We arrived right when it opened and it was not busy (surprising considering it's the holidays). Wait staff were very attentive, pleasant and were very informative on the menu. Food overall was phenomenal and I'm a HUGE fan of their Charred Octopus appetizer (very tender and their sauce is A+). Other highlights were the sea bass, prime rib, and rib eye. All so tender and don't need any sauce or seasoning. The scallops and lamb were a bit too well done but I don't think it took away anything overall. Sides were nothing spectacular (actually were some of salty) but I guess you have to pair the entrees with something. Definitely come for the holidays because they also decorate! I came back here to celebrate our anniversary with my girlfriend. At the beginning I was very upset with the service. Took a long time to bring us water, no bread, no menus,nothing. I realized that they were having problems with a table next to us, and our waitress was doing his best to handle that an give us attention. I really enjoyed my time at A Land Remembered at Rosen Shingle Creek. The staff is stupendous! I sat at the bar and Stefany (the bartender on duty) was on top of things, and made me a Blondie Espresso Martini that was to die for. I had their Prime Rib and a Loaded Baked Potato and both things were exquisite and flavorful. The steak was made to perfection, my compliments to the Chef. I really enjoyed seating at the bar as I was by myself and got to speak to the bartender and other people around me. The restaurant is classy and the ambiance there was rich and familial, which made me feel comfortable and at home. This place was absolutely incredible! My husband and I went there to celebrate a late birthday for me and an early holiday season treat and it did not disappoint. Everything that we had to eat was absolutely incredible. We had the crab cake and the buratta to start, both were delicious. My husband absolutely loved his steak and my fish was also incredible. The service is incredible, you have 2 different waiters taking care of you, so you're never left waiting for anything. Surprisingly I preferred the prime rib over the lamb as the sauce for the lamb was way too salty and I wish it came with the plain simple mint jelly. The chocolate cake was divine so make sure you order it. I called to clarify the dress code and was told business casual only to see dressed casual would have been more than enough. We got here over 30 minutes early for our reservation-- so we hung out at the bar. Really great bar service -- well made martini with attention to the finer details - shaken or stirred, type of olives, type of gin...all questions my husband appreciates. When we got seated -- they brought us bread with butter in the shape of a little alligator. Lol! The bread was off the charts incredible. We ordered the $190 tomahawk for 2. It came with 2 sides and 2 sauces. We got the collard greens and mashed potatoes and the peppercorn and chimichurri sauces. The steak was not exactly medium rare as we asked for -- more close to rare - fine for me but not what hubby enjoys. It didn't have a good salt/pepper crust on it nor did it have a good char. The flavor was meh. A well made steak should be able to stand by itself without sauce. This one needed the sauce. The collard greens were super salty! When I commented that to the waitress she said that they're usually that way-- but I've had amazing collard greens and they weren't so salty that it was impossible to eat too much. We were actually staying on property for this experience. Everything was really on point. You get the 5 star table service and glassware to match. The ambiance has a high end feel to it where everyone greets you and makes you feel welcome. Food was delicious. We both had steak with Prime Rib and NY Strip and sides. During the summer hey have a 3 course menu for $60 that varies which includes starter, entree, and dessert. I will say that the hotel over was just ok and needs some updating. I heard that other rooms have been updated but ours wasn't, but we signed up for the Rosen "black card" and it gets you 25% off most of the food, so that helps when you're dropping a few hundred on dinner. Staff was quite attentive to us, however, our table wasn't fully ready when we got seated (table and seats were still dirty when they sat us) which was not the best start to the meal. But they recovered with the quality of the food- started with a white moscato and rose gin & tonic which were both quite good. Then we devoured the lobster bisque appetizer and it was SO goood like probably one of the best I've had in a while! The lobster itself tasted so fresh and savory. From the moment we walked in the hostess treated us with so much warmness and it just got better and better from there with our server Jeannette. She was so sweet. Wifey and I hear about this restaurant from neighbors. It's on the Orlando magical dining list. I was told the prime rib was thick and it was. We both ordered prime rib. With the magical dining menu we each chose a wedge salad as a starter. For desert it was one chocolate cake and one key lime pie. We had them boxed to go. We ordered one creamed spinach to share. The magical dining is an annual event in Orlando. The last day is September 30, 2025. The steaks were looking good and tasted good. I could have done without the slap of cheese on my spinach,otherwise I enjoyed it. A nice bread basket with butter came first. Parking is available but a little confusing because the restaurant is near the golf club. If you're handicapped during magical dining they will park your car for free. Then it's a short walk to the restaurant. We got a ride to the restaurant from security in a golf cart. It rides six. Everything about our dining experience was exceptional! We started with the lamb chops -- perfectly tender and full of flavor. The bread was warm and soft, served with the cutest little gator-shaped butter. We enjoyed a couple of glasses of delicious wine before our entrées arrived. I had the Beef Wellington, and my wife ordered the filet. They did tell me that they cook their beef Wellington's are medium rare but I would say mine was rare. My wife's steak was cooked to her liking at medium. Our sides of mashed potatoes and baked squash with a buttery crumble and drizzle of hot honey were outstanding. We didn't have room for dessert, but the manager surprised us with a complimentary glass of crisp, cold champagne, which was such a thoughtful touch. Our server was attentive, and the entire staff, including the manager, made sure everything was perfect. First and foremost, parking is a little confusing, we decided to valet which is validated at the restaurant, I'm not sure about self parking, but there was a sign which was $28. Our reservations were for 5:30 and we arrived about 10 min early, to be told we could hang out in the bar area until closer to our time, when the place was completely empty. It was as if they wanted to squeeze cocktail money out of you before you are seated. I did just that and ordered a dirty martini while we waited two minutes for our table. Unfortunately, after a few sips I realized my cup had lipstick marks on it (not mine) so that kind of grossed me out... My husband and I ordered the Seared Sea Scallops, Lamb Chops, Slow-Roasted Prime Ribs, Lobster Mac and Cheese, Key Lime Pie, and Bourbon Milk Chocolate Cake. The scallops were perfection--crispy outside, tender inside--with a corn purée that made for a surprising but delightful pairing. The prime rib was hearty and cooked to perfection, and the desserts were outstanding. That Key Lime Pie? Easily one of my favorites. Service was impeccable. Our server was attentive and genuinely warm, making us feel so welcome. It's rare to dine somewhere where the staff seems happy you're there. First time here and what a treat! When we were greeted at the door, the smiling, charming hostess told us it was the "best steakhouse in the area". Having heard that multiple times, we were skeptical. However, she may have been very close. We started with the crab cake appetizer and I had the spicy Paloma (offered alcohol free or with alcohol). It was a nice drink and went well with our appetizer and the bread service. We opted to split the steakhouse wedge and are so glad we did. It was the perfect side salad! Crispy iceberg lettuce, cherry tomatoes, eggs and crispy pork lardons topped with Gorgonzola dressing and sesame dukkah. Delicious! We moved on to our dinners. I ordered the filet mignon medium well. My steak was plated with a garlic bulb and roasted tomatoes. It was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. My husband ordered the NY strip, cooked medium and it was also cooked perfectly and delicious We split the mashed potatoes and they were creamy and delicious. Stunning! All said, this was an amazing dining experience and the service was spectacular with Jorge as our server and Santiago as server assistant. I usually don't review upscale steakhouses because it doesn't appeal to everybody however, I've tried to remember on several different occasions as well as during magical dining. I have been getting the ribeye and I will just say my most recent experience for My Husband 's birthday. They sure did make it very special. Our steaks were cooked slightly wrong and they were able to fix it quickly. They were extremely polite and I just believe this is an amazing restaurant personally it's very clean you park at the hotel in front of the golf shop . Magical Dining 2024 Review (here we go)! Ah, Rosen Shingle Creek. An expansive hotel that has been around for roughly 18 years and yet, I've never eaten at A Land Remembered. Well, after plans had been struck, I showed up promptly on a Monday evening for my magical dining experience. Upon arriving at Valet, it took awhile for the valet staff to greet me which happens occasionally. Nevertheless, they took my car and gave me incorrect directions to the restaurant . Side note, it is not inside the hotel necessarily. From valet there is a sidewalk adjacent to the building that takes you directly to the front entrance of the restaurant which is a few yards from the valet. Upon arriving my guest was already on site. We waited a few moments then were promptly seated. However, the waitress attempted to seat us in the bar area which I politely asked to be changed to the dining room. The bar area was somewhat noisy which a convention going on at the hotel. Nevertheless, we were then seated in the dining room but at a six top table and there were only 2 of us. Ok... The server welcomed us and brought waters to our table. After reviewing the wine list, I went for one I haven't yet tried (Honig). It was quite good and started the evening off. We were given a bread basket with the iconic alligator shaped butter. The bread was good. I enjoyed the croissant and the other bread that had bits of bacon in it. After reviewing the menu in full, we decided to go with the Scallops and Lamb Chops to start followed by the Tuna and Prime Rib with finally the cheesecake and chocolate cake. The appetizers were good with the lamb chops having a good flavor on the meat. The scallops were great (hard for them not to be) but they were lukewarm and could tell to have been sitting. The mains came out after awhile and the prime rib is a heavy portion. I think 20 ounces. It's standard prime rib IMO with thoughts of the holiday season in my mind. I had hoped instead of a 20 ounce prime rib they could also offer a much smaller filet . The tuna was a large portion and had good taste. Both dishes felt good but weren't overly impressive IMO. The desserts were funky with the chocolate cake having layers of fudge and the cheesecake being a banana flavor (Ok). At a steakhouse, I typically like a standard cheesecake but this was different and ok to try. Also every portion size was generous except the scallops. All in the all, this was a great magical dining venue. I don't think I'd opt to pay standard price though and rather head down the road to alternate venues. Our server was helpful! We went here for our Anniversary and had a pretty decent time. Parking was ample and close to the restaurant, so you didn't have to walk through the hotel to get there. Our scallop appetizer was delicious, but the mushrooms they added to the plate were large and chewy. We felt they were not needed. The buratta tomato salad was okay, but the tomatoes were out of season and very hard. Also, it needed more balsamic as they only added just a drizzle. My Chilean Sea Bass was cooked to perfection, but the lemon sauce was too sour. The potatoes were delicious, but the brussel sprouts were too hard and under cooked. My husband's steak was ordered medium, but came out rare. The server and Manager were both super friendly and gave us two desserts on the house. They were the STARS! Their Banana cheesecake was the best! Their Chocolate cake was so good too. The desserts saved the meal. We are glad we tried this restaurant but won't be going back. read more

We ordered double smoked old fashions and I changed the bourbon portion to Angels Envy and my husband kept his as is and both versions were delicious!! I have to be gluten free and our waiter Howie had the manager come to our table to go over the gluten free options, of which there were many. For appetizers I had the Burrata and my husband had the steakhouse wedge. We shared the bacon and had gluten free rolls too! For our entrees I had the half rack of the Australian lamb and my husband had the prime rib. For dessert we had chocolate cake and icecream! The food was prepared so beautifully and tasted incredible!! Then, upon leaving I said to Christie, the hostess, how I wished this restaurant was near where I live so I could celebrate my birthday there in addition to going often. With that, she brought me a balloon and complimentary piece of cake when she found out my birthday is next week and this was so unexpected. I like medium rare: it was pink in center but not juicy so fine. Mushrooms are quite interesting and worth trying. I wish I had left room for dessert as I am sure those are exceptional.
