Had a wonderful dinner at The Land Remembered last night with a group of nine. We enjoyed their special 3-course dinner menu, and I chose the seared Alaskan halibut--beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. The quality of the food and service was excellent, and I really appreciated the restaurant manager personally stopping by our table to check on us. This was our very first Magical Dining experience and it was excellent!!! I started with the octopus and my husband had the lamb. Both delicious. I don't typically like lamb, but I tried it, and it was really good! For the main course, my husband got the halibut, which I didn't get to try, but he enjoyed it. We arrived right when it opened and it was not busy (surprising considering it's the holidays). Wait staff were very attentive, pleasant and were very informative on the menu. Food overall was phenomenal and I'm a HUGE fan of their Charred Octopus appetizer (very tender and their sauce is A+). Other highlights were the sea bass, prime rib, and rib eye. All so tender and don't need any sauce or seasoning. The scallops and lamb were a bit too well done but I don't think it took away anything overall. I really enjoyed my time at A Land Remembered at Rosen Shingle Creek. The staff is stupendous! I sat at the bar and Stefany (the bartender on duty) was on top of things, and made me a Blondie Espresso Martini that was to die for. I had their Prime Rib and a Loaded Baked Potato and both things were exquisite and flavorful. The steak was made to perfection, my compliments to the Chef. I really enjoyed seating at the bar as I was by myself and got to speak to the bartender and other people around me. The restaurant is classy and the ambiance there was rich and familial, which made me feel comfortable and at home. I came back here to celebrate our anniversary with my girlfriend. At the beginning I was very upset with the service. Took a long time to bring us water, no bread, no menus,nothing. I realized that they were having problems with a table next to us, and our waitress was doing his best to handle that an give us attention. We got here over 30 minutes early for our reservation-- so we hung out at the bar. Really great bar service -- well made martini with attention to the finer details - shaken or stirred, type of olives, type of gin...all questions my husband appreciates. When we got seated -- they brought us bread with butter in the shape of a little alligator. Lol! The bread was off the charts incredible. We ordered the $190 tomahawk for 2. It came with 2 sides and 2 sauces. We got the collard greens and mashed potatoes and the peppercorn and chimichurri sauces. The steak was not exactly medium rare as we asked for -- more close to rare - fine for me but not what hubby enjoys. It didn't have a good salt/pepper crust on it nor did it have a good char. The flavor was meh. A well made steak should be able to stand by itself without sauce. This one needed the sauce. The collard greens were super salty! When I commented that to the waitress she said that they're usually that way-- but I've had amazing collard greens and they weren't so salty that it was impossible to eat too much. We were actually staying on property for this experience. Everything was really on point. You get the 5 star table service and glassware to match. The ambiance has a high end feel to it where everyone greets you and makes you feel welcome. Food was delicious. We both had steak with Prime Rib and NY Strip and sides. During the summer hey have a 3 course menu for $60 that varies which includes starter, entree, and dessert. I will say that the hotel over was just ok and needs some updating. I heard that other rooms have been updated but ours wasn't, but we signed up for the Rosen "black card" and it gets you 25% off most of the food, so that helps when you're dropping a few hundred on dinner. Then we devoured the lobster bisque appetizer and it was SO goood like probably one of the best I've had in a while! The lobster itself tasted so fresh and savory. From the moment we walked in the hostess treated us with so much warmness and it just got better and better from there with our server Jeannette. She was so sweet. Wifey and I hear about this restaurant from neighbors. It's on the Orlando magical dining list. I was told the prime rib was thick and it was. We both ordered prime rib. With the magical dining menu we each chose a wedge salad as a starter. For desert it was one chocolate cake and one key lime pie. We had them boxed to go. We ordered one creamed spinach to share. The magical dining is an annual event in Orlando. The last day is September 30, 2025. The steaks were looking good and tasted good. I could have done without the slap of cheese on my spinach,otherwise I enjoyed it. A nice bread basket with butter came first. Parking is available but a little confusing because the restaurant is near the golf club. If you're handicapped during magical dining they will park your car for free. Then it's a short walk to the restaurant. We got a ride to the restaurant from security in a golf cart. It rides six. Everything about our dining experience was exceptional! We started with the lamb chops -- perfectly tender and full of flavor. The bread was warm and soft, served with the cutest little gator-shaped butter. We enjoyed a couple of glasses of delicious wine before our entrées arrived. I had the Beef Wellington, and my wife ordered the filet. They did tell me that they cook their beef Wellington's are medium rare but I would say mine was rare. My wife's steak was cooked to her liking at medium. Our sides of mashed potatoes and baked squash with a buttery crumble and drizzle of hot honey were outstanding. We didn't have room for dessert, but the manager surprised us with a complimentary glass of crisp, cold champagne, which was such a thoughtful touch. Our server was attentive, and the entire staff, including the manager, made sure everything was perfect. The ambiance was very romantic for Mother's Day. We ordered the ribeye which was so juicy and the half chicken which had the most delicious sauce and was amazing this time. First and foremost, parking is a little confusing, we decided to valet which is validated at the restaurant, I'm not sure about self parking, but there was a sign which was $28. Our reservations were for 5:30 and we arrived about 10 min early, to be told we could hang out in the bar area until closer to our time, when the place was completely empty. It was as if they wanted to squeeze cocktail money out of you before you are seated. I did just that and ordered a dirty martini while we waited two minutes for our table. Unfortunately, after a few sips I realized my cup had lipstick marks on it (not mine) so that kind of grossed me out... Our server was super kind and walked us through both regular and magical dining menus. I opted for the $60 magical dining and ordered the scallops, prime rib, and the cheesecake. The scallops were very delicious and I loved the presentation. The prime rib was/ huge portion, but pretty fatty and decent flavor. I loved the cheesecake and would def recommend that. I almost skipped it, assuming from the name and location that it was a touristy, themed spot, but I was completely wrong. The scallops were perfection--crispy outside, tender inside--with a corn purée that made for a surprising but delightful pairing. The prime rib was hearty and cooked to perfection, and the desserts were outstanding. That Key Lime Pie? Easily one of my favorites. Service was impeccable. Our server was attentive and genuinely warm, making us feel so welcome. It's rare to dine somewhere where the staff seems happy you're there.
