Food was delivered so fast I suspect that they had a bunch of game day standards pre-prepared to better deal with the game crowd. Regardless, the food was delivered fast. I had the buffalo wings which were crisp and lip smacking spicy - just as I would expect. Plump and meaty wings, and despite being an appetiser it was enough for me as dinner. Avoid this PLACE!! DO NOT SUPPORT OBs Pub and Grill this place tends to SEXIST, chauvinist, perverted elderly creeps . You will get groped and/harassed by the older white men who are locals at this bar. I was harassed by this disgusting white older male while at this bar with my family. I was standing in front of the KJ an African American male who saw everything and completely allowed for it to happened and denied he saw anything when he was called out on it . The white man is overweight about 5'8 ft , red/brown beard , almost going bald, big belly, and definitely looks like someone who belongs in yippee town. My back was facing the KJ and my sister noticed this white man come behind me and started trying to grope me, trying to literally put his face on my behind and using his hands like he's about to grab my butt . It was soooo embarrassing because everyone was watching. My sister right away called him out and the KJ Looked at us and said nothing. We pushed him away and he literally didn't care to apologize or even just pay for his tab and gtfo. He simply stood in the far back of the bar top with his buddy and one of the female bartenders who was this white older/wasted looking woman who looked like she was in her late59-60s, and were all laughing . This is when we realized he was a regular frequent flyer at this bar, and there seemed to be 2 other elderly looking men who were all regulars as well. As soon as my sister called out this discussing white man, the two old looking 60ish year old men started pointing at us and screaming out disrespectful things , one of them said I should have allowed for that to happens !! They were laughing and were totally enjoying this disgusting situation. Like wtf! Instead this female elderly bartender kicked me and my family out when I decided to go up to this creep and tell him what he did was harassment and completely wrong because they will protect their regulars. So you are careful if you actually decide to go how these men look : One of them was about 5'6 super overweight with such a huge abdomen/belly that he looked like he was 9 months pregnant and/or had severe liver cirrhosis. The other man was also elderly looking like 60s he was skinny kinda tall with missing teeth, white beard and just looked like he came straight from yippie town as well . WOMEN BE SAFE ! As for this KJ he literally didn't care to defend a women from being harassed right in-front of his eyes because I'm sure he didn't want to loose his job. The KJ just said on his mic so everyone can hear that we were overreacting and needed to calm down and stop killing the good time. How is calling someone out because they were just harassed over reacting? He saw everything and completely denied it. Such a disappointment to say the least. "Potential Unmet: A Mixed Experience" First impressions had me thinking, "I could see myself coming back here," but by the time we left, unfortunately, that feeling had changed. Quality of Service: The service left much to be desired. While we found a spot to sit without issue, the wait time was a significant drawback. Over 40 minutes for a dozen wings is excessive. The staff should check on patrons more frequently and provided updates on the long wait time. Quality of Food: The wings themselves were good--well-sized, flavorful, and reasonably priced at under $15 for a dozen. Drink Quality: I tried the Genius Draft pour at $10, but the taste was off, possibly due to unclean tap lines. When we asked about drinks, our server didn't offer a drink menu or mention what was on tap and simply mentioned the bar was open to whatever we wanted--except for mojitos, when asked. Cleanliness: The place was clean enough, with restrooms for both men and women located in the back. Ambiance: A dark pub feel at night, complemented by large mirrors and a beach breeze. The layout is appealing, and the natural light adds to the atmosphere. Convenience: Finding a spot to sit was easy enough, wait time for food is a drawback, and if you're accustomed to drink menus, you'll have to adjust. Overall Experience: The wings were good, but the overall experience didn't leave us wanting to return. If you have plans following your time at this pub, keep in mind of the single cook hustling in the kitchen fulfilling orders for the amount of guests there. If there were a Yelp Hall of Fame, Ob's in Manhattan Beach would have a star on the sidewalk! I've been here more times than I can count (definitely more than four), and each visit feels like coming home. The staff? Absolute legends. Friendly isn't even the half of it--they know my order before I do. It's like they have some sixth sense for great food and customer satisfaction. The moment you walk in, you're greeted with smiles and a vibe that screams, "We're happy you're here!" Now, let's talk about the culinary genius that is Lupe on the grill. This person deserves a medal, or at least a really cool apron. The food is consistently top-notch. Their ribs, a special during the week, are a smoky, tender masterpiece that you need to experience. The corned beef sliders are little bundles of joy, bursting with flavor and perfect for sharing (though you'll want them all for yourself). And the wings? Amazing doesn't even begin to cover it. They're crispy, juicy, and just the right amount of spicy--I'm drooling just thinking about them. In short, Ob's is my happy place. Great food, great people, and a great time every single visit. Zero stars for this this bar and staff. The minute I walked in there to meet friends/family I was met with disgusting glares from the staff and patrons. I felt so uncomfortable, and within minutes of being there my friend was sexually harassed, and then we were thrown out for "ruining the good time." No one, especially women, should be punished for standing up for themselves after being sexually harassed. This is my local spot. I love OB's. The food is decent and reasonably priced but the service is amazing. I love Steve, Christie, Lucy and Amanda. It's so nice to come to a place where you are greeted with your favorite drink before even ordering. Taco Tue is super fun and cheap too. The only exception was after a goal, when the broadcast volume would briefly come on for about a minute before being replaced by music again. After several repetitions, it felt less like a technical decision and more like a statement. If the owner doesn't want to host soccer fans, that's completely their prerogative. But putting a World Cup match on the TVs while intentionally suppressing the experience people came to enjoy is a strange middle ground that manages to satisfy nobody. The result was a room full of people watching one of the biggest sporting events in the world while being reminded every few minutes that the bar would rather they weren't.

The bar owner came over to our group and spoke to us for a while. She told us the bar originally opened in 1924 and has gone through several owners and renovations. She stated they restored the bar back to some if it's original glory. The restaurant had a good selection of drinks as well as non-alcoholic options. They also serve barbecue. There is indoor seating and a very large patio in the back. We also met the chef who is also a comedian and hosts comedy nights there.

It takes a minute to get the hang of it, but once you do, it's a lot of fun. I loved being able to sample a wide variety of beers, wines, and seltzers without committing to a full glass. They also have a few non-alcoholic options, which is a nice touch. The food was just okay, but the atmosphere and drink selection are what make this place worth visiting. I'd definitely come back to watch another game or hang out with friends.
