What I don't really like is when store's use the word "dollar" in their name, but DON'T sell everything in the store for one dollar or less. For instance, "Family Dollar" (which, ironically, is RIGHT next door to this store) doesn't sell everything for a dollar, and previous stores I used to go to (Dollar Plus in Dedham, Dollar Plus in Walpole, both of which have closed). Anyway, this store isn't a dollar store, but thankfully didn't call themselves it. I had to do a double-take to realize the actual name of the store. It's really called "Super Discount Store". In the past, driving by, and until today I thought it said "Super Dollar Store". Anyway, this store is great. It has some of the best discounts around and a great stock of everything. I have one major complaint. The smell of the store. When walking into anywhere, it should smell great, or at least passable. I didn't notice if they sold any air fresheners, but if they do they should spray some around, and if not, management should walk next door to Family Dollar and buy one for the store, the Febreze "spring" edition would be nice. Anyhow, this stores best variety is clothing. They have good clothing at reasonable prices, and an extra large selection of "Boston" wear, and summer sandals. Other than that, all of the departments are mostly pretty good. The storage and container department was a bit overpriced, but other than that, everything from medical to toys to office supplies was all priced well and had a good, decent inventory. The lady working was friendly, kind, seemed to be working hard to keep the store clean (good employee!). Overall, this is a good discount store that I will be coming back to and purchasing more from. 4 stars.

This is about the best organized Dollar Tree location I've seen so far…read more I primarily shopped the cosmetic aisle when I was here which is a very tricky aisle for a store to keep organized and well faced. Well, this location nailed it. All of the various shades of a certain product were all hung on one peg. And by that I mean one peg for each shade unless there was a lot of one thing, then I did see two facings of the same item. There was a pretty good variety of shades and a lot of them were ones that I use. I ended up buying about 6 items this time around. I had been in this store several times before today and I figured where the store has kept things so nice over the at least 8 to 10 years that they have been open that it was time to give this location some acknowledgement for the hard work that they appear to be doing here. I only wish I lived closer to this location so that it could be the location that I primarily go to. It is a little more distance than I'd like for me to get there but when I happen to be in that area I always make it a point to stop here and get any items that I think I will be needing for a while and I do stock up. Also when I was in there this afternoon nothing was dusty. I can tell that this location sends the workers around with dusters to wipe off the products that they are selling. There were about 5 people in each line when I arrived to the front end to pay for my stuff, and two cashiers on duty, and the line moved a lot faster than I had anticipated so I am also very pleased with the speed of service. The store also sells, lots of other New Balance sportswear for both men and women....leggings, sweats, jackets, gym wear, socks and even hats and gloves all under the New Balance label. As this is a "factory store" with lower prices, you cannot always count on finding the exact thing you are looking for and in your size. That said, there seemed to be a huge array of inventory of all kinds. There are some things sold here that are "factory" seconds but those are clearly marked. If not marked as such you can be assured they are first quality. New Balance is a local Massachusetts company so it is nice to give them our business. Many, although not all, New Balance shoes are manufactured in the United States and they employ many New Englanders amongst their 5 manufacturing sites in Massachusetts and Maine. This is a good new story from a good news company trying to do the right thing here in the USA. This store is a bit out of the way for us but I would definitely return. There is another outlet a bit closer to us in Brighton but for us, that means traipsing in and through the city and ending up in a potential parking nightmare. Finally the manager of the store came over and suggested I get another awning. I said no, I would prefer a refund. The manager finally gave me my refund. Like the other Yelp reviewer said of Ocean State "Don't recommend giving money to this company. This place sucks. Management sucks. Employees suck. And the cheap damn products suck?" When you finally give up on consigning, as I did, and ask very politely for the funds from your last sale, expect to receive nothing. Because "you don't have enough in your account so you'll have to ask the owner". Ask the owner for the funds from my own consigned items, but "it's unlikely he'll make an exception"? It's an interesting business model, I grant you that! For me, another hard lesson learned! If you're shopping for bargains, it will only benefit you.
