    A few tables inside.

Quick, fast, and simple. Really good sushi for a great price. They have a few tables inside so you can dine in, but this is a great option for take out if you're in a hurry, especially over on 16th street since most the food options are dine in establishments.

Food was tasty and visually appealing. Stopped by after seeing the good reviews. Service was ok, only one guy taking orders in the front and one guy in the back. Nothing fancy about the decor. Good for a quick asian fix at a decent price

For a simple and unplanned excursion, Obento was a pleasant surprise! We found some cheap parking near 16th Street Mall and looked up sushi places. Obento looked good so we gave it a go. The menu isn't overwhelming which is great; you have a limited but varied selection, basically sushi, ramen, & teriyaki, plus some typical appetizers. We ordered spam musubi and a couple of sushi rolls. The spam musubi was the best I've had from a restaurant (I SWEAR)! This is the real deal y'all, try it! And the sushi was so tasty! You could taste every ingredient in the Nuggets roll; just perfect! We also had the shrimp tempura roll and it was wonderful as well. Do your part to help bring the 16th Street Mall back to its glory days and visit Obento. You won't be disappointed!

I didn't know what to expect as we just walked into the place hoping for some sushi and a visit with friends. It was a great meal. I was quite happy. You get a good portion for your money. It was hot and tasty. Both needed on a cold day. I felt full, but not overly so. The place seems small, but there were a bunch of tables and people came and went for orders of take out all evening long. I will be back for sure, and would recommend. Actually I did recommend it today to a friend for lunch.

Found this place right by 16th & California train station. And what a find! The sushi is fresh and inexpensive. I took a picture - that's a lot of maki for $18! I will not walk away hungry. It is lunch time Sunday and the place isn't busy. Everything is clean and nice, not fancy, but not shabby either. Just the sort of place to have some sushi and relax for a time while in downtown. Luis at the counter is super nice, friendly and shares joy with his smile. My new go-to spot.

Quick service. Not especially friendly but got the job done. They have about 8 or 10 tables. The Philly and shrimp tempura rolls were fresh and tasted good.

We visited Oberti for sushi on a Friday afternoon, and it was a great experience. It wasn't busy, and the atmosphere was relaxed with nice music playing. We ordered the spam musubi, shrimp tempura roll, and the Nuggets roll. Everything tasted fresh and delicious! The spam musubi was a generous portion and had an authentic flavor. The standout for us was the Nuggets roll -- packed with flavor and so good! If you're looking for a quick, tasty sushi spot in downtown Denver, definitely check this place out!

Did not realize Obento on the 16th Street also have unagi don. The unagi don here was more traditional, with only unagi and a few pieces of danmuji (yellow pickled radish) over the white rice, compared to the poke style in both Kyoto Ramen and Poke Club. Simple, but delicious. They also had freshly made sushi, ramen, bento, bowls, poke and a variety of starters, as well as Japanese snacks and drinks. The restaurant was bright and neat, and the minimalist setting was quite similar to the food stands at the Tokyo subway stations. Despite the ongoing construction outside, I was surprised to see many dine-in and take-out patrons during lunch hours, not to mention it was one of the few surviving restaurants right on the Street.

Satisfied customer; I will always recommend this business. The menu is easy to understand, the service is fast and friendly, the atmosphere is sleek and simple. The sushi was fresh and presented very tastefully. My guest and I enjoyed people watching from the front windows while munching on some high quality sushi. Wonderful job Obento!

Chicken curry bento box to go

This location is small. You may need to order for takeout or make sure to grab a seat as you enter if you have more than one person in your party. You order at the counter and then wait for your number to be called. The main star is the food. It is cooked made to order and everything that came out looked particularly delicious. I ordered the chicken curry bento box to go. It carried well back to my hotel and it was incredibly tasty, refreshing and filling. I had thought the prices were a little on the steeper side when it came to lunch but when I saw the amount of food that I received, I felt like it was justified. Great place for lunch!

Service was great, restaurant is very clean, the prices are awesome, and the food was good! My husband got the Maki bento which had 24 little pieces of sushi and the fish was fresh and good. I got the Unagi Don...it was yummy but next time I need more yellow radish!

Absolutely Exceptional…read more Jack's on Pearl exceeded every expectation. As Texas transplants, we've enjoyed some incredible steakhouses over the years and have traveled extensively, but this was truly one of the best dining experiences we've had. We even drove up from Colorado Springs for our 18th wedding anniversary, and it was worth every mile. We started with the wedge salad, which was fresh, crisp, and packed with flavor--easily one of the best wedge salads we've ever had. The warm bread service was incredible and paired perfectly with the house-made spreads. The mac and cheese was rich, creamy, and absolutely unforgettable. The highlight of the evening was the Wagyu steak topped with cheesy potato croquettes. It was cooked to perfection and so tender it practically melted in your mouth. Every bite was packed with incredible flavor and was one of those dishes you continue talking about long after the meal is over. What impressed us most was that every single item we ordered was exceptional. The quality of the ingredients, attention to detail, presentation, atmosphere, and service were all top-notch. After reading some of the reviews beforehand, we weren't sure what to expect. In our experience, this restaurant is incredibly underrated. Our meal, service, and overall experience were outstanding from start to finish. If you're looking for a special dinner, anniversary celebration, or simply one of the best meals you'll have in Colorado, Jack's on Pearl is absolutely worth the visit. We will definitely be back and will be recommending it to friends and family. Thank you to the entire team for making our 18th anniversary so memorable. -- Andrea & Sergio

Our server, Malik, was so professional, courteous, engaging, gave us great suggestions and our meal experience was even better with him as our server! We ordered the Happy Hour cocktails of lemon drop martinis and a regular martini. Ordered a half-dozen of the Pearl oysters and they were so yummy, we ordered another half-dozen. Well-presented and delicious! We then ordered the Nantucket Risotto (only been on the menu for 2 weeks), the Blue Island Diver's Platter (ask for the octopus), a Happy Hour Crispy Slider and Fish Taco. We combined this with a glass of white wine and red wine. The meal was absolutely fabulous and we then finished this spectacular meal with sharing a key lime pie. I will say for the oyster deal it has been good, but sometimes the oysters aren't cleaned well. Again a hit and miss. The ambiance is nice and soothing, very ocean blue. We have also tried some sides and other entrees. The shrimp entree was good but lacked some salt. The burger was amazing with the bacon jam and always have the best shoestring fries. I also got an order of the crispy rice that has a salmon and a tuna. The salmon was way too sweet and had a fishy aftertaste that I disliked. The truffle tuna was definitely the better one of the two. However, the rice itself was absolutely mushy and not necessarily crispy. It also didn't have the best flavor. Desserts tried were the olive oil orange cake and the brownie. both are OK and nice and sweet, but not something I would spend money on Overall, truly think this place is a hit and miss. Just depends on the night.

I did want to let the restaurant know that it was for a birtday celebration but there was no place to put that info. However, when we checked in at the restaurant, our friendly hostess did ask which was wonderful. Took few moments to get to our table but they were busy setting it up for that special occasion. Our waiter was prompt greeting us and we ordered drinks and bread serivice. Our waiter was very nice but slow due to so many tables he was tending. This restaurant ran little different than the Eddie V's or Merlots. He did have assistance waiter (water person) but things were slow. At other locations, it was someone from the bar who delivered drinks but our waiter was doing that. Also, taking the dirty dishes were mostly handled by the waiter. This slowed down the actual things he should be doing like.. if we needed anything right after the food was delivered, checked on us more frequently..things like that. Overall food was very good, drinks were little bit expensive for the price being charged and slow service. At the end, he relized we were not a happy camper and wrapped up faster. The waiter had the kitchen split the salad for us. First, the French onion soup was a bowl but it was very good. I like getting the soup at all the restaurants we go to to see how well they are made. This one was very good. The wedge salad was good and it had chunks of blu cheese which I like. My wife had the teriyaki salmon. She said it was very good and would get it again. I had a filet with a lobster tail. The steak was cooked medium rare as I asked for so they did a great job with that and the lobster was good as it's a lobster. Now for the side we got and highly recommend the black truffle Mac & cheese. I don't know how to describe it but it was good. We also got the Parmesan broccolini which was cooked on a grill and was good. To finish the evening we ordered the crème brûlée. It has seasonal fruit that my wife ate and I had the cream dessert. It was much bigger than what I was expecting. Overall this was a great dinner and if I am in Denver again I would come back.
