We were in 1st floor room; lots of road noise.

This is a tow star motel! Decor (if one can call it that) is minimal. Floor not carpeted. King size bed uncomfortable and made crunchy noises whenever we moved. Refrigerator had massive ice wall in back and did not really cool anything that wasn't directly touching that ice wall. Bathroom sink had only warm or hot water (?) Plumbing all exposed. Two story--very thin flooring--we could hear the upstairs tenants clomping around at night and early in the morning. Over two hundred dollars a night? No!

Spring break getaway weekend. The price was the best the room very clean simple lots of channels on the TV. Nice bed plenty of room to put your items your suitcase and your jacket and your purse. Microwave refrigerator coffee pot. Very nice room.

    Toenail...not ours.

Stayed just for one night. Way too pricey for what we got but it was peak season so I get it. But I'd never stay here again or recommend it. Hair everywhere in the room. Clumps, loose strands, etc. Toenail on the floor. White socks were brown after a night walking around on the floor. (did not want to take socks off all stay). If you put your feet on/in the bed, that floor is wiping off on your sheets. Given the state of the room, we were also fearful of potential bedbugs. I didn't sleep much since couldn't relax and slept with my hood up to avoid contact with bedding. We washed the hoodies and the kids stuffies when we got home. With the mold and hair in the shower, you could not pay me to use the shower as it was. Leave the floaters at home peeps: the filled-in swimming pool is the smoking area. One star because we could not relax and felt robbed between what we got and what we paid.

the stay was great. Everything was clean and the area was calm & quiet. Very convenient & close walk to the pier about 7 minutes . we were even offered a discount when I asked if I could stay an extra night!!

    Some local decor!

What a great motel!!! From the start Laura was so sweet and helpful at check in! Once we got to our room we are pleasantly surprised with the size, it was HUGE! With high vaulted ceilings, king size bed and plenty of space for our luggage!! Not only does it come with a full size mini fridge but a microwave and keurig coffee maker!!! Made for the perfect mornings! It's location is perfect, walking distance to the beach and shops but still in a quiet area!!! The rooms were so clean and the staff was just as nice as Laura!!! Would highly recommend staying here if in Pismo Beach!!

However, during this recent visit, we did not feel welcomed. When my wife and I approached the front desk for check‑in, the older female employee working the reception (possibly named Debbie or starting with a "D") told us she had not called us yet, even though it was clearly our turn in line. I apologized and stepped back, and only a few seconds later she did not greet us instead up front asked if we had a reservation. From the beginning, her demeanor toward us felt unfriendly and dismissive. We had booked an Ocean View King with a patio, but we were assigned a fourth‑floor room on the east wing of the hotel with only a partial ocean view and a strong smell of urine. it turns out this area of the building are pet friendly. We returned to the front desk, waited again, and when she called us over with "What's up," I explained the issue. She was quiet for a moment, then reassigned us to the main building second‑floor room above the reception area and informed us that no patio rooms were available. Her behavior throughout the check‑in process was discouraging and made us feel unwelcome, which was disappointing--especially considering we spent over $850 for a two‑night stay. However, a part from this staff issue, Seacrest is a great place to stay, the complementary breakfast is great! but yes that one staff was not the greatest...

I was initially undecided between a few different options, but ultimately decided to stay at Beachcomber Inn. I made a reservation from Friday to Sunday. I had already received an email confirming that check-in would be at 4:00 PM on Friday. However, around 9:00 AM that same morning, I received a phone call informing me that no one had stayed in the room the night before, and that we were welcome to check in at any time without waiting until 4:00 PM. As we all know, most hotels charge extra fees for early check-in or late check-out, so receiving such a generous offer without even asking was truly surprising and very much appreciated. Unfortunately, due to work commitments, we were only able to arrive around 6:00 PM. When we got there, I learned that the person who had called me was the owner, Johnny. We had the chance to meet him in person--he is incredibly friendly, talkative, and genuinely welcoming. He personally showed us around our room, which made the experience even more special. The location of the hotel is outstanding. It's just about a block and a half away from the busy center of Pismo Beach, yet it is remarkably quiet. We had a very peaceful night's sleep, and the room temperature was perfect. Everything we needed was thoughtfully provided--there was a coffee machine with plenty of coffee pods, and the bathroom was fully stocked with essentials like shampoo and shower products. The room itself was spotless and in excellent condition. Additionally, the nearby beaches are only about a 10-minute drive away. We even went to the sand dunes and rode ATVs, which was an incredibly fun experience. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Pismo Beach. Check-out on Sunday was scheduled for 12:00 PM, but once again, Johnny reached out to let us know that no one was checking in after us. He kindly offered that we could check out anytime up until 6:00 PM if we wished. Just like the early check-in, this thoughtful gesture--offered without us even asking--was both surprising and deeply appreciated. He could have easily charged for this, but it was clear from the moment we met him that his priority is simply to provide excellent service and ensure his guests feel comfortable and happy during their stay. We would absolutely recommend staying at Beachcomber Inn when visiting Pismo Beach, and if you have the chance, meeting Johnny in person is truly a pleasure. From now on, we know that every time we visit Pismo Beach, we will choose to stay at this hotel without hesitation. Through this review, we would like to thank him once again and hope to see him again very soon.

We stayed in the Courtyard and easy access to the car and games area. I noticed the playground was gone and was a bummer. For breakfast you have to cross the bridge and go to the other hotel to eat. It was a bit crowded in the morning. Food was decent with waffles you can make yourself, chicken sausage, bacon, oatmeal, fruit, eggs, toast, and bagels. They offer on site parking for a fee, which was convenient, and one of my favorite features was the rooftop area it's a great place to relax, eat, and enjoy the atmosphere. Because of the construction the checkin desk is just inside the door adjacent to the tiny elevator. I was standing at the check-in desk and it is so close to the automatic doors that they just stayed open and it was cold outside. The luggage carts need to be updated. This sound trivial but they are so small, old/worn and don't have hook at the top to hang anything which would have helped given how small they are. Once we checked in I asked about a luggage cart as there were none to be found and the check-in clerk was kind enough to radio the cleaning staff to see if anyone left a cart in a hallway or in their room when they checked-out (I was told it happens). Shortly thereafter a member of staff came running by me in the lobby and took the elevator upstairs. Little did I know it was to get me a luggage cart that was found my cleaning staff. I was grateful for the effort and made my way to the room. I paid for a Deluxe Pier & Ocean View. I would suggest you get an Ocean View and skip the Pier View. Our room was the farthest most away from the ocean front of the hotel and so I had a good view of the neighboring hotel and could hear the children playing in the pool...not very relaxing and was louder than the ocean waves. The other complaint was that on the 2nd floor, where my room was located, my door was immediately next to the breezeway or walkway that is completely open to the breakfast area below so each morning I heard people in the breakfast area. I saw a door that could be shut to separte the walkway from the guestrooms but it was open for my entire visit. The elevators are extremely small and only 1 luggage cart and 2 people would fit. It is very old, slow and needs to be replaced. While I didn't use it the pool is heated and kept very clean. They offer electric bikes for rent with the first hour free. For the cost of this hotel I would have expected updated rooms or a lower price. I am looking forward to when the construction is complete as I would like to check out the new rooms.

We stayed for one night in August. I had my service dog with me but the woman at the front desk…read moremade it sound like she was doing me a favor by not charging me for the dog in the room. I also asked for a room without a shower over a tub so that I could access it more easily. They did accommodate that request with a room that had a shower that you could roll into with a wheelchair although I don't use the wheelchair. However, the room was right next to the breakfast room and the elevator and the stairs at access the breakfast room from the outside. So the view was looking through a number of railings through the pool area and then to the ocean. I was not informed that I was getting a partial view or that I was getting a full pool view. I've never stayed here before so I didn't know the layout of the hotel so when she told me where my room was, I had no idea it was located where it was. Surely after checking in, I called because the air-conditioning was not working and it was warm and the room smelled unpleasant. I was assure that someone would be on their way. I also responded to the text message that I got saying that I needed assistance with the air conditioner and still I heard nothing for two hours. I finally called the front desk where the Line had been busy pretty incessantly, and reminded them that now it was nighttime and I didn't need the air conditioner, but it would be nice to be able to use the heater. They sent a maintenance person who spent I don't know 10 minutes trying to figure it out and then he left to go to the shop to get a remote or something that would make it work finally. They cut the brim. Temperature was still not very comfortable as it is one of those cheap or not so cheap but also not so efficient wall, air conditioner, and heater. We were next to the elevator, which was very loud. I could literally hear when people push the buttons, the beep from the buttons in the elevator. The issue was that it woke up my service dog like a number of times during the night and she really needs to get a good nights sleep, but she didn't get. Nor did I I guess because she woke me up every time she heard the footsteps upstairs the running the noise in the parking lot, the elevator doors opening and closing. I read previous reviews about the bird feces and I agree that when I walked out even this morning and I was looking around my parking spot I thought to myself how long has it been since they power washed this pavement and all the other surfaces that have bird poop on them. Because of the location of the room and the access to public view, I could not leave the blinds or the curtains. I mean open to enjoy what Little view there was. Stop it so overall between the location of the room, the lack of privacy, the sound that came through the walls and the ceiling, the bird poop everywhere, and the Not so welcome welcome at the front desk. When I checked in I would say I would not come back to this hotel. Oh, and I forgot to mention the bed was incredibly uncomfortable. I literally ended up, lodged between the nightstand and the bed because it slopes off at the edge of the bed. Like I said overall, it wasn't a great experience and I won't be back.

The hotel is also only about a 10-minute walk to the Pismo Beach Pier and downtown, so it was nice to be close enough to walk without feeling like you were right in the middle of all the crowds.
