Our main breaker wouldn't reset after having been manually flipped. It was a Sunday, over 100 degrees outside, and we couldn't really wait until Monday to have someone come out. We're new to the area so we didn't have an electrician yet. After a quick Yelp search I came across OC Pro Electric. Jim came within the hour, pulled the breaker out of the box, whacked it a couple of times on the tailgate of his truck, plugged the breaker back in, and reset it. :) 10 minutes, $165.00. Needed two recessed lights installed and a swap out of a wall switch timer; minimal drywall work, just ensuring the 4" holes were cut large enough, no patching needed--a relatively simple job. I bought a couple retrofit cans that take light bulbs as those are the ones I like. The workers were on time, and arrived at 8:02 am, and were cordial. However the install didn't go well. The tabs that hold the can up flush with the drywall did not seem to be properly installed, so the cans sagged, and the worker had to add screws into the cans and into the beams in the ceiling. He complained about these types of cans and said the LED retrofit were the only way to go. The wall switch install went great. The final work looked fine, I'm mostly disappointed with the extra screws needed to keep the cans flush. They also brought two people and charged double the quoted hourly, though luckily the job only took them one hour, so total two man hours were paid. read more
