This place has gone wayyy downhill since my previous review some years ago. I came back here today with my husband and tried it again since I remembered this place being good. I came in and got a large which is 4 scoops of protein. I got 3 scoops of salmon and 1 scoop of spicy. The lady gives me 2 scoops and on the third scoop they gave me the last two pieces of salmon in the container since they were running out of salmon. She goes and gets the new batch of salmon and gives me a fourth scoop instead of correcting That third scoop was 2 pieces of salmon. The owner tries sitting there arguing with me that the portion size was a medium. Ok but I'm paying for a large and i expect a large portion cause what am i paying an additional $2.00 for. Skimpy and stingy as hell! The toppings are basic and the same as every other poke place. I will not be returning to this place. Don't come here. Go to PokenSalad on Winchester. This place blows. It's sad because the owner use to be so nice and understanding of the customer. Paid $16 for a bowl that's skimpy. $5.50 for a boba. Overpriced. Not worth it. Go elsewhere. read more

Poke is definitely my favorite food so I make a point to try every new spot in the town. By far one of the better poke places. Great portions and good food quality. Terrible service the white girl working here is rude. I ordered one scoop of tuna and one scoop of salmon, they put my scoop of salmon and and when I asked for my scoop of tuna the white girl grabs a scoop and drops it right on top of the salmon. Decent food, terrible service. Ordered online, received email telling me when it would be ready. On a tight schedule, I went in to get my food and run out, but, it wasn't ready. Overpriced very cheap with their protein. I paid about 15 bucks for a medium that's three proteins and I saw them use a baby ice cream scoop to scoop the fish. I'm talking very low amount of protein. The other dish I got was the beef teriyaki onions, all fatty meat and that was also about $13. I found a coupon so I decided to try this place. Everything they had on the counter was fresh. I got the small- 2 scoops of salmon/ahi tuna. It was good on a bed of greens. I put wasabi, ponzu, house and juzu as a dressing. Then I added avocado (it's not extra), cucumbers, spicy crab, ginger, and edamame. It was yummy. This was my second time coming back. This time, no more coupon, I'm willing to pay the full amount because I liked it a lot the first time. Service was good, staff was friendly, very accommodating with my request- sometimes I like to ask for the ginger on the side and extra sauce on the side in case my salad needs more. Price is fair. This place has a very calm vibe, which really rocks my socks. The employees are very friendly and will recommend things that blend well. They even have Taro flavored smoothies! Being from Hawai'i, it brings some memories back. This place would have been my go to spot if the rice wasn't cold and near the bottom had a really bitter taste. I go there way to often ^_^ almost to the point that the servers know what to put in my bowl. But I love it. I go there mostly every weekend. Actually I went there today. It was amazing. Oh, Ocean Poke... Today I visited for the first time in about 4 months. I orderd a large bowl. The amount of fish given was maybe one-third than what I have received in the past. Toppings were skimpy! I asked for extra cilantro and they said it would be 75¢ more! Mind you, they put maybe 5 leaves worth of cilantro to begin with. They were stingy with the salad, the sauces, the toppings, etc. So skimpy in fact, that there was space leftover in the box. I cannot believe I paid $17 for it. Fish has always been fresh and service is great ,especially the women who have helped me there are great tried a few recommendations of theres and now they are my go to toppings. Staff were very patient with my 6 and 8 year olds with he several tastings and samples. The price is decent considering you have access to fresh everything, from the proteins to the masago, all was wonderful. I had the Hawaiian pizza that was both spicy and delicious, I very much enjoyed the place, clean and comfortable environment. I would recommend anyone to come out to give this place a shot. Passed this place a million times, but never realized they served Boba until my visiting sister-in-law pointed it out. This is now my fave spot! They serve honey Boba which I'd never had before. It's delicious! My sister-in-law tried their Langostino bowl, and just about died at first bite, she loved it so much. The only reason for the four stars is my sister-in-law and I felt a little lost as a newcomer, and there didn't seem to be a friendly catering towards that kind of customer. I can get over that for that yummy Boba, but I imagine there are many others who would not feel the same way. Had it not been for me, my sister-in-law would have been very uncomfortable, and probably wouldn't have bothered ordering anything. Great poke stop - the fish selection was not only impressive, but super fresh. All the ingredients were top notch as well, great seaweed salad (which is the most commonly potential nasty ingredient when it goes sour in poke shops IMO), a large selection of sauces and toppings, all the Hawaiian drinks, and Thai tea and boba too. Place was super busy and just cranking out bowl after bowl on a Wednesday @ 8pm - Price per person is a little high, but so is the quality and value. Almost 20 bucks out the door for the large bowl and a drink.....but it feels like I ate my fill at a sushi dinner for a portion of what that would cost @ a sushi place - Ocean poke is the best!
