This place was truly a hidden gem. We decided to stop by this place since there were not many places to eat in that area. It was a little difficult to find this place, but there it was, tucked in the corner in a tiny shopping complex. We built our own large vegetarian pizza, and it took them about half an hour to prepare the pizza since they made it from scratch. They have a small dining area in the next room, where we waited for the pizza. That was the best pizza I had in a long time. The tomato sauce was different and really good, and the crust was prefect too - not too chewy or hard. Sure, the pizza didn't hold up well (cheese kept sliding off of the slices), but I didn't mind getting a little messy as the pizza was quite delicious. We inhaled our pizza quickly despite it being piping hot. My husband loved his chicken sub too. It's a small family-owned place and it is a good place to visit if you are looking to eat in that area. read more

Soo glad this Pizzaria is still an option during the Coronavirus Pandemic. I usually call in for one slice of pizza but unfortunately one slice is not enough! I've been eatting their pizza for about 5-6 years now. At times the flavor of the sauce, or crust may taste adjusted compared to your previous purchase. Recently their pizza has been reminding me of Costco pizza; Flavorful, extremely generous slices, sauce isnt too spicy, and the best part is when the crust has a fluff to it but yet a light crunch (I'd rather pay the price than drive 50 miles to get a costco pizza). Overall, the staff at Ocean View Pizzaria are extremely friendly and courteous. My only suggestion is to keep consistent with the toppings or in general the food item itself; for instance I ordered a Large Pepperoni pizza with extra cheese. My first order didnt have much extra cheese on it, it tasted like a regular pepperoni cheese pizza that I paid an extra topping for.. But the second time I ordered a Large pepperoni pizza with extra cheese, they did exactly what I asked:D My pizza was generously topped with EXTRA cheese! I wouldnt complain with an extra cost for the extra topping. I will always be a return customer knowing that my food will constantly meet its expectation or taste amazingly great, as it did the previous time. The older woman who works behind the counter is very rude. Can't say how the food is, because I never got to order.

Food is great. Unfortunately service last night was not good. Upon receiving our order we had one item missing which would leave one in our party without dinner. Upon our explaining this the young lady told us we were wrong and I pointed out that she wasn't involved at all and I asked if tha gal who took our order was still there. I immediately received a snarky reply and a whole bunch of bad attitude. I was told that she was doing me a huge favor providing the extra item because"I don't have to make it for you at all because we are closed!" I told her it was over five minutes to closing and anyway we ordered long before closing. A gentleman who was standing there the whole time was told he could not order anything at all because they were closed. He said "I can't get a simple sandwich?" She grouches back,"no we're closed!" Our order was over $60!!! Plus the second transaction for the lasagna. The sweet gal that took our order was making our order and asked the snarky gal what toppings we wanted on the lasagna. The snarky gal said "She's getting plain cheese." At that time the gentleman came up front and I asked him what toppings came on the lasagna and he told me and I asked him to tell the nice gal which ones I wanted. He has worked there for years so I know he'd see we got the toppings. We have been eating here for many years and the food was always great and the service has been outstanding. We have never been treated so rudely. And during the ten minutes before closing a party of six and a party of two was turned away and I find it hard to believe that the owner would turn away sales of at least 8 sandwiches plus one lasagna even if it was just before closing. I even tried to apologize to the snarky gal but she was too grouchy and angry to listen. read more

Best pizza I have had in years! Tempted every time I go to the hardware store, but usually opt for their tuna salad instead, which is also really good. Friendly fast service every time I go there. For pizza, there is nowhere better south of Kona or Hilo, and equal to the best. read more

This is a pretty basic local pizza place. The prices aren't too bad. Topping prices are a little steep but if you keep your pizza simple it's a good deal. The crust is a great happy medium between too thick and too thin. The service is great - just down home nice people. I don't know that I would make it a destination, but if you live nearby or are hungry when you cruise through town, be sure to stop in. read more

I love their cheese pizza and my husband loves their French dip sandwich and supreme pizza. One time we asked to eat in and we waited and waited and our food was ready and sitting there for a while. That was a bit of a bummer, no real apology for forgetting we had food for there the only reason we noticed was because other orders were going out -- but sometimes mistakes happen so idk. Got the supreme veggie sub...dry,old bread,a dusting of pesto, wilted and blackened lettuce 1 thin sliced tomato, cut in half, 4 slices of jalapeño and about as many slices of black olive. A dusting of sprouts and a slice of provolone...all for $8.50. What a disgusting and disappointing meal. Never again and good will will not happen.
