We came here for some girl time to get pedicures during out beach weekend. We were a group of four that came around 5pm which was close to closing time. There were only three people available to do our pedicures, so I waited a bit to get my nails done, but didn't mind because I had the massage chair to keep me occupied. I liked the way they seated us. They had the pedicure stations facing each other. Two of us sat on one side, and the other two on the other. I especially appreciated that they gave me a towel for my lap. I had a dress on, so it was a nice way to cover my legs. They had a lot of different nail polish colors to pick from. Some of them were very cute and very much my taste. Since this was a beach trip, I opted for the white color to watch my toes pop in the sand and with a tan. I'm so happy we got our nails done here. The people who work here are sweet, easy to talk to, and very professional. I recommend this nail spa. read more

Went to get gel polish on my toes. Specifically said no pedicure today. They ignored me repeatedly and did the pedicure anyway. Asked for white gel polish and left with a pitiful, messy polish that I was overcharged for. Not to mention, the lady cut my toes multiple times. Not a great experience to say the least read more

We walked into the salon and they greeted us as soon as we got in, however I noticed that they had hold music on speakerphone. This went on for almost 30 minutes. I had overheard him ask one of the clients if they could pay cash since their machine didn't work. I assumed it was because he was on hold to resolve the issue with their machine. After the agent on the speaker came back, it appears it was because of some issue with a flight that one of the nail techs/owner had taken. It was truly unprofessional and distracting because he was speaking so loud and also stopped working with my daughter to take the call. The owner was so rude and condescending, he embarrassed my mom when we walked in (she has her eyebrows tattooed and the scars on her face prevent it from looking as it should). Then after we had told him that she wasn't going to get them done because we were visiting he kept talking to her about it which was VERY annoying. After that fiasco, he injured her nail which obviously hurt her and almost brought her to tears. He than got MAD at HER, which was uncalled for and had an attitude for the rest of the time we were in there. I'm on vacation and was looking for a place to get my nails touched up. I'm a nail biter and haven't touched my nails in a month and a half. My acrylics, from before I left for vacation, were grown out and snagging so I took them off myself looking to get them redone. (I'm a hairstylist and soaked them in acetone) Anyway I was worried they weren't long enough for gels and didn't want another set of acrylics since my nails were damaged from the last set. I got in right away, they were polite the whole time, the guy was gentle with my nails and was able to give my short nails a good gel manicure. They didn't insult me about my short nails like most other nail salons do. AND they didn't try to con me into doing acrylics and gels together. Only thing that caught me off guard was one guy did the trimming and then switched off with another guy to paint. But it worked out perfectly. I just got a simple gel mani, and it looked fine, but I t's only been 1 1/2 days and it looks old already? If that makes sense? Like it aged terribly over night. And I paid $50 for it! I've been in recently from NY and got a manicure; upon speaking with Caroline I felt immediately comfortable with her expertise for a powder ombré eyebrow session. Caroline is so very experienced in permanent makeup artistry. Her skill and attention to every detail showed on my beautiful set of eyebrows. Caroline has given me the boost of confidence I have been lacking in my appearance! I cannot praise her enough and will be back for permanent eyeliner! First the good .. The guy that did my nails was nice ... the color was very pretty... Now the bad ... It is not a very professional environment. I heard kids crying in the back room And another kid running around the salon. My sister and I came in for pedicures and we got that .. a very basic pedicure... There seems to be only one guy doing nails and he is not very great. My right big toe usually has issues with ingrown nails so the techs usually cut it carefully to make sure I'm not experiencing pain... he didn't even attempt ... He went back and forth between her and I He did however manage to cut into my sisters skin :/ My massage chair stopped working after 5 mins so I just sat there ... waiting for him to get my sisters toes done ... it was such an uncomfortable experience... and I will have to go get my toes redone pretty soon due to the ingrown nail pain :/ Finally.... $120 for two basic a*** pedicures ???? Me, my sister, my moms friend, and my mom walked in the salon and first, he insulted my moms tattoo eyebrows. She was involved in a car accident and her face got scarred including her eyebrow. There was only one guy working in there and he was very rude. He told us he would have service for us 4 but he didn't. He was filing my moms nails very aggressively and he broke one. He then started shoving a fake nail into the broken nail. My mom told him that it hurt and he walked into the back very rudely. We had made the reservation for 10:00 a.m. There were five of us, four women and one man... preparing for my cousin's wedding the next day. We arrived at 9:50 a.m. and they were closed and nobody was in the shop so we sat in front of the shop waiting. At 10:05 a.m. we see a car barreling through the parking lot and it is the owner and I'm assuming his wife who is trying to cover her face with a hat as she realizes the party who has a reservation is now waiting outside of a closed shop 5 minutes into their scheduled reservation. The male owner opens the door and lets us in but the woman does not reveal herself. As it turns out she is in the back setting up her nail carts for the day. We sit and wait as the man does the normal opening of the shop including turning the lights on turning the music on running water into the basins etc. Another 15 minutes go by as we are waiting and now are completely bewildered that there are no other nail techs in the place. It is just this man and this woman. The five of us are seated and the man starts on one of us as the four of us just watch and wait. The woman finally surfaces from the back to tell the man to turn the music down and then she disappears again. The rest of us continue to wait. The woman finally reappears and gets to work on another one of us while the three remaining watch and wait. It was all very bizarre especially since we had a reservation so they should have been prepared. I was the only man and wondering who was going to take care of my nails. I see them discussing what I'm assuming to be this topic and I'm getting the impression that neither one want to do my nails. I'm not sure if it's because I'm a man or what the reason was but I felt pretty uncomfortable. The man ends up doing my nails begrudgingly. He seemed less than enthused to do so and was rather rough and was pulling on my toes to the point of them cracking. I'm a big guy so I could take it but it just seemed bizarre. He rushed through my nails much quicker than he did the others. He then made a comment saying that I'm a big guy. Yes I am 6'5 and 300 lb but I thought that comment was out of left field. He then said in his country a man has to be taller than the woman he is with. Okay? I'm gay so this doesn't apply to me unless he was trying to make a point? I ended up getting charged $50 with no clear coat or color on my nails. The girls in my party were charged $50 with a coat so I was overcharged on top of everything else. The place is clean however they are severely lacking in staff and the man has a surly demeanor which would not want me to ever return the next time I am in North carolina. Had a 10am appt. After 20 mins still didn't take me. Changed it to 9am next morning. Only 1 tech for 3 people waited over 40 mins. Tech said he had car trouble then heard him say get here ASAP. I have very dry heels. They would not touch them. The nail polish was old sticky and some I couldn't even open. I would of walked out if I did not want to get my nails done so bad. I have been going to this salon for a few years, as I am a part-time resident of Emeraid Isle. This Spring I was told they wanted people to make an appointment, which I have been doing. I had an appointment for a pedicure at 10 am today, but when I walked in I as told there would be a wait as a large group had just walked in (without an appointment). I was very upset and all they could say was "sorry." I am now looking for another salon that will hopefully have better customer service. A regular customer should be treated better than the vacationers who are only in town for week. read more

I've been getting my nails done professionally for over 10 years; I was traveling through the area and decided to stop here due to location convenience. This place is overpriced for mediocre quality. It felt rushed, no communication if I wanted my nails cut/filed and he deeply cut into my big toe, twice. No pricing listed anywhere but it totaled out $60 for one basic gel pedicure, no extra scrubs/stones/waxes/designs added with also an extra charge if using a card vs cash. When I say don't cut my cuticles, don't cut my cuticles, and don't look at me like I don't know what I'm saying, because you went ahead and cut my cuticles and I bled. And my toe still hurts from where she scrubbed the loffah so hard that I could hardly put my shoes back on. And PS- A mani-ped, unless it is a spa mani-ped, which it wasn't shouldn't take 2 hours. You don't leave my hands soaking in a soap dish and walk away for 10 minutes either. Perhaps the big city has made me inpatient and/or intolerant of sub-par services, but this place is downright lame. Went to get a pedicure with my sister in law at this place while on vacation. Honestly, it was ok. I don't think I have ever given one star. But as I'm sitting here, one of the manicurist's is draped across the table sleeping. The man doing my sister in law's nails was about to do the massage part, and said: "Ouch! Your hair is so long". I was shocked that he would be that rude! He scoffed at the color choice after that. Then, I sat in a chair with my feet in the water until 6. At that point, with 2 women in the chair next to me who also had appointments at 5 waiting, I walked out and said it was ridiculous. We have been going to ONS for many years. Joe is a master at pedicures & manicures. Caroline's skill set in both disciplines are exceeded only by her artistic skill with eyebrows. I have friends that trust only her for eyebrows. I personally ask for Caroline when in need of a pedicure/manicure because she consistently delivers quality work and her sweet disposition.
