Starting with excellent valet service, I felt welcome although I was in very casual attire, that didn't matter. For my girlfriends and myself, this was a one of a kind dining experience. The restaurant has a wonderful decor, our waiter (Shawn) was a borderline food genius. Just like their website says they do take care of you when you enter their doors, this is an excellent restaurant to celebrate a special occasion or a date night. Went for an anniversary dinner. The service was impeccable and the food outstanding. I had the aged bone in strip and my wife the lobster tails. The shrimp cocktail is also one of the best I have tried. This is definitely an expensive meal but there are multiple other places in the area with the same expense and not the same quality. I have never been to an Ocean Prime before and saw all the great reviews and decided to go for it on 6/11/17. I ordered a cowboy ribeye and my steak was cooked perfectly and had an awesome seasoning and great char taste from the grill. We ordered half portion sides and did the mushrooms, black truffle mac n cheese, brussel sprouts and lobster mashed potatoes...all were amazing. The bar was nice and no offense Ocean Prime, but the musician was too GOOD to be playing in a restaurant!!! Give that man a raise!! He was great and played a wide selection of 80's and current songs. His guitar playing skills and voice were on point to say the least (he did some Mumford and Sons songs that made people turn around and watch). Look at my past reviews and you will see that I am a steak-o-holic and do not play around when it comes to steak! :) That being said, this place is now my go to restaurant for steak in Orlando. read more

We have been coming here for my daughters birthday every year for the past 4 years. While staying at the Ritz for vacation the concierge recommended it and it has been amazing. Every experience has been incredible. The service has been consistently excellent year-over-year. The food, drinks and staff have been consistently amazing year-over-year. Very few restaurants can be this consistently excellent, it is a true sign of a good restaurant. The surf and turf appetizer is "lick the plate clean" worthy. The Alaskan King crab legs were gigantic and perfectly prepared. The drinks the bread the appetizers the sides and of course the Filet perfect and delicious. Service was great and ambiance was supurb. However, the food was hit or miss. Bone-in Ribeye medium rare, came out very rare and salty...had to send back. The creamed spinach was also very salty...the server took it off the bill. The calamari was AMAZING. Lobster mac&cheese and au gratton potatoes were very good. Crab cake was pretty good, but much better at the Boathouse. The sushi roll was terrible too much mayo and rice was undercooked (we did not complain about this but should have). My fiancé and I were visiting from California and wanted to celebrate our anniversary at a nice restaurant and I'm so happy we chose Ocean Prime! 10/10 all the way around from service to food! I requested a booth which they accommodated and our waitress Dana was amazing. She was very friendly and knew everything about the menu and happily answered any questions we had. The servers we had were more than delighted to showcase their menu and suggestions to us. My girlfriend and I start off with some cocktails with bubble berry and a watermelon oynx. Both were delightful and strong. Their lobster bisque is to die for, as well as their salad with walnuts and cheese. For the main NY strip was bursting with flavor, while the teriyaki salmon was tasty. Last was desert with their version of carrot cake. I'm very impressed by the experience, and I will defiantly visit again if I have chance. The night before this, I went to Bull & Bear, which is also a fine dinning restaurant around the area, and I was disappointed by that place. Bull & Bear tries to make everything fancy, but their food are so average. In ocean prime, I had the best French onion soup I've ever had. The lobster meet in the lobster roll is fresh and taste outstanding. I also have half dozen of raw oysters, and they are fresh. Service is very nice, and professional. Finally, I had a cowboy steak which is a bone in ribeye, and it is off menu. I ordered black truffle butter on top, and the steak was cooked to prefect and the truffle flavor blended in very well. My girlfriend had a 8oz filet and she liked it as well. For dessert, we order warm butter cake, and it was a nice finish. We spent 201 before tax, which is about 100 box cheaper than Bull & Bear. Service was friendly and professional, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. The night we came wine bottles were half price (up to $99), and we decided to indulge. For appetizers, we loved the juicy Alaskan king crab legs, with warmed butter cups and lemon wedges, after which we shared a wedge salad -- split for us in the kitchen, a nice touch. My son had buttered noodles and plain corn, which they made specially for him; again, a truly caring kitchen staff. My wife and I shared the special -- a huge tomahawk steak with a Flintstone-sized bone -- that was super tender despite us ordering it rare plus (nice and red). The flavor was rich, and it was cooked perfectly for our taste. Deserts were also incredible, and the martinis with blue cheese stuffed olives can't be beat! Ocean Prime has some tasty food and very good service One of colleagues got the name Ocean Prime from someplace and when I checked out the reviews I immediately made a reservation online for 7PM on a Thursday. Unfortunately we got tied up in conference business and didn't get to the restaurant until an hour after the reservation (I had called and told them we were going to be late). When we arrived, they didn't have a table free but we didn't mind waiting because we were late. The Maître d seemed to take it personal that she couldn't seat us immediately but we shortly were seated. The freshly baked bread was a nice touch. Two of us had the Grouper and one of us had the crab cakes for entrees and all were excellent. The Grouper was expertly cooked and buttery smooth. For sides we had the broccoli and the truffled mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was covered with shaved truffle --wonderful. All in all it was a wonderful meal and I'll be back the next time I'm in the area. read more

Our family of 3 arrived with reservations at 8:30pm and waited one hour until our entree was presented. The staff was kind but each time our waiter checked on us and promised the next course was on it's way, we saw nothing of him for at least 15 to 20 minutes. What amazed us was the fact there were empty tables all over and water was the only service we had consistently. Our evening was sooo laborous, we declined a wonderful dessert selection just to finally be able to leave. Once I told them which store had it on their menu, the chef called that location to get the recipe so that he could make it for me and my wife. I was blown away!
