Came on a weekend afternoon with my sister since we were in need of a pedicure. There is a shared parenting lot and other shops next door. It wasn't too crowded on a Saturday. Where upon entering it was three people present. There were about 6 staff members. Not sure if this was a sign being it's mid day Saturday. They had one television in the lobby turned to Cooking channel with a sound system music playing for 80's rock on top of the tv volume. They have several colors to choose from with various nail polishes. They have a menu of items offered with prices. Staff were very direct and to the point. This isn't a spa or welcoming place. You will not receive water or refreshments while you get a service. They speak their native language which is okay, but when they are pointing at people followed by laughter and appear to be talking about customers by body language it's rude. The technician painted my toes and skin around my toes where the job looked not quite fully professional. They seemed sanitary pertaining to equipment used. This is something I check for. They have one restroom on the back and it was clean. Unfortunately, I won't be back and do not recommend. read more

I enjoyed my appointment in a clean and professional salon. Easy parking. I had the dip powder for first time and loved it! It feels light on my fingers, not heavy and tight like acrylic, I was pleasantly surprised (my daughters wonderful recommendation). My technician, Helen, was on time and ready for my appointment (I don't like when you make appointments only to get to the salon and have to wait). Helen did a great job, quick and easy and she is very sweet. I loved the shape and how thin they are(at least something on me is thin,haha). I was having a really hard time trying to decide where to get my nails done until I stumbled unto this place. It's located in a very convenient location for me and walk-ins are always welcome. The ladies were very polite and did a fantastic job on my manicure and pedicure. It's a very big place with at least 15 or so pedicure chairs. The walls are very beautiful with tropical locations pictured everywhere. The prices are comparable to any mani/pedi I've had before so no complaints there. I think the neatest thing is that they have a separate space that you can rent for parties. I think a mani/pedi party would be really fun so that's a cool option to have. read more

I went in based on Google reviews of the place. Everyone said it was fantastic and blah blah blah. My water for both mani and pedi was cold, there were hardly any people there, and it was half lit. Not to mention, I could not tell if the untensils being usedhad been sterilized or not, seeing as how they were pulled straight from the drawer. My gel manicure started CHIPPING and PEELING and WRINKLING on day 3 (they are supposed to last 2 weeks and I have had them before). When I went in today and asked them to fix it, they charged me an ADDITIONAL $15, even though it was their fault, and looked at me crazy when I didn't tip them for the second time in less than a week. I've read the other reviews on here, but they are at least a year old. I went for a girl's night out, and we all loved Oceans. The place was very clean, and I saw the technicians open sterilized tools. Of all the pedicures I've had, this one was by far the most thorough and most enjoyable. The technician spent a long time on the exfoliation portion and the massage portion of the pedicure. I was so relaxed! Everyone working there spoke good English and was very nice. The prices match the other nail salons in town, ranging from $25 and up. This salon is able to accommodate 13 adult pedicures and they also had a row of kids' chairs that would be great for a little girl's party! For our Girl Night Out, they allowed us to bring food and drinks and were very accommodating. I will definitely go back. read more

I recently had a pedicure at the Ocean Nails and Spa. I had made an appointment and they were 10 minutes late getting started. After she had gotten started she asked me if I wanted the standard pedicure or the superior pedicure. Everything that she did in the superior pedicure should have been included in a standard pedicure. I felt like I was taken advantage of. She only put one coat of color on my nails. I would not go back there again and would not recommend them to anyone read more

I was only in Huntsville for 3 months, and found this place after I had a horrible experience at a nail salon by the Madison Square Mall. I went back for a second time! The shellac didn't chip at all! Best shellac I've had done. Tommy was the manicurist. He assured me that it wouldn't chip and he was right. It stayed on so long that my nails grew and I had to get them re-done. Its unfortunate that I will have to search for another place like this at my next destination! read more

I went in for a mani and pedi and was disappointed with the cleanliness of this salon. I watched as utensils were put back in a drawer after only being rinsed off in the pedicure water. Not once did I observe any sterilization of any tools and the area where you wash your hands after the manicure was filthy including the trash can where you throw your paper towel. It appeared they used the same tools on numerous clients without proper cleaning. They did take me quickly with no appointment but I won't be going back because I need to see that cleanliness is a priority in a salon and not how many clients you can service in a day. read more

There this girl name Nancy , she is very ugly and she bleeds my toes nails during pedicure. I told her to stop cut my cuticles, she doesn't listen and continue cutting my cuticles. My pedicure lasted like 15 mins. Will not recommended this technician. I would prefer the English spoken technicians who understand what I want. Beware of Nancy!!! read more

Not good with children. My child who is only 9 years old smudged her nail, the nail tech yelled and hollered at her when she asked her to fix it. Nail tech was very rude and did a very poor job. Also when we asked for designs on our nails, we were yelled at and told "NO" .....This is the most unprofessional and rude nail salon I have ever visited. Will NEVER patronize this business again. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a salon. First we were supposed to be there as a group and they separated us. One of the workers, I believe may be the owner, was very rude when speaking to me. He started the water for me, which was cold, but he did put in hot water to make it comfortable for me. I told him the additional things I wanted done which was simply removing the current shellac polish on my fingernails and putting new shellac on in addition to my pedicure. HE basically told me they know what they were doing and to DON'T WORRY, BE HAPPY in a condescending tone. After that I told him to not worry about anything other than my pedicure. Also the worker that actually did my pedicure did not even bother to speak. She simply put in her earphones and started on my feet. She never said more than maybe two words to me to ask about the color that I picked out. They then proceeded to use a tool on my feet which is not even allowed by the State of Alabama Board as something that can be used in a salon. It was something similar to a cheese grater as big as it was. Which now less than a week later has made the skin on my feet rough. Also I noticed that all employees did not wipe out each bowl after doing a pedicure, which I know is also a violation. None of the people in our group were satisfied. I would never advise anyone to go here. read more
