I'm sure they do good work and maybe this was a one off, but this was my experience…read more Popped in today 5/24/2026 around 3 pm to replace a lost 16 gauge segment/seemless/clicker ring for recently pierced upper/2nd lobe. The person assigned to assist me (I don't recall names/faces well) put the new segment/seemless/clicker ring in the lower lobe/1st instead of the upper/2nd lobe spot. I don't now how they missed the 2nd lobe because I had a light blue plastic place holder in the 2nd lobe so it wouldn't close up, we talked about it to confirm which one it was, and they saw me take the blue plastic out. Yes, I should have asked for a mirror once they finished to confirm they did it correctly but I trusted they knew what they were doing. I didn't notice, my friend pointed it out a bit after I left the shop, my friend moved it into the correct spot for me. Customer service was normal when I first went in but I didn't feel like driving back, finding parking, and blah blah blah over this. Think this was the breakdown, they didn't provide a receipt and I paid cash. Cost was $30 for the sterilized segment ring, $5 for the service, and I gave a $5 tip.

Give yourself 30-40 mins minimum to find a spot!! Store - it's located at the edge of the main Abbott Kinney rows of stores. Clean, bright, lots of employees helping customers. It's Valentine's Day so it's busy busy! Piercing Studio - Marley was FANTASTIC! I was late to my appt by an hour - traffic horrific & parking horrendous. However, Marley gave up her lunch break to accommodate me. She explained clearly what she was going to do at this follow-up. It was to replace the flat back to a shorter one since it's healing well. It took less than 3 mins & no pain or tugging. Marley told me The Americana location is hiring a new piercing professional & Piercing Studio will reopen ver soon! Overall, I would recommend any Mejuri location as customer service is top notch! Their jewelry is modern & has clean, crisp look to them. I initially found Mugsey online on Instagram. I admired his work and reached out to him via DM. After a couple of messages about what I was interested in, Mugsey invited me in for a consultation. I came in and further discussed my idea. The first thing that instantly stands out is the cleanliness of the studio. I was greeted warmly by the woman and the front desk who promptly grabbed Mugsey from the employee room in the back. Mugsey showed me a couple of ideas, and I scheduled my appointment. Due the size of the piece I wanted, I needed to schedule 2 days. Mugsey blew me away with his attention to detail. My chest piece of a Tiger came out even better than I could have ever imagined. I HIGHLY recommend Mugsey as an artist, and after spending 15 hours in the shop ALL of the artist there are extremely friendly, professional, and talented. I can't say enough about the experience. This will be my second tattoo with Carlos this year and my first tattoo at Iron & Ink. First and foremost, Carlos is an amazing artist and fellow geek. He always takes my ideas and turns them into great works of art. I trust his creativity and any suggestions he has for the piece. I have only two large tattoos and they were both created by Carlos. He is also hilarious and probably the coolest person to talk to. The shop Iron and Ink is very clean and modern with a very communal vibe. The artists ask for each other's thoughts on their work, share ideas and even their own resources. Mind you, these are things I couldn't help but notice during my first visit. While Carlos was working on my Master Splinter tattoo, he asked some of the artists their thoughts about placement and they were happy to give their opinions and ideas. Great place to get a tattoo. Clean and professional environment, which is always an immediate plus. The front staff and the artists were all really nice and enjoyable to work with. I went with my cousin who was visiting from the UK, as she loves a tattoo on her travels. She got a turtle on her wrist which turned out brilliantly! My tattoo was a black line piece of a shark on my calf, so nothing massive but the artist, Nina, really did a great job and was excited to talk about it and get it just right. The piece turned out even better than I thought it would look, so i'm very pleased and would 100% go back in future and recommend to anyone. The only downside was that the appointment was at 11:30 and the artist could not be there until 12:30, so we did have to wait around a little. I had the opportunity to spend two full days with her and the Iron and Ink crew; I could not ask for a better experience. Hana is kind, humorous, caring, and incredibly talented. Anyone would be lucky to have work done by her. The shop is comfortable and well-designed. The shop manager, Vicki, is warm and always looks to make every client comfortable. She also makes a mean vegan hot chocolate, which I highly recommend. My brother and I got matching sibling tattoos last week and this was by far one of the best tatt experiences I've had so far. This shop is truly a unique and different experience compared to every other shop I've been to. It's got a really cool clean, modern feel inside and they were even playing classic jazz and Frank Sinatra while we were getting our tatts done. You can't go wrong with that. My friend and I knew nothing about the shop when walking by but knew immediately when we looked through the windows that it was the place we were looking for. We were serviced within 15 mins and the piercer was very nice and personable. The price was a bit more than I expected but I think this was because of the location.
