Stayed here during Covid, and I understand the resort needs to limit amenities, but it was disappointing to go to the pool and learn it was a 1hr, 45 min wait to swim, and the private beach was only limited to guests staying at the mansion. Also, I couldn't book a dinner reservation on the outside terrace until 8:30pm, although I tried booking the res four days in advance. Luckily, for this visit, we didn't pay top dollar for our room, and I may consider coming back another year in the future when we're through the pandemic. The Ocean Edge Resort has everything you're looking for. Golf course, private beaches, Pools, Tennis courts, indoor pools, ponds, great restaurants, gym, etc.... Wait! That is just inside the resort! Brewster town is simply adorable! You can rent bikes and go for bike rides on the bike trails for almost 20 miles! This resort is beautiful, well kept! The service is fantastic, not to mention accommodations! If you are looking for a family gateway or just for two, this is the place to be! Love it! read more

This location is squeezing as many people on the resort as possible while limiting the number of people in pools and activities. Understand that they want to make some lost revenue but it shouldn't be at the expense of the guests. Go to the pool only to find out - nope it's to Covid capacity and they'll call us back. Go to the beach only to find out nope - that beach is not for the entire resort but we can shuttle you elsewhere. Get a room close to the pond for kayak and SUP boards only to find out - nope the website lies. This resort is overhyped and has a lot of false advertising. I would also like to note that they have very few accommodations for families larger than 4. We had to go to the annex facility located down the road. They have a pull out sofa bed for our larger family. This bed is very odd and much too short for teenage boys. The a/c units are very loud and turn on and off as continuously as 'energy efficient'. We have no intention of returning to this establishment and will not be recommending it to anyone in the near future. read more

Once again a very disappointing experience at the Ocean Terrace. We want to like this place but they make it difficult. Although there seemed to be plenty of staff the service was slow and the staff did not seem to be well trained. It took almost 10 minutes for our waitress to acknowledge us then another 10 minutes to get 1/2 of our drink order (a Manhattan Made with Jameson? without the cherry )and then a few more minutes for our bottle of wine. Our appetizer order was actually given to the party next to us and when we finally got 2 out of 3 apps the waitress was no where to be seen. After finishing our 2 apps our waitress appeared and laughed when she realized the mussels were not delivered. We finally concluded it wasn't worth our time to order entrees. Bottom line is it's great setting but the staff training severely lacks and made us wonder why we came back again. read more

Winter retreat and then some. We went down during February vacation and had a very nice stay in light of the fact that there was a blizzard. The food on site was very good especially the breakfast buffet in the mornings. The Bayzo pub has really good food but it's service is hit or miss. We had the same waiter a couple of times and he was hit or miss. In fact his name could have been hit or miss. Overall the experience at Ocean Edge with kids activities, game room, movies, and the pool, and the pleasant staff made it a great Valentines Week respite definitely worth the trip, and we hope to be back next year. read more

Very sad to say we had a very disappointing stay at Ocean Edge. They are certainly not ready to reopen after COVID. The wait staff just stood around without direction at the outdoor restaurant. We waited 10 minutes at our table just to be welcomed while another table was served that sat after us. The next day the resort could not handle the weddings, overflow of guests, and the regular guests. One of the staff actually said to us in a very ugly manner "good luck to you". A manager left a message on my cell that he was not on sight and he would call back on Monday. This is not service! I recommend not staying here until the establishment gets back on their feet. My recommendation is togo to the Pelham House or Chatham Bars INN if you want good service! read more

This place was ok. We stayed on the Villages side of the resort for a weekend. Pros: -close in proximity to the mansion and beach area -private -quiet -nice inside Cons: -Buildings show much more wear than the mansion side -Indoor pool was far away and super lame--cold water -No ramps to be found-carrying luggage down wooden steps is rough -no room service -kind of a trip to "Linx" restaurant, but that was ok because they have bad ratings on yelp and we decided not to go anyway :/ The shuttle service is a nice touch, it still seems a bit detached from the mansion side of things. We had to reschedule because a hurricane was heading straight to the Keys and when I called about cancelling we were told we would not get our deposit back. Security was questionable. Only came for drinks a few times at the Terrace bar, the beach bar and the Roscommon room. My experience was overwhelmingly positive with the only negative being the higher prices for drinks. This is a place where you go for one special drink, but I wouldn't stay here all evening. Valet is the easiest option when parking here, although in the past, valet wasn't always offered so you could easily self-park. If you're anywhere in the area, stop by for a drink and take in the sunset at the terrace bar. read more

Amazing weekend getaway from New York City. All things considered in today's world, I couldn't have asked for anything more. A little bit of a unique feeling for a vacation with all of the social distancing posters and conditions, but it made for a very safe feeling throughout the weekend. Great food, great views, and most importantly great staff in these hard times. The hotel has clearly made some innovative offerings to provide guests the most fun out of their great lawn. Evenings with music, socially distanced private tents, and a great pizza oven with a solid beer selection for families to enjoy. If you're feeling worried about leaving the safety of your home but craving some sort of vacation feel, there is no better spot to choose. read more

The Igloo and Ice Bar experience was a train wreck! We reserved an Igloo for an hour and a half for an Anniversary family gathering. When they say an hour and a half they meant it. Even if it takes 40 minutes to get your drink order correctly, which in our case it did. The highly toted "Hot Toddies" were nothing more than a cup of tepid water with a shot of whiskey and a slice of lemon. My wife's "Virgin Hot Toddy" was just tepid water and lemon. If we wanted anything else, it didn't matter, because the next time that we saw our waiter was five minutes before our time was up. We decided to have dessert in the restaurant . The waiter seated us in the Ice Bar restaurant and took our dessert orders including drinks. That was the last time we saw him for 35 minutes. Someone brought us our desserts in 20 minutes, minus our drinks. No one ever brought us our drinks. Finally, my son went up to the bar and asked where our drinks were. She said, "What drinks?". Apparently our elusive waiter never put the drink order in. A person, who appeared to be the manager, walked right by us a number of times. He ignored us, we kind of felt like we were Patrick Swayze in the movie "Ghost", invisible. Because of the poor service and the high price tag for the evening, BUYER BEWARE! read more

Better yet, If you're looking to Pay 600$ a night for a motel 8 style room, and a three drink minimum at the bar just to be cut off because the staff "can't handle the volume", then you've come to the right place. Our first night was horrible. We reserved a room in the Villages. I called 3x several days before and asked to be close to other family, they assured us we would be close. We were both in Arbor Village, so yes we were relatively close, however they were all in one unit and we were at the opposite end. Disappointing but fine. Our actual room was the issue. The bathroom was in poor condition, clean but needed upkeep. Paying over $400/ night for a room that "sleeps 4" is laughable. The beds consisted of a "queen" that felt like a double and a pull out couch that a drunk college student could sleep on. It was horrible. To top it off BEWARE they allow dogs. Now personally I love dogs, but I DON'T want someone else's dogs barking all day and night and scaring my kids every time we open a door. There was also a LARGE urine stain from the entry way all the way to the rooms. After mentioning it to management- after 2 days it was still not cleaned. I attempted to speak to management on my 2nd day to express my concerns, but they did not call my back after 12 hours. Finally on our 2nd day management called back and offered to move our room, by then it was 8pm and to late to move. When we did move our new room (in the unit next to my family as I had originally requested) was 10/10 better. The bed was nicer, the pull out couch mattress much newer. Pillows, everything was an improvement and clean and no dogs. :) Management did give us access to their private beach which was also nice. The Mansion which we did not stay at but did have a few meals at was lovely. The mansion seems worth it. The grounds are lovely and the staff friendly and the private beach is a dream with staff helping you with towels, chairs and umbrellas and of course bar service so that was truly nice. Had our rooms been in good condition and updated from the start I'd rate a 4/5. Overall I wouldn't pay top $$ to stay again. If there was a sale it is definitely worth $300/ night but unfortunately taxes and resort fees put you out a lot more so to each their own. Simply too $$ for a NON luxury resort on the Villages side. read more

A beautiful place to dine overlooking the water is The Terrace Restaurant. We lunched there on a bright sunny, breezy day. The food was tasty but a bit underwhelming for such a beautiful setting. The pace of service was certainly not rushed which gave us plenty of time to enjoy the setting. It did look like a wonderful place for afternoon drinks and munchies. Extremely Disappointed. The Frost Bar and website request you use Open Table to make a reservation. My girlfriend was planning on proposing to me the night the reservation was made. Big deal. She made a reservation through open table and requested a bottle of champagne be at the table when we arrived. She also mentioned in the reservation that there would be a proposal. When we arrived, they didn't have a table for us in the frost bar, and put us in the bar inside. There was no champagne. This is not where she requested. After she popped the question, she explained why she was upset that this establishment didn't deliver what she asked for when making the reservation. I went to find the manager and asked for an explanation. He listened but blamed this entirely on open table. Told me I should call their customer service. He never once apologized, took any ownership of the problem, or acknowledge that this was an important night and a couple just got ENGAGED. Really just completely snubbed me off. Led me to believe if we weren't a same sex couple, this would have been different. Definitely upheld their reputation. Never going back. read more

This place is beautiful and the staff is very friendly and helpful. And they have the best smelling soap I've ever tried. It's clean and easy to get around. My three star review is ONLY based on accessibility for people with disabilities in the bathrooms of the hotel room. My aunt that I was part of our group on vacation and she needs to use a shower chair. The hotel had no issue switching her room when the first room was no as accessible as we thought. The shower chair and the floor are WAY to slippery for someone who is a little unsteady. I know it's probably harder to clean but please please please switch the shower chairs to regular plastic gripping ones. The ones in the shower now are a pleather material and get very slick when wet. read more

The apartment was dirty, beer cans in the patio, the floor not vacuumed, tv controller dirty (but inside this covid plastic bags), tissues under the bed. Door just filthy. 3. No access to beach, tennis courts or other hotel facilities. They provide a shuttle bus to a public beach, but with smal kids and multiple stops this is for sure not an option for us. The public beach is far from restaurants etc, so you kind of need your car. 4. Only one place to eat breakfast before 11 am - you have to drive 15 min to dine elsewhere. I was disappointed. I stayed in the Villages from Sunday, August 16 - 18, 2020. I had noisy neighbors above me both nights. I called to request a room change but was unable to move. I called again to complain about the noise again and reception stated they would send security. The noise did NOT stop. The wifi was problematic and I called. Reception told me they would have tech reset it but still, I had issues. I could NOT receive nor make phone calls and had to go to my car to do so. I was in the process of making an offer on a condo and this was so stressful. Thirdly, I requested a late check-out to noon, and four employees knocked on my unit interrupting me before noon. My husband and I had our ceremony, reception and cocktail hour at Ocean Edge on September 7th. We worked very closely with Pamela Nasuti throughout the entire process. She was extremely helpful throughout the whole time. Most notably she was a rockstar when we learned that it would be raining for a portion of our wedding weekend. Pam had great backup plans for everything and did a great job assuring us it would all be okay, which of course it was thanks to her help! Congratulations to the marketing department, because the fancy website and videos tricked me into paying $600/night (with tax) for a mansion room in August. Our odd-numbered west wing room had a beautiful view of a parking lot. We could have been in any cape cod motel with this view. Staff and facilities were lovely. So while I can say this definitely wasn't what I was expecting when we got here, the staff did everything they could to try and make the stay comfortable. I was here for a work meeting and after my company forked out $400/night for a villa, I was shocked that we were in one of the dated villas and not the mansion. The room, primarily the carpet was in pretty bad shape. My meetings coordinator called and tried to get us moved, as did I, but this was the weekend of all weekends apparently, and they were at maximum capacity with no cancellations. However, they did send a cleaning crew to the villa and cleaned everything including shampooing the carpets. Additionally, they even let us park my Tesla at the maintenance housing to charge it overnight. While I wasn't thrilled with things upon check-in, the staff turned this from a 1-star to a 3. Had we been moved to a better spot it would have been higher, but they really need to put some love and money into the village apartments. read more

We stayed in The Villages units in late April . The location on the cape was good. Lots of walking paths on property. The golf course was very nice and not busy at this time of year. The only units that are dog friendly are in The Arbor village units. Dogs are not welcome at the Mansion or in other villages. The unit itself was clean but very outdated. The appliances in the kitchen were old and not functioning correctly. There were very few essentials in the kitchen so do not plan on much cooking. Lots of restaurants are still closed in April so a well stocked kitchen would have been nice to have. The TVs were small and very old. Wifi and cell phone service was poor. We learned that other villages had king beds and much larger TVs. I'm not sure about the kitchens. If they invest in upgrading the units across the board it would be a very comfortable place to stay. The quality of the unit at the Arbor would not warrant summer rates at all. Seems like the dog friendly units have less to offer than others. The restaurant on property at golf course, the Linx , was not that great. Food was mediocre and overpriced. read more

We recently stayed at this resort and would like to comment on OUTSTANDING food served at the restaurant and their wait staff. The food was great, very fresh, nicely presented, served at its proper temperature even when brought out to the outdoor patio, which was a bit away from the kitchen. My husband and I loved the halibut dish, Cod, Mussels, beef tacos, and a few others we tried and really enjoyed. Given the shortages of staff everywhere, all resort's restaurant wait staff did a great job, with good attitude, flexibility, and serving with a smile. Would like to note one specific server from Jamaica, Nelly, who served us on our first night at dinner, and who we specifically sought out on every subsequent visit at lunch and dinner. We did not actually stay here. We made a reservation based on a promotion, which was a villa stay, away from the main amenities. We decided to make the reservation as we had always wanted to stay here. However, the more we thought about it we decided that it was not how we wanted to visit the resort. We decided to cancel, and did so within an hour of making it. Both the reservation and the cancellation were done over the phone. When we received our credit card statement, we were reimbursed for the room less $25. This amount is called a "commitment fee", and as we noted upon closer review of the emailed confirmation that it was in fact mentioned that if reservation is cancelled 8 or more days prior to scheduled arrival. (If less than 8 days, you forfeit 100% of the cost of the room, fees, taxes.) After reading the reviews here about the villas, we believe we made the right decision, but BEWARE OF THESE FEES. It costs $25 to process a cancellation within 1 hr of making it? Give me a break. read more

A very underwhelming experience. Recently attended a wedding here. It rained. Not their fault but what happened after was. We were taken from the ceremony venue to the reception venue by vans. Umbrellas held over our heads to get to the van. Van dropped us NEAR the reception venue- no umbrellas or tenting- walked in our nice clothes in the rain. The venue was beautiful but nothing else was. Had to leave the building to use restrooms - in the rain - with no umbrellas or tenting provided. Had to traverse a muddy path covered over with wooden slats which when stepped on sunk and water rose up over your shoes. Clearly they have had this problem before and have done nothing to fix it. One toilet overflowed. Also was not handicap accessible. A wheelchair could not cross the slats. The bride's dress was soaking wet and left slippery wet marks on the dance floor. No attention paid to this by the venue. The open bar was poorly stocked. The food - abysmal. Had stuffed lobster tail (which was OK) with tenderloin medallion so tough you couldn't chew it. Served with almost raw asparagus and almost steamed fingerling potatoes (supposed to be roasted). This was not what was expected at this venue. Clearly relying on a prior reputation. It is not inexpensive to hold a wedding here and all had been looking forward to the occasion. It was disappointing - to say the least. Thank goodness it didn't dampen the emotions of why we were there that day - to celebrate the love of a wonderful couple who did not deserve the treatment they and their guests received. Don't book a wedding here. Spend the same extravagant amount and book at Chatham Bars Inn instead. A much better venue. Gave it the one star because the reception room was nicely decorated. read more

Planning a wedding at the Ocean Edge Resort in Brewster, MA on the Cape?? Think again. Brides Beware! I recently went there for a wedding for a friend of mine. Let me tell you a little of what you can expect if you choose to go forward with the ill advised mistake of having your nuptials here. Every worker at the resort I came into contact with was simply unaccommodating. Some of them may have been nice- but it did not mean that my stay with them as a guest meant a bit of difference. They were in some cases deliberately unhelpful. Also, everyone seems to be surprised you are here for the wedding you are paying them to host. It was completely disorganized from the staff side. Some examples: - I stayed at the resort to ensure I would be on time for the wedding. My room was about $350. The wedding was at 5PM, official check in at 4PM. I called ahead for an early check in and they said they could not guarantee it- but to try for it and call them when I left for the cape which I did. I got there and though my room was not ready- they said it would be within 30 min and invited me to have lunch at their restaurant. TWO and A HALF hours later, I had to pay the cash I brought for the wedding for their restaurant instead of charging it because I was not in the system yet- and went back down to check in....the time: 3:45. A litany of excuses and the time became 4:15- then 4:30- 30 minutes beyond their OWN check in time. My friend's wedding ON their premises is in thirty minutes- across the resort. I beg them for a different room. I tell them I don't care if the bed is made. I beg them for any room with a shower and mirror. Finally I get my keys. I pull off a miracle and get myself showered and ready in 20 min (ladies, you know what a miracle I speak of). I had to finish my makeup in the car and go in through a side door just to see her walk down the aisle. - In the room (not that I saw much of it while I flew through to get ready) they forgot to put a mat in the shower so my boyfriend and I almost broke our necks. There was no rug or floor towel so the rest of the bathroom became a swamp. And they seem to have forgotten amenities or do not provide. Also- though there was no food in the kitchen- there were sugar ants. Great...bugs in the room. Just what every $350 dollar room should have! - The room my friend got married in was off her reception hall. It was a beautiful ceremony marred only by the fact that "Ocean Edge" apparently does not believe in cooling systems. It was easily over 80 degrees in the ceremony room. Not sure how my friend dealt with it in the dress. Not just in that room either... A room she was doing her pictures in before the wedding got so hot that she fainted! - Then we went to the reception room. Also, inadequately cooled. When her family and guests went to request more AC they were ignored. Sure it was hot out- but it's July on the cape....GET AN AC UNIT THAT WORKS! - Hungry for late night munchies? Too bad- this resort has no services for people who want food after 10PM. Bring a sandwich and don't let the ants in the room get to it. - The next morning I went to complain and was told, rather abrasively, that this resort runs six wedding per weekend, and they are not surprised by anything we have told them- and that these things happen. Not even an excuse, just blatantly not caring that their patrons are having a bad experience at their place. - To add even more insult- I found out later that my friend tried to call to complain about the heat in the reception room. The VP of marketing himself said he did not care and there was nothing he could do. He accepted no responsibility and when she brought up the fact that she fainted- he had the temerity to blame her CORSET . In closing- don't pay through the nose for the location which is the only thing this place has going for it. It is overpriced and staffed poorly all the way to the top. Once your check clears- bride or guest- they will not care about you one bit. And if anything goes wrong on your special day- that is on you and you alone- Not exactly the kind of care you want on your wedding day. read more

Ocean Edge is a sort of resort in Brewster that caters to weddings and corporate getaways. It features a "Mansion" at the top of a hill overlooking the bay with meeting rooms, a ballroom and a tavern. At the foot of the hill are condo-like townhouses and a tennis court. Inland, across the street about a quarter of a mile away are associated clusters of cottages, a pool and a "Jack Nicklaus-designed" golf course, LOL. This place is put together like some guy sketched it on a napkin, wrote a check for $30 million and said "Build it." On the surface it looks alright, but on the inside everything is wrong. The first problem is the beach. If you are in one of the cottages, to get to the beach you have to wait for a shuttle bus, ride in the bus for 10 minutes until you get to the Mansion, walk 150 yards down a hill, then walk another 50 yards on a boardwalk through a swamp. Everything else in the resort follows this basic pattern of dysfunction. For example, the cottages look nice on the outside and on paper seem wunderbar with their walk-in kitchens, but once you move-in, you realize your mistake. Everything is cheap construction. The doors all stick. The walls are made out of paper. Moldings are cheap and crooked. The patio wood is crumbling. The view out the back is of nothing. Electrical sockets don't work. Every hook, latch and piece of hardware is so cheap they almost break off in your hand. The lamps are all fitted with 3-way sockets and 3-way bulbs, but the switches are 2-way, so when you turn the lamps on you only get the lowest (50-watt) setting! I think they must have been ripped off by their Chinese supplier who sold them 500 defective lamps. I had to put two such lamps on my desk so I could even read. The rooms were also really noisy. It was 72 degrees and perfect all night, but for some godforsaken reason all the air conditioners were running full blast anyway and there was no way to turn them off. By the end of the night I was looking for a fire axe so I could put that goddamn fan out of its misery. By the end of my trip I was thinking, "Yes, now I remember why I never go to the cape." It was like that movie "Gravity" with Sandra Bullock where she says "I hate space," except for me it is "I hate the Cape." My greatest fear is that after the Chinese invade the US and take us over they will make all the hotels just like Ocean Edge. read more

PLEASE STAY AWAY !!!!! First, Ocean's Edge is pretty darn liberal. Our bay view room (which we in the end did not get) wouldn't have mattered because it overlooked a parking lot, trees, houses and maybe, just maybe you may see a smidgen of blue water. Secondly, our garden view over looked a parking lot and we couldn't open our door to the deck due to a) the air conditioning units for the mansion being so loud and b) the amount of noise being generated by 3 weddings. Third, our room was musty and hard to breathe in so we needed to stay away from the room as much as possible. When we asked about another room they said there were no others, even though on line we could see numerous room types available. Fourth, the motor lodge feel of the room and hotel was something to be desired. I usually don't complain about price in a review as we all go into our stays with our eyes open but for $300 plus taxes and resort fees - I can think of dozens of places on the Cape worth the money - or Four Seasons or a Ritz -Carlton for just a little more that would be unforgettable in a good way. And if you don't care about 1st class treatment or rooms, then still stay away as this place is not worth the money. The hallways smell, the room smelled, the tub had grout falling out and rested on the floor of the tub, I didn't take my socks off when walking on the carpet. Fifth, I mentioned the weddings - the Mansion is beautiful and the front lawn is amazing - but clearly that is all - this place is set up for functions. Sixth, we didn't eat here but we had dessert and drinks in the pub. Nice little pub. If the cheesecake is any indication of the food - run away. It was like a mini cupcake of Philly Cream Cheese that had been sitting in a metal tin until served. It tasted awful anyways, but the metal after taste was the kicker. We had paid for three nights and after two nights we were done and we got out of Dodge. Check in disaster. Restaurants all bad food and service. Service non-existent throughout. They never answer phone. You can't get anything you need. Period. It's long in the tooth. I posted a trip advisor review and got a call from a fake manager promising me 2 free nights to take my review down!! He of course never sent me the free nights! I refused to take down the review. We were also promised $50 at check in because our room wasn't ready until 6pm when checkin is at 4! read more

-asked for check-in and room preferences the night before but completely ignored them (chose check in time of before noon and chose preference of preferred view but our view was a parking lot) -waited four hours for the room to be ready even though we were told it would be ready shortly (when we checked in), if you told us the truth at noon we wouldn't have spent four hours sitting and waiting for the room (every hour someone told us it would be ready shortly), when the front desk lady asked us what she could do to help the situation, we said we wouldn't mind a round of drinks on the house while we waited and she just chuckled and ignored the request -outdoor pool was closed for a private function, wouldn't have even stayed here if we knew that, front desk didn't bother to mention that when we checked in, we were looking forward to the pool all day but instead spent our time waiting for our "almost ready" room and by the time we were finally checked in and went to the pool it was closed -had to wait 20 min to sit at the ocean terrace for lunch even though there were several open tables -AC in our room didn't work properly -no water bottles in the room -called the front desk to ask for a taxi and they wouldn't call it for us, they tried to give me the number to call myself but I couldn't write in down because there was no pen or paper in the room -overall, my friends and I were very disappointed in our stay considering we paid $505 for one night, it seems the hotel focuses on the wedding guests at the expense of the other hotel guests, I'm definitely going to recommend to my friends that they DON'T stay here and I will never come back -very poorly run and was such a disappointment considering the grounds are beautiful read more

I don't know why so many people complain about the Ocean Edge. It's pretty incredible, except for the Matthew Moore, Resort Manager, who is not in the least incredible. Upon driving up around the "great lawn" as we called it, referencing Central Park, you instantly feel like you are in the lap of luxury. We had no issues with check in and our room was Gorgeous! AND spacious! Private Balcony, Powder Room (a girl's Dream!) and a huge oval tub! - PLUS (+) * Note: The Powder room area smelled like feces, no other way to put it. We couldn't locate the source but the wafts of odor were not to be missed. It was very slight but definitely noticeable. - MINUS (-) We walked to the beach which seems far but really isn't. Beware the Sand Flies, the itch is worse than a mosquito bite! Yet the little red bites are so tiny! This is only while the sun is setting and is normal for any beachgoer. The Sand flats are amazing, they seem to go out forever at low tide, you can walk out and sit or lay down and enjoy being where, only moments ago, was an entire body of water. - PLUS (+) We actually got engaged right here, on the isolated Sand Flats in complete privacy. It was very romantic, I'm a lucky girl! Forgot a toothbrush, the front desk delivered it and would not accept a tip - PLUS (+) We asked the front desk for a USB cable to transfer our Camera Images so we can inform family and friends and they gave us a blank look. Nooo idea what that was. Hard to believe. I called IT and he thought it was funny the front desk didn't know what a USB cable was and said sorry he can't help us (though he hinted he could) he could only help us with Internet. - MINUS (-) The Hotel hosted a BonFire for guests with S'mores. Stale graham crackers but hey, it's free! - PLUS (+) We headed back to our room to Wash up for our engagement dinner after a day at the beach. Hot Water ran out 5 min into showering. ICE COLD! - MINUS!!! (-) Every room has a card ... " grateful for you feedback... satisfaction is my only priority... contact me directly..." So I called the Resort Manager - Matthew Moore. Left a message about the Hot Water being out. He never cared to call back. - MINUS (-) The hotel had rooms which were not affected. They did not offer to change our rooms or offer us Shower means. We were informed they were looking into it. - MINUS (-) The hotel staff is incredibly nice. I would like to single out the Lady at the Tennis Rental and Guys at the Bike Rental shop. Incredible. - PLUS (+) I fell off a bike and scraped up my knee pretty bad. Asked the front desk for a first aid kit. None. They offered me a bandaid. They also found some antiseptic spray a guest left behind. I accepted it and later saw blood (not mine) on it. - MINUS (-) There is no food served (aside from Room Service) after 9pm - MINUS (-) Outdoor Pool was to open at 10am, we got there - no one. Pool was filled with bugs. Oh well. Jumped in anyways. - MINUS (-) Outdoor Ocean Terrace bar is Beautiful, the Bartender from NY cool and the drinks strong. Loved the Watermelon Margarita! - PLUS (+) Overall, aside from the knitpicking, Ocean Edge really is Beautiful. You'll definitely feel like you are on vacation here. So even with all the Minus's I'd still give it a strong 3 stars. read more
