We had a good time here. Located across from the Duomo. Clean and neat inside. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is seating inside and outside. Outside has beautiful views of the Duomo. It's worth coming here just for the view of the Duomo. The food was very good. Loved the pizza and the arancini. I had Lasagna. It was very heavy but tasted delicious.

Obicà Mozzarella Bar is a pizzeria in the Food Hall on the 7th floor of Rinascente Milano in Piazza Duomo. Why make the effort to escalate all the way up 7 flights? Relax at a bird's eye level view table of the Duomo flying buttresses without a tourist crowd pushing you to move along. A sunny clear day allows you to appreciate the intensity of the Duomo architecture. Fundamental Food ~ classic dishes, satisfying pizza dough chew, all made with quality ingredients. They do specialize in Mozzarella and the cheese sampler was fun to taste around. Service ~ expect generic gestures and slow to attend. It is a very large restaurant, so personalized attention is not to be expected. Good food + awesome view = enjoyable spot to take a break from the Milan shopping madness.

Our first Italian restaurant in Milan where my wife and I stopped in for some lunch...while the rest of our group was recovering from the long flight. Obica is located on the rooftop in a food hall that offers many dining and snacking options. Below are seven floors of the Rinasente (shopping mall). It took awhile to get up there because, well, someone had to do some shopping and browsing. The restaurant overlooks the Duomo Milano, which is spectacular. The service was a bit slow but, the pizza and ricotta cheese we ordered was flat out delicious!!! Our first dining experience in Italy did not disappoint!!!! As our trip went on I noticed service is slower here in Italy for a reason. Italians sit and enjoy their meals and take their time. No rushing here and no pesty servers constantly stopping by. When in Milan keep this place in mind for a rooftop drink or lunch when visiting.

Super cute restaurant on the rooftop of rinascente department store. Great view of the duomo from lunch. Absolutely loved their chicken salad. Perfect place for a leisurely lunch after shopping.

Beautiful place with a beautiful view. The food was amazing and the desserts were top. It is a little pricey than most places but the view is to die for. I enjoyed the food very much

Found this place a little by chance but what great views. The food was done well especially the crostini. Service was decent with just a little too much waiting.

The view with the duomo and city alone makes the visit here worthwhile. It was a bit difficult finding the place, as you have to find the entryway to the "food court" on the side of a building, go up an elevator, then walk thru a shopping spot with other restaurants to find it. It seems to be quite a popular place because of the beautiful outdoor views, so I'd highly recommend reservations or going on off-hours like we did. We were able to walk outside and grab an open table for dinner around 5:00. The food was good. I REALLY enjoyed the tortellinis I ordered - incredibly fresh tasting & not super heavy. The waiting service there was friendly, but we had to get someone's attention almost every time we needed something. I never got used to the amount of smokers in Italy - I wish they had nonsmoking areas to enjoy the outside without the horrible cigarette smell.

Had the burrata burger. Was great!!!!

Great atmosphere and nice people. Would definitely go back. I had been wanting a good burger since we left the US. I got it today.

Great view of the cathedral and delicious fresh mozzarella Mozzarella made fresh and a large variety to choose from (7 euros for the small plate) Bread offered is a bit stale but great with cheese and olive oil. Ordered the green day drink (12 euros), very strong tequila taste which wasn't masked very well by the like flavours. Staff is a bit short but food comes quick. Also service charge included is 3 euros per person (very pricey for the slower and slightly unpleasant staff)

View from the host stand - amazing!

I wanted to have sundowners on a rooftop by the Duomo since we didn't have time for a tour, so I made reservations in advance for a table outside. It took us a bit to find it; google maps led us to a red door across from the movie theater that took us directly up to the 7th floor to the food court area. We made it to the host stand and were seated on the very crowded patio. We had a table for two, inches away from our neighboring diners. If you are sensitive to smells that emanate from others (smoke, etc), you probably don't want to dine here. Luckily I'm not bothered by body odor and no one in our immediate vicinity was smoking but others were; enough for me to think to note it for my fellow Yelpers. There were other restaurants in the food court that offered the same views and looked to have spread out seating options. We waited a bit for drinks, food, and our bill. I blame it on sundown on a summery Saturday as service was pleasant. We had Lambrusco and got a small meat and cheese board and a daily special of bruschetta with mozzarella cheese. Everything was good enough but not the best I had in Italy, but when combined with the view it afforded, it was pretty great. If we ever come back to Milano, I will probably try another spot for rooftop sundowners across from the Duomo, but if you have patience, like to sit super duper close to others, and enjoy great views of the Duomo, this is a great spot!

Dress the part when you eat here! This is prime people watching city and you will be ignored if you're dressed like a sloppy tourist. Hope that's not me! =P Obika gives you a spectacular view of the top of the Duomo. The spacious outdoor area is just teeming with people! (and it was the odd hour of 2pm?!) The food and drinks here will cost you. A Spritz is €12 and glass of Pinot Grigio is €6. (swear, we paid half that price in Venice!) Pizzas are anywhere between €12 - €16, I thought I was back in San Francisco, the way they were charging these prices! We got an oval shaped, thin crust pizza with salami and mozzarella. The PETRA flour they used from Molina Quaglia is left to rise for 48 hours which results in a light tasting, slightly charred crust. Admittedly, it's hard to get bad pizza in Italy. (if you do your research!) Overall, a really overpriced restaurant at the top floor of a mall. Stop by if you don't mind spending money on ok food .... I guess the eye candy is worth it?

Pizza, lasagne and water will cost you 36 €. They charged us twice for water. Definitely more expensive then we expected.

Absolutely amazing lasagna, best I've had in Italy so far. Our food was served fast and the wait staff was welcoming. The mozzarella balls off of the appetizer list were tasty as well!

Also, there was a bit of a weight when we got there, but it actually grew to almost a dozen people. They see people quickly so the turnover is pretty fast and you don't wait long. Since I was concerned about limited menu, those fears were allayed when the Waiter takes your order - he lets you know about the four or five other ones that are not on the menu that are all sounding great So we picked 'chef special' (they pick for you) and a white pizza. The service was pretty quick, and the pizza comes out right away Obviously with such high turnover, they have figured out the formula for delicious pizza. They nailed the crust as well as all the ingredients. Really delicious. The toilet facilities definitely need a lot of help. That was my only real comment about the atmosphere. Seated very quickly, nice clean restaurant and nice waiters although language barrier made ordering a bit clunky. My wife got the ravioli while my friend and I got the bolognese lasagna. My wife said the ravioli was good not great and our lasagna was very tasty but room temperature. I like my food hot. The other person at our table got salmon and it was way overcooked and very tough. Not sure why our other party got Salmon at an Italian restaurant in Italy but to each his own. If you want a glass of wine you only have two choices, white wine and red wine. No other available. This is probably because the restaurant doesn't carry large inventories of wine due to their small size and cost. Overall no way is this above an average restaurant. It's just okay. Heat up your lasagna better, teach your chef how to cook Salmon and expand your glasses of wine selections.

The classic entrees are made in the comfort food style - solid flavors, generous portions, and good ingredients. Be sure to try the costelleta or ossobucco.
