A Warren hoe is a planting hoe but did an excellent job of helping me make trenches for the gravel. I was out of the warehouse quickly, used self checkout, and pushed my purchases to the car. We went in yesterday afternoon to look at security screen doors. We had the good fortune of having Jon assist us. Very helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and very giving of his time. Love this plaza Lowe's in located. I get to buy my garden plants and fertilizer and get my groceries at Sam's next door. After coming here for a few years, one associate finally pointed out to me I have a guarantee with my boxwood plants I have been buying. I never knew plants came with a warranty ( 1 year I think). For others, it may sound silly but for a non green thumb's person, this guarantee is great. Luckily, my other hi trees have survived x4 years so far. I enjoy visiting during spring time since there are so many birds nesting. Staff members are very kind to put up signs to inform guests not to disturb nests. What a disappointing experience I had on Thursday, August 7, around 6:30 PM. I was at the store and saw a male employee standing behind the counter in the tool section. I approached him and asked where I could find the outdoor extension cord. He shouted angrily, "You can't come in here. Get out!" I looked around and realized I had wandered into the employees-only section behind the counter, where there was no barrier or sign indicating it was off-limits to customers. The man had been standing within that section, so I had simply been confused. Nevertheless, a professional would never respond so aggressively to such a trivial mistake by a customer. A reasonable employee would politely direct the customer to the right product and then block off the area once the customer had left. I will just shop at Home Depot next time. read more

I feel like I'm here every week or every other week. It's so close to home and conveniently located between Walmart and Sam's Club. As part of their Lowe's rewards we often are able To get freebies from time to time when they're having their giveaways, like we got a soccer ball, Air pump and draw string bag one time. I did take off a star because the workers are hard to find. I also don't like when the solar panel people are there asking us about our electric bill. I also wish they'd sell ALL flooring individually by panel. I will never shop at Lowe's again due to the lack of any type of customer service/help from the manager, Max in appliances at the La Habra Ca. store when I had a damaged appliance delivered by Lowes but did not report within 48 hours which was never mentioned by the salespeople or the delivery people. Max simply stated our policy is 48 hours and there is nothing I can do. Zero effort to help. End of discussion. I was waiting a few weeks for my contractor to come and perform plumbing, electrical and other work and purchased early at the Memorial Day sale. I'm starting a complete remodel of my home and while Lowes got the first 1k plus of my business, Home Depot has already got much more since and will get a whole lot more over the many months it will take to completely renovate the inside of my house. Had a fridge that fit my size specs. 1) Even if you buy the extended warranty, return policy is still limited unless you buy with a Lowe's credit card. Ok - what the heck?! Not sure why this Lowe's rates such low stars - ?? This was probably one of the nicest Lowe's I've been in recently. The last store I had gone to (Tustin) was awful! The employees here were so helpful - each time an employee would pass us, they would ask if they could help with anything. And I was thrilled to find a mosaic for our shower project. Why is it always the last spot that you go to that has what you're looking for?! And finally, a young man helped us load a toilet into our car - very pleasant young man! I ordered Windows online because they were on sale, and I was remodeling my house. I did not need the windows until the house was ready for them. I ordered the whole house of windows. I picked them up, and they were packaged to mitigate damage. I left them in the packaging for their protection. when I went to install them. Two were the wrong size, one had missing parts, and one was damaged. I went back to Lowe's, and they kept repeating that it was past 90 days, so you are stuck. I asked for a store credit or a coupon for a discount on future purchases. Same response past 90 days in effect screw you. It is clear Lowe's is not interested in their customers after they get your money. I have taken things back to Home Depot several months after the purchase and the job was done. This is special recognition for service way above and beyond normal. I needed a couple of dozen railroad ties for a retaining wall project and this store is one of few that carry them in stock. Railroad ties weigh between 150 and 180 pounds each, so picking up a load of them is no easy job. I was very lucky to find Lisa, a very helpful Lowe's employee. She has helped me each time I have gone back for another load of these monsters. Without hesitation, she always manages to find a forklift and get to work helping me. She always to move some other items out of the way and has worked out a plan to load these into my trailer easily. She has put in some heavy work on some of our hottest California days, never complaining or shying away from the job. This is one committed employee, and Lowe's has a real treasure in her. Poor Service | Windows and Doors 8/02/2024: Went to purchase closet doors (72x80 bypass doors). It ook approximately 30 minute to get someone in the Windows an Doors department to help me. When I inquired about delivering the closet doors, I was told that the delivery price is $79 (however, Lowes website days $39). Based on the price delivery price, I figured hiring a Lowes installer might be a better option. When I asked about the installation cost, I was told it varies and that installation costs are determined by the Lowes contractor. So, before hiring the contractor, you must pay $40 for the contractor to come out and measure your close space. The contractor has 24 hours to reply to your request. 8/05/2024: I waited to hear from the contractor Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. I finally got a call from he contractor on Monday. I was told no one could come out to measure until August 9th, and the installation would be another week or so after that. So, it would take at least 2 weeks to hang the closet doors. I explained that was unacceptable and then the contractor scheduled someone to come out on 8/06/2024 (the next day). 8/06/2024: The contractor's employee takes approximately 5 minutes to measure and leaves. The contractor has 24 hours to sent the installation estimate to LOWES. I wait Wednesday and Thursday, there is no communication during this period (from anyone). 8/08/2024: I go to LOWES for a status update on my order. It takes another 30 minutes to get help in the Windows and Doors department. When the appropriate person shows up, he has no updates from the contractor. So, he leaves a message for the Contractor to send the estimate. At this point I am very uncomfortable with the LOWES contractor. I ask the LOWES employee what is the escalation process in case I have a problem with the contractor. He told me I would have to call LOWES corporate; he offered the cooperate number, I declined. He assured me that by the next day I would have an estimate from the contractor. 8/09/2024: LOWES called me with the contractor estimate. It was $450 for a 45-minute basic installation. I declined the contractor's estimate and my $40 were forfeited. Summary: 1. Each visit, and there were 3 visits, took 30 minutes to get help in the Windows and Doors department 2. The delivery cost was misquoted at $79 (versus the $39 cost shown on the LOWES website). Had I gotten the correct delivery cost, I would not have pursued hiring the LOWES contractor. 3. In my opinion, the contractor's pre-sales response was poor. 4. There is a gap in the store and contractor's communications process (I had to physically go to the store 3 times to know what was going on with my order) 5. Local contractors quoted me $150 - $200 to do the same work If you plan to use a LOWES contractor, I suggest you re-read this post. read more

Garden and front entrance doors were locked before closing. We along with other customers walked over to the exit knocked since she was standing in there and we tried to show her it was not closing time based on the time. She insisted to yell they are closed with an attitude completely unprofessional repeatedly then waited until her phone turned to 9pm and show us through the door that it was now 9pm.
