After messaging about hours on Instagram I drove from Costa Mesa to their store in Brea only for the store to be closed. I messaged them on Instagram and was told 1-7pm for store hours. There was no update on their Instagram or Yelp of hours being changed. Very unprofessional. They definitely lost a customer.

Someone came out and handed them tickets and then once the tickets were handed out they were told they could leave and come back. Of course the boys left and then returned at 10:30. They had numbers on the tickets and when getting in line to purchase the needohs people were allowed to go in and make Needoh purchases that didn't have a ticket. Which was confusing and on top of that the order of the tickets were not being honored. It was very disappointing. Did they get Needohs yes, but was this event also unorganized and not well thought out 100%. I get that things happen and in cases like this people will be disappointed. It's also okay for Ace Hardware to admit, yeah we messed up. A side note, the Needohs were up priced, they were about $12.99 and the quality of the Needohs were not that great. A lot of inconsistencies and then looking into it more they aren't on the retailer list. All of these things can just be small mistakes and that is all fine but the event itself just seemed unorganized. Not the best experience. I heard they did sell out on overpriced Needohs, good for Ace Hardware.

Before bringing it in, I asked the cashier if it was okay since I was only going to be inside for a few minutes to purchase a few items. The cashier said it was fine. A few minutes later, the store manager, who I believe is named Evan, came through the store yelling, "Whose e-bike is that?" in front of other customers. Instead of speaking to me professionally, she immediately became confrontational. I calmly explained that I only needed a few minutes to finish my purchase, but she responded by insulting me and using profanity. I'm an adult, a paying customer, and a regular shopper at this location. There was no reason for the situation to be handled with shouting and disrespect. If there was a store policy, it could have been explained politely instead of creating a scene. I reported the incident to corporate, but because this location is independently franchised, they were unable to resolve the issue. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this store while this manager is in charge. Customers deserve professionalism and respect, not public embarrassment over a situation that could have been handled with a simple conversation. Ty

My wife and I were waiting to get some turf cut for us for a while and each of them came to help us in one way or another. William was walking by and saw us waiting and called it in and even went to get someone for us. Shaye was the first to come to get the turf cut, then Ryan and Bruce helped us after they were available from other customers. Everyone was very polite and helpful despite probably being understaffed. On a side note, they were out of the less expensive turf that we originally wanted so we did go with a more expensive one but since we were waiting for so long and we didn't get the original one we wanted we got a few bucks knocked off which honestly did help out a lot. Especially in this economy lol. Thanks to all of you! You were great

I asked two individuals who were walking together chatting what area of paint the masks were. "End of the aisle" and also pointed. I searched and I only found respirator type masks. I went back to the desk in the paint area and asked if they had basic face masks and was again responded to with a point in a general direction and told to check cleaning supplies. At this point I found nothing, and took the two boxes of respirator masks I grabbed and headed to check out. Thats the only time someone was actually willing to help me. Hilda walked over with me back to the paint area to a couple aisles and we could not find them. Headed back to checkout and got what I was able to find as I had an immediate need for my warehouse. In a store with more workers than customers, with the exception of Hilda, not a single person was interested in helping.
