I just want to shout out to Shaye (The assistant manager), Ryan, Bruce, and William at this location. My wife and I were waiting to get some turf cut for us for a while and each of them came to help us in one way or another. William was walking by and saw us waiting and called it in and even went to get someone for us. Shaye was the first to come to get the turf cut, then Ryan and Bruce helped us after they were available from other customers. Everyone was very polite and helpful despite probably being understaffed. On a side note, they were out of the less expensive turf that we originally wanted so we did go with a more expensive one but since we were waiting for so long and we didn't get the original one we wanted we got a few bucks knocked off which honestly did help out a lot. 645 am, Sunday, May 31, 2026 I arrived early before Home Depot opening of 700 am. I was here early to get another gravel sock for the planting area. They have plenty in stock. These are ten feet long and can fit a 3 inch pipe inside. I would have gone to the other competitor that's closer but they did not have any. $8 for a single pack. This is my husband and I's go to for Home Depot. It's further away but they have a garden section, tool / equipment rental and is bigger than the La Mirada location. We come here often and the staff is so helpful and knowledgeable. They always approach us and ask us if we need help and offer suggestions when they can or refer us to others who know more about the task at hand. They've even helped call other Home Depot locations to help our friends track down a specific Christmas tree. read more

I called Home Depot to see if someone could key a new Schlage lock I was planning to purchase. After going through the automated phone system, the call rang repeatedly, but no one ever answered. I stayed on hold for about 30 minutes before giving up. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time this has happened. I'm usually not one to complain, but this level of customer service is frustrating. I'm in Home Depot stores almost every day--often visiting two or three different locations depending on the jobs I'm working on--and I've noticed a decline in customer service. This store is remodeled for efficient check out. All forms of payment (including electronic) are accepted. The garden department is colorful this fall. The flowers are packaged in a growers bunch. Most reasonable for this quality. The decorations for Christmas included a few furry friends and a Disney celebrity. Artificial trees included lights and a sequenced display. Garden department has a dedicated cashier and they assist in helping with your "living" purchases find a safe place for transportation back to your home. Been coming to this Home Depot since it opened. It's pretty much a hub for all construction types. I believe. They pretty much have everything you need if you're a homeowner or contractor. Prices are pretty much just like anywhere, expensive unless if you find a sale. Place is always busy and full of customers. Parking can be a bit chaotic at certain times of the day including the way people park, driveIt's or load up their vehicles. It's your typical Home Depot, however the one thing that's never really changed is the customer service, it has never really been something to be desired. I've dealt with every department in this Home Depot and it is always hit or miss. Dealing with the public is not easy for sure I get it. Especially when you're dealing with construction workers and numerous home owners who think they know everything. However, I've had a number of occasions when a checker or a worker on the floor gives a smart A## answer to my questions. I visited Home Depot with my mother between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, to make a simple return. Unfortunately, the employee assisting us (a woman with white dreadlocks. Shorter women) came across as visibly annoyed when we asked a simple question. Her attitude made us feel uncomfortable and as though we were inconveniencing her simply by being there. I understand everyone has difficult days, and retail can be stressful. However, customers should not be made to feel unwelcome for asking reasonable questions or completing a routine transaction. A little patience and basic courtesy go a long way in creating a positive experience. One would think that a company like Home Depot would have their stuff together. And although I applaud them for better pricing on most construction products. Their stores maintenance is subpar at best. Restrooms are always dirty in the stalls. Parking lots have trash, and carts everywhere. And getting help in the aisles is not easy. I tried getting help many times around employee but they kept saying they would call the manager but he ended up showing so late. When he showed up, no apologies. The cashier told me that there was nobody to help me. I'm a disabled 58-year-old woman and that is just not OK. Shame on you guys. Thanks to a kind stranger, my bags were loaded. This is the closest Home Depot to my house. The problem is the customer service is hit or miss. Sometimes I go to find an item and it is impossible to find an associate there to help you find it. As a result, I seem to spend a long time trying to find whatever I am looking for. Other times there is someone there that can point me in the right direction. Service and logistics here is atrocious. I've shopped at Home Depot as well as other retail locations all my life and this is the worst one. I placed an online order for pickup and was expecting to pick it up a couple of days later. Several days later I received a confirmation email stating the order was released, "Thanks for picking it up" despite me never getting the chance to. I called the store and was rudely greeted by an operator to which I explained my situation. I came into do the pickup and the attendant threw the package on the counter as if she was doing me a favor. I told her I'd like to return the item and she processed the refund, throwing the receipt onto her side of the counter again as if she was doing me a favor. After reaching over to get the receipt, I walked out. If you see the female attendant at the returns/pick-up desk with tattoos and a nose ring, save yourself the trouble. Today , I decided to embark on an outdoor task which was to spruce up my front fence which had peeling paint . I went to La Habra Home Depot for materials . Sebastian in the paint department. Assisted me with the correct exterior paint . I'm very happy I took his suggestion to get the Premium White Paint with primer . After sanding down the surface , the paint adhered to the finish seamlessly. Once I was done painting , I looked over and saw the paint can's top had blown over unto the cement ... oh no ! I tried to scour this 8 inch diameter paint splattered stain with household cleaning products . Nothing worked . , Well, I figured that the fence being painted was the victory for today. As I went back to Home Depot to return the rented hand held sander a few short hours later, Sebastian inquired about my painting project . I told him the fence came out amazing . However , I inadvertently painted the sidewalk . Because, he is quite knowledgeable with the products in his area, he recommended a product called ZEP to help correct my paint error . Here's a list of the multiple glitches (numbered below) that I encountered in my recent experience with Home Depot: 1. I ordered a grill for assembled pickup, but (1) Was never informed when it was ready. 2. (2) There was no record or status of the order on their website when I typed-in the order #. 3. (3) I downloaded the Home Depot app and it didn't work. I typed-in my order # and there was nothing - no notification that my item was assembled and ready for pickup, therefore I couldn't even let them know I was coming or where I parked for them to load the item into my van. 4. I picked it up, got it home, and discovered (4) No power cord, (5) No assembly tools that I might need later - to tighten anything loose, etc, (6) Scratches indicating it was a floor model, and (7) No user manuals. 4. I called, willing to drive 10 miles again to pick up the missing items, and (8) It took about an hour to resolve. I was the one making suggestions to resolve these problems, not the employee. "Can you open a boxed item and give me its power cord and user manuals?" - their answer, "Let me check on that." I'm not a difficult person, evident in that I paid for an out-of-its-box item at the new-in-box price, was willing to keep it (scratches-n-all), and even drive back to pick up the missing items. Trusting Home Depot with this $2,000+ purchase should have gone much smoother. I'm very conflicted about what happened, and wonder if individual customers get treated differently from their professional customers. read more

Bought an assembled traeger pro 575. Delivered without bbq controller, electrical cord and drip bucket. Called La Habra Home Depot and was told to have the bbq picked up the next day. Refund to be issued in the next 10 days. No replacement offered. Told to reorder the bbq. They picked the bbq up the next day. Never signed for anything. Never heard from La Habra Home Depot again. Reserved a tool l, drove down and was there a few minutes before my reservation time. I was told the servers are down nationwide for all Home Depot rental departments. Very frustrating and I hang around for an hour. Servers don't come back online. Asked if they could text me when it's back up and they said just call every hour or so and check. Again, frustrated. Go home, call back in hour and they said they can check tools in but aren't sure if they can rent them out until someone comes in and tries. So, I confirm the only way for me to find out if I can rent the tool or not is to come down again and try. Ridiculous! How about you pretend I'm there and see if it works. Nah, I'm good. Negative stars for the paint department. I usually get great attentive helpful service from all the other departments and loved the staff for answering all my questions no matter how stupid it may sound to them. I'm not the most crafty, home DIY person and can barely figure out how to put together an IKEA furniture. But this covid thing left me to do many DIY's at home. So I turn to Youtube and learn how to fix things that I'd normally call someone else to come and fix. So my HOA asked for the garage trim area to be repainted because it was fading away and needed a fresh coat of paint. Ok,sounds easy enough! I head over to Home Depot and tell them the exact color I needed. The lady working there asked if I need it matte or glossy or semi glossy. Oh...umm I'm not sure so I told her what I'll be using it for. All of a sudden her attitude changes and almost snaps at me for not knowing the difference. To her it may have been common sense but this is all brand new to me. So I asked her for advise on what the differences are and what she'd recommend. After giving me a look, she frantically spoke in such a way that made me feel angry. At this point, I pretty much had it with her attitude and just told her semi glossy. She told me to come back in 30 minutes. I was browsing inside the store and came back 30 minutes later only to find out that she had completely forgotten about my order. It wasn't even busy and she neglected my request. Wow. What's wrong with this person? Was she having a bad day? First she gives me a rude attitude and ends up neglecting my order? Once she had realized her mistake, she started to be extra friendly and even made an excuse saying that this sometimes happens. Great excuse but you had no orders or customers. Explain that. I stood there while she put together the paint and accepted her apology. But I feel that management needs to know how their employees are handling their customers. Customer service sucks. We went in to get keys made. We found an associate that was walking around doing nothing and asked if we could get keys made. She told us to wait in sale 21 and she would send someone right over. 20 minutes later still nobody to help us. We asked another associate that again was just walking around if he could help us he said no he did not do keys. He did not off to find someone so my husband went to find us someone to help us. He came back and said they would send someone. 10 minutes later we said this is BS and left. I can honestly say we will never go to this location again. Out of all The Home Depot locations I've been to, this location sure is interesting... from the parking lot, to the whole experience. I stopped by this location a few days ago, and did not have a pleasant experience with many of the employees. They do not seem to have any interest in addressing customers' needs. Maybe they will if you are of a certain race, ethnicity, or gender but otherwise, the service here is very different. I was clearly looking for something and standing there waiting for the associate. If they are with a customer, I am waiting patiently nearby. The associate can acknowledge one's presence and at least say "I will be with you soon (or something like that)" or even look in your direction, or nod to acknowledge your presence. Do not just IGNORE the customer. Many instances of this with many different associates throughout the store. No associate in this location walks you to what you need or what you cannot find. They either "point" in the general section or tell you the wrong section. At the end of my shopping trip, all I had was a question in the drill section, one that I was (verbally) directed to by another associate, but I was ignored. The associate literally did not acknowledge me and walked away, following the customer like a puppy. I had to try to wave down another associate, and he stated "he was busy" and told another associate (at self-checkout) to page another associate. I just had a question, ONE question, about where something was located because I was (verbally) directed to this section. The self-checkout lady was rude as well. I was not asking her to leave her station to help me. She told me the associate in the drill section (the puppy one), would help me after he was done with that customer. (I heavily doubt that as he never even acknowledged that I existed, and who knows how long he'll be "helping" that customer out.) All I mentioned to her is that the associate in the drill section simply ignored me. I just left afterwards - there is no need to be treated this way, and I had no idea how long I would be waiting there. Already wasted so much time throughout my shopping visit trying to locate 2 items. I was asking everyone nicely, standing patiently when they were busy - but I was often ignored, like I simply did not exist. If you need help, the best of luck to you, or just try to find the items on your own. The Home Depot website might even be easier as they have "aisle location" for their stores. Or... maybe you'll find that one associate that is a diamond in the rough, who will answer your questions correctly, exude great customer service, and make you feel valued as a customer. read more
