Our gorgeous view from our 2nd floor balcony...It doesn't get much better than this!!!

Location, Location, Location (!) Right on the beach and close to both Provincetown and The National Seashore Beaches. This motel far exceeded any of my expectations and I'm happy to recommend it! I was traveling with a friend and we both enjoyed our stay very much. The room was large, squeaky clean, and nicely decorated with super comfy beds, and an updated kitchenette and dining area. The bathroom also looked recently updated and had a nice, large, step-in shower to wash the salt and sand off after a day of beachcombing! And, there are sliders opening to a good sized balcony (2nd floor) to enjoy the sea breezes and gorgeous views of the ocean! They also have a private, well maintained, beach area complete with beach chairs, a few picnic tables and a fire pit, too! I love the Cape and have visited many times over the years and I can honestly say the Sandbars Inn is now on my list of favorite places to stay on the Cape and I hope to be able to return there soon! Wonderful!!!

My family and I had a wonderful stay here. Sandbars is small enough to feel like it's your own piece of North Truro. While the rooms were a bit too small for our four family groups, they were well equipped with very comfortable beds and very reliable wi-fi. Right on the bay beach, there are lots of Adirondack and lounge chairs, a fire pit, and grills of all of which we made ample use. Starting with Joe, the entire staff couldn't be better. No request or question was unreasonable or too big, and each person was friendly and professional.

We had terrific day. We arrived early and they got the room ready as quickly as possible and allowed us to check in a few hours before the actual check in time. The room was very clean and well equipped with your usual kitchen necessities. The staff was always very pleasant. Beach access directly outside your room, and they've taken very good care of the property. There are ample chairs and lounges for every guest. There is also a fire pit as well as a barbecue. Free parking and only a few minutes from Provincetown are other perks of the place. One of the main reasons we chose this place to stay is that it is dog friendly. Lots of people came with dogs, and it was a very friendly atmosphere.

Sandbars Hotel was a true Cape Cod experience. My room was clean, well appointed, and had fresh flowers when I arrived. The view from my second floor balcony spanned from PTown to Wellfleet. The beach is typical Cape Cod, so bring your beach shoes (seashells, seaweed floating, rough sand), this is typical throughout the Cape. They have outdoor grills, a huge fire pit, and Adirondack chairs to sit in the sand. The staff (owners) were very friendly and helpful. I was very polite and they both returned the favor. I wish I hadn't rented a car for this trip. Wasted money. Take the fast ferry from Boston to PTown and GoogleMap your way to the hotel by public bus ($2 each way from PTown) along route 6A, or grab a taxi. Be sure to check in during business hours though as the office closes at 6. I'm sure they'd accommodate you if you're late though. To make a long story longer, this hotel is much better than most of the other ones I've seen: it's closest to the beach and water, plus it has direct views of the harbor/ocean. I'll be back. The price is worth it. We had the superior king room for 5 nights. Get a 2nd floor room...keeps looky lou's away.

What a beautiful place. We were greeted by the friendliest innkeeper ever and was so impressed by his kindness and attention to detail. He had everything ready for us and had already turned on the lights in the room. When we walked through the front door of our room we were struck by the beauty out the sliding glass door leading our to the beach. It was perfect. We walked right out to a gorgeous private beach which included sand chairs, a fire pit, and an unobstructed view of Provincetown landmarks. Our only regret was that we were staying only one night. The room is tastefully done and very welcoming. Everything is well-maintained. It was nice to have a small kitchen, again, so sad that we were only there a night. We will definitely return and will plan to spend more time. Thank you, Sandbars Inn. We loved every minute.

Thankfully, we got full credit for both flights and hotel. But the beach itch was real, so we decided on a road trip. Tried Rehoboth Beach- sold out, tried Dewey Beach, also sold out. My non-Yelp husband, chose the Cape. Don't be fooled by the "hotel" in the name. It's got a fresh coat of paint, some funky furniture and a trendy vibe, but peel that onion and... it's still a motel. That said, our room had perks: bay views across the street, two bathrooms, a decent living room, broom+dustpan, iron+ board and other basics. There's complimentary tea and coffee in the lobby area and a pantry filled with snacks for sale. The grounds are kept clean and there's a bonfire we enjoyed in the evenings when the Cape's temps got cool. And a complimentary yoga sess that my body just needed to reset. However, our blanket had like small, old (blood?) spots, mushy pillows and a security bar that practically fell off the wall every time I tried to lock the door. Harbor H. is put together nicely and the lobby has a solid coastal feel. Service was great and shoutout to Shawn & Maurice at the desk for their super welcoming energy. The nightly rate was insane. But mid-August, last-minute, A LOT of Ptown's B&Bs and hotels are booked, with everyone and their great-grandmother traveling- I get it. For the 4 nights we paid, we expected wayyy more.

The rooms were lovely, with comfortable beds and couches and fridges stocked with filtered water. The little garden outside was beautiful, with a tiny fountain stocked with goldfish which I had to stop and visit on the way in and out each day. The inn isn't right in the heart of town, which meant it was a lot quieter, which was nice for what we needed. Most of the restaurants were a 15-20 minute walk from where we were staying. The entire walk was full of little shops and galleries-- no hardship to wander past those again and again. Breakfasts were spectacular-- multi course affairs with fantastic coffee and amazing locally pressed juice. Fresh baked scones and gorgeous fruit tarts and shakshukas. All delicious. The entire experience was just beautiful. It sounds a little cliché, but it really did feel more like being invited to stay with your eclectic aunt than it did like a hotel stay. Just wonderful.

The restaurant space at this property is stunning inside and out, and the views of the harbor are always breathtaking. We were seated by a smiling and friendly hostess. We started off with a Negroni mocktail and a Cosmopolitan. Both cocktails were expertly prepared and delicious. Our first shared course was oysters en brochette. These were Wellfleet oysters wrapped in bacon that appeared to be battered and fried. They were decadent, very delicious, and served with a Creole mustard sauce. For our entrées, we chose from the à la carte menu, which included grilled salmon with a citrus beurre blanc sauce and a grilled lobster tail from a 2-pound lobster served with drawn butter. The side dishes we chose were roasted potatoes, asparagus, and mascarpone grits. While eating, we both continually commented on how perfectly everything was cooked and how delicious everything tasted. It was amazing. The only miss here was the mascarpone grits. They had no flavor, and the expected creaminess from the mascarpone was lost on us. We asked our server for some salt and pepper and added it to the grits, which greatly improved the flavor profile. Our desserts looked and tasted just as amazing as the rest of our meal. The crème brûlée was delicious, and the flourless chocolate torte with raspberry sauce was amazing. I included photos, but we devoured the chocolate torte so quickly that all I can show is an empty plate. The service was a bit disappointing. It was slow and inattentive, which surprised us because the restaurant was not busy, there were a lot of staff, and there were many empty tables around us. The interaction with our server was very friendly, however, and she seemed very nice. Every time I dine at the Red Inn, I wonder why I don't spend more time there. The bar space is inviting and offers beautiful views of the harbor as well.

I am extremely conscientious about making appointments, reservations, and handling finances. I clearly specified the dates I wanted a reservation for. The "final confirmation" page before clicking the submit button showed the correct dates. A week prior to the arrival date I had requested, I received a welcome email, and a bit later, a text from one of the innkeepers stating that I should call if I expected to arrive after 8:30 PM. At the time, I thought, "great, I love it when people are prepared well in advance." I returned the text stating that I expected to arrive well before 8:30. This was all in the belief that everyone was on the same page - that this is all for the following weekend. But then I received a text stating that it was after 8:30 and that I should call the front desk, and that's when I said, "wait... what?" The innkeeper was obviously referencing that day, and not the following week. I replied with aforementioned "wait... what?" and also that I had made a reservation for the following weekend. In short, the rest of the communication process did not go well. It was clear to me that something went wrong with the reservation system. The innkeepers sounded offended at my suggestion that this was what had happened, and were a bit snobbish rather than engaging and helpful, as should be expected from a hospitality business. In the end, after a phone conversation, the inn decided to offer a refund, which was nothing more or less than the right thing to do. Ultimately, I'm not upset that an error occurred. That's part of life. I'm upset about their general attitude, and because of that, I'll not be returning to this otherwise lovely place under current ownership. My review is one star due to this experience, but because ultimately they did the right thing a la a refund, I'm adding a second star.
