As others have stated, the staff is extremely condescending, rude and nasty. Someone needs to teach them manners. I can't believe they're still acting the same way after years, and I can't even believe the place is still open. They stood around the register, laughing and giggling, and when I asked them for help, they acted like I was interrupting them. And then one of them called me "honey." By the way, this is the second time I've had this experience at this place. So it is not an isolated incident, and the last time was years ago. 11-2025 I purchased shampoo and conditioner during a promo at PB in Sept. Turns out the product was to strong for my hair Post-Chemo. I tried to get a refund and was told it's been over 30 days so I asked for the Corp. Office number. I've been trying to call them and contact them for days now. The sales women was so rude to me. She literally dismissed me once she saw the date on the receipt. She gave me no other options until I asked for the Corp. Office number. Good luck trying to return something at this place. I won't give up I'll still keep calling and trying to contact someone. I found out Post-Chemo you should use baby shampoo if your hair is dry because of the chemo. Amazing customer service! I came in a few days ago and was right away welcomed and helped by Sabrina. I was absolutely desperate in finding the right shampoo to combat my dry scalp, right away Sabrina recommend me the Ava moisture shampoo and I absolutely love it!! I come to this location a once maybe every 2 or 3 months for my Jane Iredale foundation powder. I love Jane Iredale products and this place is the only business that carries her products other than her online store. Usually this place has good guest service, but on a rare occasion, maybe you get an associate that is overwhelmed and kinda gives you a little problem. I wont name names as I have had good service from her in the past but this time around, I showed her a coupon promotion (on my phone) that also gives me a free OPI nail polish. She gave me the coupon but said I had to mention that I wanted the OPI nail polish. Usually, they just give me the promotion complete with free product but for some reason she said I should let her know. I still managed to get my nail polish as I did show her the email I received. Again, she usually gives me good service but this time around (maybe she was having an overwhelming day/maybe she was just didn't realize it included the polish/maybe I didn't look up to par as I was without make up and you'd be surprised as to how many businesses give you crappy service if you don't look the part)...who knows but it was one out of many visits I have had here that I wont consider it anything but a fault day. I went in for the first time and was very happy with the location and parking for the store, plenty of parking out front and in the center! Then, the store was soooooooo clean and the ladies were very friendly and helpful. I came to have a makeover with David Dorris, using the Too Faced Cosmetic line, never heard of this brand before (mac user) but was SHOCKED at the results and the texture of the makeup! David had me sit in his magical chair of transformation ( I swear it was a magical chair I'm tellin' ya!) - we talked for a few minutes about what colors I like and what look I wanted him to achieve and we were offfffffffff. I don't wear a lot of makeup, maybe a mascara and some lipstick but I was willing to let David do his thanggggggg and transform me into the look for the evening. David handed me a mirror so I would be able to watch (try to reproduce) the transformation and WOW, WOW, WOW! Worst service ever. Unless you know exactly what you are getting don't bother walking in- or be prepared for dirty looks and no help. I walked in and stated that it was my first time here and that I was looking for a mascara and there were two gals working behind the counter at that time and no customers were in the store. The manager pointed the makeup and said all of our makeup is over there. Never once did anyone come over to ask if I needed help finding the mascara. After looking for 5 minutes for mascara I got a little frustrated and stated that I would be going to ulta since I could not find any mascara in that area & the manager laughs and says "okkkkkk". Walked in, made eye contact with an employee, said hello and was going to ask for assistance when she about-turned, no hello back. The next employee was very helpful and friendly. I saw a sign in the window for $9 brow threading and went for it. Never again there! I get ushered to the back where a lady is stationed in a cluttered, dirty room chit chatting with her friend. I tell her what I want and she begins treatment. I hear other employees complaining about the floods they get and how dirty their back room is where they do waxing and threading, also complaining about their bosses. Then I get a load of my brow job and Yama Mama! - she threaded them down to nothing. Not happy. She then presents with a bill for $23 for lip and brow threading. I'm so happy to have found this location. I no longer have to make the 5 mile trek to Sally Beauty supply to purchase false eyelashes. The young lady behind the counter was dressed to the nines, her hair appeared to have been styled with care in the morning, and her makeup was nice. When I'm shopping at a beauty store, I want the person behind the counter to actually USE beauty products. She did. When I went in I picked out 2 pairs of lashes and waited at the front. The young lady was helping an older customer and asked the older customer if she would mind if the employee rang me out. When she came up, she noticed I was not taking advantage of a "Buy 3 get 1 free" deal. She told me about it and returned to helping the other customer while I decided on a third pair. I was very impressed by her attentiveness, and the store was well laid out. The price for my false eyelashes was exactly the same as Sally's, but Planet Beauty takes the trophy with their spacious interior and helpful employees. read more

I've never been to a Planet Beauty in my life, so when I came in looking to buy my first eye cream Jacque was the one who recommended Rodial. It was within my range of money I can justify dropping on a vial of gel, so, I was all for it! She chose the Dragon's Blood for me. It's a really nice little container that dispenses a teeny amount when you press it with your finger. She cashed me out & gave me a few samples as well, & I knew I'd be coming back. Out of all the employees working there she was the first & only one to greet me & ask if I needed assistance. That's probably one of the things that makes me decide to shop or leave a store - it's all about customer service & taking the time to really listen to the customer's concerns. Jacque is the best!!! But, I was right next door have a horrendous time at Radio Shack, and I had a Groupon for this place burning a hole in my pocket. I walked in right when they opened. Megan was the only person working and was great! Totally helped me find what I wanted. I got a free nail polish for spending over $40 when I redeemed my Groupon. She also helped me pick out a great OPI 3-in-1 polish that is a base and top coat. This place is well stocked. Have lots of great stuff. Please be aware that I am rating the on-site hairdresser, Sherry Nabavi, rather than the store itself, though the staff seem very friendly and knowledgeable. I have been a client of Sherry's since 2006, and would never change hairdressers ... unless she should move away, heaven forbid. I've had more than 45 years experience with salons, including extremely expensive ones. I've had innumerable cuts, colors, frostings, perms, etc, over the years, and having 'good hair' is ridiculously important to me... I admit it. So I don't choose a hairdresser, or stick with one, unless I can count on having many 'good hair' days as a result of their expertise. Sherry is very skilled, caring, and committed to serving her clients. She works with each one of them to assure satisfaction and happiness with the finished product. She will offer recommendations, but not force her opinions on clients. (Yes, I've had that experience with very high-end hair 'designers' and it can be frustrating.) When working with a client for the first time, she is focused on getting to know their preferences and most of all, their hair. How it will react to treatments and so forth. What processes really can work with a particular client's hair, and what colors will not? Naturally, this may involve a bit of trial and error, but, If something doesn't seem right to a client, Sherry will fix it... no charge, no fuss. She's flexible with making appointments, and even forgives those rude people who cancel at the last minute, or don't bother to cancel at all, or arrive half an hour late and still want to be seen immediately. As to the fees, they are reasonable, not cheap. Who wants cheap? Some services, like the Brazilian Blowout (never needed one) are expensive because of the products used and the time commitment, which is true of most salons. Similarly, other fees (perms, cuts, updo's and so forth) are equal to, and sometimes a bit less than, other good salons in the area. Which brings me to the other important point -- quality products. Sherry does not skimp on products. She uses top quality shampoos, conditioners, perm solutions, etc. and doesn't cut corners for profit. Give Sherry a call. You will not be disappointed. read more

I want to give a shoutout to Shawna at the Santa Ana location. I was in last weekend to buys some makeup. Shawna ended up helping me color match and when she found out I was going out later that night she ended up doing all my makeup for me. She did a great job and I got lots of compliments. I get there 10 min later and the door is locked with staff walking out stating that hours on google haven't been updated to 7 yet. I don't know how it's so hard to update your hours on google. Well it didn't work for her and we tried to return it. The person in charge said we could only get store credit for our purchase, it says that on our receipt. HELLO.... A couple of weekends ago I went into this Planet Beauty considering a change in hair product. First of all, I was pleasantly greeted by Jamie as I entered the store. She was so very cheerful & was very helpful in my quest to find the perfect shampoo & conditioner. Jamie was able to tell right way what type of hair I have and made several suggestions as to what may work best. After smelling some of the products I had it narrowed down to ColorProof Crazy Smooth Anti-frizz shampoo, conditioner, & hair serum. Jamie let me know that with this shampoo you need to lather it up in your hands a bit before applying to my hair, & boy am I glad she told me so I didn't use too much of this product to get the right results. After just 2 weeks of using this product, my hair is so soft, & the frizziness is definitely more tame. Thank you Jamie for being so helpful in my crazy hair mission! read more

Being a man (and single Dad of a 2 year old) it's hard to know what is best as you start to hit the big 30! I only planned on getting one item but walked out with a whole bag of goodies.
