist did an underwhelming job. She didn't massage me at all - just rubbed a bunch of fancy exfoliating scrubs on my legs and that's about it. Truthfully, I don't like people holding my feet because I'm ticklish- but she was grabbing the center of my foot with her thumb. She rushed through the whole process and even left some of my old nail polish (which was purple) behind on my nails. I only noticed this after I had left. My manicure was even worse. My manicurist breezed through the entire manicure, which only made me more agitated. It's one thing to follow all the steps: cut, trim, shape the nails, moisturize the cuticles, dip the hands in paraffin wax, pay, then paint--- but because of her speed, she left some of my cuticle skin uncut. I brought this up to the manager once she had moved onto a new client. The manicurist came back and scolded "what happened?" I just showed her the finger (and yes, literally it was the middle finger) where the cuticle was left uncut. Again, she didn't bother massaging me for a few seconds like many other places do... so I knew something was off about this whole experience. I'd personally say that the manager was a sweetheart and really wanted all our customers to be treated well. However, due to the spike in customers on a Friday afternoon, it was expected that these manicurists had to pick up their speed and get the job done. But the job wasn't done well at the cost of $120. (I paid both my mani-pedi for $48, and the rest of whatever my friend had gotten as a treat!) Be wary that this place is very expensive, and if you want to treat yourself to a relaxing experience, then this isn't it. However, I do see the appeal that it's right off a popular street - Wilson Blvd- and therefore it's convenient. But don't let convenience rip you off of your hard-earned money. (P.S. Paying with credit card doesn't include tip. You have to pay in cash if you want to tip your manicurists. My friend helped me tip my manicurist after we were all done. However, this probably could have explained why my manicurist felt like I was cutting her short.) read more

I noticed this place while going to idiot my esthetician next door. One day I decide to step in and try them out. It was around 6p on a Friday and it wasn't crowded. There have tons of nail polish colors to choose from for gel and regular polish. The pedicure area is very clean. The pedicure and manicure was very relaxing. The staff is super friendly. This is my favorite place to get a gel manicure and regular pedicure- but my experience has varied widely based on who was doing my nails. I really like Ann and Lee- my gel manicure has lasted 16+ days when done by each of them. I've also had my eyebrows waxed once, and they did a nice job. The salon is large, clean, and nicely decorated, and they offer wine, soda, water, or coffee for each client. I usually get OPI and they have a great selection. They also have wifi, and the password is taped on to all of the pedicure chairs- a nice touch. My bad experiences have all been with the same technician, a young woman who peeled off the remainder of my gel manicure with her own fingernails, instead of using a tool. Gross! I now make appointments specifically with technicians who I like and trust. A pro tip, if you're getting Gel- colors that have a little shimmer to them last a lot longer and tend not to lift at the cuticles. Creme colors are just tougher to bond sometimes and will be more likely to peel off if your nails get really wet. read more

This nail salon was just okay - I came here because it was convenient, and they had a lot of people working here, so getting a space for a manicure was easy. I needed gel removal and a manicure, which totaled $22, which seemed pretty fair. Normally, the gel removal is $10, and a manicure is normally $17, but if you combine the two services they knock $5 off which is standard. The salon itself is pretty big, with a lot of stations for pedicures and manicures. The gel removal process was quick and the manicurist knew what she was doing. I was happy with the selection of colors that they had (for gel and for normal nail colors) - they seemed to have more than the average salon. I liked how she shaped my nails but when it came down to the painting of the nails, it seemed a bit rushed. The coats of polish were also pretty thick, and despite letting my nails dry for almost an hour at the salon, I still got smudges and nicks on my nails which shouldn't happen if the polish was applied properly and not too thick. She didn't seem to spend that long cleaning or buffing my nails, and didn't massage my hands or arms like other places. I did find a special posted on their website for 15% off their services until the end of the month, but when I tried to use this, they gave me some excuse that I couldn't use it because I hadn't spent enough (there was nothing on the special that said such a thing). All in all, this was fine in a pinch but I didn't really love the service here and the manicure felt a bit sloppy. I'd come back here again if I really needed to get my nails done last-minute and they had availability, but if I had to pay $17 for a manicure, I'd be disappointed in what I got.
