    Green Machine Smoothie

Who would have known that my go-to coffee shop would be a drive up coffee shop! As there is no seating area, this review is based on the product, service, and value. The Bean Box is close to where I run lots of errands, so it is convenient to stop by after my gym class on weekends. I had been struggling with finding a coffee shop in the area, where I could get my iced coffee the way I like it. I have ordered my iced coffee there now several times. They have nonfat milk, as many places no longer have. They also have Splenda, my preferred sweetener. Finally, they have regular iced coffee, not simply cold brew. Last time I went, I also bought a green machine smoothie.... a healthy green smoothie that isn't too sweet, but is also not bitter. The menu has various coffee drinks, a few smoothies, açaí bowls, and several pastries. Service is friendly and fast. Prices are reasonable as compared to coffee shops in the area.

One of the best coffee stands in San Diego. I come from Washington where the coffee options are elite and this coffee stand is probably one of the only ones that is even comparable to ones in Washington. They also give dog treats haha

Small iced matcha with oat milk & Small iced chai with an extra shot. Our total was $11

Wanted to stop by since it looked like a cute and quick, tiny spot in the Baron's Market parking lot. *Beware they do not have the prices up on their menus. The matcha latte was okay, definitely was a latte mix so it was very sweet with a vanilla flavor, and not the ceremonial kind the matcha girlies are looking for. We also got the iced chai with an extra shot and it was so rich and dark! Service was great, two very nice ladies. Overall it was just a quick stop.

Very cute drive up coffee shop. Husband and I went around 11 am. I got the Mexican mocha , so yummy, reminds me of abuelitas hot chocolate. Husband got an ice coffee. Only one person working the stand so very personable and intimate. Will definitely come again!

Went here for the first time today and can't wait to go back! I got the lavender white mocha and it was a 10/10. Helena was very sweet and told me about their punch card program

Got a large cappuccino and tasted like milk that's it. I was very disappointed but I really needed a cup of coffee at 8 am.

    Apparently, an oat milk cappuccino.

EDIT: Thanks for the acknowledgment and response, Katryne! I appreciate and do not take for granted when a business listens to its customers and is committed to providing the best experience possible. ---- I paid $5 for a medium oat milk cappuccino that was thoroughly disappointing. On the first sip, I knew it was more latte than cappuccino: the amount of foam was wrong. Worse, after I continued drinking, I noticed that the drink left a chalky aftertaste. I opened the lid and lo and behold, there are white bits floating around in the drink. I have no idea what dairy alternative they used but it certainly isn't oat milk.

You can't really beat the refreshing taste of fresh fruit and nutty granola and butter. Especially when you can take this delectable bowl to the beach and just vibe in the sand. Wave Bowl $16 (14.50+1.50): 5/5 The bowl itself looks fairly small like, but deceptively so since I was stuffed after eating the whole thing for breakfast. It is higher cost than I would usually spend but I don't eat açaí bowls to know the average. Personally I really liked that the toppings were at the bottom and the bases were on top, not just because it was a beautiful display but because sometimes when it is the opposite, it can quickly get messy with toppings falling and dropping. The granola was crunchy and the add-on nut butter ($1.50) was plentiful and contrasted well to the fruits. You get some finely diced strawberries and bananas that were just the right amount of ripe, the bananas a little more firm but definitely preferred with the bases. The pineapple spirulina was favorite as it had a good sweetness to it. Honestly wished I could get a bowl with just this as a base and of course the natural blue color is just so unique. Coconut was coconutty and the pitaya was brightly colored, not too much distinctive taste on this one. Peak San Diego Experience

In this case yes the bowl was OK was but was no better than the 3 other bowl places within a mile of this location. The wait was LONG as for many of the bowl places on this street but this one was extra long as in 45 minutes to an hour wait on off hours long. And of course with all these tik tok famous places the price was inflated. Based on taste alone I could have given this place 4 starts but the extra tik tok tax(inflated price just for being TikTok trendy) and extra wait time for the exact same thing you can get anywhere else rubbed me wrong so I'm going to have to leave this 3 star right here.

This little store is inside the Bakeshop by Coco Playa so the sign is hard to spot. They sell açaí bowls (in a cup) and smoothies + Brazilian cheese bread :) The acai is smooth and creamy, and I liked how it was sweet (honey added) and didn't melt very quickly. Super tasty! They do a good job layering on the toppings and making the cup look pretty. There's an option to do half acai and half coconut sorbet; the sorbet was super sweet and packed a punch of coconut flavor-- so good and refreshing! The blueberries seemed thawed from frozen so some of them were still frosty but they were still sweet. MT really enjoyed the pistachio butter too. They did away with their Tuesday special of unlimited toppings, but now you get unlimited regular toppings everyday with regular+ sizes. Premium options (like protein powder, pistachio butter, almond butter, goji berries, etc) come with an additional cost. Definitely pricey but a special, fun, and tasty treat! We enjoyed Açaí Carioca so much we went 3 times in a week! This location has better parking (a shopping plaza lot), was less busy, friendlier service, and had a few seats outside compared to their other location. If you're craving a refreshing and somewhat healthy treat, check this place out!

Prices can really stack up though, so I just stick to the basic toppings. I got a half acai/half coconut sorbet cup with all the fruits and coconut shavings. It's SO good, I highly recommend the coconut sorbet to any coconut fan! The texture and flavor of real açaí here is so amazing, completely a different experience from any of the other açaí places. That makes this my favorite açaí spot I've tried so far in San Diego. The Brazilian bread is super addicting as well!

Waited for about 5 minutes and was greeted by a gentleman who took my order I got a decaf, dirty, iced vanilla chai. It was good but not a lot of chai flavor. Not overly sweet which is good I also ordered the ham and cheese stuffed croissant. I think they just warm it up. And I think it was overdone. The cheese had come out and was burnt, which is OK cause I like burnt cheese. But the end of the croissant was hard and edible. Overall it's a great option if you're local and looking for a cafe that's walkable with lots of seating. But I wouldn't go through the effort of finding parking to visit. To the business owner: I have a handicap placard that was clearly visible in my windshield. But I'm happy that you showed other customers who are as a business owner and why they should not frequent your business. As you can see from my picture the croissant was not edible. Address that instead of worrying about the parking and making false claims online. Thanks
