Overall, the ambiance was not lacking. It was great atmosphere with the view. The service was much slower and we got to points with empty drinks and waiting to order another. The food was average and lukewarm when it made it to the table. We were recommended this joint by a local and honestly left disappointed and not very satisfied due to quality of food and service for the price. This was by far my favorite meal on STJ, maybe my favorite meal ever! We had a 6pm reservation and we were celebrating a friends birthday. We had a beautiful spot right on the rail to see the sunset. Our server, forgive me I forget her name, was very attentive. She took our drink orders and told us the specials of the day. The chef was able to make accommodations for things we wanted like having the snapper served the way the grouper special was made. For appetizer we had the bread basket with olive tapenade and butter. Bread was fresh and the tapenade was delicious without being too salty. Our friends ordered the scallops and said they were some of the largest they had ever seen. My husband ordered the lobster and conch cakes with polenta. He said it was quite good. For dinner we ordered the oxtail gnocchi on the recommendation of our server, the halibut dish, the snapper and the Caribbean lobster. The presentation of all dishes was wonderful but the lobster was spectacular!! The long beans and risotto were also cooked perfectly. For dessert we ordered the spiced apple pie, the key lime cheesecake and I had the house made passion fruit and guava sorbet. I have to say it was the best sorbet I've ever had in my life! Great appetizers and entrees. The view is a tad obstructed by the resort buildings that sit in front and not a lot of ocean breeze but the outside space were nice and quiet. The waitress was pulling bartending duties as well so the pace of food and drink orders were slower than I suspect is typical. We came here with a large party with a reservation. They took our temperature and asked we hand sanitizer, which I totally get at this point. Our server was charming and so sweet. Every thing we asked her, was not a problem even when the little one wanted pasta with butter. We ordered delicious food. The salmon dish was delicious but I tried a bit of my mother's pasta with some sort of beef ragu and was sooo tasty! But the winner was the ambiance. The view and sitting outside was perfect for an island dinner. Their cocktails were great too. My son loved the wagyu burger, a standout meal at our visit to St John's. For the third year in a row, Ocean 362 has been the highlight of our dining experience in St. John. While my preferred seating is in the third floor, the second floor still provides a beautiful view of the Caribbean sunset. Their was a new chef in town and he has recrafted the menu to really reflect a taste of the islands. Seven entrees, leaning heavily to seafood, but also offering a vegetable plate that was delightful. Others in my party enjoyed Mahi Mahi, Seared Tuna, and halibut (fish of the day), while I dove into the Roasted Cauliflower. The "whole grain porridge" listed was a wonderful pot of quinoa with veggies that was seasoned to taste like thanksgiving dressing- Delicious!!! Although I had expected a cauliflower steak, the mix of veggies on the plate was huge, nicely varied, and seasoned perfectly. For dessert, we all split a key lime pie-perfection. Of note on the desserts, new chef makes the house ice cream and sorbets on the menu, of which malted ball caught my eye! Last and not least, our waitress was amazing. This was our second year in a row receiving the attention of Agnes. She is so knowledgeable about the food, very pleasant, and is truly a delight to spend time with. We have been coming to St John's and Oceans 362 for many years. This was a miserable experience at this restaurant. We had to ask for service to order food and subsequently ask for every course to be served. Our reservation was booked at 5:30 and we arrived early, appetizers were not served until 7 and they had to be requested. Entrees had to be requested at 7:20 and all the dishes were cold and underwhelming. One of the most expensive and subpar dining experiences in St John's. read more

You can't come to St Johns without coming to Ocean 362. The food is the best on the island. The waitress was fantastic and helped is pick out a drink and a lovely fried chicken wing appetizer. The chicken was fried three times for ultimate crunch. It was unbelievable with a homemade ranch. We both ordered fish. My husband who hates zucchinis ate every single bite. The sauces we're so flavorful. The portions were large and worth every penny. The view is the best on the top floor. There is also a bar on the top floor. While visiting St. John we definitely wanted to enjoy one fancy night out and after reading the reviews and checking out the menu, reservations were made at Ocean 362. The restaurant is located on top of a hotel with an open atmosphere that was very inviting. We started with cocktails and a few appetizers, including the Mussels, Calamari Salad and Chicken Soup. All we're phenomenal and overall we were very impressed from the beginning. Unfortunately the bread was stale and service went down hill from there, extremely slow. But, we gave them the benefit of the doubt, being one of the nicer restaurants on the island they cooked everything to order and we definitely noticed that when the entrees came. Everyone enjoyed their meals and I can say my Lobster and Shrimp Ravioli was outstanding. Huge chunks of both, in a light, paper thin pasta covered in a cream sauce, heaven. Unfortunately we chose an after dinner cocktail instead of dessert, so can't weigh in there. Overall the food was outstanding, but know this is not an hour dinner, but more like a three hour dinner, if not more for group. read more

Beautiful sunset dinner views and great food and service. We ordered the tuna, the plantains, the burger (yum!!), and the steak salad. All of our food items were well prepared, beautiful and tasty! Our waitress, Jill, was attentive, friendly, and helpful. It is worth noting that the tables are in a building a bit removed from the ocean (not right up against the water), and the views are partially blocked by some of the Gallows Point units, but the experience was still delightful and we would return. Recommend bringing your SPF and shorts, as the sunset tables are pretty sunny until the sun comes down. read more

We really enjoyed our dinner at Ocean 362. Though we've been lucky enough to eat and visit St John for many years, we had never eaten at Ocean 362. I'm so glad we did! My husband and I had a lovely table for 2 that gave us a perfect view of the sunset. It was a beautiful evening. My husband and I both got 2 appetizers. We started with the salad (definitely get the garlic blue cheese bread!) and then I got the crab cakes. My husband had the lamb lollipops with a soy miso dipping sauce which he said was delicious. The appetizers were the size of entrees which was unexpected and great value for money. The food was fantastic and so was the wine! Our service was ok: there was a large table next to us so our server was quite busy but she did a decent enough job. We look forward to going back! read more

Atmosphere: Wonderful! My husband and I went here for the anniversary and got the balcony sitting. The sunset view was amazing. We really enjoyed our time here. The music they played was also great that my husband asked for the playlist. Service: The waitress was the chef's wife and she was friendly and fun to talk to. She had to go up and down the stairs to get to us, but did not complained at all. She was also very prompt and quick in her delivery of our food. We also cannot eat much and ordered one appetizer and one dish and the waitress served us the dish in two separate plate. Food: The fish was very fresh. We stayed at Gallow's point last year in St. John and were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. We had not tried it before as we used to stay elsewhere but all of the food was fresh, the service and drinks were good, and it was obviously super convenient to our accommodations. But the best tip is to actually get to the bar on the top floor - there is a really incredible view of the sunset (pictured here). You need to get there right when they open and ask to sit at the bar upstairs, where you can then have a few drinks and/or order dinner if you'd like. We will be back! read more

It was dry and I think it may have been frozen. Ordered scallop appetizer and got two scallops for $26. They were good but way over priced in my opinion. I think they have a captive audience that won't complain. Drinks were decent and likely commensurate for resort like this, although really bI didn't go for the drinks. View from bar is outstanding. We honestly picked this because it's conveniently located at our hotel. Great views at night, and the food is decent. Some parts were hit or miss, and everything was very heavy in oil / butter, but tasted pretty good (can't go wrong with butter...). Double bone pork chop: The pork meat was honestly a lot tougher than I expected, but the flavors were good. My fave part of the dish was actually the spatzle (German pasta) and the Brussel sprouts which were lightly crispy and buttery. Red snapper: The fish was tender and went well with the pineapple salsa. The skin was also really crispy and not too heavy. Overall this is a good spot if you are staying at Gallows Point resort, plus you get 10% off as a guest! read more

We had high hopes! The setting is magical. Our bar seats facing the sea were amazing. We had front row seats of a massive storm. Food was ok to bad; tuna tataki was good. Lobster tacos, dripping in fat and burned. The Korean chicken was dried out like sawdust. We also had to watch our bartender react throughout the night to the storm that was causing her great stress and angst and also her constant readjustment of her bazooka Joe face mask which clearly needed to be replaced with something more suitable and fitting. We had made reservations here as we are staying at Gallow Point & the concierge assisted us. We arrived 10 minutes early and the host said we had no reservations who also happened to be the Conceirge (maybe she's helping around the resort and has a lot on her plate). She also commented on our "early" arrival but said she could squeeze us in. The restaurant was empty with the exception of 1-2 other tables. We were sat in the back by the bar tender with a pillar blocking so no view. I was disappointed. We were supposed to have reservations at the "best view in town" We went ahead and tried to order some food. We started with the soup of the day and house focaccia bread. It was delicious. We then tried the burrata which was rather large but lacking much bread to eat it with. The ambiance at this time had not changed so we left to have dinner elsewhere. We will say that if you want to enjoy the incredible view over the water, try to book your reservation for the earlier seating. The ambience was upscale, we were seated on the top deck which was a bit boring (no music, quiet), but our server more than made up for it with her great recommendations and upbeat attitude. We do have very high expectations, and have tried the top 5 restaurants on the island already. What we had at Oceans 326 was the most tasty dinner we've had thus far. We had the gnocchi and shrimp lobster ravioli to start. Both dishes came out steaming hot and super tasty! We'd definitely come back just for these two dishes. Then we had the pork belly, lamb shank, and roasted chicken as our main courses. The pork belly came out in three very large generous chunks atop a bed of spaetzle. It was mouthwateringly delicious and perfectly seasoned. The lamb shank was also very tender and flavorful. The chicken was meh, a little on the dry side. Dessert was also just decent, nothing too special to write about (we tried the beignets, chocolate cake, and cheesecake.) Definitely a memorable dinner with very yummy food.
