Definitely a great job done, helped BIG TIME with a nasty problem caused by my former roommate: ongoing use of carpet powder which was actually making me ill! She knew what she was doing, too... some people are just that ugly unfortunately :( So when I got exceptionally thorough service on my carpet, I was *very* pleased. Definitely all smiles! Here's the thing, though... I wanted to be as happy with the carpet after it dried, but the next day, I just wasn't. That's why it's taken me a while (2 mos+) to write the review that I'd promised. Here's the thing: This carpet is very old & should honestly be replaced. Who am I kidding? It should've been replaced before I moved in! Wasn't because my landlords are quite frugal. I didn't tell the technician I was a renter & maybe I should've. I accept responsibility for that... it's been a touchy subject for me since losing my own house due to poor health. Point is, these carpets didn't handle the cleaning very well. In areas the tech went over repeatedly, they were noticeably stretched. Looks better since drying fully & more so since the furniture was put back in place. Yet this was a worrisome development because I'm not the owner. Even though the work was done with their approval, I didn't want to have to say: "I think there's a problem..." So, I delayed reviewing until I could be more certain there would be no serious ramifications caused by the cleaning. Everything appears to be just fine, and it's not even noticeable now. Still, it caused me more worry than I would've liked. Long story short: 99% of people probably wouldn't have ANY ISSUES, because they would *replace* a carpet this worn out. It's just, for me & any other renters in similar situations, a very thorough cleaning may have some side effects. If you're in a similar situation, be sure you tell them: I'm a renter, so please clean as well as you can/as gently as you can." Even with this issue, I'M STILL INCREDIBLY THANKFUL TO THIS COMPANY! Truth is, I may have gone into such detail that what happened has made readers more uneasy than I intended. End result is that I can *breathe* freely again, and without fearing for my safety! It's what I needed, more than anything else. That's why I deducted just the 1 star. Before OCD Cleaners, I'd learned continued use of that powdery deodorizer crud without effective vacuuming can be really dangerous, often leading to bacterial growth that's unsafe to breathe! I couldn't say for sure if there was a bacteria issue or not, but my roomie actually stopped vacuuming for the last 6mos she was here. UGH, it was disgusting... & I began feeling worse & worse. The situation was truly terrible! I've got weakened lungs thanks to a genetic condition + serious allergies, so even without bacteria, the carpet had become plenty dangerous enough to me! I desperately needed help with it -- good help! More importantly, if it'd been my own shabby old carpet, I honestly wouldn't have cared if it was a bit stretched in a couple spots so long as the technician got it as clean as possible. Bottomline: He really truly cleaned up the mess I was in, and for that, I'm *very* grateful! Now I know I can trust them, especially if I ever have a serious health-related need again. read more

Green cleaning and peace of mind! Jordan was an absolute pleasure and pro at what he does. He was punctual and showed up on time as scheduled. He was very thorough and patient in explaining things to me and attentive to my requests. One of my main concerns was the products used are environmentally safe so he took pictures for me and had Malissa send me the MSDS - very professional! Jordan was also very respectful of our home. When I told him we had our wood floors cleaned (we don't wear shoes inside) he immediately went to out on booties and was diligent in removing them and putting them on as applicable. We had 5 rooms and 2 stairs cleaned, it took 3 hours. Yelp doesn't allow 1/2 stars, but since Jordan was so awesome I'm happy to round up. A few of things for improvement are more communication regarding leaving windows open, turning on the AC and more realistic drying times. I needed to leave after the cleaning was over, but had to leave with all upstairs windows open since the carpet was wet. My original plan was to leave those windows that made sense to stay open, open. And leave them open overnight as I had read it takes 8-24 hours for carpet to dry. However he left all the windows open and I couldn't go up to close them. Fortunately he only turned on the downstairs AC which was still accessible so we were able to turn that off. Jordan assured me the carpet would be bone dry in 4 hours and that was quite far from the truth. When I returned 5 hours later, the carpet was still wet, even the rooms that had ample sun and airflow. Consequently we turned on the AC to help with removing moisture and will need to go back to turn it off. Word of advice: if you are moving in and starting with a blank slate, give yourself some cushion with an extra day or 2 for carpet to fully dry, it can only help. read more

Had our second carpet and rug cleaning with OCD a few months ago and the carpet Is still pretty clean. There are some spots that came back pretty badly by our patio door and in the dining room area, but considering that those are just 3 spots compared to the 8 or more that we had originally it's great work. In fact, I'm planning on calling in the next month to set up another cleaning. I do wish that they would move the furniture around and do those areas as well. We had another company do that each time, but the reason we don't use them was because of the multiple no shows we would get for our appointment times/dates. Do give OCD a 30 min leeway time though. Since it's only one person doing the carpet it can take some time for him to get there and set up. I do appreciate all the work he does, and he is always so professional and kind.
