A year ago, I came here and was told I would have to go to a specialist to have my tooth removed. Luckily, I didn't believe it. I ended up finding a dentist to save my tooth but I had to pay out of pocket, over 2,000.00! Today, saw an ad where OC Family accepted Cal Optima so I tried to give them another chance. Again-he said I would have to one of their so called specialists. I literally just walked out. I am never coming back to this office ever again. read more

Just left the dentist with no cleaning after going in for a $29 new patient special. The dentist recommended deep cleaning for both my wife and I. My wife paid it but I opted out for just the regular cleaning this time as I wait for my insurance to kick in. Nope! No cleaning if you opt out of a $150 deep cleaning. Oh well! I was having a lot of pain on my back tooth, and came in to see Dr. R. I mentioned I thought I had a cavity. He took an xray to make sure and luckily nothing was wrong and after a thorough cleaning I felt a major sign of relief. He was able to explain and show me how to floss the back tooth which I had been neglecting. I was in the area a few weeks ago and decided that I needed to get my teeth cleaned. I've been way past due and hasn't seen my dentist in over a year (pandemic). I figured why not see dr. R again. I still think about how wonderful and detailed and caring he was when I needed to be seen for an emergency. I called and told him I was in the area and needed a cleaning. I visit this office a year ago for minor cavity and filing in one of my back tooth. I did not have pain when I visit the office but according to doctor my X-Ray shows the cavity. So he filled my tooth. I had pain after. I visit the office and doctor said it will be gone after couple of months. It never gone and I can't eat if something is somewhat hard on that side. Doctor said the reason of the main is because the filling was deep. A year later I visit another doctor and she said the previous doctor did the bad job and that's why you have pain and it is not cavity. However, she does not want to extract and re-fill it since the job was not done correct at first time. In the positive side, the doctor and staff at OC Family Dentistry are very nice and also their price is good, but I rather to pay a little bit more and get the job done correctly, specially on the teeth instead of being nice and cheap! Unfortunately I do not recommend this office. read more

I called Wednesday afternoon to make an appointment as a new patient and was scheduled today, Saturday 9/15 at 9:30am. I showed up at 9:20, assuming I had paperwork to fill out, but the door was locked. So I waited until 9:30... still locked. I stood outside until 10:00 and nobody showed up, I also left a voicemail and called a few times and still haven't heard back. It's now 12:30pm and nobody has gotten back to me. Luckily this was a basic exam and cleaning but if it had been an emergency, that really would've sucked. Hopefully I'll get an explanation when they open and call me back... but this doesn't look good to me as a possible new patient ***UPDATE*** So the office and I had a miscommunication when scheduling my Saturday appointment and didn't tell me it would be the FOLLOWING Saturday. I rescheduled my appointment and had my exam, cleaning and xrays, no complaints! Everything went very well and quickly. I'm changing my review to 4 stars now because the dentist himself called me today to apologize and let me know they would take care of my next cleaning free of charge (since my insurance doesn't cover bi-yearly check ups) which I think is awesome!! Way to go when it comes to patient/customer service! read more

So thankful for this office! I chipped my front tooth playing basketball and I did not want to wait until tomorrow because I had an event tonight. Luckily, they work late on Thursdays and they were able to squeeze me into their schedule. Ani at the front was able to check my insurance before I even got there. I heard about them from my friend that had just tried their $29 special and was happy so I thought I'd give them a try. I was a little hesitant because I've had some bad luck with specials like this in the past, where they give you "the real price" once you get in there. Luckily, this was not the case at all. The office is beautiful and modern and everybody was very welcoming. I normally have a tough time with x-rays but Patti was very gentle and patient with me. Dr. Rahimpour showed me all my x-rays and also educated me with photos of my teeth for some areas he wanted to keep an ion. No one has really done this before without trying to sell me something. Finding a new dentist is always really hard so I decided to turn to yelp reviews to see in my area where I should go. I chose to go to OC Family dental because it is close to my work, it is open on some weekdays until 7pm and open on Saturdays, and it has positive yelp reviews compared to others that had some negative reviews. I called on a Friday and they were able to get me in on a Tuesday of the next week after my work hours (didn't want to have to use PTO). The staff and Dr. Rahimpour were all super friendly and personable. They talked you through each step so you were not thrown with any surprises. The rooms and equipment were very clean and looked new. I had to get a few fillings redone and had one cavity which the Doc was able to do that night (even staying a little after hours). The whole visit was comfortable and quick. I would definitely recommend this office. read more
