This technician displayed disrespectful, rude, and unprofessional conduct. I was quite taken aback when he accessed my backyard to get to the AC outdoor unit through my living room, and patio (rather than the main door) without asking for my permission first. The unfortunate part, when he got to the back door of my patio, he forcefully pushed and slammed the screen door, nearly damaging it in the process. This man appeared to be extremely agitated or angry, and seemed ready to confront me! He was very loud that my next door neighbor's son came out to check what was going on at my place! Jared, your actions genuinely frightened me and made me feel unsafe! This guy was the second technician from Buehler Air and Plumbing to visit my home in three months regarding my AC issue. The first technician didn't address the root cause of the problem; instead, he claimed to find another issue that wasn't broken just to charge me more ($1200), rather than fixing the actual problem-- a burned wire in the outdoor unit that only required a $273 repair. For context, my AC system is only four years old, and this company replaced the entire system for $7,900 back in 2022. They not only failed to fix the primary issue originally, but they also disrespected my property by trespassing! Ultimately, I had to tell this technician, Jared, to use the main door he had originally entered, instead of coming through my living room and patio to access the AC unit in my backyard. His behavior was unacceptable! So, I strongly advise everyone, especially women, to be cautious when dealing with Buehler Air & Plumbing!

I'm on well water and concerned that it could do damage to my system, so I turned the well and pump off. At this point in time it's 4:30 pm. I'm not sure if anyone is aware of this, but I called four plumbing companies and not one had an emergency option! I was told they could come out sometime later in the week. I'm the meantime, I have no water. It was close to 5:00 pm and I called Donovan heat and Air and without any hesitation, told they would come out. The issue ended up being my main water line. William was here until after 8:00 pm and due some complications, they are back today and have discussed other solutions they were going to try in an effort to solve the problem! They are here as I'm typing this, but I just felt the need to put this review on Yelp! I personally can't begin to thank Donovan Heat & Air for their service, William and the way I was treated and assured by the young lady that took my call! I eventually got in contact with Cooler Bear Heat & Air, and Daniel came out and inspected the AC unit. After an hour or so looking at it, he came to the conclusion that the compressor was faulty and needed to be replaced. He explained it to me like I was a child, and that's how I knew I was with the right people. He made it easy to understand. After evaluating options, I opted to replace the whole unit because it just made sense to do so. Brent and his team made sure to make it work for me and my schedule and was very quick with the replacement of the unit. It was top notch service and they were on time. They explained everything to me wonderfully and advised what I needed to do to keep it running smoothly. I could not recommend this company more than I do and going forward, they will be the AC company I recommend to all my friends and customers.

Just got a notification that owner responded…read more There's no way to update my review, so - Owner called me & asked me to remove my review. He got frustrated. At no point during the call did he simply apologize & tell me that he did some research after his visit & later discover that he was not licensed to do work in Georgia. Instead, he just kept asking me to remove my review. Owner says I've written a bunch of negative reviews. See review summary. I was curious, so I double-checked - in 10+ years, I've written 827 - & 129 were 1 star reviews. That's less than 15%. I guess that's a lot to some people, but to me - his response & attempt to cast aspersions on my character makes me seriously question his honesty, integrity & professionalism. Background / history****** Back in January 2025 this company was dispatched, by HomeServe, & sent to an older rental home we own in southeast Georgia. While waiting for Homeserve to find a technician, the unit at our family home in the same town started to run non-stop so they were assigned that trouble call as well. Adam was the technician & owner. This visit was a 'second opinion' visit on the rental & it started off a bit rocky. HomeServe had struggled to find anyone local, & when they did send a someone, the original technician's diagnostic didn't make any sense. He said the unit needed to be cleaned before he could add refrigerant & did not believe that the unit had been cleaned that Summer - even though I witnessed the cleaning with my own eyes. It took MULTIPLE phone calls, but HomeServe finally acted on their promise to send another technician for a 'second look.' Once they assigned it to Salt Air (based in Jacksonville about 1 - 1.5 hrs away), for some reason, Mr. Adam kept texting me on my landline. I know this because my home phone number kept calling me & trying to 'read' the texts to me in that robo voice. Eventually, he started to call my cell phone. I couldn't answer because I was in the middle of physical therapy. During a break, I did attempt to call him back but got vmail. He'd left me a vmail saying he could be at the rental home by 4pm or 4:30pm at the latest, but I just needed to give him a call back. I wrapped up my appointment & texted the tenant to make sure she was ok with it (we try to stick to the 24 hour notice rule, but sometimes its better for the tenant if we can get it same day), then called him back to let him know the tenant had agreed to leave work a little early to meet him - but I got vmail so I texted him. When I finally spoke to him, verbally, he was wrapping up his day & the conversation was odd. First, he told me that he could accommodate any time that worked for my tenant. I explained that live 5.5 hours away, so I'm not able to just drive over & meet with repair people. When I suggested a 4pm appt, he said that was too late. I apologized & expressed my surprise - since he would have arrived at or around this time had he come that day. He explained that he was just trying to 'help me out' & that if he arrived that late in the day & needed a part, he'd struggle to get it because most supply houses close at 5pm & he wasn't even sure if there was a supply house nearby that he had an account with. I told him that was fine, but I'd need to coordinate with the caregiver to either meet him or unlock the door or wait until i was physically in tow. Because of the tenant's work schedule, she can only accommodate very early (8am) or very late (4 or 4:30pm) appts. The visits / assessments****** Once we got the appointment set up, he was very honest in his assessment of the rental property. He advised that he could add refrigerant but it might leak out in 3 months, or it might leak out in 48 hours. I told him to let me think about while he took a look at the other house. When he called me back, he a) told me that he changed his mind & was no longer willing to add refrigerant to the unit at the rental home because he just didn't feel comfortable & didn't want me to waste money on what might only be a very short term solution. & b) the compressor was bad at our family home & while it wasn't covered by HomeServe, it was still under warranty & he could do the work if I paid out of pocket. Homeserve rep called me & reiterated what Mr.Adam had said. He told me that I might be able to find a local person to repair it at a cheaper price & as a courtesy, he even texted me warranty info for the compressor & his price to repair (even breaking down labor versus refrigerant costs) so that they're be a record of it. I was disappointed in the news about the rental property HVAC, but told Mr. Adam I'd get back to him about the compressor repair. The flake-out****** So imagine my surprise when I reached out to him 14 days later to schedule the compressor repair & he tells me that he does not travel 'that far' for work & he's not licensed do installs in Georgia. I reminded him of our conversation & sent screenshots (see previous review.)

Extreme price gouging!!!! During a hard freeze this past winter my pipes froze and burst. My…read morerelative recommended this company so I called for assistance. They came the next day and repaired the damaged pipes and replaced two sub meters. The plumber they sent had never seen sub meters. He said I'd need to call JEA about them. I explained that they were mine and that I'd had them installed years prior. He had no clue where to get them. He went back to his truck after looking over the situation and I came back inside and called a plumbing supply company five minutes from my home that stated they carried them. I went out to his truck and told him where he could get the sub meters and he was sitting there clipping his nails! After a while he left and got the necessary supplies for the job and came back and made the necessary repairs. According the the owner of the company the sub meters cost $237.00 each totaling $474.00 there was four feet of PVC pipe replaced and the charge for the repair was $2,186.91. The repair took a total of three house counting the time the repair person sat in my driveway clipping his nails and doing whatever else he was doing but surely was not working on my repair. He didn't even wrap the piped with insulation after he replaced the broken pipes and meters. He told me I'd need to do that! Their hourly fee for this job works out to approximately $550.00 per hour! In my opinion that's price gouging. I spoke with Spencer, the owner of the company who told me they don't work "buy the hour" they price by the job and reminded me of overhead costs etc. He said he'd look over the paperwork for the job and see what he could do. After numerous attempts to contact him he finally offered me a $200.00 refund and said he'd mail it to me. After countless attempts to get the refund I finally drove to their "office" and in person I requested they write me a check. I waited about twenty minutes and got the $200.00 refund. I will NEVER call this company again!

I have a small (1 ft x 1 ft) area that was dirtier than the rest ( right under my desk) . " Can't guarantee we can get that clean without some special stuff that costs more." There was no attempt to try and get it done without an upcharge. I would call this a very untrustworthy company. I spoke to the franchisee Sean and he offered nothing. I had moved all of my furniture and was left high and dry. I notice other reviews here mentioning the young couple and how good they were. Sean evidently ran them off. I would not recommend using hese guys under any circumstances.

Everything from the sales person, Rob S.. to the installation technicians, Billy and Alex, went as smoothly and professionally as possible. Rob was patient with my questions and concerns and helped us get the best price for your needs. Billy and Alex were likewise very helpful answering my questions with a smile and thorough explanation when ever I asked. When they finished, they vacuumed all debris from the air unit replacement. Billy went out of his way by fixing the attic ceiling access frame that another contractor damaged and nailed back unevenly. Also, outside, both billy and alex answered additional questions. They went above and beyond in every way, which is no exagerration. I wish every encounter and results with contractors in the past had been a seamless and well done as this most recent experience. I was not asked to write a review - I feel compelled to do so because my husband and I are so grateful for Ocean State Air Conditioning & Heating. We have been customers for almost 25 years (ever since we built our house in 1992). We are blessed to live on the ocean, and we have three HVAC systems. The environment is obviously very hard on our systems. Ocean State has been our partner in maintaining these systems. We believe we get very fair pricing and excellent maintenance and warranty coverage. Glenn and his team have gone out of their way to earn our loyalty and satisfaction. Over the years, I have watched my neighbors change from one HVAC company to the next, always looking for the best deal. My HVAC system failed on a Friday afternoon. The AC company I normally use did not have an appointment available until Wednesday, so I tried Ocean State, that had been recommended to me by a friend. I called them on Friday and they sent a technician (Lynn) on Saturday morning. Due to the extent of the problem and age of the system I elected to have a new HVAC installed. The salesperson (Angel), who was very knowledgeable and helpful, came that same day. A new system was installed on Monday (Mark and Brian). Financing was arranged very quickly (Yvette). I was impressed by how courteous, knowledgeable, efficient and prompt everyone was. The installers took care not to damage the bushes around the outside unit and cleaned up nicely after the job. I noticed our AC wasn't cooling around 11AM. Like most people, I work from home. I had a four hour block of meetings, by 3PM my home was wet uncomfortable. I called Ocean State AC & Heating, they said a Service Representative would be onsite between 4-6PM (the same day)! I then received a confirmation call at 4:45PM advising their Rep was on the way. Robert S. arrived, completed a thorough review of the exterior & interior AC components and the thermostat. The AC problem was diagnosed and quickly repaired. Randy Bass has been servicing our AC/Heating unit and always does a great job. He even recommended tossing some moth balls into the outside unit to deter pests and placing an air freshener by the return duct to battle the musty smell. I didn't immediately blame the company because I was not sure what happened. I mentioned it to the guy that came to do the inspection a week after installation, he checked out my circuit breaker box and my dryer and says "it's some other problem, I don't know". Later I get an electrician to come check it out, and I find out that these aholes removed my dryer from the circuit breaker box and hid the cables, then lied about it when I brought it up. The funny thing is that if they had told me when they did, I would have been perfectly fine with it. I mentioned this to them after they texted me reminding me on my yearly inspection, and they say "I will run this by our people", a month later still nothing. These people are low class and very unprofessional.

Enea was very professional and friendly, patiently answered all my questions, and had the clog cleared, the drain pain cleaned, and replaced some PVC that I'd broken trying to clear it myself, all done is short order for a price that was lower than what I was expecting! My unit is old and will need replacing before long but he didn't try to hard sell me a new one right now like I've experienced with other home repair companies. Instead he gave me some tips to nurse it along a bit more while I save for the replacement and sent me some info on the type of unit I would need and a model he recommended for me to check out. When I'm really to pull the trigger on the new system, I'll be calling Epic and asking for Enea.
