Very Unprofessional Experience This was my first time visiting Kung Fu Tea, and unfortunately, it will be my last. Happens on August 19 I came in around 8:30PM and asked the girl working that night which drinks had less sugar because I'm currently dealing with an injury that has Gout and need to avoid too much sugar. She told me that all the drinks have sugar. I understand that because is boba place, but I was specifically asking which drink had less sugar. Instead of simply answering my question, she started laughing really hard at me. I felt very uncomfortable and embarrassed by the way she reacted. I didn't want to be rude or cause a scene, so I told my friend that I was uncomfortable, and we both decided to leave. I understand that everyone has different personalities, but laughing at a customer for asking a reasonable question is not professional customer service. Stopped in to get some boba. I was greeted upon entry. It was fairly empty, but clean. I went with the milk teas, 1 Thai and 1 watermelon. They were very good I asked for fruity pebble type of flavor profile and the young lady recommended the watermelon. I liked it. The Thai tea with brown sugar boba was classic and tasted good. They have a cute claw machine with various prizes. There is plenty of seating and it shares a parking lot outside with the businesses in the same plaza. I'd definitely come here again. read more

Great place to grab boba. Very nice vibe inside. The service is pretty quick. I will say that their boba is usually really good, only a few times have we had boba that was somewhat too soggy. Otherwise, we usually go there all the time. One major feedback: the Kung Fu Tea app never works. I saw fellow Yelper Dojo A. had checked in here when they first opened, so naturally I had to go, lol! The place is clean and they have a great menu with seasonal drinks. I loved the Blueberry Series they had over the summer! I hope they bring it back again because that Blueberry Creamsicle is the shizznit!! I've tried a few others and they're always on point. The service is great, but I dropped a star based on my last visit. Service was slow and I think I waited maybe 20 minute for 2 drinks. It wasn't crazy packed, either. Maybe they were having an off day, but overall it's a good spot for boba or smoothies. Parking isn't a problem in the shopping center where it's located. I have spent a lot of money at this place since they opened for business. Their products are pretty good. Their service, however, should be categorized as non-existent. I walked in today and the lady working behind the counter did not acknowledge my presence for at least a minute. I've come to expect this so no big deal. Eventually, when she finally chose to address me, it was to let me know that I needed to use the "self-serve kiosk". I don't mind using self-serve kiosks, but I didn't like being instructed to do so. Nevertheless, I went ahead and attempted to use the kiosk. I searched two different categories and when I could not find the drink I was looking for, I thought to myself, "Why do I need to go through any level of frustration to give this place MY money?" So, I decided that I wouldn't. I turned and walked out. Self-service kiosks can be quite useful and in many instances, I prefer to use them. In this instance, however, I knew exactly what I wanted, but (based on prior experiences in this establishment) I was also pretty sure it wasn't on the standard menu. Self-serve kiosks should exist as an option to provide convenience to the CUSTOMER! The job is customer service; the duties include servicing the customer. I'll say the drinks are a 5/5 stars and usually made perfectly each time. We usually come at least twice a month and more often in the summer since they have opened. It's odd they are still understaffed and this is the only boba place that I know with only 1 worker making drinks. The workers are always working hard but every drink takes a bit of time so they can easily get backed up. Often times we wait 10-20 minutes occasionally longer. I placed an online order for pickup at 4:21, estimated completed drink was 4:36 and we arrived at 4:30. We had 3 people come after we arrived get their drinks before us then at 5:00 we're told they didn't have the juice for one of our drinks. Our drinks were finished at 5:05. I feel bad for the workers being so understaffed...where are the owners to help when it's busy? We are going to check out other boba establishments in the area. read more

We visited Kung Fu Tea located on Ynez in Palm Plaza on a Monday close to 8:00 pm. There were plenty of parking spaces that night. Inside, the lighting was dimmed and gave the feel of a relaxing mood. The staff was friendly and polite in answering questions. We ordered the ff. Items: - Oolong Milk Tea - Taro Milk Tea - Winter Melon Milk Green Tea Although the teas were generally fine, I found the drinks to be lacking in flavor. The Oolong Tea came out dark and not a stint of milk added and the Taro did not appeal to itself as purple but off-white. Despite the color differences, we felt that we had to chase the taro and melon flavorings and we weren't able to catch the true flavor of each drink. I've had my wide range of boba experience through out the years and these are always the quality I look for: 1. First and foremost is the quality and taste of tea. Often times, people have to understand that the main base of this kind of drinks is the tea and not the boba. So make sure you get the best quality tea as you will soon realize that possibly most of the boba drinks you have are very diluted and sometimes it's almost like a "tea flavored" water. 2. Quality of boba - making perfect boba takes a lot of finesse and art. The perfect boba should not be chewy and should not be big sized. It should not create this weird sensation when chewing it and it should be Cooked In honey or brown sugar. Places that do it this way, I believe understands how boba should be cooked. 3. Quality of milk and sweetener. - this can be tough to size up as everyone has their own preference of sweetness. So if it's your first time having boba, ask the bobarista if the drink you're offering comes very sweet at its regular 100% level or not. The bobarista should know this. If they don't, that's a bad sign. But to be safe, go with 50% sweetness or ask if you can try a sample. I haven't tried asking from here but another boba place actually had me taste it first before they made my drink. So here's my objective review on my first visit: 1. The quality and taste of their tea is probably the best from among the other boba places. I can taste that it is great quality and freshly brewed. The honey oolong tea was so good!!! 2. The boba was just right for my preference and I'm glad that they cook it most probably using honey coz it doesn' have that brown sugary taste 3. Lastly I love the ambiance of the store. It's clean and well decorated. I will definitely be a regular customer and try their other drinks. Glad we have a KFT in Temecula. read more

While I would have preferred a more pronounced tea flavor, the balance between the milk and the tea was pretty good and I did still enjoy the drink overall. My husband's favorite is their Kung Fu Tea with Boba. He's picky and he thinks theirs is the best.
