Eek me thinks not. The good thing about this place is that it's open all year round. So if you come during the off season, you can find dinner here. Everything else I have nothing good to say. We tried the scallops and seared cod entrees. They were small mini scallops, and a bit overcooked. They were drenched in a sweet balsamic sauce. Too much sauce and too strong ! Scallops have a subtle oceany flavor that should not be masked with so much sauce. The cod was not really seared but maybe broiled or oven baked. No skin on it. And the sauce again was way overdone. This would all be passable if the place was priced accordingly. But these are $40 entrees. So the quality is unacceptable for the high price. read more

Great experience here. Host was friendly and kind and so was my server. LOVE all the gluten free options! Sat outside so can't beat the ambience when you're right on the beach. But back to the food...as a native Cape Codder who grew up eating clam fritters and fried seafood, I was devastated when I found out I could no longer eat such things (or gluten more generally). Enter Ocean 193 to save the day! Conch fritters and fried oysters were to die for (seriously, best I've ever had both pre- and post-gluten intolerance) and didn't make me sick afterwards. Came here with another couple. The best part was sitting outside. We were satisfied with most of the food and the service was very good.

Amazing service, food, wine selection, ambiance. The staff were remarkably knowledgeable about the menu and wine; very friendly and helpful with food/wine pairings; the service was prompt and the food came in a beautiful presentation. The seafood risotto was fantastic! The ambience was lovely with soft jazz playing in the background, in a beautiful setting on the water in Provincetown. We have had wonderful food in both Provincetown and Wellfleet this past week while on vacation, but our last dinner tonight was a step above them all. (Thanks to Lucinda for the recommendation after a great history tour with her.) It turns out Thursdays Ocean 193 has a great deal that includes your choice of starter, entree, and dessert. We each order different items and shared it all. Everything we tried was so delicious including such great oysters, the lamb shank and the most amazing lobster alfredo with a delicious broth not heavy sauce and cod, clams shrimp, and scallops along side a huge fresh lobster tail.. It was soooo good. We had lots of seafood this week and similar dishes but this beat it all. We shared an amazing lava cake not just average but the best, and still have a fruit Neapolitan we brought home. We will be back for sure and we would sit in the outside tent again right on the water with great views. Such a good way to wrap up a fun vacation. read more

The miss was the Fig flatbread, described as bland. Fig jam missing? Unsure. The waiter missed checking if more of it could be brought to the table. We were greeted by the manager and escorted to a table overlooking the ocean and under a canopy. We started with a conch appetizer followed by a flank steak with lobster tail and red snapper. Food was tasty. Service was very attentive. Wish it was open air instead of under a canopy, but still a very pleasant night out. read more

Went back today for lunch. It was wonderful. My son-in-law had the fish tacos, light batter, moist fish, really the best ever. My daughter Lori had a sushi appetizer that was kickass, my daughter Gerri and my daughter Inlaw Jazz had poke bowl, which they said was amazing. Napoleon for dessert was wonderful. This is a relaxed, classy atmosphere with seating facing the water. The entire place is open air with antique chandeliers and a really nice music mix on the sound. My pear pomegranate martini was delish. They serve these petit cheese muffins with oil and grated Parmesan dipping options. we enjoyed so much the chopped Greek salad with a toasted banana shell. Our main course was broiled Atlantic salmon with Israeli style grilled couscous flavored with mint and zucchini, topped off with a jalapeno puré. Our dessert was the mango creme brûlé. My partner and I came here for a late lunch yesterday and it was an ok experience. The place is beautiful and obviously either newly renovated or decorated. There's a platform or stage that they put seated tables on but I'd imagine they might use that space on a busier night for performances, which would be cool. It's right on the water so you get breathtaking views as well. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Now the food, unfortunately, was very subpar. My partner had the soft shell crab sandwich which had too much breading and was too greasy. I had the short rib sandwich which did not look appetizing at all. It came with a green papaya salad which were green papaya, bell pepper and carrots cut in Julienne which is rather thick considering the shredded short rib was much thinner and more delicate. The papaya salad also didn't add much to the flavor. Maybe if it was pickled, it could have added a nice acidity, but instead, it tasted like it was just cut and placed on top of the meat. The housemade chips which came with both dishes were thick, stale and very salty. It's a newer restaurant, pre-season and also late lunch, so I'd be willing to try again maybe once they've worked the kinks out. Maybe we just ordered the wrong dishes also. We saw many people at the bar enjoying themselves so it seems like this would be great for a cocktail with friends. For now, I'm giving it a 3. Hopefully, on my next visit I can change it to something better. read more

I enjoyed my meal! The staff was friendly and helpful. The menu was creative and fun, with a lot of classics alongside some dishes you won't find just anywhere. Since we're in the vanishingly small season for soft shell crab, I had that. It was delicious. Perfectly prepped, hot, juicy, crisp. The plantain chips it was served with were delightful. My favorite part of the meal, though, was the cocktail menu. Choosing cocktails was almost painful, because I knew I was leaving so much un-tried, and I wanted so many of them, so badly. My partner and I wound up with two each, and no regrets, though I'm wistfully waving after the things we couldn't try. Not enough days here, not enough meals. Maybe in years to come. I had an absolutely glorious dinner with the exception of a drunken man (with a very passive wife) screaming about his soup- AND Risotto. I happen to be also eating the risotto which was delicious and full of yummy lobster and scallops. This guy was so inebriated. He should've been thrown out of the restaurant. My wife and I walked in without reservations, and it was a little chilly -- off-peak -- so we were thinking of sitting inside. The hostess told the man who was going to seat us, I believe he was the manager, to "sell" us on sitting in the tent. Glad she did. Beautiful view/ambience, even with the plastic sides, but the food made the night. My wife is vegan, and they had a vegan pre-fix, which is rare. We both had the pre-fix, and loved them. We live in beautiful Provincetown and each year we rate our top five restaurants, and there are a lot of them here. Ocean 193 is definitely in our top five! This space went from nightclub to jazz club to an amazing restaurant and is the perfect fit for this space. We were greeted by a very friendly and professional staff, Frank as the host. Unfortunately we didn't have a reservation. He said "let me walk around and see what I can find". He asked if a high-top was fine we said sure. What he didn't tell us was their high-tops face the water with spectacular views of the bay. The full moon was rising off the horizon, not to be outdone by the incredible cocktails and food. Caesar salad for starters, I had the short rib pasta, David the swordfish. One of the best pasta dishes I've had. The warm peach pastry desert was amazing as well, our server, Gabby, said deserts were done in-house.
