We stayed at the Oasis RV Resort and Cottages in Durango during a trip through Colorado in Sept of 2024. Our 43 foot coach had difficulty leveling on the steep rock/dirt site they gave us and when we were ready to leave, the staff would not let us choose a path out that would keep the coach out of the trees. Instead they routed us around the edge of the property through treed canopies that our 13'4 clearance could not get through and caused a series of scratches down the top of the front cap and sides of the coach. The park was super tight for larger rigs. We would not recommend putting a larger bus on this campground. read more

We tried to camp here but it was a no. It was 47$ I think to have a tent spot. I've we got to it spot it was so very tiny and completely rocked! We couldn't even get the tent in the ground, then our tent broke. The lady was really nice and refunded our money. There was alot of nice things to do there for fun but it wasn't nice to camp at:( maybe they'll get rid of the rocks and put dirt on the tent spots to help campers! read more

We've been here twice--last year, also for Memorial Day weekend, and this year. Last year things were great. We missed the Duck Races, but enjoyed pool, mini-golf, and pickleball. We skipped the food, having brought our own "camping" fare to eat and the kids wouldn't let us miss roasting hot dogs. We got their propane fire pit--I believe it's $25 for the pit and a full tank of propane. Nothing horribly special about it, but we enjoyed sitting around it and cooking hotdogs and marshmallows. There's no wood fire allows for safety reasons, so this made a great 2nd place. The folks there were very nice. They check you in and lead you to your spot and help you get you larger campers in if you need the help. We didn't have to leave the vehicle. The campground was clean and they were on top of all issues right away. They seemed like a group of friends or family taking care of their own property. We had a great time. This year we returned and things seemed more streamlined. Check in was quicker, they checked on us to make sure we were satisfied, everyone was very friendly. The pool was open--while not an Olympic sized pool, there was plenty of room for about a dozen kids and adults to be playing games and splashing around while many more (including myself) sat around the side of the pool in provided lounge chairs. We were told they were bought by a new group, and this group made some positive changes. First they started carrying a new pizza (Hunt Brothers, I think?) and for 12 bucks you get a pizza with as many toppings as you want with no extra charge--only charge is extra cheese. They were made quickly and delivered to our camp site. They also have a breakfast area with standard breakfast fare, as well as a pie/icecream shop in the main office. They have tent camping, Pull-through, Cabins, and big rig RV parking. Anything you need is available on site. They have laundry and showers, water, propane, and of course all the hookups you need. The new business that owns them seems to want to keep what worked and improve what needed improvement. They actually asked us how things were, what we thought about the changes (they knew we were there the previous year) and asked for suggestions on improvements. This wasn't the kind of corporate buyout where they try to streamline and skimp on everything, maximizing profits while running the business into the ground. Either the new owners genuinely care, or they put people in charge that genuinely care, and give them the authority to fix things. The only employee whose name we remember was Deborah, and she was very friendly and really peppy. She also happened to be the female employee mentioned below. The best part was during the duck races (an event we're told they hold on holidays where you can "buy" a numbered rubber ducky to race down the creek with everyone else's--the money goes to local charities--they said this time was the local Humane Society) Deborah was dancing around, quacking and flapping her "wings" getting everyone else involved while cheering on their own ducks. The race may have only lasted a couple of minutes, but it was a blast. You did not have to buy in to watch--and the ducks go fast! We sent our daughter to buy a few and were told they were already sold out! Pickleball was hard to get ahold of this year--the campgrounds weren't full, but there were some larger families that were quicker than us. We were able to get pool easily. They also put on movies outdoors (though covered). While we were there, they were all kid-friendly movies. I only remember one night was Finding Nemo. We plan on checking out one of their large cabins next year with more family. read more

The park the check-in and everything went great for our stay! I would only have a couple of comments. The water pressure was very disappointing. Very low for using an in house, washer , or shower a shower and then the spots are a bit narrow for big rigs. Was great for our stay.! read more

I wish I could give more than five stars! We arrived late on a Saturday (around 6 pm, after office hours). We were greeted warmly and escorted to our beautiful site. The man who escorted us even moved the picnic table to help prevent any damage to our rig. Our site was perfectly clean, and it offered a view of Durango and the mountains. The entire park is super clean and well-maintained. The sites are large and offer a buffer between each other. A dog park and a creek are also great amenities. The staff is super kind and friendly, and the entrance is super cute with lots of flowers. The location is great, as one is easily able to go to Durango, Purgatory, Pagosa Springs, or wherever you like. The full hookups gave us no issues, and we were very happy with our entire stay! read more

We love staying here in our RV. The sites are pretty level and clean. Our kids love the pool, mini golf and the playground. The staff is friendly and welcoming. They were willing to work with us to switch our spot in the middle of our stay (we wanted to move to a spot with more shade). We love coming to Durango and this is one of our favorite RV resorts. read more

Super cute, clean and the staff is wonderful. Just ask them about things to do in the area. We LOVED driving to Silverton and then on to Ouray. It was a BEAUTIFUL drive. Took lots of pictures. Everywhere we went was dog friendly which makes it nice for us. Would definitely come back to Oasis and all the beautiful places we visited in the Durango area. read more

Cutest little spot! Great way to start our summer RV vaca after leaving Flagstaff heading for Pagosa Springs. We got a 2 room (not bedroom like I thought) cabin for the three of us. It was charming and right on the stream. BYO-bedding BTW. There was a pool, doggie run, great store, super friendly people, especially the guy with Boston accent (witness protection???...lol, just kidding) We would DEFINITELY come back! read more

Very pleased with our stay in Lodge #1! Upon arrival, it was extremely clean, an extra plus during these Covid times. One suggestion for management: ensure the volume of bath towels and linens aligns with the number of guests. Our reservation was for 2 adults and 1 child yet there were only 2 bath towels and no linens for the futon. The location is perfect for trips into downtown Durango, Silverton and Ouray. Highly recommend this resort. We will definitely be back! read more

Just got home after 9 nights at Oasis. Had a great time. We were only supposed to stay 7 but decided to stay another 2 nights. The office staff was very helpful during what we know was a busy weekend. Even though we had to relocate,we liked the first spot we were in but the second spot was even better. Came back for a second visit! We love the camping cabins here. My kids love the rec room, playground, pool, mini-golf and restaurant. So much for them to do here. Only negative is the camp host in the cowboy hat riding around on a golf cart all day is a grumpy ol fart. Was not one bit friendly and wouldn't sell us propane because "he had too much to do" When we asked where we could get it in town he said he said "don't know." read more

Spent three nights here in an RV site during an early June heat wave. The 30A hookups and swimming pool saved our bacon! This place has probably the cleanest, nicest bathrooms and private showers I've seen after years of RVing. This is NOT a resort. Pictures of the area are misleading. 30 amp slots were minimal. Two areas. Left and right of the completely dried up stream (where duck racing is advertised). Best area is on the same side as the check in building and store. Worst area is to the left and across the "stream". It was like going to the penalty box. Spacing was so close together. No Colorado beauty to see or experience. All one sees is the vehicles and RV trailers jammed together Lots of rules. Gravel sites were dusty. If you choose to book here, call and make them explain the different areas and where they plan to put you. read more

We were travelling with 3 rigs and Durango was one of our destinations for River Rafting, Zip Lining and touring Mesa Verde National Park. We found this campground to be a perfect location for all of those activities. Friendly staff who were very accommodating. We stayed here four nights and totally enjoyed the amenities. They had a Rubber Duckie race, breakfasts on the weekends and movies every night. The pool was immaculate and two of our grandchildren really enjoyed it. I would highly recommend this park if you are going to be visiting Durango. read more

Awesome staff ! The spot was nice but what really makes this place great is the staff. As soon as we drove in we were greeted and taken to our site. The amenities were top notch, breakfast with 4 different types of pancakes in the morning, pizza delivery right to your RV site, large pool, mini golf, a creek for our dogs to dip their paws in. The grounds were impeccably clean, The managers were always driving around in their golf cart checking on things. Everything was well organized. We want to give a special thanks to Jesse who showed us to our site, gave us pancakes in the morning, and even delivered our pizza. He was very friendly and went above and beyond. Paid just under $100 per night for a narrow sight that was not level. Had to put an extra stool under the step just to get in and out. They also do not allow wood fires as a policy but would be happy to rent you a gas fire pit ($20) and sell you propane. The pool didn't have any water in it and the game room was locked. Why go camping. You pay hotel prices for a non camping experience. I am very disappointed and will not come back. read more

The RV park is beautiful and well designed. There are some great amenities like a swimming pool and a lot of places to play. However, they are quite possibly the Crabbiest people I've ever encountered. We had to leave a day early because my daughter and two sons had COVID with fever over 103 and they were angry that we left and asked for a refund of one day. I get that people claim to have Covid when they don't have Covid and I'm sure that's annoying. But the problem is if you don't let people leave when they do have Covid you can be known as the Covid RV spot. I had three tests that I brought along for Covid and two of the three were positive. So some people have Covid and they just couldn't plan for that 48 hours in advance. I will never stay here again. If you do stay here, just plan for poor customer service. read more

This is NOT a resort so don't be fooled. The park was packed and the sites are very close together. It is nice and shady with a pretty creek that runs through it. Large dog park was a plus. But it is very pricey! It used to be a KOA until 3 years ago. The laundry is very small with only 4 washers and dryers. Pool was closed and it was very hot out....so that was disappointing also. read more

My family and I came here for a week on vacation. My family and I have stayed here before and we enjoyed it. Our second stay wasn't as great as the first. The staff and the workers are amazing but there is no way to describe how rude and awful the owners were considering our situation. We had just arrived after a long day of driving and everyone was starving and they came over very abruptly and demanded we pick up the little bit of trash we dropped. After this we were gone each and everyday, there was little to no mess left behind. On our last night we were fixing up dinner when the owners came up and started telling us that cans, plastic plates and plastic cups has been blowing around the campground. He continued on and on how we are ruining their campground. After a while the owners had crossed the line and made a very inappropriate scene. Along with this they still have not dealt with the hornet nest outside of our cabin and continually were very disrespectful. I have traveled around the country to different rv parks and never had a situation like this. We love the campground and all of the staff have been very friendly but we're very disappointed in the lack of respect and patience given by the owners. RIDICULOUS read more

The people at this RV Park went over and above to help us out. We had a mechanical issue and were really in the way, but they were pleasant, kind and worked with us. They got us tools and gave us ideas on how to rectify the situation. The next morning they came to see how we were doing and give us more ideas on where to get the issue fixed. The only problem would be, if you wanted to sleep in; the rooster next door crows early and needs to be made into chicken noodle soup. read more
