Got a salad and pizza. They don't give enough dressing and they must know because the server asked if I wanted more before I asked her myself. The pizza was alright nothing special. The place itself felt a little rundown and unkept. The booth next to mine was where they stored the sandwich rolls which is strange. Not sure if that is what they always do or if it was just that day. Who knows. I don't live in the area so I probably will never go there again even if I am out that way. It's usually great but when we ask for no olives on a quesadilla it means no olives. Not sure why that's a thing anyway.. Not sure I'll be coming back if slice orders have a miscommunication. Zero stars are not allowed, so one being the lowest, I had no choice but to give a one star rating...I am disabled and walked in at about 3:45 after work intending to buy a few pieces of pie for dessert for my family. I walked into the restaurant with my cane and went straight to the dessert counter, looking over the desserts. As I walked in, a man who was coming in to pick up a pizza he had ordered walked in behind me as I held the door for him. The man working sr the counter immediately said hello to the man behind me, totally ignoring me. As they had their conversation, including the fact that their credit card machine wasn't working, I stood at the dessert counter for about 5-10 minutes waiting for someone to come help me, but instead, I watched the employees that were there just wander around. The restaurant was not busy/not full of customers. My final straw was when the employee at the counter answered the phone to take an order, then turned around and headed in the opposite direction. Never did he even say hello or acknowledge the fact that I had walked in the door. I could have understood if he was actually busy, in which case, he could have at the very least said Hello, I'm sorry, I will be with you in a moment, or something to that effect. When he turned his back on me, he never even looked back at me when I loudly exclaimed YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. I will never go back to a business that doesn't appreciate potential customers. Whether or not a restaurant may have good or amazing food is completely irrelevant if customer service is terrible. read more

This is a local pizza restaurant. It is a place that no one would go out of their way to come here. The owners should put some money in their decor. Wood panels have never been a thing I like to see. I ordered a large bacon and scallop pizza because my friend highly recommended it and against my better judgment I agreed. The pizza was good, large and very tasty. I simply didn't like the combo. First time I ever ate anything from there. A friend of mine told me that they had really good pizza and me being a pizza aficionado I figured for sure I would be able to say, "it was good or it was bad." It was absolutely one of the best pizzas I've ever had. They don't skimp on the cheese. They don't skimp on the meat that they put on top. The crust is a very, very nice crust. Great mousaka pizza! Wonderful staff and a clean comfortable setting. Decent parking and a huge menu also made it a great lunch stop. Beer selection is extremely pedestrian with maybe Sam Adams Winter the closest to a craft ale. I don't believe there were any IPA's or stouts on the menu. Still, for Pizza pretty much any beer will work out and if it's that important, order takeout! They have an excellent dessert selection that we didn't try because we were too full but I'd like to go back for that someday. I'll probably always order a mousaka pie when I'm in the area and just take it home and eat it in secret in the closet so I don't have to share it with anyone! read more

This place is awesomeee!!! Hubs and I love it and get take out from here at least once a week, their pizzas are amazing! They are reasonably priced and the small is enough for two people. The large chicken salad is SO good comes with two cups of dressing which is great because they pack it up with chicken and lettuce (I have never had nasty lettuce from here, always fresh!) my husband has also had the quesadillas from here and he said they were very good and it was pretty decently big. Oh also we've had chocolate chip cookies they are SO soft and big (delicious), we have also had Oreo cheesecake and wow to die for! Def check out this place, the food has always been ready when they said it would be and super fast checking out (at least for take out). read more

Friendly Pizza House and Restaurant is a small hole in the wall restaurant located about 10 minutes away from Mohegan Sun. Upon entering the restaurant it reminded me of a place that I used to frequent as a youngester - wood paneled walls and vinyl covered booths encompassed the restaurant. The menu is pretty standard boasting a variety of grinders and pizzas (Greek style) as well as several Italian Dinners choices. They also had two soups (Italian Wedding and New England Clam Chowder) to choose from. There were also several beers both on tap and in the bottle to choose from. The waiter was very pleasant and attentive and our food was brought out quickly. The employees and patrons all seemed to know each other, which I take to be a good sign. I ordered a hot turkey grinder and Mark ordered a hot roast beef grinder. Mark thought his sandwich was quite tasty - the roast beef rare and not over cooked. I can also say the same about my turkey grinder and was pleasantly surprised at the moistness of the meat. My one fault was that the bread was not memorable - it was not very hearty and did not have a good "chew" to it. We also ordered a grilled chicken salad to share. I don't believe it was worth the $8.95 price tag as it only contained iceberg lettuce, 5 grape tomatoes and some cucumbers. No onions :(. I will commend them on the chicken which was moist but needed a bit more S&P. All in all a pleasant experience with solid local food at affordable prices. Next time I will have to try their pizza - which seemed to be the popular choice among all the patrons dining around us. read more

I'm a little biased... I basically grew up eating their pizzas and grinders. This is my comfort food. A great little pizza joint, low lighting, local scene - which can be hillarious, good eats. I encourage everyone to try their spaghetti pizza - specifically spaghetti and broccoli, which is my personal favorite. If you're visiting the Mohegan Sun, and have a car, take the short drive down. We (a party of 3) were passing through town and decided to stop for a bite to eat. A whole in the wall looking restaurant but inside was clean, and the staff was very friendly. We were served right away and the food came fast. We got a large, half cheese half buffalo chicken pizza and it was delicious. The crust was crunchy and the cheese and sauce was not too salty. They were generous with the amount of chicken on the pie. Although the large was only 14 inches (fairly small) and our bill (with a 2 liter bottle of soda) came to $20, we left extremely satisfied and will definitely return! read more

Friendly? Absolutely! But that's about it. The place was packed by the time we havd left, about 6pm on Saturday and I couldn't figure out what the draw was. But I guess being in the middle of nowhere and the only other food option is the overpriced Mohegan Sun, this must be the go to place for the locals and anyone visiting the casino. Found the prices to be rather high for what we received,. A "large" pie couldn't have been more than 14 inches. For chicken, diced tomoatoes and cheese (no sauce) it cost over $19! And it wasn't great pizza. It was ok. The crust was more of a Greek style, very airy and crisp yet thin. The cheese wasn't browned or bubbly at all and the pizza really had no flavor even though the White pie was supposed to come with olive oil, parmesian cheese, garlic and black pepper. Didn't taste any of those flavors at all. Another complaint is how long it took!!!! When we arrived, there was only 2 other tables occupied. By the time we had received our food, the place was packed, about 45 minutes later! How does a pizza take 45 minutes to cook and the cheese isn't even done? We won't be back. Do yourselves a favor and drive the extra 5 minutes past the Casino as if you are heading to Foxwoods. There is a great pizza place which offers much bigger pizzas for less money for even better quality. Wish I could think of the name of it... read more
