There's a reason or reasons why Harbor Construction keeps getting 5 stars. My boyfriend had his two sliding doors replaced and he was very happy with the job they did. So when it came time to replace my windows and sliding door, I contacted this company and of course, not before checking the Yelp rating/reviews too. :) I had 7 big windows replaced (1 was a trapezoid) plus a sliding door with a built in dog door. Actually, I was originally just planning on having 2 windows replaced but Mike gave me a good price for having 5 more big windows and sliding door replaced, including his input /recommendations on which windows and sliding door to select based on my needs/budget. So I took the plunge and contracted to have all windows in my house (other than the bathroom windows) and sliding door replaced. Mitch came over to measure the windows, and their office staff just emailed me the contract to sign which I was able to do online. I was also able to just call in my credit card info for the deposit. They then scheduled the project based on my availability (after my vacation). On installation day, I made sure that all my curtains/valance were taken down and furniture moved away from the window prior to the crew's arrival, as I really wanted to have everything done in one day. The installation crew (Foreman Eric/Eddie and his crew JC and Willie) were very efficient. They arrived within the window period as promised and they were finished by about 3:30pm. Mike even messaged me to check on how the installation was going. The crew also cleaned up well and reinstalled the blinds on the 4 windows. (I don't think they even had a lunch break!) They also answered my questions and showed/explained to me the features of my new windows and sliding door before leaving. I wish I could give Mike and his team 10 stars. I had been thinking about window replacement for a long time but it felt really intimidating. I sent out requests for bids on Yelp and Mike called me right away. He was so consultative and answered all my questions, and helped me understand how to take measurements so I could get comparative bids. I got 3 other bids; Mike was the best priced and 100x better to work with so I went with Harbor. I have very specific style that needed to be matched, and I also really wanted double hung, Mike went WAY above and beyond to find what I was looking for, and giving me his professional opinion along the way. We had multiple phone conversations for him to help me make a decision, he was so kind and patient will all my questions. The day of installation also completely blew me away. A big crew showed up right on time, Pete was overseeing the project and he was fantastic. Whats even more amazing is they finished in a single day, and swept/vacuumed/wiped down the work space so my home was clean to come back to! This review is kind of late but needs to be posted. Everyone at OCWE were all so courteous, professional and patience. We had about 10 dual paned windows and one sliding door installed on 12/18/24 by OCWE. I talked to several windows companies but went with OCWE because they have the type and brand of the dual paned windows that we wanted. Their prices weren't the least expensive but not the most expensive, either. However, as much as I was concerned about cost I was just as much concerned about workmanship and the quality of the works. The windows took about 6 weeks to arrive (so order your windows ahead of time). From the time Mitch came out to measure our windows and sliding door to Mike and Meghan who answered my questions and allows changes made to the windows, and to JC and Eric who came and took only one day to installed all the windows and the sliding door we had nothing but pleasant experiences. We just had our windows replaced today with retrofit windows. I looked around and evaluated different window brands and installers. We did alot of research. We got quotes with several installers and even met with four in person. Based on our interaction with Mike at Harbor Construction based in Huntington Beach. We felt most comfortable making this investment with them. Mike was very upfront about brands (he installs several) and prices and about what he could and could not do. I did not feel like he was pressuring us to make an immediate decision like so many others. We replaced all our windows( five windows and a slider). Based on my research we liked the tight precise finish of Anlin over milgard. Fast forward to today. we were sent an email reminding us of our upcoming install and how to prepare for it We got another reminder yesterday on what time the installers would show up. The two installers were on time, bet polite and easy to talk to. They did a walk through with us to tell us the order of their install and lay down coverings in all floors. These installers work hard. They did not even stop for lunch and were very efficient in their work. They were here from 8:30 -2:00 When they completed the install they walked us through every window and gave us maintenance tips and do/don't for glass and vinyl maintenance in the windows. I am very impressed with this company and the whole team. Honestly this high level of service is not what you see in the service industry as of late. This review is long overdue but I wanted to give it some time after the installation to properly review the quality of the windows. Mike is excellent with communication. It was always an instant reply when I try to call or text him, and he will always explains in detail. He's got more patience with my questions than my husband. Like seriously. I wanted to make sure I get all the information about Anlin because I have seriously never even heard of them before this. This project was gonna involve all of my windows in the house so I was being extra cautious. Mike confidently asked me to seek other bids to make sure I'm getting quality and getting a good deal. This really made me feel different that he's not just another sells men. I felt very comfortable with the quote he's given me. Install was swift and painless. Less than 30 minutes into the workers showing up at my door, all of the old windows are knocked down and gone already. These guys mean business and they really hustle to get the job done on time. Now, I ran into an issue with the screen coming off just days after installation so Mike reached out on my behalf. Anlin ended up contacting me personally to setup a replacement, like, a 1-800 number that you actually don't need to wait long for someone to answer on another side! When the Anlin rep came out for the replacement, he too made me feel so confident in the brand. He was so knowledgeable of all the products they carry which further confirms to me that Mike and Anlin are truly on the same page. Both were super friendly and courteous - both making sure the paperwork and all other administrative tasks were clear and so that there was no confusion. They were quick to clear up any discrepancies and made sure that everyone was on the same page so that there was no confusion about pricing, the product we're getting, and to ensure our overall comfortability. The actual install itself presented a unique challenge, but Mitch, J.C., Willy, and Ray are the best. While installing one of our sliding glass doors, they discovered that the previous door had a really bad make-shift solution to cover up some really poorly done work. There was no way anyone would have known until they opened it all up, but the team was quick to find a solution at no cost to us. They repaired our stucco and made sure the door was finished with no added stress to us which was worth a tremendous amount to us when you're already spending so much. J.C. and Willy were super awesome - extremely experienced and made the day of the install feel like a breeze. They were busy all day installing 2 glass doors and 6 windows, but they were courteous the entire time and made sure to answer all of our questions. They treated our home like it was their own and cleaned up after themselves.
