Lee did a fantastic job. I always love a place that has a ton of colors. If you are looking for high quality colors they have them. Essie, OPI, Morgan Taylor too!! They have it all. Tons of glitters as well. I was amazed with the pedicure. For 26 dollars I got to have them do a spa pedicure that included a massage with exfoliant and moisturizer. As well as nice hot towels. They made sure to scrub the bottom of my feet for dead skin too. A lot of places wont do all that for the price of 26$ !!! Not to mention she painted my toes black with morgan taylor and the color is fantastic. FYI Morgan Taylor is probably one of the best polishes out there. The high quality service I got was fantastic. She did an amazing job cleaning up after polishing too. All in all I give this place 5 stars and will be coming back to see Lee (a girl). read more

Kathy filled my hard gels. Her stiletto shape is on point (literally). She is friendly yet quick and efficient. I have searched far and wide for someone with such attention to detail and pride in their work. I live on the east coast for now and will continue to return to Kathy. Mike and Cindy are both excellent here. I come bi-weekly and am always pleased. The people are friendly and do a great job every time. Cindy is great also with my little girls. She makes beautiful flowers. Mike is thorough and detailed too. I also love that the atmosphere is quiet and peaceful. I love that the TV is off or the volume is off. read more

I hate to have to leave this review but it hard to be done. I loved this salon but my recent visit today was horrific. I usually get my nails done with Kathy. But this time I walked in to make a appointment and was greeted with we can help you right now which sounded like a great idea. I wanted to take off a set and get a fresh set of acrylic nails. I sat down with a women o didn't get her name but she was tall and sat at number 7. She began drilling on my acrylics nothing unusual but soon it turned into a complete nightmare. She proceeded to snap and break my nails with a nail clipper while doing so breaking the natural nail beneath splitting them in half than when I told me she was hurting me she said "oh sorry you tell me when it hurts" and proceeded to do the same process over again but this time getting a tip nail and using it inside down to rip off the acrylic when I told her she was hurting me once again she decided to get acetone to soak them off I felt a sigh of relief but not for long she placed my hand in the solution but was impatient and proceeded with the exact process that she began with when the torture was finally over I decided I did not want to go on with her ad my trust that she knew what she was doing was out the window. When I explained to her that I would rather not get any more services she started to argue with me saying that I should have told her it was hurting. Kathy came by and tried to resolve the issue but at that point I was upset and ready to leave. Unfortunately I will not be going back until this women is no longer available to work on anyone again. I'm truly sad about the whole situation because Kathy does great work. But this was just too much for me to be able to come back I've been doing my nails for over 25 years never have I ever had a nail tech destroy a clients natural nail the way this women did to my nails. I'm no means a princess when it comes to acrylics I know at times you can get nipped but this was astonishing that this women is allowed to work as a nail tech without the correct knowledge of proper removal. Yes nails get thin while wearing acrylics that's why there are procedures in place when removing nails. Stay away from number 7 at this nail place! You have been warned. read more

Just got a dip powder manicure and gel pedicure. I've been coming here for a while now and never had any complaints. Always 5 star service. They redid all of the chairs/stations during covid and it's absolutely beautiful! It was lovely before, but it's even more enjoyable now! The salon is so comfortable and clean. Everything about my experience today was excellent. I felt extremely comfortable and safe and it was clear that Oceans is taking COVID seriously. You have to fill out a waiver and they take temperatures to ensure guest safety. They never disappoint and it's so nice to finally be back! Thank you for everything!! read more

I go to Tracy here at Ocean nails and she is amazing. She is so detail oriented and does a really good job. Here is a picture of my nails after a week and they still look amazing! I work at a restaurant where I have to wash my hands a lot and she's given such good recommendations so I don't dry out my cuticles too badly. They look so much better now! Actually taking the time to write a positive review! I've had a few bad experiences trying to find a new salon. Checked out this place today. I walked right in, they were fast, friendly, and inexpensive. Looks like a good lunchtime mani place for me! A little messy in there, but definitely not dirty. It could have been because they were packed. I had a gel mani with French polish. I'm kind of picky about the way it's done. So, it was nice that the girl asked for feedback along the way. Some places are so snooty when you try to tell them the way you like your nails. Overall, good experience. I would go back. ;) read more

Everyone that knows me knows I am very particular about my nails being an ex-nail technician. I go to the owner Kathy and she is incredible. My dip powder nails last 3-4 weeks without breaking I'm a bartender and I'm very rough on my hands and they are constantly in water and Kathy has it down! I am very picky with my dip powder nails, and this place is the best salon I have found in Santa Barbara! I had a very nice man who did my dip manicure. He was very thorough and detailed in every step of the process, yet I was out of there in less than 40 minutes. The color, shape, and overall finish of my nails is amazing! I just moved near the area and stopped in on a Sunday afternoon. For the first time ever, I got the dipped powder manicure. I usually get gel manicures. For only an extra five bucks, it is well worth it. Ana, the manicurist I got by chance, was very professional and made sure I was well taken care of. They didn't have the exact color I wanted, but she mixed two to make the color. I would definately go back to get my nails done at this salon again. I enjoyed my service at ocean nails the staff was nice & accommodating, it's also affordable, $15. for a mani, & $26. for a pedi. I've been their twice, on my second visit i got a mani gel polish change i was charged $20. I thought it was a little pricey for just a color change, i should have gotten the whole mani. I'm not one to leave reviews, especially a negative one but I had a really disappointing experience at this place yesterday. I have been coming to this salon for quite a while now and so I came in yesterday asking for a fill. Right off the bat, the girl who I talked to gave me some serious attitude. I brushed it off and continued to explain what I wanted done. She kept insisting on something I was not asking for and after I explained to her for the 5th time exactly what I wanted she rolled her eyes at me and was extremely rude. I have never been treated like this at any other place especially at a place I have been a loyal customer for a long time. I ended up just walking out extremely disappointed and went to Famous nails over by target for HALF the price of what I would have paid here and they actually treated me with respect. You'd think they would treat their costumers better given they probably lost clientele due to covid. I will never again come back to this place and I will certainly let my friends know not to come here. Very disappointed. read more

The best nail experience ever!!! The entire staff was friendly and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Tracy did my nails and she was amazing!!! She took off my acrylic nails and applied powder polish and was done in 45 min. My daughter and I were walk ins and they had a full shop but still managed to fit us in. My only regret is that I don't live in Santa Barbara where I can't continue to come here on a regular basis. What a wonderful experience!! read more

I will never return to Ocean Nails. While I understand that prices have gone up due to the current pandemic, this business is taking advantage of people. I paid $62 for a pedicure. I will be advising everyone I know that this establishment is ripping off their customers and to no longer give them their business. read more

I been going to this spa for 10 years now and I totally understand people have their bad days but this was just horrible. I came in they told me to pick my color and the lady was rushing me "come sit down over here" and I said I'm not done finishing my color and she said we can decide later and I was so confused. Then I showed her a picture of flowers I wanted on my toes and she said that she could do it. So, the pedicure was getting finished and she left to start a new client and I was like ok she's letting them dry whatever. Then a guy started putting my shoes on and I was like what?! And I said I asked for design and the employees were all confused and then the woman came up and said it's too hard too and I already put the final paint on. But wouldn't you tell me before so I could change what I wanted. Then don't get me started on my dip. She kept cutting my fingers and when she asked for the color I said I didn't find one and she looked at me all confused and I said I was rushed sorry. And I showed her a baby pink and I got a bright pink and she said it starts being bright then it will get lighter which it never and did. I have gotten dip before but I have never had it so thick before like my nail looks like it has a tummy and I went to work and my coworkers said your nails look horrendous that was so embarrassing. Which realizing now if I said hold on a second I would of had a better experience. But I can sadly say this will be my last time coming to Ocean Nails. read more

I love it here. Years ago I used to go to Tina Nails on Milpas street and Jason did my nails! He was the best! I moved out to Goleta and was not satisfied with Artistic Nails so I tried Ocean Nails which is across the street and when I walked in, I saw My Jason there!!! He owns Ocean Nails! He does THE BEST nails! Kathy is my girl when Jason isn't there. He has since moved back down to run his mom's shop on Milpas and Kathy manages Ocean now. I had to go to Artistic nails a few weeks ago when Kathy was on vacation and I needed to have my nails done that day..... BAD IDEA!! My nails were so badly done by Artistic Nails that I wanted to peel them off right after. They are busier now a days but if you make an appt with Kathy, you will never be disappointed! read more

Honestly, this will be my first and last time I would ever go to this place. I got a regular mani which was $15 (excluding tip) which is honestly not bad considering it includes a little hand massage that I don't see in many places. The thing that bothered me the most is that how rushed the job was that in the end, they didn't even bother rinsing off the acetone (to clean the excess nail polish) and didn't even give me ANY time to look at my nails after they put the top coat until they booted me out of the seat saying that they need it already and moved all my stuff off the table before I was even able to utter a word. They're nice workers but I think the fact that they rushed it really ruined the experience for me. Its unfortunate considering that I haven't gotten my nails done in years and just wanted to treat myself a little. Side note, don't pay with tip yet until you have seen the end product which I was asked to do mid manicure. read more

Always have the best service here! I have been getting my nails done with Tracy since February and I'm in love. She converted me to dip powder. My nails started off super brittle and would just break all the time- no matter what I did. She told me that the dip powder would help and boy has it! I'm giving this place one star because it makes me choose a star but in reality they get no starts from me. I walked in today to get dip powder and my nails look horrible and different shapes every nail. Not only that but the girl was completely rude and embarrassed me in front of everyone yelling about how I didn't wash and dry my hands like she had told me. Which I did wash and dry my hands but according to her I ruined her brushed by not drying my hands. She had everyone laughing in the language which made me feel so uncomfortable. To top it off she was done didn't say anything just got up left and went to someone else and when I asked if it was ok for me to leave she rudely said yes. We came in on Saturday with a party of 7 for pedicures. Not only did they let us change the reservation from 3:30 to 6, but they also stayed open 30 minutes after 7, when they close! The service was so great, everyone was really nice and since we were from out of town, they gave us recommendations for food and activities. The pedicures were great, as well the service, too! They use this great orange scrub and don't rush through anything. Highly recommend! read more

This last time I went she didn't remember me gave me the thickest ugliest powder and left before I could pay her. She send someone else to tell me I will finish you off. Such poor customer service. I was a consistent customer here and won't be returning. Their quality of work has been declining and now their poor customer service. The lady who waxed my eyebrows was Anna. During the wax she was aggressive in moving my face because she was rushing. At the end she handed me the mirror to check my eyebrows while packing up and rushing off to her waiting customer. There are now several poor reviews on yelp regarding their sloppy work and the business' response is to contact them. How about doing quality work the first time around instead of responding to all poor reviews with a redo? read more
