Arrived at night after a long road trip and ended up with a disgusting room. An extreme bad mold smell. Had stains on all the sheets. Called reception at another sister hotel as there was no staff at ours. He could not send anyone to send clean sheets. Had to take the car and go pick up in the middle of the night at the counter at the sister hotel. Shower was as if u were taking a shower on the bed. The shower floor was mushy. I could feel water going to the left and right under my feet. I was wondering if water would not burst through the ceiling at some point. The walls were creepy. No switch off for the lights. We had to remove the bulb to sleep. Door could not lock properly. However, next day met a nice lady at the counter and she took care of getting us a another room. We had however to find a towel to use as curtain as the window in the shower had no curtain and there were people parking their cars outside. read more

We reluctantly booked this motel since it was all we could find with only 2 weeks' notice. The desk staff were friendly and gave us a room on the ground floor (per my reservation). Unfortunately, the room was not ready despite being given the keys. We offered to come back or take a different room, but they told us it would be just 10 minutes. Of course it stretched to more like an hour. Normally this would have been ok but after a 4-hour drive to get there - and it was unbearably hot out so we just waited in the car with the AC running - it was not the best start. The room is large but the bathroom is ridiculously small and very outdated. There were plenty of towels but no soap (for hand washing at least!). The shower stall is really sketchy so we wore flip flops while showering. The water doesn't drain well - perhaps too much sand? We found a mayfly and 2 moths in the room, but that's not surprising as the staff keeps the door open while cleaning. Not the worst thing. After a beach trip, we returned to the room but neither key worked. The keys are old style keys. We had to find a staff person to help with their master key. After 2 people tried, they finally got the door open. There is no closet but there's a makeshift hanging rod but it's very close to the bed. I'm sure someone has bumped into it during the night. Oddly, there is an iron hanging on the wall, but no ironing board. Not sure anyone needs to iron, anyway. Not surprising, the clientele is a mix. Seems to draw families due to the pool. Unfortunately the couple in the room next to us were quite loud and disrespectful of their "neighbors" (perhaps too drunk to care). A call to the office helped quiet things down. As convenient as this place is, we won't be back. We learned the Four Points next door is owned by the same person so not sure that would work, either. A little bathroom updating would go a long way - even just a new sink. BTW, the motel was not inexpensive. Yes, it's Cape Cod in the summer but this was not a good value at all. read more

All I can say is... wow. I've stayed at many iffy motels over the years, slept on beds in sleeping bags, worn shoes on rugs that had seen some things but never experienced something quite like this. It all began with a pleasant check in, were presented us with a key attached to plastic tag for the "under the stairs" room. All was well until we opened the door and were hit with a wicked mold smell. I could look past it and started to look around. We were then greeted by a small earwig in the drapes. Again not so bad, killed the bug and moved on. Started to prepare some snacks for my daughter and noticed our fridge was leaky leading to wet floors. Okay again solved with some towels and wearing shoes inside. Then decided to look around some more. In the corner were exposed outlets, and cobwebs... everything old and dusted with dust. Saw a small roach-like insect run across floor and then a small spider descend from table. Killed both, still okay about sleeping there. Used the restroom noticing water in the floor... a leaky toilet. Still nothing my family could not handle. However later it got scary. Noticed the door could not securely close, could see through crack to the outdoors. Went into bathroom noticed roach moving in light fixture. Now a bit freaked out because of bug activity sat on the bed and like clockwork a giant spider came out from under the bed and nestled in the bed skirt. Ummmm, no, last straw I was not sleeping there that night especially with an infant. With this many bugs seen, there are hundreds not seen. We packed our car and ended up staying nextdoor at sister hotel. I hope the big spider enjoyed its stay at Ocean Park Inn, we did not at all. read more

One is a gracious rating. Upon checking into the stale smoke "non smoking" room we were immediately greeted by a barrage of flying insects in all shapes and sizes. The toilet seat appeared to be from the original construction, with peeling layers of filth. The air condition was hanging off the wall, which allowed us a prime view of the cape cod wilderness. The ceiling tiles did not meet the wall, and at that point my mother was really beginning to panic. I was left curious about the splatters on the wall as well. During our quick room inspection we were able to watch an arrest at the Sheraton. We took our frustrations to Dennis who was kind but could not help. Dennis also confirmed the Wi-Fi was out, and gave no time or date when it would be in service. Later we were offered a room at the unsafe Sheraton which was not an acceptable resolution. Expedia offered $25 cash, with an emphasis on cash. Unfortunately the low standards of the hotel were also reflected in the owners customer service. We were denied a refund. I wouldn't even let my dog stay in this hotel let alone my mother. read more

Reading the reviews I got nervous about our stay but overall we were quite pleased. Room 26 on the upper level had 2 double beds and was clean, cool, and didn't smell "weird". There were many who brought their pups and I kind of wish I would have brought my 4 legged boy but going to the beach can be a pain so doggie day care for him this weekend. The grounds were nicely keep. Grassy open lawn with a few grills for sparking up charcoal, a couple of hammocks, picnic tables and trash barrels makes for a find yard. The pools is larger than I had expected and has a 10' deep end so the girls just loved swimming in it. There were a few late night groups (one wedding and other bunch of friends). They were all families and stayed out talking so some of the guests were not so happy since management seems to go home around 10. I heard them but it didn't keep any of us awake. I tend to bring ear plugs anyway and the kids slept like logs so if you are a light sleeper than keep it in mind. There were ice machines on both levels which made packing up the lunch cooler and drinks so much easier. Our water bottles were filled and chilled for biking. There is a small path out back that leads to the main bike path so you don't have to go out on Rte 6 if you don't want to. We had plenty of bath towels and pool towels so save yours for the beach. The visit to Nauset Light was nice (bring water shoes as it is really rocky) and the bays side which was much nicer (sandy and easier for swimming). Staying in Eastham and Wellfleet seems a good middle ground for making a day trip to Ptown and being on both sides of the water. Looking forward to coming back. read more

Awful. Came here for a wedding and booked online. Walked into the lobby, staff was pleasant, she gave us our keys (which by the way are old fashioned keys on a huge plastic diamond key chain), she asked if we would like a hair dryer or iron for the room. Of course we said yes, we asked "Aren't they already in the room?" the woman at the desk then said, "no, they're first come first serve and since you checked in early we still have some." so keep in mind that they do not have enough irons and hair dryers for every room. Whatever, we get to the room, open the door and get a whiff of a scent I'd describe as old moldy moth balls. The room is super dark, we try to turn on a lamp, it's unplugged, the tv, unplugged, the mini fridge from the 70's, unplugged. Walk into the bathroom, the shower floor looks dirty, thank god I'm just here for a night, I'd rather hold out and just shower when I get home rather than pick up some foreign foot fungus here. I attached a couple pictures of the mold everyone else is talking about as well as the nasty dirty shower and our new buggie friends that we made during our stay. The pictures online vs what the rooms looked like in person are so different! The room was somewhat clean, but so dated and had so many bugs in the bathroom, where it was always wet. Our AC didn't work, it blew hot air. We were awake every morning at 3am, sweating. The mattresses on the beds need to be changed, they were so worn we had to sleep on opposite ends of the bed to avoid sleeping in a 'bowl' shape. This motel is very dated. The only two pros were: location and how nice the people are at the front desk. Sad to say we will not be coming back here, which is sad to me because I love little mom and pop motels but this was not cute like it is pictured online. read more

I'm giving this one star primarily because the staff is very friendly. We tried to like this place but it was very hard to do based on the conditions of the room. When we checked in there was still hair on the walls of the shower from the previous guests. The walls in the bathroom were filthy and looked like the last time they were washed or painted was years ago. There are dropped ceilings in the rooms which I have never seen in a hotel. The ceiling panels were covered with water stains. There is no closets for clothes only a hook that hangs off the wall in the room with coat hangers. The net is this .... we are happy to pay any rate in a hotel as long as it's justified by cleanliness- amenities and value. This hotel does not fit that equation. The cost for the room for one night was $300 with tax. If this hotel was anywhere else but Cape Cod it would not dictate a rate higher than $70. For close to the same rate you could stay at the sister property next door - The Four Points. read more

My boyfriend and I stayed hear for 3 night while visiting beautiful cape cod. They need to remodel this hotel big time. In our room the ceiling was cracked and needs to be replaced. The carpet was torn. The bathtub was dirty and found a bug in the sink. The wifi does not work and the tv had a lot of static. The exterior of the hotel need a good paint job. We understand that the hotel recently opened, however, we were truly disappointed in our stay. We stayed in room 15 7/3-7/5. Everything we are going to say we did tell the front desk but we were told that all rooms were taken. First our room had a horrible odor that the front desk worker even noticed. In addition our bed was dirty and Denise did bring us clean sheets. Our room had multiple spiders and lastly our TV did not work. I would like to say that Dense went above and beyond for my family and I. I suggest some major cleaning be done in our room. Apparently they have renovated. We stayed here this past weekend, and everything in the room was brand spanking new. Tub, fixtures, beds, lights, and all else. Sure, it isn't really fancy, but on the Cape in August, it was reasonable, clean, and relatively quiet. It's owned by the Hilton next door, so you get to use their facilities, as well. Really really liked this place. Stayed here a few weeks ago. The Rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, the A/C is cold and the property is inviting. Nice courtyard type area with grills and hammocks to lay in. The pool was clean and well shaded in the afternoon. Best of all staying here you get full use of the Sheraton Four Points next door. They own this property and you can use the Sheraton's facilities, like Indoor Pool, Restaurant etc. I would absolutely stay here again. It is a Motel..and that's what we expected. This hotel is FILTHY. Roaches and leaks. When I brought these issues to the main office, the girl shrugged and told me it was 5 Minutes til her shift end (I don't care) maintenance had gone home and there was nothing could be done. So 5 minutes later, right on cue, she was gone. So I rang the supposedly "24 hour front desk" at the Sheraton next door (who owns this place but treats it, and its guests like a deprived stepchild) and no one picked up. I called continuously for fifteen minutes- no response. So finally, at 10:45 at night, I got up and walked to the front desk, where there was a woman named "Tricia" working. When I expressed my understandable distress to her, she said she would call her manager, but she was "sleeping" right now. Apparently, "well wake her up" wasn't a welcome response as she then threatened to call the cops on me. I then rang the number to the her desk, which rang in front of our faces. I asked why she didn't pick up when I called before if the number works. She responded, "I'm busy". The empty lobby begged to differ. This place is GARBAGE. All I want is a clean hotel room with no black mold or roaches. This, and the unhelpful staff at the Sheraton next door, will not deliver that. read more

Stayed at the Ocean Park Inn July 4th (2020) weekend. Overall a decent stay but some room for improvement. Let's start with the positive: They allow dogs which is why we chose the place; the location on route 6 in Eastham is great. Easy to get to Ptown, Wellfleet, Orleans and Chatham; the front desk staff was friendly; the room was well appointed for a motel. Now for the negative: the room smelled strongly of mildew; there were earwigs everywhere, we killed at least 10 throughout our stay, they were on the curtains, the beds, the towels in the bathroom. However, the biggest critique I have is over cleanliness. In these times of the COVID pandemic they claim to be practicing expanded cleaning but it didn't seem like it. The door to the room and bathroom were filthy with fingerprints and smudges, the bathroom door had a brown smear of some sort (god I hope it wasn't...), the bathtub had dirt and hairs in it. We cleaned it all easily. We had planned to clean every surface in the room anyway given the pandemic, but these misses made me question whether they're really practicing enhanced cleaning. read more

I was supposed to stay here for 1 night with my 2 dogs. We were given the wrong room key. Then when we got into the room, there was a dingy odor. We could have gotten past this, but when we looked at the bed there was a bug on the pillow. We immediately brought the dogs out to the car to figure out our plan and we saw multiple mattresses being brought out of a room and thrown out. When I went to return the key I was accused of leaving a coke in the reception area(which I did not) and when I informed the staff of the bug, I was told "sorry about that" and have a good day. The only reason this hotel is even getting one star is because there's no lower choice. We requested a lower level room when we booked the hotel as I have a mobility disability and climbing up stairs can be challenging. When we arrived, we were told that, despite our request, rooms were given out on a first come, first serve basis and the only room left was a room on the top floor, as far away from the stairs as possible. Less than ideal, but we managed and didn't complain. Once we got to our room, the toilet immediately became clogged. We were headed out for the evening, so we asked the front desk to have someone go to clear it up. When we arrived back at the room at 1am, the toilet again immediately clogged, making it unusable for the entirety of our one night stay there. When my husband spoke to the manager, Andy, he first mentioned that we had been given an upper room after requesting a lower one for disability reasons. He was immediately told by Andy that disabled people "shouldn't book there" because they won't ensure them a lower room (pretty sure that's discrimination and illegal, but whatevs). Also, in regards to the toilet not working at all (a major inconvenience with 2 adults and 2 kids in the room), he suggested a 10% refund. For no working toilet. I'm sorry, but a working toilet is a pretty important part of a rented hotel room. Disappointing to say the least. I would not stay here again, and you shouldn't either. The Four Points Sheraton next door is a much better bet. read more

Among the issues at this hotel are some serious safety hazards. The recently rebuilt stairs to the second floor balcony were barely attached with a reused railing that was not properly attached and very wobbly. The room on arrival smelled very musty and wet. There was no ventilation in the bathroom except the window built into the shower that didn't even come equipped with privacy glass. The desk staff was super disappointing and argumentative. The people who worked there are very nice. The hotel itself is what you'd expect for an older cape hotel. A bit run down and beat up. As long as you don't have huge expectations for a glamorous stay and just need a place to put your stuff and sleep at night you'll be fine. The staff was nice and compliments to the manager. She was nice to deal with and I appreciated her alot, well spoken and polite. The hotel room on the other hand was something else. If you choose to rent a room with a queen size bed you are going to get a really skuzzy bathroom. If you choose to bunk in a smaller bed than you can get a bathroom with normal amenities. The place is fair for the price but just dont go for a queen bed and ask for the second floor because you will hear everything from above, noise travels in the rooms. read more

Just like Danny N., I stayed here for 2 nights for a wedding in Orleans. We were hoping to check in early (we arrived at 11:30) but the nice lady at the front desk said that we couldn't check in till 3. Fine, no problem, we went to have lunch. We came back at around 1:30 and luckily we were able to get a room. We walked into our room with a king sized bed and it was a lot bigger than I anticipated. So far so good. We quickly realize that this room is gross. The bathroom was especially bad - the sink was stained, the shower only gave a light spray of water, the wall above the shower head was moldy, the window curtain didn't close all the way so I could see the outside, and it let in bugs. The room had spider webs in the corners and was so dark - and those of you who wear makeup know that trying to put on makeup in the dark makes for a difficult time. I think I looked like a clown for the wedding. Plus, the air conditioner made the room damp. The next morning into the next day and evening we dealt with enormous steroid-using flies, earwigs, daddy-long legs, and rolly pollies. Yuck. We were so happy to check out, and for over $150 a night I didn't know that I was going camping indoors. The best part of our stay was the gym that we could use at the Sheraton next door. If you're planning to stay here, don't, but if you do, bring a fly swatter, flip flops to walk around in, a hair dryer (they don't have one) and bug spray. read more

I am very very surprised this motel got more than 3 stars, and I'm disappointed especially because of some of the reviews. If your on a special family vacation, maybe this isn't your location to stay. I walked into the room and had to turn on every light to my surprise was still not enough, and my nose was greeted with a smell that I could only describe as an unclean fragrance. You also can whiteness a mini fridge that reminds me of the kind you would get for the lowest price in college because u needed something, and this was all you could get. The bathroom isn't the finest-in-the-lot either. The lighting barely makes a difference, and will flicker of when small things are plugged in. Has another person ever wanted to blow dry or iron when your in the shower? Well you better think twice, cause I know I took a few showers in the dark. Speaking of Irons and blow dryers, they don't have enough for all of the rooms, so your really playing the lottery with the front desk if they have them or not when they come, because they are not in your room, and they don't have enough for everyone. The shower floor could be cleaner as well, the bathroom floor as well. Oh man, I should have taken and included a picture of the huge daddy-long-legs I took a shower with, because with a fear of spiders, I thought I was going to pass out. To my surprise it was the only bug I saw inside of the room, but outside cleaning cobwebs spiders and other critters was an issue, but what can you do. The pool area is nice. You have to watch out for the old bolts of a past diving board that no longer occupy the space, but it's not hard to miss big rusty bolts. There is no lifeguard. The most interesting thing is that there is a Sheraton right next to this motel and is actually owned by it! The Sheraton is very nice, has a really nice indoor and outdoor pool, the rooms are very nice and has everything you would need, and the staff is friendly. It might be worth it to pay a little more and stay there, I thought I made a difference, but it's the little things that make me happy, and I like to feel very settled in a hotel room which was about 10x easier in the hotel next to the Ocean Park In. Overall, it wasn't a complete vacation ruiner, but I wouldn't say that it make the vacation feel more quality, and it's sad to say that I could 9 years ago read more

A total for dump. Avoid at all cost. Mold in bathroom, food from previous guests on floor, musty, and I am pretty sure the room had fleas. Told management and barely got a reaction. Additionally, the hair dryer didn't come with the room, you need to ask for one and they are only available on a first come basis. The room isn't stocked with shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc., that was total surprise. The desk at the Four Point next door did give me a bar of soap! Some windows opened, some didn't, and one didn't lock. (The one with street access) Honestly, try sleeping in your car along Rt 6. before checking-in here! read more

For the two nights we stayed it provided its use well. Our only disappointments was the door bolt lock did not work and there was a slight bad odor in the room but, you get use to it. We mainly use the place for sleep and getting ready to go out so we didn't spend that much time in the room. The room felt old but kept cleaned enough that we really don't have any complaints except for the ones above. For a short stay I would recommend it. read more

It's basically a very Spartan apartment with three rooms (one with two full size beds, one w/one full size and the last with two couches and a kitchen table/microwave/fridge. Only one bath. For the price, it's pretty good and clean. It's not Embassy Suites. Wifi is not good, really useless. Outdoor pool and lawn area is decent. You can use the facilities next door at Four Points Sheraton. Like their wifi, fitness center, indoor pool. (Owners own both location s) read more

We went for one night to Cape Cod and stayed at Ocean Park Inn in Eastham. It was a great experience, Room #3 was really nice and large - the bed was super comfortable and I am fussy about mattresses. The room was clean a bit dated but that fact really didn't matter to us. The grounds are nice with sitting outside areas, nice pool both outdoor and access to indoor. I also like the hammock. The refrigerator was nice but consider a microwave. The one complaint please have more soap in bathroom. Also, reasonable price for summer season, a good value. read more

This place is HORRIBLE. The staff are incompetent, rude, and liars. Someone in our group returned to the room alone at night and was unable to get in because her key didn't work. After finally getting someone on the phone she was informed that they had the same issue a few days earlier and knowingly gave us a key that didn't work. Then when the person showed up to let her in he called her a bitch because she was voicing her frustrations that a young women was stuck alone outside in the dark because they knowingly gave us a faulty key. The next day when we went to address the issue with the person at the desk while checking out she said they didn't know the key didn't work, whomever we talked to never said that they knew the keys didn't work, and that the person who let my friend in, who was supposedly the manager, never called her a bitch (as if someone would admit that). She then said the key does work and when we took her over there to show her she had basically nothing to say and just left with the keys. Not apologies, no refunds, just flat out disregard for guests and their safety. Not to mention that all the windows had been unlocked when we first got to the room and we were on the first floor. Clearly they don't care if anyone is safe. It's a shame since they property looks very nice. Not worth the trouble though, you're better off at any other motel on the street. read more

I seen Ocean Park Inn just down the road and walked in to find a very helpful host in the office named Fred. He was very polite and to the point. He got us in to our room in under 10 mins! I am giving this hotel a 4 based on customer service for sure. The hotel concierge staff was very polite and helpful. My family had booked 5 rooms back in March for a reunion. 3 of our rooms were cancelled the night before our stay, our payments were declined, we have since received new debit/credit cards since booking and we didn't even think to call.. We received emails confirming the cancellations, my brother was able to rebook right away, my aunt and I weren't as lucky. The rooms we requested had been booked with in 30 minutes of cancellation. In a panic I called and tried to finagle my way into another room but the hotel was all booked. Cassandra the young lady I spoke with took the brunt of my frustration and called me down, she searched the entire area for another room. She communicated via email to keep me posted on her search. Fortunately, a family member cancelled his room and I was able to take it last minute. She definitely went above and beyond ensuring we would be able to attend my family gathering, most places don't care about your problems and she made it a priority to help us. We stayed in room 30, it was very clean and comfortable. The pool was awesome, my kids and bf had a blast all day Saturday. The hotel provided us with breakfast vouchers at the Sheraton next door, the buffet was pleasant and filling. The staff there were just as nice as well. I would absolutely go back to this hotel.
